It's been great so far;...

It's been great so far; the only complaint is that the walls aren't as thick as I would like. I can hear people on the stairs and outside my door fairly clearly, and the door to my hallway is very loud when it closes. Otherwise, everything looked almost new/just cleaned when I moved in, the maintenance team has been very prompt and efficient, and the staff have been very easy to work with. High marks!

The apartments are in...

The apartments are in good condition. The appliances in the kitchen are a bit old. The windows are not very well insulated. The heater is in a hall closet and is extremely noisy to operate. I use a fan at night to drown out the noise so it doesn't keep me awake. The staff are very friendly.

Thank you for your comments. We do require a 60-day written notice to vacate. This allows us time to schedule work in your apartment and market the apartment to those that are planning a move. Although we are not required to notify residents that their lease will be expiring, we do make it a practice to send renewal notices, prompting a 60 day written notice or the opportunity to renew.

Good community. Quick maintenance and repairs. Friendly staff. Paying for laundry is a hassle and smoking residents are inconsiderate of nonsmoking residents.

We moved here over a...

We moved here over a year ago, and so far everything has been great. We opted for a top floor Jefferson layout apartment - and we hear very minimal noise from neighbors which is ideal. A few maintenance issues cropped up over time but were quickly addressed. Perfect for just the two of us and a great price considering other area apartment properties.

Very nice staff. Maintenance people are excellent. Grounds are immaculate. The grounds people do an excellent job year round. Snow removal staff were extraordinary. I thank the entire team a 5 star rating for their service and friendliness

Until this survey it...

I feel that there are safety issues not addressed for senior citizens. Railings into buildings including where you pay rent. Salt and sand not done in winter or done after most people have already left for work...eg 8-8:15 is way too late for this process because some of us seniors work.

This is a great community and I loved my stay here all the time. The only thing that I have noticed here that is not to my best liking is the windows insulation. May be that and the A/C area leaks some cold air into the house making the heating bill slightly higher than I would like it to be. Otherwise this is perfect apartment for living. Eventhough I am not particular about the patio, it would have made my stay here even more fun.

I lived at Boulder Park for 5 years and in that time I saw my rent go up a lot; ownership change hands and it went from bad to worse. The unit was old with horrible appliances, drafty windows, thin walls and so on. It got so bad I heard a female outside my window at 2:00 am urinating in the bushes. The place had a lot of problems. Heating system was something that was left over from the Flinstones TV show, it got so bad that they had to get scrap parts from other apartments to fix what was wrong in our unit. The front office staff were very rude, especially the manager who I had words with on more then one occasion. When tenants moved and it was a lot, I'd congratulate them on moving on and saw many who were very happy to move on. I was very happy to get out of there and live in a better place that was quiet and had good neighbors and actually had parking. If you can own vs. rent the differences are night and day. I like the apartments...

I like the apartments but when you call for maintenance it's takes a couple of days, sometimes I have to go to the office. Some time work is not done for the maintenance day there was nothing wrong with the complaints. It has been a frustration dealing with the maintenance. For example the stove that caused the fire, I was always complaining of it's smoking, the maintenance person told me it was alright and that was no reason to replace the stove...

I am glad to hear that you love it here! And you are correct, we don't salt the walkways. We have found that the chemicals in the ice melt product have a negative long term affect on the cement walkways. So, instead of salting, we sand the walkways. I have been at Boulder...

I have been at Boulder Park for about 11 years and have really enjoyed my apartment. It is very spacious and comfortable, and everyone from my neighbors to the leasing staff and maintenance team have been very courteous and friendly.

Community is very well landscaped that is the only positive thing about Boulder Park. There is more dishonesty in office staff (Property Manager) now than 5 years ago before current property manager came in.

We like a lot of thing...

We like a lot of thing about living here, but the situation with the heating system is really not right. Since winter is a very big reality in New Hampshire, all of the beautiful grounds and friendly people do not override the fact that the heating system doesn't work properly. It is cold! I just don't understand why it can't be fixed.

Illegal rental agreement doesn't allow moving out during winter months without a huge penalty (why is that the renter's problem that the office is incompetent in re-renting)! You are charged for 2+ extra months when move out -- also illegal. Air conditioners noisy and don't work well and management refuses to replace. Electrical outlets are illegally/poorly grounded shooting out sparcs. Only one kitchen appliance can be used at a time without throwing circuit breakers. Groundskeepers start loud lawnmower or leaf blowers at 8AM instead of waiting until later iin the day, waking lots of folks in the summer. Etc etc problems due to office staff refusal to listen and *act* on complaints in a rational manner.

I'm sorry that you are unhappy with the way that we structure our lease expirations. We do have fewer leases ending in the winter months, because in New England people just don't move as much in the winter, and this does help to prevent vacancies in the winter. We definitely don't charge for an extra 2 months when you vacate. You may be misunderstanding your lease? What we require is a 60 Day notice to vacate at the end of your lease. For example, if your lease ends on 5/12/14, you would give notice to vacate on 3/12/14. You don't pay for an extra two months. I looked at your history of service requests, and don't see that you have called anything in, about your outlets or your air conditioner. We would be happy to check these out for you, if you want to give me a call and give us permission to enter your apartment. I also understand your concern about the landscapers, but their contract does allow them to start work at 8:00am. We do not allow them to work on the property on weekends or holidays however. I noticed that you did not move in until November last year, so hopefully you weren't disturbed too many times by the landscapers!
