Great place to live

I live at this apartment complex only for a year; however, I had a great experience, and only wish my other living situations were as enjoyable. Great staff and great community.

      Perfect

      Thank goodness the management cares more about our happiness than collecting money. Lately the teenagers and kids were getting way too wild, but that has been stopped, thank gosh, or i was going to have to talk to a few parents, if you can call someone who lets their 14 year old out after 12!!! But i have seen the troublesome kids moving, and i feel the management is behind it. I know the manager lives here, so she probally saw what i was seeing and getting fed up with it, too. I just wish i had called and reported what i saw. But everytime someone moves in here and they turn out to be trouble, they dont last past 4 months, and i know the shortest lease they can have is 6 months, so i just know they are being asked to leave. It has always been so quiet here, and i just assume it stay that way. I understand that management cant possible know BEFORE someone moves in if they will be trouble, or have troublesome kids, but atleast they do get them out as fast as possible. Not like some apartments that care more about getting everyones rent and not about their happiness and comfort!!!<br><br>The grounds are well kept. We just got some more pet stations put in for people with dogs to put the "poo". Jesus is still here for work orders, so you know things are beinf done right. And the girls in the office have been here for a while now and all are very nice. I have never had any issues here and have been here for 5 years now. Its, great.

          great and just getting better!!!!

          We now have spikes on our gate to keep the idiots from hitting i. the grounds are looking better, i see the mexican girl that works for the office always cleaning up what others forget. the office people are still the same, shawnna, meridith, and georgia, all very nice. I just rented the clubhouse the other night for a party and all my guest were very impressed.<br><br>i really like living here and encourage anyone looking for a place that they want to call home, to come on over.

            I'm the Manager

            While i enjoy reading feedback, as i use it to better my property, I'm apalled at some of the accusations. I hope all you readers will take into consideration that there is no way to make everyone happy all of the time, and that an upset resident has a tendancy to elaborate small issues. I have been at this property for 3 years and just like anywhere else, we have situations arise, but we always resolve them. My staff genuinely cares aboutthe property, they always go above and beyond for our residents. We are always looking into ways to better serve our residents. I would just suggest you call or come by before you make any final decisions about us. I look forward to meeting with you and showing you around, then you'll see why we have so many residents that continue to stay year after year. So, come on over and make your own evaluation.               Not a bad place to live

              The apartments seem to be well maintained. There are quite a lot of cockroaches, and spraying only seems to encourage them. I think that this complex offers about the best value I could find for the price. I do think the pool area could be better supervised by parents. I have noticed several young kids in the pool area at night, unsupervised. The garbage area does smell..maybe the containers should be washed once in a while. Overall, it´s an adequate place to live. If you don´t like it, buy a house. People with the worst credit this side of the Mississippi can buy homes now days. Think about it.

                THE BEST APT. I HAVE EVER LIVED IN!!!!

                I am one of the few that have been here since the beginning, and i have seen it change and grow, but I could not ask for a nicer place to live. It is quiet, my kids can go out and play, my wife works out late at night in the 24 hr. fitness center without any fear. My car has never been vandalized.<br><br><br> As for the property itself, i have seen things go wrong, such as broken gates, dog poop, etc, but I have always seen the office take care of it immediately. I feel that for the most part people here genuinely take pride in where they live. I have rarely heard my neighbors, i also do not hear loud bass from cars on site, as i did at out last apartment just down the road. I feel that the office truly tries to make everyone here happy, anything that i have ever needed they did without hesitation, and always so polite. now, i know you can not make everyone happy all of the time, but as long as i have been here, i have rarely heard from the people here about any bad experiances with the office. That really says something, my last aprtment never returned my call, and were often very rude, not to mention CHEAP! i recently renewed my lease and the manager, Shawna let me re-vinyl my entire apartment!! My wife was able to pick out the style. <br><br><br>If you are considering this place, you are on the right track, but, hey if you are loud, or break the rules, please don t!!!<br><br><br>ps, i know the manager and she lives on site, so she will know what you are up to and you wont be here long. i remember about 1 yr. ago there was a couple of guys in an apat. near the pool that threw parties, took their dog into the pool and overall just neglected all the rules, i think they lasted 2 months before the Shawna made them take a hike. <br><br><br>well, i know this is long, but i cant believe some of those complaints, some people just must have nothing better to do than to complain. but, hey make your own judgement!! JUST REMEMBER THINGS ARE BOUND TO GO WRONG ONCE IN A WHILE, NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, BUT HOW THOSE THINGS ARE RESPONDED TO REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!have a nice day!!!

