Good and Bad
The Chesterfield management ranges from okay to very good. The owners of the building are the pits. Management tries to provide a pleasant place to live, but that action gets them fired. In the 10 years I have lived here, there have been at least 30 different managers. None last long because they have to spend money to keep this old building up. The owners respond by firing the manager. There are two matainence men for a building with over 400 apartments. It is a wonderful old building with lots of character, and the neglect perpetuated by the owners is almost sinful. I really hope someone who cares buys this building. I hate to move, but the owners are making it increasingly unpleasant to live her. Avoid any property owned by Metropolitian Management out of Boston--they are awful!!

Decent Place in downtown
People who work in downtown and new in Cleveland and dont have any transportation, this place is ideal for them!! Cost wise its reasonable, good amenities... If you compare the cost and the facility - its worth!! Yes, the buidling is quite old and little under maintanance, but over all the apartments are in good conditions and so does the appliance with in... Overall I recommend this place.

I Just Moved Here a month ago...
I was pretty leary about renting at this complex because of all the reviews I read...but I was assured by the NEW staff (as I was told they had all just been replaced). Well, I signed my lease, and am so glad I did!!! Not only is The Chesterfield an amazing deal but the staff is all amazingly friendly and helpful. I have not seen any bugs...Thank God!!! The halls are always clean and so is the laundry room. I had an issue with my stove when I moved and it was taking care of before I got home the next day. I feel bad for the people who had such a crappy experience with this property because I love it here!!!

The management does not care about their tenants! Do not rent here.
I lived here for one year while a student at the nearby university. Overall I wish I never signed my lease here. First, the apartments are all infested with roaches. They would spray my apartment when I requested, but within days the roaches would return. The management really needs to spray the entire building, but because of how cheap they are they will not do so. Second, the management in the leasing office is horrible! In the year that I lived there, management changed three times! I have rented for the past 7 years and this has never happened. The staff is horrible, once you sign your lease they are unresponsive to any requests. One positive note is the maintainence staff. They were always friendly and helpful. Third, when I moved out they did not return my security deposit! After repeated calls and letters they would not return my deposit. They never sent me an explanation why they refused to return it, they simply ignored me. In my opinion this is theft and it is simply not right. When I did get a manager to speak with me she simply told me that they had just taken over management of the building and she had no information about what was going on. It is wrong to take advantage of people like this to squeeze out a few additional dollars from people.

How awful it is.
If you see this review please pay attention!!!!!!! The good reviews you see posted are by management to raise their rating. I have lived here for a number of years and it is the worst apartment in Cleveland. The Boston management company does not fix anything and the building is infested with bedbugs and roaches. Security is terrible, none in the garage which is the filtiest I've ever seen. Nobody takes phone calls in the management office and you cannot believe anything they tell you. For a 450 unit building there are 2 maintenance men on duty from 8 until 5. Then you are on your own. The building has had floods, leaks, small fires, rodents, strangers wandering in halls and is loaded with druggies and drug dealers, prostitutes and just plain trash along with students partying constantly.

Love the Location!
I have lived here for almost a year and I just renewed my lease. I love the location and my apartment is very spacious. The view is incredible! It is very quiet for downtown living. I am in walking distance to everything.

Probably the worst building downtown
I've been living here the past year, and as soon as my lease is up I am OUT. Very dissapointed with this place for alot of reasons. The building is crawling with insects, they have a major bedbug problem, and also alot of cockroaches and ants in the apartments. Every couple weeks the water shuts off for hours at a time, very inconvienent. The office staff and managment are rude and unprofessional, which you don't really appreciate after paying them so much rent every month/year. So i really dread every time I need to go to the office. Very loud noise in the hallways all hours of the day and night. Disgusting smells coming in your apartment through the vents on a regular basis. There are many other problems and complaints I could list, but overall this place is run down, nasty, and the people who run it have attitude problems and no class. Plus, they seem to be going bankrupt. If you move in here, you're sure to regret it

