Crazy, from elevator issues, to the water being completely shut off, to issues with the front door security. Not to mention the AC and heating unit doesn't work. My partner and I also had issues trying to upgrade apartments.

I lived in a 1BHK, the room was good and the tennis court down was also good. And the good part is the maintenance sucks, starting with elevator (where there was a time only one elevator worked ) to trash chute room (getting stuck and there was a time during my stay where the room was locked from inside). When I tried to convey this to Greystar (The luckman management), they told me that they expect me to throw trash down from 9th floor. Not in the air xD I need to take elevator and and go down. Whats funny is the elevators are not working. Although your security deposit will be around $500 (less compared to surroundings). They charge you at the end. I have been charged $400 for minor painting issues. $350 for not cleaning, how can you expect to throw the trash when your trash chute room is locked.

Only got worse as time went on. Rude staff/security, dirty building, bug and flooding issues for the last 1.5 years I lived there. The pool was constantly closed due to non-residents somehow getting to the roof to use it. Washer/dryers ALWAYS broken and steal your money. Heating/cooling never works properly, 85+ degree and below 63 in the winter.

There's nothing good about this place. Constant leaks, fire alarms, trash being thrown out the windows, no air conditioning in 80 degree springs, puke in the hallways, and hardly no one cleans up or fixes anything around here.

I read the reviews on line about this building and to be honest it was pure rubbish. I moved in a few weeks ago and i haven’t seen anything worth writing a horrible review for. If there are repaid and certain things need to be turned off or shut off they are great at communicating that with the residents. So far good experience.

I think the building is not well maintained. I have found cigarette butts in the hallway, which irritates me because I have asthma and do not want to live in a building where people are smoking. There is frequently trash, food, or dog poop found in the stairwells, hallways, and laundry room. The AC in my apartment is not enough to keep the temperature down, which keeps me from being able to sleep at night.

It’s ok. I love my apartment though. City is loud. Grounds are getting better at being clean. Safety has been improved. It’s close to everything. Maintenance is good at responding to building situations but not good at individual. Staff is pretty good.

Great rooms, security and parking are nice. Hallways smell bad, elevators take forever and maintenance is great but takes weeks to get to your work orders. The staff are friendly, but take forever to answer phones and are likely understaffed (weekend emergencies, etc.)

This apartment was located in a convenient location. Easy access to work. Close to any amenities needed for my residence. Somewhat affordable but wish they were more transparent with their fees and inquiries.

My experiences at the luckman have been horrible since Greystar took ownership of the building. They have charged me for fees that are their responsibility in my lease. They never answer calls or emails and their voice mail box is full. ALL of their emails have typos and spelling errors, so it is obvious that they don’t care about their residents. There is never cleaning equipment in the gym. The elevators are always out of service and the hallways are full of trash and pet excrement. The amenities are not as promised & the majority of the staff (if you can get in contact with them) are rude.

It was fast and good response in need and they help us with good quality maintenance and respond quickly with the issues and polite. It was very easy to sign lease and follow the process to move in and I had very good experience with luckman and it got very scenery’s from the building

Overall, I am "satisfied" with the Luckman. But, there are positives and negatives. The positives: location in the heart of the city, overall cost compared to other downtown apartments. The negatives: safety - security is often not present at the desk and there have been serious security problems in the past; noise - there are people who blast music at all hours of the night, even on weekends, security not being present means there is no way to address it; management - they are friendly, but they seem to be focused on putting out fires rather than basic issues, amenities are closed (like the pool) for long periods of time with no explanation; communication - don't expect to know why certain issues keep happening, the elevators will be down for months, pool closed, and someone will be in your parking spot, but you won't hear from anyone.

This place is poorly ran overall . Ive never stayed anywhere with such low standards. Im shocked that this building is actually downtown . To be in a prime location it certainly doesnt meet the basic standards

College students are noisy, domestic violence every night (at least on my floor). Cops come often looking for people. Cant walk outside alone at night/morning because people hassle you/yell to you. Maintenance doesn't come, took over 3 months to get my blinds and stove fixed and took my boyfriend to run into someone and tell them my issues when I was at work. Staff is okay (now) but before the new owners came along they were rude and could never talk with you or fix your problems. I had to pay rent with a cashiers check instead of online for 3 months before I could pay rent online. With all that being said, It isn't the worst place in Cleveland but you can find similarly priced places that are alot more kept and safe.

