Extremely poor management

I found the senior management at the operating company, Bernard/ Allison, and the local management at Spring Park to be among the most unresponsive business persons I have ever dealt with. They say all the right things in their promotional literature, but when it comes to treating their customers with integrety and respect, they failed miserably. Surely there are better options in the Northeast Albuquerqre area.

New Management

Wow things have been great since they got a new manager and some staff change. they were beyond nice to me.They helped me with everything i needed all of the docs that was needed and all the requirements were provided before i ever filled out the application. I was told that a new company bought them about 3 months ago and i could visibly see that they are making changes such as resurfacing the pools and upgrading some of the apartments. Everything looked nice and i was able to speak to some of the residents they were happy with there new staff.. I RENTED ...

Worse place to leave in Albuquerque

Too much noise, items stolen from locked vehicles, rapes. Not exactly the best place to live. Great location, really poor management.

DONT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Management are idiots and totally non professional. Mice in apartments. Maintence sucks !!! Noisy, Mgt could care less if you have a problem. Ive lived in a lot of apartments and this mgt are the worst !!! Totally gone downhill !!!!!!!

Management has changed several times in the last year and I hoped they would be better. THEY ARE WORSE !!!!!!! They just dont seem to be able to get it together Im outta here !!!!!!!

Ignored!

The leasing agents ignore you! All management personnel are ignorant fools who should retake management classes at UNM and/or be retrained. I have no clue as to why people rent there! Stay away, far away.

Be there for the walk thru!!!

I moved out and when I did I had to turn in my keys on a Saturday and was not there for the walk-thru. I trusted that management would make an honest assessment. When I got the final account statement I found that they charged me $15 to clean the toilet. They tried to say that the toilet was filthy. The toilet was clean on Saturday so I'm afraid that they're running a scam when the tenant is not present. Word of advice....be there for the walk-thru and don't trust anyone in management.

IF YOU OWN A DOG, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU!!!!

I really enjoyed the location of the apartment. The property was well kept and maintenence was efficient. I did have a problem with the women that run the front office. They were horrible, showed me one apartment then put me in another. They accepted my lost dog into the front office, lost her or supposibly lost my dog then failed to notify me that my dog was lost or even taken to the front office. Even though my dog was fully chipped, tagged and collared. They also lied about contacting me and the supervising manager refused to discuss the situation. Not helpful, lying theives. If you own a pet this apartment complex is not for you. Also keep an eye on any property that might turn up in the front office. One more thing, the television in the gym is lacking a power button, what is the luxury of a gym tv that can't be turned on.<br>The indoor pool and hot tub is awsome and the people that live here are awsome.

Good place to live

I lived in these apartments for a year with my boyfriend, and we both loved them. The amenities are awesome and very up to date. The staff was very nice! and did there job very well. They were very understanding, and the maintenence guys were good. They were very effecient. The apartments were kind of pricey but worth it! I really liked it there. One of the only compaints i have is the vandalism. And the parking. If you didnt get home at a decent hour, you had not much of a choice of parking.

ok to me

My girlfriend and i have lived here since 2005 and although we have had our problems with the management (they really lack customer service skills), the maintenance guys are cool and get their work done fairly quickly (there are 300 apartments here). The complex is safe, pleasant, and you get a big park right behind... we like living here, it is quiet, a security company patrols late at night and the amenities are nice.<br>the cons are that we get mice (but pest control is efficient), it takes great time and effort to get through to the office gals when you have a problem as they tend to blame it on you first -- took us a year or so to get a brand new AC unit when the old one was broken --.<br>there are worse places in this town, arm yourself with patience and this could be a good place for you....<br>

just o.k.

I currently live here, but once my lease runs out I will not renew it. It is not the worst of places, but it is not the best either. Some improvements are being made- such as replacing old appliances with decent new ones. <br><br>However there is one major problem with this place- the sprinkler system. It sprays water all over the cars: hard water. I cannot see out of the windows in my car AND it doesn't come off in a carwash- count on spending a lot of time scrubbing that residue off, or spending a lot of money to get your car specially washed to avoid having to repaint it or replace the windows. It is terrible. Complaints of this appear to fall on deaf ears because absolutely nothing has been done about it. I am not the only one irked by this- so are many of my neighbors.<br><br>The grounds are nice, it is nice to live in a little 'oasis' of sorts full of green grass and trees in the middle of the desert. It's also awesome living next to a park. <br><br>The maintenance is okay. The office staff is fine. I haven't had any problems with them at all, they have always been polite to me. But then again, I make a point to be really polite ESPECIALLY when making a maintenance request. <br><br>Overall this is a fine place to stay at for a while. It is quiet- so that is a BIG plus. I also feel safe here- no vandalism (that I know of).

Dont even waste your time .total nightmare living here not safe for your children

The person who wrote this place is nice is the one of the staff trying to fix problems with unhappy tenants which never happens.My apartment was broken into in the middle of the day and nobody saw anything i tried to tell the staff and they told me they were too busy to care.The staff and maintnance staff are total lowlifes.I totally think one of the maintanance staff had something to do with my apartment being robbed becase they have all the keys and door wasnt kicked in or anything. I am filing criminal charges against them currently in a investigation on this matter.Dont live here you will totally regret it.If u have children dont even think about this place. I have had threats posted on my car for parking incorectly and the staff has threatened me too.