What's with all of the fuss?? Not bad at all.
I haven't been here long (a little over a month), but I'm enjoying this place. I did my research before I even stopped in for the first time, and because of reading some of the negative posts online about the Chesterfield, I can say I didn't know what to expect but I was a bit skeptical at first. I'm definitely glad I ignored those things and decided to check it out myself. Sure, there are some issues, but nothing that has affected me or my apartment at all. The residents and staff seem to be very friendly and helpful, and everything has been fine for me. The rent is VERY cheap in my opinion, and the building has huge potential. I enjoy the fitness center, and am looking forward to the pool opening this summer. Also, I find this building to be extremely quiet. I was amazed. The location is great. I can walk to just about anything I want to see or do. I can only go by my own short experience here, but I would recommend living here. Don't believe everything you read or hear. Check things out for yourself, and make your own decisions.

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!!! Roaches and bedbugs everywhere!
The owners of this property seem to be going bankrupt!! They are going broke because everyone is moving out due to the way this place has been let go!!! It is so hot in this building. I can't stand it. We have a boiler system that allowes for either heat or air conditioning, not both. We have heat on and no air conditioning till mid May. The fitness center is sooo hot. Nobody will allow a outside door to be open for air. You will suffer. This place is crawling with bedbugs and cockroaches. I kill roaches in my hall every other day. It does not matter how clean you are, you will be infested at some point. Roaches crawl through the halls and are in the laundry room (where machines are always broken) and in common areas. I never feel like my clothes are clean because I am afraid of using a washer or dryer after someone has washed their bedbug infested sheets in it. I am almost through my lease and I am hoping I can get out before bedbugs get into my place. They crawl from apartment to apartment through the walls and enter through tiny cracks and even electrical outlets. They are almost impossible to get rid of without major work. There are always old infested mattresses and couches setting in the service elevator areas (where you will be moving in). Be sure to keep that couch off the ground or it will be picking up eggs to bring to your new place! It is getting soo bad around here. There are a number of other things wrong with this place. Pipes burst on a regular basis, flooding numerous apartments at a time. The water is constantly shut off, and when turned on will run a muddy color. Does that sound tasty to drink? The water goes from scalding to freezing when you shower. I was told I was showering during "peak times". I guess if I had the luxury of sleeping in till noon I would have a descent water temperature. The hallways are usually wet because of leaks or backups in apartments. It smells of must because of this. The garbage is always backed up. I am not able to take my trash out for a week at a time because the compactors break down and the company will not pay to have them fixed properly. People pack garbage in the trash rooms because the chutes are overflowing. It is a breeding ground for roaches. Hot garbage sits in the garage dumpsters for days and smells horrible because they will not have it removed as often as needed. Crack heads will approach you and try to follow you into the building. There was a killing in the park across the street this past spring. It was all over the news. It was supposed to be a double murder, but thank god the one boy made it. You will not feel safe. There is a big project building right behind this place. It brings the dredges of society all hours of the day and night. I once witnessed a homeless man urinate on our front doorstep in broad daylight... The pool turns green every summer, and had to be shut down by the health department this past summer. There are a few pool chairs left; the material has deteriorated off almost all of them. There are only 3 lounge chairs left for everyone in the building to use! The showers are broken up at the pool too; there are no knobs on them anymore. There are not even toilet seats in the restrooms up there! The management will not even buy them! Check that out if you go on tour here! The picture they show in the fitness room of the pool area was taken six years ago, before MPA had a chance to ruin the place. Elevators are down for months on end. One is broken at all times. People always get stuck in them and the help buttons don t work! The fitness room has 2 treadmills that stick and jerk as you walk, a broken elliptical, and 2 broken bikes. Nobody maintains the equipment. There is dust all over the floor. I don't think it gets cleaned. I went up last week and it must have been 97 degrees up there. I called and asked for the heat to be turned down and the person at the desk said the heat can t be adjusted up there . That is funny. It has been adjusted up there in the past. It is a sweatbox. If it were maintained, it would be great. It is large and has lots of equipment. It is a shame nobody repairs anything. There are only a couple maintenance guys for a 20 story building. If you think you can get any results from the front office you are wrong! There is a revolving door on this place for a reason, management! We have had 4 new property managers, about 4 new assistant managers, and countless leasing agents turn over in 6 months! If they tell you they will do something for you, better get it done that day. They will walk out tomorrow! Same goes for upper management. The company is always changing upper management around in Boston as well. Yes, Boston. They run this place from Massachusetts and never know how bad problems really are. LIVING HERE IS A HUGE MISTAKE!! The building has great layouts and the potential for the best amenities downtown. I hope they are able to take better care of the place. It is sad to see it in this state. Do not be fooled by the larger spaces, you will pay for them in numerous other ways. Hopefully the issues will be able to be resolved. I will say that they are doing a big extermination. I hope it helps!