The staff only fix things when its absolutely necessary. The elevator, hot water, and other items have been offline for weeks at a time. The parking garage is not enforced or protected. The garbage often piles up so much that everything smells like trash

The Luckman is at a great location for downtown activities. The Luckman does struggle keeping working elevators which can be a pain. They have a boiler so it does take a few days to change to the AC or heat once it is necessary for whichever season.

I’ve been living here since the end of 2019 and am finally moving out after 2 years. I’ll start with the only positive to this place, it’s got a good location downtown. That’s it. The negatives I’ll start with the amenity areas. They love to talk about having a rooftop pool, except they keep it closed almost all year long and don’t allow anyone out there. When it is open there’s constant parties happening with college aged kids and non residents and they completely trash the entire area when they get drunk and do drugs up there. Next is the courtyard which was trashed about a month after opening. It’s now been covered in dog poop and broken glass for months now and nobody bothers to clean up after themselves. Someone even has been dumping their trash and dog poop off their balcony into the courtyard area. The typical resident here is college aged which means all they care about is themselves and partying. I was even in the courtyard playing with my dog one night while a party was happening on the roof and they started chunking bottles down into the courtyard which landed a couple feet away between me and my dog and which would’ve easily killed us if it had hit either one of us. Despite having 2 trash chutes on each floor, people still leave their trash in the hallways or service elevator area. There’s even someone on my floor who lets their dog poop in the hallway and leaves it there for someone else to clean up. The parking garage is overpriced especially for how gross it is and how insecure it is. I’ve heard of at least 2 times since moving in of people’s cars being stolen out of the parking garage, People’s bikes were getting stolen out of the parking garage, and homeless people actively make their way into the parking garage as well. The garage door is regularly broken and non residents are constantly ramming down the blocker that’s supposed to stop non residents from getting in. It’s broken what seems like at least once a week. Non residents constantly park in people’s parking spots and the building doesn’t do anything about it. Security is awful in this place. The turnover rate with security guards is constant so there’s always people who don’t know what they’re doing. They also are constantly letting in nonresidents into the building as well and I’ve even personally seen them helping nonresidents get outside to the pool. The ironic part is I see all the time security allowing nonresidents into the building with no hassle but the couple of times I’ve needed to get into the building I get hassled like crazy and jump through hoops. Despite having lived here for 2 years I’m still not on their resident list so security refuses to let me in until I speak to the leasing office to clear everything up. All of this and I still see them letting in nonresidents no problem all the time. Management has added all these extra pain in the butt security steps to get into the building, amenity areas, elevators, etc etc but they’re all easily bypassed all the time by nonresidents. Even the elevators where you need a key fob to call them are easily bypassed because people just take the stairs or wait until one comes. I’ve even seen people I know for a fact don’t live in the building park next to me and then used the stairs I’m the parking garage to get into the building bypassing literally all of the security measures put in place. This has led to a lot of safety issues in the building. I’ve witnessed drug dealers in the building with handguns hanging out of their pockets, tons of drugs being used all the time in apartments and amenity areas, I’ve seen people come into the gym with the clear intention of being there to steal something and just wait around until everyone leaves, and I’ve even woken up early morning to an incident with police happening out front which the building later clarified that someone on the 19th floor had a party and somebody was shot and killed in the stairwell. Homeless people hang out across the street all the time and will get drunk and scream all night. Being downtown it’s typically loud all the time. The fire alarms go off randomly for absolutely no reason all the time and is never fixed or addressed by management. One goes off at least once a month with the last one going off for 2 hours straight from 3 AM to 5 AM which made it impossible to sleep. The laundry area is contracted to a third party company who despite having an email and phone number listed if a problem happens, will never answer or reply. Management only tells you to contact them and refuses to help with any problems or cares that the company never answers. Half of the washers and dryers are broken at all times which makes laundry day sometimes be an all day process. Out of the other half of the washers and dryers you have at least half of the washers that just steal your money and not work which has costed me at least $30-50 in total. Half the dryers will not dry your clothes which means you have to dry them at least 2-3 times costing you even more money. You have to know from experience which washers and dryers to use to not waste money. The bugs in this place are horrible and abundant. We’ve lived in 2 different apartments and they are an issue no matter what. Easily there are a few dozen each and every night all over the kitchen area which is disgusting. No matter how many traps we put or roaches we kill there or how clean we keep the kitchen there are always a few dozen every night. The AC situation every single spring is always a huge hassle. The building refuses to turn on the AC despite the apartments being easily 80+. They only do so if outside temperatures remain a consistent 80+ degrees for like 2 weeks straight leaving the spring months as absolutely miserable and sweating all the time, especially when the AC/Heater will radiate hear constantly unless the AC is turned on. Management refuses to take any request from the residents under consideration as well. Just this past spring management had created a poll and asked the residents to fill it out on whether we want the AC on or not. The residents overwhelmingly voted for the AC to be turned on, well because of 1 cold day we had, management decided that despite us wanting the AC on they would turn the heat on. The kicker is that it takes days for the pipes to heat up or cool off which means we had no heat on the cold day and instead it started blowing heat days later on hot days. Then took another 2 weeks of it being miserably hot before the AC finally got turned on. I could honestly go on and on about how much I hate this place but It’d be way too long to read. I’m just leave it saying this, this place is so awful that I am moving out a month and a half early and will continue paying the rent here in the meantime because this place just sucks.

