Just moved here from NYC, and what an amazing difference! Of course the apartment is so much more for the money, but many more pluses (e.g. maintenance is VERY responsive, floor plan is good, apartment is generally lovely with lots of light, including Skylight, and there's tons of storage!). And being essentially located on one of Albuquerque's best parks is a huge benefit. Staff is professional and friendly - particularly Ashley. What a gem. I've been very happy here!

My husband and I have lived here 10 months and have enjoyed our stay thus far. We love that our apartment has a skylight and a ton of natural light. We have not had any issues with management and we have always received prompt attention to any problems we have had. We also love all the beautiful trees and grass the property has, it is a rare sight to see in New Mexico. We love our apartment and intent to renew when our lease is up.

We have lived at Spring Park for four months. We absolutely love it! The reason we chose Spring Park was because of the beautiful park. We are lucky to have an apartment that opens up onto the park, so we have easy access to the walking trail. We have found the staff to be helpful and courteous at every turn. Maintenance is excellent and timely. We can walk across the street to Smith's grocery and to several excellent restaurants. We are also close to Sprouts, Target, and Walmart. We have a quiet apartment and would never consider moving anywhere else. We plan to stay!

I recently went looking for a 3 bedroom apartment but unfortunately none were available. The lady who showed me the property was super nice and helpful. The property was really pretty an well kept. I am sad they didn't have a 3 bedroom available.

I loved living at Spring Park! The location was tremendous and the community setting was extremely peaceful. The leasing staff was super professional and always willing to help whenever I need it. The Maintenance staff was quick to respond to any needs and always took care of the issue. I'd still be living here if life had not moved me across town!

My room mates and I found this place by accident and called right away. We were greated on the phone and set up a walk through. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful and the grounds beautiful. Now that we are all moved in, thanks to the extremely knowledgable staff (especially the assistant manager Angelica Vigil!) we get to wake up to beautiful natural light through out our place and enjoy the great views and fresh air on our front porch in a very safe neighborhood.

I have no complaints. Maintenance is always prompt. Girls in the office are great they call us to make sure any maintenance issue have been fixed and working correctly. Parking is a bit tight but once i rented a carport i have not had any further issues. I live in one of the large one bedrooms and love all the natural light that comes in from the skylight.

I've lived at Spring Park for 5 years and have no intention of moving. I love having the park so close to take my grandkids on weekends for walks and to play on the playground. There's a great shopping center right across the street which makes it so convenient. I've never had an issue with the people that work there...they're always friendly and listen to any issues I've had.

I've been a resident since December of 2012. I moved here because I loved the location and the park next door, as well as the fact that there is full size washer and dryer in the apartment. I live in the two story one bedroom townhome and I love my apartment. I have had a good experience during my stay here. My only complaint is that electricity does run higher in the winter time. During my first year here management recommended I weatherize my windows to help with electricity. I did as recommended, and also had maintenance put in more weather stripping on my front door. My bill did go down. It was still higher than other months but lower than it had been. Luckily my electricity usage was low the rest of the year. Maintenance is always quick to fix my repair requests. I still love the area, and the park was recently updated. I also love that there is a grocery store across the street. There are also so many pretty trees on the property and grass which is rare to see here in New Mexico. Overall I would recommend this community to others.

We moved in summer 2015 and we had to have multiple work orders put in including the toilet having to get fixed 3 times because they couldn't fix it the first time, the A/C had to get fixed twice because they couldn't diagnose the problem (it still doesn't blow cold air), the washing machine had three work orders and they said multiple times they fixed it, luckily I was home and I turned it off because it flooded all the way to the dining room and the downstairs apartment. The day we got the keys to our apartment somebody used the restroom and didn't even bother to flush it so who knows how long it was like that.. The past few months, there has been an uprising in vehicle break-ins and the management isn't doing anything about it, even if you feel unsafe. They said if you're not comfortable living here than pay out the rest of the lease, which can be up to a few thousand dollars. I absolutely DON'T recommend this apartment complex. Also, if you to to confront management about an issue they become very rude and they talk over you. This apartment complex is an absolute joke, even though I thought it looked appealing.