New Management & New Maintenance
Over the last couple years there has been some issues. However, what apartment community is perfect. The Chesterfield has been here for over 40yrs and 3 of the original residents still live here. That says a lot about a community and the people that live here. I have lived here for about 6 months so I know how the other office staff and I was just in the office today and can tell a huge difference. They gave me a certificate of guarantee of no bugs and if they are some that come up, then its not them, its me! I am OCD clean so I know that won't happen. I am looking forward to the pool being open which is going to be awesome. The fitness center is nice and its free! I did my research through and through before I came to live here. My apartment is HUGE and my rent CHEAP! Hello! Downtown Cleveland for $699 per month! AMAZING! As far as parking goes, its downtown, eiehter risk getting a ticket or just pay for parking! PAYING FOR THINGS IS APART OF LIFE! Everybody wants something for nothing these days! Annoying! I like it here and my neighbors are really nice. People that waste their time being negative have a lot more to worry about then a place to live. You hate it, MOVE! Honestly, you will love it here...I know I do!

ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES
I moved in and out in less than a month. I complained of roaches and you would have thought I insulted their best friends. Also they advertised FREE parking. THE CHESTERFIELD GARAGE is not even owned by them and the owners/operators, Central Parking, didn't honor it. I wouldn't stay even if the rent was free.

Hello there im the ghost of chesterfield i know every inch of the building ive been in areas managment dont even know about! i feel bad when i see people inquiring to move in and my first question is how did you here about this building? there indeed is a major issue with roaches and bedbugs in this building ive seen people crying there eyes out because they cant sleep at night because they are being eatin alive! i see kids with bites allover there bodys and it makes me mad! people if you have money to dump into that dump go somewhere else! the bugs are not even the worse of problems lets talk about the man that was shot and killed in the park across the street or the man that was shot and killed behind us or the bumbs that walk around begging for money so they can get a fix. the building is not secured if you can get into the garage you can gain axcess to the whole building making your way all the way too the pool area in the penthouse. on the second floor where all the empty offices are is where you will find all the roaches its terrible the managment dont care about you ive heard them at times in the office lauphing and making fun of the residents behind close doors mostly the ------- and whites one thing they said was joking how black folks dont live there because of the problems saying that whites and ------- have no common sense. for those of you that remember when indian delight was in the lobby they were removed because according to brenda the prop manager said if they dont want to offer us some free food they got to go! the pest control told me that the only way to get rid of the bug problem is to have someone there everyday spraying which would cost them a fortion but they allready owe us a fortion. the elevator that is not working will never get fixed because they owe them about 30,000 and they want that payed in fool before they even touch it. they are still trying to pay off the last security company that was in there after they were sued in court and now they owe the current company money too. maintenance they are lazy so frickin lazy they also sit around and lauph about the residents that live there check this out all employees that live in the building there apartments get sprayed for bugs three times a week they have the pest control man come trough the side doors so the residents cant see them. the lower level of the basement flooded so bad one time that the water was up to peoples floor boards when this issue was brought to managments attention they dismissed it saying oh well there loss. there was also a major issue in the building involving a tendant i can not say too which it would identify who i am but just understand that this problem was also dissmissed once again they put money before the residents safety and well being. and for you people that live there you know what im talking about. the pool is not safe the bacteria levels were worse then lake erie last year the health dept closing it down people when running a pool it must be maintained 24/7 which there maintenance do not do! lazy lazy lazy! that place is no good so if you are reading this message thinking about moving in DONT DO IT!!! it will get worse before it gets better. oh and to just add managment aint doing jack around there to make anything better when you go in the office with a complaint and they tell you they will get rite on it as soon as you walk out they lauph and say ya we will get rite on it and lauph crazy. the office managment smoke in the basement (dont worry ive allready advised the health dept)so lets do a quick review all black neighborhood drug infested area two people shot and killed killers never caught (they live in the building behind chesterfield) infested with bedbugs/roaches lazy maintenance racist managment house cleaner hides in her b/fs apartment while should be cleaning! security sleeps at the desk! elevators are always breaking down garage floods security issues allowing access to the outsiders they make yopu pay out the azz to park in there garage after you just payed 700 a month to live in that hole in conclusion dont move in here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think Carefully Before Moving Here
I am always amused when I read "good reviews" concerning this property. I have lived many more years than the poster that claims the "new management" is doing a better job, and they would not renew their lease if it was not a good place to live. I also feel sorry for the poster that is looking forward to using the "awesome" pool" during the summer...too bad it has been closed by the Health Depatment of Cleveland each of the last 3 years for bacterial contamination. In 2009 the pool was closed for almost 6 weeks. The other posts that talk about the cockroaches & bedbugs are true. There is an insect problem here. The Chesterfield had 4 building managers during 2009, that should tell you something. For more information you can E-MAIL me at: theabsolutetruth@yahoo.com I am still here because I am old & my health is poor, but I am now looking around and will be leaving here soon with the help of my family.

