Our experience has varied over time. Previous management did not handle requests in a timely manor and allowed portions of the property to decay. Our apartment is a "newly renovated" unit however the previous building management did a poor job performing those renovations with many things left half finished.

It is a nice place to live. Close to lots of shopping (mall and other), public transportation and downtown. The community is quiet and safe and the maintenance and management are always responsive to all requests.

Bad Maintenance

no proper staff come in to help for the maintenance requests. They are just commercial . They just increase rent exponentially but very bad at maintaining the apartments like toilet issue , laundry issue and blinds or kitchen

Zero/No Maintenance from last one year

They have no maintenance team, bunch of guys sitting in office who tells we don't have maintenance team from last one year. They are polishing the appartments from outside, so people coming from outside rent it and then the real deal starts when they are in, as there is zero maintenance, and no one cares in office. STAY AWAY!

I have been a tenant at The View North Hills (previously known as The Woodhawk Club) for over 5 years. Before the new management came, I have had zero problems and loved living here. Since the new management came this place has become a nightmare. Safety has become a real issue when we had thousands of dollars robbed from us from an EMPLOYEE at The View. This person accessed all of our information and WE had to get the police involved and get everything figured out. The management did not show any empathy nor were they apologetic in any way. We let that slide, until my fiancé went outside to go to work only to find his car was towed from the parking lot from a legal space. I could go on forever detailing the things wrong inside the apartment. The biggest being the air conditioner not working in the 90 degree heat we have been having. Someone came to look at it and never returned (at this time as STILL do not have air conditioning). We have not had a working garbage disposal in over 6 months and when I put in a request for maintenance they lied several times notifying me that it was fixed yet no one even came or called to even look at it. The toilet does not work properly. Of course our rent was increased though, but for what? Nothing works! Also not to mention the amenities in the community (such as the pool) are not available. Save your money and run from this place. They do not make their tenants a priority. It may look nice from the outside but trust me when I tell you that you will not matter here and be severely disappointed. I can not wait to get the hell out of this hell hole.

Don’t waste your time

If you’re considering living here, im begging you… PLEASE consider living literally anywhere else. They will lease you an apartment, and two weeks before your move in date, tell you that your unit will not be available for 2+ months due to renovations. They will not tell you that the apartment they’re entering into a contract with you on is not suitable for human habitation. They will offer you NO solution. You will be out of luck. You will have nowhere to live. They will NOT help you find other living accommodations. This is the most grossly unprofessional organization I have ever had the misfortune of being involved with. Im sure in the reply below, someone from management is going to copy and paste a canned response saying “we’re sorry you had a bad experience. Please call us at your earliest convenience”. They do not answer emails. They do not answer the phone. PLEASE do yourself a favor and rent with anyone else. Your life will be better for it.

Hi , The new management response on maintenance request is very bad. I created 3 maintenance request so far from Sep 30 . Its 4 months now; but those are not taken care yet. Very pathetic situation. Management changed recently, previous management taken care all maintenance request timely.

This used to be a really nice place to live but it is no longer being maintained and management is completely incompetent. For roughy two months, the tenant above me had a toilet leak that was coming into my bathroom. Not into the walls, in my actual bathroom. Actual waste. After a month of failed attempts, they finally stopped the leak but I still have a giant moldy hole in my ceiling. When I asked about the repair of the ceiling and mold removal, the manager told me to do it myself because I know how to do drywall. The response was completely unacceptable and incredibly rude. The manager then began to loudly argue with me in front of my young daughter. She literally cried because she was worried a fight may break out. Over the past couple of weeks, the property has sold and no one has returned any of my calls about repairs, promised rent credits, and now they have raised my rent. With all of the mounting issues I and many others have had, how can you raise rent on everyone?! This beautiful property is quickly turning into a complete slum. I have emailed, left many voicemails and physically stopped at the office many times to try to get these items addressed. I am now asking for the tenth time that someone from the new ownership group contact me to address the slew of issues I have. Jesse unit#2431

Absolutely awful! Maintenance never fixes anything. Apartment always floods. They don’t fix any of the amenities. Basketball court is the same as the tennis court, which doesn’t even have tennis nets. The fence is completely fallen over at the court. Constant leaks in the ceilings.

When you move in remember you will never get your deposit back(400$). They will tell you small small thing and will keep that money. When you talk to Alex(not at all friendly), he will talk to you like a slave and you can never explain him anything as he predetermined to keep that money.