The luckman is the worst apartment I have ever lived in rent starts at like $1,000 and they dont even take care of the building. People steal your packages and they refuse to review the cameras. People literally leave bags of trash in the hallways and on the first floor. They dont fix anything and use the fact that they have a lot of maintenance requests instead of hiring more people. They have 3 maintenance men in a 20 story building THATS how much they dont care about their tenants. They have this stupid yappy hour thing which blows more smoke up your --- because its on the patio HOWEVER nasty tenants leave trash all over the patio and BROKEN GLASS which the apartment has left for over a month and my dog ended up stepping on and they didnt even care. So ---- this place ---- Bianca ---- these ------ --- tenants ---- those people who they let steal my package I hate this building

Security is terrible. Maintenance is terrible. The leasing office is always rude and seems to be bothered whenever I have questions or concerns. I pay for a parking spot that seems to always be taken whenever I come home from a long day at work. They say they will tow cars but never actually seem to follow through.

I spread the word about my experience in a google review back in March. I am thoroughly impressed that it has not been addressed by the last management team or the new management team. Maybe it wasnt as direct as I felt it was.

No. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The free utilities will NEVER be good enough to outweigh the cost of living in this place. -Management will not care about you and will NEVER return your calls even when they say they will. (This has happened multiple times to me and my fiancé and will happen to you) -The elevators will be broken and you will have to share 1 working elevator with a thousand other people that live here. Either use the service elevator since its faster or have fun waiting for 5 minutes! -Water will not be working about 1-2 times a month -Management is reactive not proactive when it comes to deciding when to turn on/off the A/C. Have fun roasting in an 80°+ room because management didnt bother to read the weather report for that week. -Expect fire alarms to go off about 4-6 times a month at random with NO explanation email from management why it happened or why it keeps occurring. -Maintenance will take over a month to complete even the most basic tasks like replacing blinds and lights. THEY DO NOT GIVE NOTIFICATION THEY WILL BE ARRIVING AT ALL. BE WARNED. -Are you having an issue loading money onto your laundry card? Dont worry, management knew about this issue for a week already and did not do anything to resolve the problem. What about the people that needed to do laundry? They. Dont. Care! -Ever since GreyStar bought the building we have received NO communication from them at all about anything. Expect this to continue. 1/10 Doesnt matter if this building is owned by NRP or GreyStar. You will have to call and complain after YOUR long day of work because management, apparently has to be held accountable to do their jobs just so you can live comfortably here. Beware and be warned!