Great 2 Years!!!
I strongly recommend you the Chesterfield apartments.. I lived there for two years and each and every part of those years were great!!! There is a very good fitness center even the fitness center is enough for you to make a decision and move Chesterfield. Furthermore there is a rooftop pool... And the management has always treated me in a respectful and friendly manner. I had always felt home when I stepped in the apartment complex.

Ok i was at chesterfield all the way up until two weeks ago i was there for some while first off the managment are liars they let go two maintenance members claiming that they were cutting back (FALSE) they were let go because they were not qualified they had these guys work a long day and made them do the unknown then at 5:30 when it was time to punch out they take them on the second floor and into a empty nasty room and tell them that they are fired and was it bad enough they lost there jobs they told them they had 30 days to get out of there building or they would toss there belongings on the curb ( IN THE STATE OF OHIO THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! NOT ONLY WOULD YOU BE PROSUCUTED YOU WOULD BE SEWED)ok they have one elevator that does not work not because they cant fix it because they owe that company so much money that they will not repair it until payment has been made. the garage flooded so bad that water was up to peoples floor boards on there cars. lets talk about access to the building residents have swipe cards to get in and out WHY??? all you have to do is get in the garage and your in there you can gain access to the service elevator and go to any floor and no one would know the diffrence. the garage tendants are not watching out for your property they sit in there office and watch movies they sleep. not to mention they charge you out the azz to park there. everyone has there own impinion about the building personaly i would not live there and i always thought to my self why do these people put up with this? there is a reason i live in a nice single family home why dont these people that make good money quit pooring there money into that dump and buy a house? ive talked to pest control mpa owes them so much money its crazy and there is another contracted company there they owe money too they only make a payment when thretning to end services. the managment do not care there was illegal activity going on in the building and they knew about it and dismissed it looking out for the criminals best intrest. the residents liked me all of them ALL OF THEM!!!! ok in ending you live in cleveland its not getting better its only going to get worse from this point on the crime is rising around that building bugs or not the crime is getting worse come on people would you live in oathwate? longwood? garden valley? then why are you living in chesterfield??????

Can't Believe Everything You Read
I have lived here for 15 years and do not think it is fair what is being said. Management has turned over and its going back on the path to being the greatest downtown community in Cleveland. Yes their have been some issues and they have addressed every concern I have had. Don't believe everything you read, if it was as bad as they say then why would I continue to renew my lease.