                  Absolutely Lovely

                  My wife and I moved into Remington Canyon about a month ago, and we love it so far. We have had pleasant experiences with the office staff. The grounds are well kept and clean (previous reports in this list to the contrary are a falsehood). The pool and spa area are very nice. My apartment is close to the gates and major street and the noise level is still quite bearable. The apartment was clean and freshly painted upon move in. I´ve had two maintenance calls for broken vertical blinds and the gas fireplace to which were both responded within a day. <br> <br>A previous post refers to the "trash area" (this refers to the dumpster enclosure which is behind a block wall); this area is often filled as it approaches collection day, and some residents can be careless when it comes to making sure their garbage is in the dumpster. Each collection day this area is cleaned by staff and looks much better. If there is any reason for this, I´m sure it is because there are residents who take no pride in their home or community. Upon further inspection, I´m sure their own apartments resemble that dumpster enclosure. <br> <br>The residents are definitely not "white trash"; in fact, my wife was just commenting yesterday that she was surprised how many high end vehicles lived in our community. There are more luxury sedans and newer full-size SUV´s parked around this community than in my previous single family residential community in Silverado Ranch. <br> <br>I planned on buying a house within 6 months of moving into this apartment, but because I enjoy my apartment so much, I might stay longer before buying a house. I have seen NO cockroaches, as previously stated in a post. It´s a beautiful place to live and I would recommend it to anyone.

                      OTHER PEOPLES BITCHING

                      FIRST OFF PEOPLE SHOULDNT BE SO CRITICAL ON THE LIVING CODITIONS THEY ARE IN,IF THEY PICKED THIS PLACE TO START OFF WITH THEN OBVIOUSLY THEY HAD TO LIKE SOMETHING ABOUT IT.SECOND OFF NOT EVERYONE IS PERFECT,YOU CANT EXPECT THE PLACE TO BE CLEAN 24/7 ESPECIALY THE GARBAGE AREA ITS TRASH WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!!!THIRD OFF MANAGMENT ISNT YOUR SLAVES ITS NOT THEIR FAULT THAT OTHER ATTENDANTS DONT PICK UP THEIR DOGG ----!INSTED OF BITCHING PICK IT UP YOURSELF,AFTER ALL IT IS WERE YOU LIVE THAT REAFLECTS WHO YOU ARE AND THIS IS A COMMUNITY.AND FOURTH OFF LEARN HOW TO SPELL BEFORE YOU COMPAIN ABOUT THESE WONDEFULL AP.

                        One of the best communities I have lived in!

                        I have just recently viewed the comments made about Remington Cantyon. I could not believe what I was reading. My wife and I made a trip to Henderson, NV to locate a place to live. We searched high and low at every complex we could look. Finally, we came across Remington Canyon. We found the staff to be very helpful in every way possible. They took the time to show us a beautiful model of a apt. home. We we got back to Waco, we decided to live here. Upon moving in, our garbaged disposal quit working, and a maintence man was there that day to have it fixed. The grounds here have been very clean and watered frequently. About the trash area, for god sakes, what does a trash area look like. If every tenant would take the time and pick up trash that didn´t make it to the recepical, then it would not be trashy looking. The pool area has been nothing but clean, I have used it every night upon moving in. The wait center is great. I would recommend anyone to move in here.                           The trash area is dirty????what a concept!!