Nice place to live

This is a very nice place to live. I really enjoy the property and the office staff is very friendly. They recently changed managers and the new woman is very kind and friendly. i am happy to live here.

This is crazy!!!

I am a resident here and have been for sometime now. By reading all of the reviews, most of them just make me laugh...as far as the maintenance staff I feel they do a GREAT job, sometimes things take a little longer to get fixed but think about it....sometimes parts need to be ordered or something is not in (give them a break, it not like they own Home depot and can have supplies at the snap of their finger) The office staff has always been very helpful, ya leasing staff has changed over the past year but that happens...Sring Park has had the same Assistant Manager for over 3 years and that has to say something.<br>As far as the water comment and the staff being "cranky"...imagine all the people calling at one time freaking out about not having water, I called as well just to question and they seemed a little exhausted..I would be too, saying the same thing over and over and over. <br>Overall my experience here has been great, I feel safe and enjoy the beauty of the grounds.....give them a break, it takes a lot of work and patience to run a huge property and make over 300 apartments happy!

Not so bad!

I sat down to write a fantastic review for Spring Park when there was a slight maintainance problem for the whole complex (water was off). I didn't mind the problem, BUT when I went to the staff they seemed irritated that I was inquiring about the lack of water. I have really had a great experience here at Spring Park. The grounds are clean, the residents are respectful, and I love the amenities. I feel like we are safe here, and it is a really good sign when the staff lives in the complex as well. Which..they do. The office staff WAS a little cranky about there being a 5 hour abscence of water, but I am sure they heard about it from EVERY tenent. They girls should probably drop some of the attitude with some of the tenents, but it is only ONE girl that is really bratty...from my experience. I like Spring Park. I like almost all the staff. I feel like it gets a bad wrap.

Used to be a nice place to live

This used to be a nice place to live. I've been here quite a while and before the place got sold last year (2005), the office staff was really nice, and the maintenance staff was first class. Since the new owners have replaced the staff, nothing gets fixed right, and the office staff are down right rude and intimidating. Certainly won't be renewing my lease here again.

The management sucks the parking really sucks..No security .nothing ever gets fixed the mantanience manager tony arragon is a total ------- and a fake tool.Dont even think about this place.all that will happen is your car will get stolen and your car will get threats posted on it.

WARNING: don't even think about it

The place was a dump. Extremely outdated AND dirty. There was a mouse hole in the trim-no kidding-like a cartoon "Tom and Jerry" hole for who knows what to enter the apartment at will. Under sinks the walls were rotted or broken out, and just covered by shabby boards. Under the kitchen sink was rotting and sunken it. Water damage to bathroom floors and vanities. Broken and moldy tiles in bathrooms. And in laundry area, moldy soft walls were merely painted over. The dishwasher was turquoise inside if that tells you how old it was, and there were food particles in the drain as if it had never been cleaned. Black grime covered closet shelves to hang clothes on. And all the staff does is make excuses like it's YOUR problem that they rent out apartments in sub living standards. They just want your money and they'll do anything to get it. Lie, create air tight paperwork, and do it with a smile so that you don't know you're getting the bad end of the deal.

Not worth a --------. This place treats their tenents like crap. The mangement company is terrible. Ive heard some of these units have black mold !!!!!!!!!! A tenent who lived net to me had earaches all the time inside the unit. The place looks good but is really a piece fo crap. management is totally rude !!!!!!!!Everyone should boycott this place!!

Crappy doesnt even start to explain-

Well lets start with the office staff. Rude rude rude. Ask a question, put in a work order, pay rent and all you get is ATTITUDE. Can you believe the heavy set girl was talking about someone's personal life when I walked into the office and she looked at me as if I had interrupted her conversation. Well I must have since all she was doing was screaming and stating volgarities. And of course the "MAN" manager just looked at me and walked away in disgust. No wonder there is a high turn over in staff. And let's go to the Maintenance. Can you say let's blow up an air conditioner and let's swim in the swamp. Oh, that's right the city shut it down. And what's up with not cashing my rent check? I pay on time, cashed my check and then charged me late fees. Had to fight it out with the manager which is extremely rude and leave messages late at night and early in the morning. Hell, he even call my work. And I DID PAY on time.<br>CANT WAIT TO MOVE. LEASE EXPIRES SOON.

To the person who wrote "bad"

I am a resident at Spring Park and The office staff has always been very nice, respectful and very helpfully when dealing with them. Maybe you are the one with the "bad" attitude. As far as the water , sewer and trash usage and having to pay for that...you can thank the mayor for that issue, its something that all apartment complexes charge and you would have obvously known that if you looked around before deciding to move here. As far as having a small apartment, again that was a choice......Tey have 7 different floorplans for god sake....must of been cheap on your part for choosing the smallest one. And last but not least the charge for the covered parking is $20 a month once a again a choice on your part....if you cant afford that then maybe spring park isnt for you....try the ------!!!<br>