I HAPPEN TO KNOW THE BUILDING REALLY WELL AND IM HERE TO LET YOU IN ON THE TRUTH. FIRST OF ALL THE BUILDING MANAGMENT ARE RACIST IVE HEARD THEM ON ACCASIONS MAKING COMMENTS ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE. THE ASST PROPERTY MANAGER COMES IN ON THE WEEKENDS AND SLEEPS THE WHOLE TIME. THERE IS BED BUGS IN THAT BUILDING AND ROACHES LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT IN YOUR APARTMENT NOW IT WILL BE A MATTER OF TIME. IN THE BASEMENT THE ROOMS STING TO HIGH HEAVEN BECAUSE THE RESIDENTS PISS ON THE FLOOR. THEY WORK OUT THEN GO DOWN STEERS AND SIT ON THE FURNITURE. IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM THEES ARE ROACHES CRAWLING YOU CANT SEE THEM BECAUSE THE LIGHTS ARE ON. INSIDE THE LOBBY THE CHINNESE RESTRAUNT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN AS OF RITE NOW THE BUILDING HAS 50% OCCUPANTS THE LOCATION SUCKS YOU CANT WALK OUTSIDE WITHOUT A BUMB BEGGING FOR HAND OUTS BEHIND CHESTERFIELD A MAN WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD AND KILLED A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO TWO MEN DIED IN THE PARK WHICH ONE DIED. I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE RECOMEND ANYONE TO LIVE THERE AND I PITTY THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE ALREADY THE PLACE IS NOT SECURE ANYONE CAN WALK IN FROM THE GARAGE AND SNEEK UP THE BACK AND HAVE AXCESS TO THE BUILDING. THE PLACE SUCKS IT SMELLS THERES BUGS AND WHEN IT GETS HOT OUTSIDE THEY WILL GET WORSE. AND FAR AS THE POOL SPEAR ME THE WATERS GREEN RESIDENTS USE THE BATHROON IN THE WATER IT NEVER GETS CLEANED. DONT LET ME GET STARTED ON THE MAINTENANCE THEY ARE LAZY THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE IN THIS FIELD

LOVE IT HERE!
I just moved here from Georgia and I can't stop talking about! Im SOOOO ready for summer because they have a HUGE rooftop pool! I was a little worried with the comments i saw on here but the new management team has done wonders! I have lived here for 3 months now and have no seen one bug! Mgmt has pushed pest control which you get every month but also when you ask for it. I love the ladies at the front desk they are so nice and welcoming! The parking is great and its heated (not a big fan of the cold). The rent is perfectly priced for those who are simple, want a nice clean place, in the central downtown. I love the fitness center and even though the machines a little out dated they all work fine. This is the perfect place for those who want a really nice place to leave but can't afford the SUPER ritzy price.

Truly Hell on Earth and Management is unprofessional...
You are here because you are planning to lease apt. and if so you are going to the biggest mistake of your life. I do not have time to write a lot but if you move here , you would never be happy. I am here and stuck , they do not allow me to terminate my lease or not ready to fix my problem. I did my best sent emails to corporate including CEO but nobody is there to help. once you sign the lease and you trapped for that period. Pros in apartment and building you just name it. it has all the problem you know of and many more than you expect. Just consider this piece of advice and i believe this the best way to teach them lesson or to make them run out of business.

Horrible management
It is horrible to stay here and the worst part comes after you leave the apartment ( after lease), it has been 3 months I vacated the apt and they have not done final settlement. They are holding something $350 with them without paying me. Even repeated inquiry about it went in vain. I need help from someone on how to get that money back.