I did a self tour of a model. Walking to the building it didn't look good and didn't get better inside mold smell,. The walls and rugs were dirty on every floor (hallways). Looked as though there was a water issue. The model was dirty a roach in the sink nothing clean and doors missing, leaking water. The caulk was falling apart everywhere. molding falling of the floor. As I was leaving there was a broken window glass missing (stairway) and looks like it was broken for a while. You really should have a model looking perfect for viewing. The outside had green mold on most buildings. They have garages but most looked broken and / or missing doors. I'm guessing the maintenance is not really done. For the price point this was REALLY BAD and would advise anyone looking at their apartments to look around, maybe they will spend some of the rent money collected to paint, clean and fix their community. When I gave the keys back i said thanks and the person didn't ask if I liked the place or not. Another hint of how they don't care.

Very disappointed the way I was treated trying to recover my deposit. Wasn't given any paperwork to review and waited a week for paperwork but never got any in the mail or Email. I changed my mind after a few days and only then was told I had 72 hr to request in writing my deposit return... needless to say I am pursuing deposit recovery by legal means. Sorry to say its the Worst community ever. The Staff is not at all professional. They are so rude and Racist. Had a very very bad experience with the guy called ----. Who keeps changing his statements. Also the maintenance is very poor. There is a leakage in my appartment since 3 months and i have complained repeatedly but there is no response from the team and everytime i ask them to visit and check they say we don't have time. Pls do not consider this community coz its very bad!

Any of the weather sealing is not working. You will feel the cool breeze hitting you 24/7. Someone visited us to answer the maintenance call and surprised to hear his solution. "Cover patio sliding door with blanket." and got the maintenance request closed. Hasn't he heard of weather sealing ever?!!! Never rent a house without carpet. In my apartment, Wooden floors are not sealed properly; because of which it is unbearable to walk barefoot on floor. Heating temperature set to 80 and running for more than 36 hours now but room temperature is still 43. Surprised to see the negligence on the maintenance request. Praying God. Hope my prayers got answered and spring come soon!

It is very peaceful here. You would never know that you live literally less than 10 miles from the city let alone a quarter-mile from McKnight road. Unfortunately, the owner does not capitalize on the gold mine here. Now that the driveway has been paved, The frustration level has diminished immensely. It's not for everybody, however it is safe and peaceful. I feel that at least the management staff has done a great job keeping the riffraff out of here.

Don't let the pictures for you. This place is a piece of ----. My fiancé and I moved here a few months ago as a last minute decision due to a new job. Our first day here we found toenails on our floor, our "New" stove was DEFINITELY not new. It has this grime that's impossible to scrub off. The shower head leaks, our thermometer was broken, the toilet wobbles so it's not even nailed in the right way, our windows aren't sealed so it gets absolutely freezing. People leave their nasty trash bags and shoes in the hallway like animals. The staff really does ignore you here, it's been two months and maintence still hasn't tried to come and fix anything. Not to mention, THREE different packages were not delivered to me when the post office clearly proved they were scanned and dropped off to my apartment. Walls are paper thin. It's a great location because it's close to stores, etc but that's about it. Don't waste your money here. This will be a long year for us.

This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. First we had issues with the air conditioner not once but 3 times. They finally fixed it. Ok not too bad right?! The maintenance man came to fix stuff that we noticed when we first moved in. He came in on a thursday said he was going to get supplies.... NEVER CAME BACK. That was about a month ago. Didnt realize supplies had to be picked up in China. The pool was great except for the times the door was just randomly locked in the middle of the afternoon and you look like an idiot for trying to open it when other people are in there just staring at you. People drive through the parking lot at high rates of speed smashing other cars or pass you going up and down the hill which I may add is one lane. Sweet huh?! If your looking to strike up a conversation with any of your neighbors and you can read this good luck! After listening to what I tell myself were chipmunks in the ceiling we finally got neighbors above us. Its 1145 pm as I am typing this, theyre moving furniture, their babies running around crying, and they must all weigh 600lbs or at least it sounds like it... Hope you dont drive a lexus either because you have to put your trash in it to drive to the 1 dumpster down the road. Cant wait til this lease is up :( If your looking for cheap this is it and this is why!

we moved here sometime back and preferred ground floor as i have a 1 year old kid. But there r lot of mice that keeps coming in through store room, kitchen, etc. Mice have made holes behind the fridge, behind the oven, behind the heater and they r everywhere. I have complained to maintenance dept several times, but this is not helping, the medicine they put keep the mice away only for few hours and then they are back again. Everytime maintenance team will give us a sticky patch to catch the mouse, but its really yucky to see them stuck and WE have to throw them out every other day. As soon as we r out of kitchen, mice start running all over our food stuff, utensils, everything,,,,, Due to which my Son got severe rashes and allergies. i cannot keep looking everywhere all the time for mice when i know my 1 year old can take anything in his mouth. Really frustrating this issue is.