                          I have yet to see a trash area that is as pristine as these people expect. The grounds are well maintained and maintenence picks up the trash that the residents are too lazy to put in the receptacle, wonder where the bugs are coming from???? As for the dog poop, well, if you see who is doing it the office will gladly fine those responsible, however, the office is not psychic by any means and relies heavily on the residents to help be the eyes and the ears. And if there is trash outside, why can no one ever just pick it up to help keep the place looking nice instead of complaining?? This is supposed to be a community, which means we all work together to make the place as nice as possible to live, no one wants to be embarrased of where they live. For some reason residents are under the belief that the office and maintenence staff are to be at their beck and call every second, and to clean up after them, lord forbid they have other things to do. I love my apartment, however I am embarrassed at how spoiled the other people are. Some things are out of the offices hands, due to fair housing laws, you can not deny anyone just because they look like trashy people. and the people make up the community. The office has no prblem giving resident what they need, some people get new carpet, vinyl, etc just for renewing thier lease. I just get so annoyed at the way people will use anything as a complaint, and always before giving the office a fair chance to correct the problem, I´m sure some people have had bad experiances, it can happen anywhere, but over all, it IS a nice place to live.

                            I RATHER LIVE IN HELL ...............

                            Upon living In Remington Canyon I NEVER EVER had so many problems in my life!!!! Starting off on how disgusting the trash area is and how trash is every where and the grounds are unbearable to look at .. and how you have to worry about your car and if it´s be broken into or if the kids have thrown rocks at it ..... the kids trear up the grounds and missing trees everywhere ....Let´s not get started on the pool area .... the spa has been broken for how many months now and the pool, how dirty is it and i thought the fittness center was 24 hrs guess thats a lie !!!!! And what about the pets ... dogs and weight limt i guess not... there all kinds of big dogs and let alone there dog poop everywhere that no one picks up so your kids track it the house or you do....!!!!!! <br> let alone getting your heat or air worked on in this place is not happing he´ll come by and rig it " for awhile to get you bye until you end up call agin to have them to do the same thing... because mgnt is to cheap to call someone who knows what there doing...... <br> <br>what about the bugs.. cockroach haven.. yeah they have a bug man come bye once a week but i think they use sugar water to bring them in ...... well it´s your health your life...URGE YOU TO LOOK SOMEWHERE ELES!!!!!

                              Cockroach Haven!!!

                              So many problems, where do I begin. <br> <br>This place is disgusting! There were cockroaches everywhere and this seemed normal to everyone that lived there. Where I come from cockroaches are not "seasonal".So we were told. <br> <br>"Make sure you put the drain plug in at night". This is what the maintenance people told us to stop the cockroaches. <br> <br>And might I add the abundance of white trash lurking around the property. As far as the appliances, The stove and the microwave were both broken upon move in and we couldn´t oook dinner for three days. "This was not a maintenance emergency" we were told. After living there one night I didn´t even feel like eating. The apartment upon move in was filthy. I don´t even think they cleaned at all. <br> <br> <br>Needless to say after the staff saw how disgusted we were they let us out of our lease before the second month´s rent was due. If you like a nice clean place to live you can sit this one out. <br> <br>

                                great staff

                                The staff, now consisting of Shawna and meredith, (Dolores ahs been moved to venatan Canyon)are great. Very honest and caring, always wiling to go the extra mile. I borrow the clubhouse for different things now and again without an ounce of hesitation from the office. They are also very organized, I know that whatever I submit to them will be handled and put into my file. Also, Management DOES deal with problems in a very timely fashion. The people in the comment above probally dealt with the manager, who changes every other day, the only downside, when they should have dealt with Shawna, the Assistant Manager, she always handles issues in a very fair, diplomatic manner, all the people i know who live here love and respect her. We just can not figure out why she is not the manager yet. why they continue to hire these total boneheads is beyond me. So, a word to the wise: deal with Shawna if you want something handled. <br> <br>JP <br>lived here over 2 years <br> <br>

                                  Would greatly improve if....

                                  Major concern: total lack of recycling AND hideous and unsanitary trash areas. Some tenants are extremely careless about their trash and trash bags (some with spilled contents), can be seen DAILY on the ground next to the bins in the trash areas. The floor in the trash areas are simply nasty. <br>Second concern: unattended tenant´s children have occasionally vandalized cars (broken antennas and stolen accessories). <br>Problem tenants and/or problem tenant´s children should be addressed and dealt with by management. <br>Strong positive: excellent response time from maintenance team. Always helpful and ready to help. <br>Complex is relatively new and in good condition. <br> <br>