Negative Nances
I am married college student and I live here with my wife. When we first moved in here we were truly disgusted. The first week of walking through the parking garage to the lobby and smelling the steaming garbage (it was summer) was almost unbearable. Then, there was an elevator that was broken for a good 6 months which was really frustrating. This place is what you make of it. The smell has gone away or I've adapted to it. The elevators break down on occaision, but all high rises have that problem, and our elevators are pretty fast. There is a nice quiet balcony to go to on the second floor (although the smell in the 2nd floor is still unbearable to me) and its a good place to go to be outside if you don't want to go up to the pool deck. The pool is actually very clean as I am a lifeguard and I've seen some dirty pools. I've also seen the guys in their underwear or jeans playing in the pool, but that's just a culture shock. A lot of the people, probably 80% are foreign, but very very nice. The water issue is the same everywhere. And for people saying it happens all the time is just false. It happens maybe once a month the water might be down for 8 hours while they make repairs. The worst was two years ago when the water was off for two days. That just gave us an excuse to try some wonderful area restaurants. We walked over to Teresa's Pizza which rocks btw. The security is 10x better than the Reserve Square. We have a friend over there and we visit a lot and their security is twice as beefy with no view. One person complained that there was a double murder in the park. That park sits in plain view of Reserve Square, not the Chesterfield, and they were the last ones there. The bar attached is a trouble spot because I look out every once in a while and see cops making the arrest. The maintenance crew is great. I've read your horror stories, but have you ever talked to them like peopple? We have only had to call them up once to fix our nonworking garbage disposal and it took 2 days, but they were in and out. The management could hire a few more to clean up the garbage shutes and the service elevator areas and restoring the trashed apartments to free these guys up, but these guys have a lot on their plate and work loooong days. The location is what you pay for. It is downtown living at its average. Statler is a bit pricier, but from what I've heard they have the same problems and talk about switching buildings. You are down the street from CSU, Playhouse Square, a ton of restuarants, Progressive Field, The Q. One negative location is if you are on the west end, 6am everymorning, as one poster admitted there is a garbage truck and it is pretty loud. I felt duped the first couple of weeks. We thought about rearranging the apartment to sleep in another room, but the novelty wore off and we sleep through it now, but is an awesome alarm clock when you need it! The view on my floor of downtown is amazing and I leave my blinds up most of the time so I can enjoy it. Some of the services are very underfunded. I believe they could revamp or repair a lot of their gym, they can hire a few more maintenance people. And security is often scarce through the private contractor that provides the night guards. During the day, its just a glorified secretary. Bed bugs is an issue that comes from a few people moving from really poor areas bringing their bed bugs. They don't crawl through walls and pick random apartments. I've never had any bugs. I've never seen a cockroach while living here, and I've seen some pretty vile conditions. The laundry room is great. I do my laundry in one swoop. Wheels on laundry baskets are the answer. I just go during nonbusy times and there are plenty of machines. The vending machines won't dispense the tropical skittles, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker. It seems to me that the only people who post here are people with horrible experiences. I'm not one of the staff members or the leasing office. I'm just trying to balance some of the giant rumors. I love my neighbors, though they change a lot. The maintenance men are ridiculously nice, though stretched too thin. The security has never been a problem. I've never lost a package. I don't have to drive every time I go out. I don't have bed bugs. The smell is unnoticeable now. And that double shooting was a drug-deal gone bad... not random violence and could happen anywhere. If you do move here, stay away from E13th street as much as possible. Those apartments are sketchy and the cops regularly have to patrol that street. Almost every 5 minutes like clockwork. Paint your apartment. Its unnecessary work and you have to cover it when you leave with white primer, but it really adds to the apartment being a home. Everything else that happens that is inconvenient one day probably should be gone the next. If you have a small dog, let them know before you move in. The leasing office will likely bend, especially if they are paper trained and not peeing everywhere. If they give you a problem, one of the managers has miniature dauchsaund (sp). They might say that people were grandfathered in, but I sure wasn't, but we don't cause any problems and haven't destroyed anything yet. Parking: I feel the need to address the parking even though the parking company is separate from the chesterfield management wise. A different company runs parking. My favorite attendant retired. They understand that some of us have no choice and have been known to change the rates. This hike is mandatory and has happened twice. There is no "well I'll just have to find somewhere else to park." But that might be everywhere as well. There is the unbiased I-still-live-here report that you need to read.

