Enjoyed Our Stay!
I've lived in many large apartment communities similar to Autumn Creek and this was a fine place to call home upon moving to area. The location is great and much more convenient than some of the similar communities we looked at. Staff is friendly and informative. Never had problems with response for maintenace. Have read other postings about bugs and yes, had a bug or two in our place occasionally but who hasn't? Pet friendly which was important to us and our apartment was located in pet building located in quiet area off the main entrance. All, in all a good experience. Thanks!

The Wicked Witches
This apartment complex is the worst place to live in all of Western NY. The management has no idea how to deal with people and the apartments are not worth the hassle.

When moving out it was a complete nightmare made worse by the management. It took over 2 months to receive a portion of our deposit back. We were charged over $500 for damage to the carpet in which was in the same exact condition when we moved in. If they find a spec of dust in the final walkthrough they will charge you $30 a pop.

The management of the Autumn Creek apartments did everything possible to make our stay as uncomfortable as possible. I have lived in 3 other apartments and I must say this was far beyond the worst. Do yourself a favor and stay away, far away.

Didn't want to leave
Lived here for 4 years- left when I retired and purchased home out of the area. The comlex manager always greeted me by name and took care of any repair problems pretty quickly. The apartment itself was great. Really big rooms with loads of closet space. I had moved out of a house before I lived here, and the apartment really felt like a house-- not a apartment. Thats another reason I stayed so long there. Great job of clearing sidewalks and parking lots during winters, and in Buffalo- that's no small feat. I have recommended this place to others

The worst apartment complex we ever lived in
I have lived in numerous luxury apartments in my life and if luxury is what you are looking for at Autumn Creek, be sure to look elsewhere. There are two major problems with this apartment complex: shoddy construction and horrible (and I mean HORRIBLE) customer service.

Where do I even begin? The paint they use is extremely cheap. After barely touching it, it causes scratch marks. Ask for touch-up paint and they give you the wrong color (after waiting two weeks for it and making numerous calls). Light bulbs go out (that are their light-bulbs) and they ask you to buy the replacements. The ovens are horrible because they don't heat up properly. It can take three hours to attempt to bake a cake and it still won't be cooked right at that point. The toilets do not work correctly and we chronically had low water levels in ours.

As another reviewer correctly stated, the landscaping is terrible. Large swaths of grass are brown. In one spot, there is a bulldozer with a flat tire, with the shovel head pierced and embeeded in the asphalt. The little pond they have is filled with green muck and is never maintained. There is once maintenance person for 240 units.

Some people I know have had flodding due to cheap and inefficient piping. The rooms are poorly ventilated. We actually had to buy a radiator for one room because it was freezing in it, no matter how high we put the heat. The pool is rarely cleaned. They put a ceiling fan over the place where you would have a kitchen table, but no where else. Who wants a celing fan there? How but putting one in the den or master bedroom?

Have a complaint about any of these things? Don't bother because the complex is run by an obnoxious and tyrannical woman who blames the customer first. Pipes broke? It's your fault. Lightbulb out? You fix it. Calling too much for maintenance? We're going to charge you extra. It's literally a total disgrace.

Do not be fooled by the fake smiles you get when you ask for a tour. It is all show. Want to know what it is really like before making a committment? Ask some people around there. They will all pretty much tell the same story. So please, do yourself a favor, prevent high blood pressure, don't waster your money, and go anywhere else but Autumn Creek.

All flash, no substance
When we moved in, we were dazzled by the size of the apartments, and the fact that everything was new. Well, except for our carpet, which was pretty beat already. We quickly discovered that "new" doesn't mean "quality." The apartments are not well constructed. In the winter, we had horrible drafts and a complaint led nowhere. The windows are extremely large and hard to insulate, especially the sliding glass doors, which almost rattle in their frames. Our furnace and water heater were of the lowest quality and efficiency. In the summer, instead of drafts, we were treated to incredible amounts of bugs. I have lived in over a dozen homes and apartments, and have never lived in a place with so many bugs. Sow bugs, millipedes, ants, spiders; my daughter lived in fear of them. Two complaints to the office resulted in no action. The lawns were poorly cared for, despite frequent pesticide treatments and mowing, they were otherwise left, and we had brown patches of dead grass and mud nearly all summer. There are no garages available, and we have to compete for parking near our building. The topper is that, when our lease came due, and we were still looking for a home, they wanted to charge us $200 extra per month to go monthly without a new lease. The extra square footage isn't worth it. Edited to add: I can't let my toddlers play outside; the lawns are covered with dog crap that isn't picked up. Neighbors moved in upstairs and the noise is intrusive. I have had two work orders open for four months with NOTHING done on either; one is just for a replacement furnace filter! Why are we still here? Because of the outrageous penalties for breaking the lease or going month to month. That's all. Edited to add: Garages had mice! Discovered this in very unpleasant ways.

Nice but pricey.

Pet apartments are located along busy roadway.

Fitness center crowded on the weekend.

Bathrooms are huge, with one adjoining each bedroom.

Linen closets in each bathroom are very convenient.

Walls are well-insulated from noise but the traffic noise in certain apartments can make the patio/deck unpleasant.