This apartment complex will totally rip you off, be careful !! Much better apartment complexes in the area. Many tenants questionable with the law. NEVER RENT HERE !!! Management is terrible, especially Sarah, the manager. Not enough parking, parking places to small. You pay for every thing water trash etc.... And the charges are ridiculous. Maintenence is a nightmare !! Plumbing problems, the water is turned off every two days. Roaches and spiders !! One of the worst Ive ever lived in. Wouldnt recomend it to anyone. This is a rip off apartment complex. When you move our they will charge you for everything over and above your security deposit. WATCH OUT. THESE PEOPLE MAKE LOTS OF MONEY ON MOVE OUTS !!!! even if you clean. THATS THERE SCAM. IF YOU RENT HERE PLAN A BILL FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS AFTER YOU MOVE OUT no matter how you leave it. They look good on the outside but management will screw you !!! If you go month to month they will charge you 200.00 extra a month !!! NEVER SEEN A MANAGEMENT TEAM SCREW PEOPLE LIKE THEY DO HERE !!!!!! They could care less about their tenants !!! Nice to get you in and then screw you !!!!! Evidently, they are big on taking tenants to small claims court, typical !!!! STAY AWAY !!!!!!!

This apartment complex is Average overall. Many problem with my apartment that had to repair even before moving in then many other issues of breaking. The washer broke then flooded my entire apartment, toilet broke flooding my entire apartment, smoke detector batteries died beeping to 2 days until resolved, A/C broke leaking fluid all over my apartment(only used it for a hour or two a day), and oven does not work at all(stove top did some of the time). Every issue happened with the 6 month lease I had and would be "Fixed", however, would have the same issue reoccur again. Then when I moved out I cleaned everything, but they needed to re-clean everything for their checklist which cost me a ridiculous $550 to clean my apartment again. I have never been charged so much for this horrible experience. DO NO MOVE IN. You will absolutely regret it right away as I have no come to see. Yes I did bring all of these issues to the complex manager, but they would not work with me or provide any customer satisfaction at all. All they did was blame it on corporate as they have their hands tied. Please stay away

I would strongly advise against renting here. My experience when dealing with management has been very poor. To list a few problems. - If your tags expire on your car for more than 2 days you will get booted and have to pay $150 in cash to get the boot taken off. No idea why the apartment cares about this but I saw several booted cars while I lived here - We signed up at a discounted rate from market value due to a promotion they were having. We gave 9 months advance on our move out date then were told we never did that so we had to pay a "pro-rated" amount for the remaining month. However this month cost us about $100 more than previous because we were outside of our contract at this point (which they forced on us). - The sink and dishwasher and disposal are all connected to the same pipe (which was plastic without sealant on it. We had a leak due to this and was charged for the damages even though it was obviously the apartment complex's faulty plumbing that caused the damage. I realize property rental is a shady business but this complex takes that to the next level. Please save yourself a year of headaches and do not rent here.

Lots and lots of bugs. Parking is really terrible unless you pay an extra $20. Sprinkler system is always pointing directly towards cars so get ready for the water damage to your vehicles. You can hear literally everything from the upstairs neighbors (bath water running, alarms, walking, cabinets closing). Apartments are old. My car got broken into so I called to make a report and they just said "Sorry about that." Didn't take my building number down or anything. They claim to have onsite security, but it's an outsourcing company that sends someone over when they get the chance. Lots of walking traffic from the park. And I agree 100% with the rest of the reviews as far as management and when they know your lease is up, they treat you completely different. Didn't feel entirely safe as a single mom with my little one, but the location next to the park was the only benefit (and curse).

Good price. Great location. Terrible parking. New management absolutely sucks. I was nothing but a good tenant the whole time i lived there, but when i moved out they screwed me. 1. With the old management i had to break lease once due to a military deployment. When I moved all my stuff out, the manager did a walk-through final out inspection with me to fix or clean anything on the spot, to ensure I didn't get charged anything (all was well). I enjoyed the apartment, so after my deployment I decided to move back in...new management. Lets say new management sucked. Angelica (spanish lady) was always rude to me for whatever reason. As other people stated, maintenance takes forever. 3 weeks to fix water leakage in the guest bathroom after I called every few days to follow up. Fast forward when my lease was up and it was time for m to leave. I CLEARLY asked if they were going to do a walk-through inspection to make sure i didn't get charged anything..."no, don't worry about it. Just turn in the key =)"..that's what i was told. The day I turn in my key i told them i had a few things i left and if i needed to trash them..."don't worry about it, maintenance will trash everything when they go through it =)"...6 weeks later I get a bill for $300 and there's nothing i can do about it since i didn't have anything in writing. FYI $100 of that was a "TRASH OUT APARTMENT." fee, after I was told "not to worry about it". Moral of the story, get everything in writing to cover your butt. If I ever move back to ABQ...i will go across the street to Mountain Run. 2. The same idiot (blondie, I forgot her name), who told me not to worry about an inspection, also told me that I wouldn't have to pay rent after I moved out since I was under a 30 days notice days. I gave them a notice at 28 days, I admit that was my mistake but the lady said I would be alright to move out. I get a nice surprise the day I move out from Angelica (rude lady who has a stick up her a**), "sorry, no proper 30 days notice"...I had to pay next months rent even though i was moved out. Again, I couldn't do anything about it. I would NEVER return, or suggest to anybody. Such a shame because it really is in a great location. Again, get everything in writing to cover yourself.