Don't invest for getting into hell
To simply put, the place is not worth spending your money. Nearby apartments may be bit higher priced, but I have heard that they have better management and maintenance services. I have lived here for two years and regret extending my lease for the second year. As others have pointed out, the garage really stinks very bad. The Gym is not properly kept. Number of treadmills are left unrepaired. Heating and cooling is a chaos. You might feel like working out in Utah desert in summer. Maintenance people will not arrive till you get frustrated of calling them again and again. Keep a track of your packages, they might get lost from the mail-room. Even after that, there are still chances of loosing it. On personal front, my apartment bathroom ceiling got broken due to a water leak from top floors. It was not repaired for more than a year and it still remains unrepaired. The dishwasher never worked properly. Even after repeated complaints, it was not replaced. Blinds were broken from the first day of moving in, maintenance did not bother to replace them. Refrigerator got broke, it was replaced with an old and noisier one. Complained about the noise of this refrigerator, again ended up on deaf ears. This replacement fridge also gave up after few months. again another old refrigerator. Waiting for this to give up soon. Only one good thing happened recently. They got rid of previous property manager. She was the rudest and laziest manager you can meet in this world. She will assure you that the work will be done soon though it depends on the wishes of maintenance staff. In short consider other places if you want to live in humanly environment.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!
NO MATTER WHAT...DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! THIS IS NOT A JOKE!! I just moved out. Greatest day ever. Moved across the street to Statler Arms. Not the greatest place in the world but a million times better than the Chesterfield. Here's the problems..and they're are not things you just DEAL WITH and I AM NOT BEING PICKY!!!! 1. BED BUGS!! This is no joke. You will not sleep at night and when you actually get out of bed in the morning you will have bites all over yourself. The building can't do anything to fix this. They sprayed my place three times and it did nothing. I had to replace my mattress, box springs, pillows, comforter, etc....VERY EXPENSIVE!!! This problem is not just for dirty people either. I am border line OCD with my cleaning and it didn't matter. 2. The elevators are always broken. Even the ones that work are being abused by residents. Apparently they think it is a dorm. Residents get on at the 3rd floor ride it to the 5th floor and then sit and hold the door open and talk to their friends who are still on the elevator. This is a regular occurence. 3. The garbage!!!! The building...esp downstairs/lobby area stinks of garbage. And I mean it REALLY STINKS!!! I literally almost puke in my mouth a bit every day I would walk through the lobby to my car. Also, residents seem to think it is ok to throw garbage anywhere. I found 8 pizza boxes stacked in the storage elevator room with roaches, fruit flyes, etc all over it. It stayed there for 3 days until I begged management to clean it up. Also, people throw out old furniture INFESTED WITH BED BUGS in common areas!!! 4. Sporadic and unannounced turn off of heat and water!! I was home with the flu one day in February and all of a sudden the HEAT AND WATER WERE SHUT OFF IN FEBRUARY!! So imagine, puking and going to the bathrooom in a toilet that won't flush!! And your sick with the flu in FEBRUARY WITH NO HEAT!!!!!! This happens ALL THE TIME!!! 5. Management controls when heat and A/C are turned on and off!! I believe they turned the A/C on the beginning of June this year. Keep in mind that it was in the 80's most of May!!! Opening the windows does not help!! Plus windows have no screens....so go ahead and open them for air and your place is filled with bugs!! 6. THE FAMOUS CHESTERFIELD POOL!!!! DISGUSTING!!! I'VE SEEN SEVERAL YOUNG MEN...MEN!!..SWIMMING IN THEIR UNDERWEAR!! The water is disgusting, and there are no decent lounge chairs to use if you go up there. All are broke!! 7. Noise. If you happen to live in a unit facing 12th Street good luck!! It is sooooooooo noisy. Expect a garbage truck EVERY MORNING AT AROUND 6am!! Hope you don't like to sleep in!!!! 8. Nothing works. The laundry room is a joke. Usually 1/3 of all machines are broken. Never hot water in any of them. Always gross..never cleaned. Hair and crap everywhere. Also, tennis courts and that other stuff...YEAH RIGHT!!!!! I could go on forever. The bottom line is DO NOT LIVE HERE NO MATTER WHAT YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!!!!
