It is a beautiful complex with the lake. Feeling of be safe in the gated community. The management team is beyond exceptional. Misty made me feel like part of the community from the moment I walked into the office

It was much better before the new group took over. The weeds are growing up the sides buildings, bushes never look cut and gates are constantly open when they should be closed. Appliances need to be updated terribly.

We are looking to relocate and be closer to family and met with Misty in the leasing office at Village on the Lake. Her bubbly personality was very comforting and the attention she gave to address each item on our list showed her knowledge of the property and she enjoyed being there. We look forward to making this our new home.

Enjoy the property
I enjoy the property- i have been here about 2 years now , I never have any issues. Leslie and Misty always take care of me. The pool is nice and I like to walk the neighborhood. The valet trash is nice.

This apartment complex was good and has potential. Lately it has gone downhill. It is sad to see things not be take care of properly with the fast turnover residents and staff just don't seem to care all that much.

It was great for the first two years, then their screening of applicants is non-existent, along with maintenance of the property. Staff overworked, gate always broken.Theft, drug dealing/prostitution.

My experience in the community has been superb thus far. The staff at the reception center, "Misty" in particular, has been phenomenal at answering any questions that I have had and to arrange attention to a few minor work orders. The maintenance personnel, "Bo" has been nothing but exceptional. Overall, I am happy with the decision of choosing this community.

The staff is super nice (Van Metre) and the complex is super safe. I have felt extremely safe, which was my biggest concern. Once, I forgot my keys in my front door and the gentleman that picks up the trash, knocked my door to let me know. I am SO grateful and this was the moment I confirmed that I made the best decision to choose Village on the Lake. The only "bad" thing that I can say, is that the staff could do better in terms of cleaning the gym. However, I have used the gym and I just clean the equipment before and after to feel comfortable. Other than that, I cannot think of anything they can improve.

I moved into my apartment in 2021 and I have loved every moment. Every issue that I have had they fixed it within a time period. The community events that were held were great. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I plan on renewing my lease again this year.

Awful experience over all. Staff is completely incompetent and unable to help with anything. I was told I have next up for a garage and then I called to ask again and they said I was 4th. I've maker has been broken for months and several calls have been made and requests put in and nothing ever done.

It used to be nice to live at but with new owners it's horrendous. You're made to feel like you're incompetent when placing any work orders and they are never competed properly. Do not waste your money.

Complex is a great option as it is in the middle of plenty of stores and not far from shopping centers. Keep in mind that if you live/drive here when the military base lets out ( 2:30pm- 4pm) traffic will be horrible. Lanes get backed up and you'll be waiting a fair bit at the complex is located in the middle of the traffic. Complex is nice looking, but has its blemishes. Has wooden stairs so they creak. Has Flat walls. Nice staff, although you will need to stay on top of work orders. Relatively quiet. Great location.

Stay away, management does not hold pet owners accountable, dog ----/smell EVERYWHERE !!! Trash thrown around compacter instead of in it.. GATES are broken ALL the time.. You pay a premium price for a very subpar place!

Beautiful, modern, great view with a great price.
As the title states. This apartment is underrated which is honestly what makes it stand out. It has a lake in the apartment complex which is absolutely gorgeous and really makes this location pop and give it class. Secondly the price is unbeatable in this area and has great amenities. Would recommend 100%.

The community is well designed with great views and fauna. Security seems to be the topmost priority of the community. With regards to trash management, it's the best I've seen so far. With an exceptional trash valet service at no cost to tenants. Most members in the community are also friendly when approached. Despite little and seldom noise here and there, for most part of the day and night it's very quiet and serene so a good sleep is always assured after a days work.

I love this community. Our apartment is home. We have lived here for a while. We like the use of the fitness center and the pool during the summer. We also enjoy the get together during the holidays.

Experience here for the most part is okay. Need to ensure that you have maintenance personnel. Mainly military but for the most part it's quiet. Eight minutes away from base. Traffic is not that bad getting from the base to the apartment.

Nice gated community. I feel safe here and have had no reason to change. Playground for children and great pool area. Employees are very concerned about your ease of life and friendly neighbors. Your pets are welcome and people greet your pet like a person every time they see you. Apartments are large and clean.

Where do I begin, from the drug dealer forcing the closed gates open on a Saturday night to the rear gate that is always open. The pool opened at the end of August 2022. Lastly they refused to renew my lease at rue end of September 2022 so I'll be living in my car I guess. I'm disabled, on oxygen 24/7, take blood thinner for the rest of my life along with 12 other medications. The complex, specifically Leslie McFadden is not a good person. I've known of the Van Metre name and was excited to to hear that they bought the complex. Rather than making everything beautiful, it looks worse than the HUD housing next door. They stopped cutting the lawn, no mulch any except by the sign and Leasing office. The clubhouse is only open M - F and there are over 30+ vacant units here. I had to beg the property to install a grab bar as I get out of the shower for over 2 months before they finally did something. Then the left debri and screws one the bathroom floor and in my hallway carpet. I'm on blood thinner so if I had cut myself bad enough from their laziness I could have bled out. When I sent photos to Leslie she agreed that it was unacceptable yet no one came back to clean up. All of the rules and regulations are not enforced, on the weekend people change their oil and take their cars apart on the weekend. I feel like this is Camden, NJ not Fayetteville NC. Thought the level of crime is similar. I could go on with more. And I shall the weeds where the mulch or pine straw should be are taller than the uncut and un-trimmed lawn and when the do cut they blow all of the trimmings onto my decorated patio.

The apartment complex is safe and quiet. The only things that need to be fixed is the pool and a updated play ground. The gym could use some updated equipment but is fair. As long as the rent does not increase tremendously we will stay.

The community is quite peaceful and generally kept in a neat and tidy condition. My neighbors are respectful of each other. I have not had any issues with them and I have lived on the compound since 2019.The office staff is friendly and always willing to assist.