I do not have a single complaint. I've Lived here for 3 years and wouldn't move except I needed to be closer to UNM. I loved the luxury of the place. Washer, dryer, and microwave all in the unit. the entire staff spoiled me. I worked mostly with Angelica she is incredibly nice and has always made me feel like I was at home instead of just a tenatenant, she made the entire process easy for me. The new manager Sarah made sure that leaving was easy also. I had no stress moving in or out. Ashley is always smiling and cheerful to speak to. Maintenance staff always had an early morning smile for me and worked very hard to keep the grounds clean. Every maintenance issue I had was fixed quickly and they were always so friendly. The location is ideal for anyone. The rent is very reasonable. I was like family with all of my neighbors everyone that lives here is so welcoming and friendly. It is very quiet, and no one partied or got out of hand. the part of town is very safe. But there's always courtesy patrol making rounds and making sure everyone is safe. I will miss this place so much and I will always remember it as my first home away from home during my college years. Thank you so much Angelica, Sarah, Ashley, & maintenance!! You all made sure it was easy for me to live there and I will miss you!

Management is the worst !!! I have lived in a lot of apartments but these people are the worst. the manager is a total bi---. !! The apts are VERY loud. Parking costs you extra - so does water, trash and on and on. Allows dogs so dog crap around. Month to month costs 200.00 more per month. Everything there is money , money !!! Min rent length is 9 months !!!! I hated this place. Looks nice but they will screw you to the wall. STAY AWAY !!!

I rented here because of the location and the price was decent. The floors are a bit on the thin side I'd say though. My upstairs neighbor was complaining about the tv volume forcing me to use headphones... Also I could hear every footstep she made above me. Spring Park didn't seem to clean the common areas at all or trim the bushes around the sidewalks in my 5 months of living there. Upon receiving my deposit after moving out they charged me for carpet cleaning and told me it's a $45 charge unless you have it professionally cleaned and give them the receipt.. kinda ridiculous if you ask me... fyi doing it with a rug doctor doesn't count they said... This place is ok and in a good area. The pools are nice too. Just make sure you write down every discrepancy on the move in checklist or they will charge you! They tried to charge me $25 for a grease stain on the patio that was there when I moved in. It was an ok experience but I guess it's just an apartment in the end.

Not bad, not great. The buildings are older, and my unit had a funky smell to it coming from the fireplace. The price for the NE heights is really good, and it is in a pretty good location -- close to supermarkets, a big park, etc. I take very good care of my things and any apartment I'm renting, so I got my deposit back with no problems (minus charges for water, further discussed below). There are only two things that I didn't like about the apartment and company: 1) I moved to this apartment complex specifically because I wanted to live close to the Academy Hills Park. Unfortunately, right as it started to get warm and people started to use the park, the City of Albuquerque shut down the entire park from March to September for renovations. Now, don't get me wrong; I really appreciate the fact that the city is upgrading the park. But when I signed my lease just two months prior to them shutting down the park, the landlord made absolutely no mention of the renovations to the Academy Hills Park. The landlord claimed that they didn't know about these renovations. This is the sort of thing that the apartment complex should be keeping track of, and I'm sure that an apartment complex that is directly connected to the park must have received some sort of notification from the city. This leads me to believe that they did in fact know about the construction, but didn't want to say anything to their potential tenants because they feared it might scare them off. 2) Midway through my lease, Spring Park Apartments started charging a $3.00 administrative fee on my water bill. They're entitled to do this, but it just seemed like they were nickel-and-diming me for everything. Furthermore, the lease agreement states that tenants are not responsible for paying for the water for common areas, but as the weather warmed up and they began watering the grass more, my water bill coincidentally went up as well. I asked on several occasions to see a more detailed water bill (i.e. what does the Water Authority charge Spring Park, and what charges does the company pay and what charges are passed on to tenants). Spring Park always said they would get that to me, but never did. I asked for about three months. If you do choose Spring Park, you might want to ask about how the water bill structure breaks down and make sure you're not overpaying. Also, as with any apartment company, make sure you look over the Attorney General's guidance on renting: http://www.nmag.gov/consumer/for-students/renter-s-guide
