Do not move here...the apartments are no longer the beautiful complex I first moved into 3 years ago, in fact for the past year they have become pretty nasty, the premises are often unkeep, the pool is filthy with green mold and cloudy water, just a few months ago they started to paint the apartments, the paint crew they hired is a joke, they are lazy and slow not to mention the trash they leave behind, large dumpsters and porta potties have been placed on the grounds, I know that part is temporay but not what Im paying high dollar for, I do not have company over anymore, its an embarrassment to live here for the amount of money I pay, and the rate just keeps incresing year after year as much as 30%, not sure what has happened here but its a complete mess. Look around first you will find a much nicer complex to move into for much cheaper rates and a more professinal staff that actually care about their residents and not make excuses for the dump it has become. Also really cold in the winter and super hot in the summer, poor insulation.

I would not live here...
I would not live here again. High rent for cheap finishes in the apartment, poor management, lazy maintenance and the worst most confusing online bill pay system in the world. The apartment is not energy efficient at all. Heat and cool goes in and out through the windows and doors so watch your utility bills. Apartments flood when it rains. We have had our master bedroom flooded twice and they won't provide a permanent fix for the problem. We have had ants in our master bath shower for a month and the issue has not been resolved. We can't wait to get out of here!

I loved the friendly...
I loved the friendly attendant, I love the fact that its a gated community and its what I was looking for. "Why did you decide to lease here?" First of all, its just lovely. The final decision was made when I knew how close it was to my work and my ability to get anywhere i needed to be.

I will start by saying that this community has a great location, but that's about as far as the good goes. I was a resident for about 8 months, basically the entire time I was there, non-stop construction was going on. Not only was construction annoying, the complex was constantly raising the rent on anyone who had a lease that was expiring. I was lucky to have not needed more time on my lease terms, from what I understand, the increases were about 40%. The gate is also an issue, this "luxury complex" does not provide remote entry so there is constantly a back-up of cars trying to get in with no key card which makes it nearly impossible for the residents to open the gate without walking up to the card swipe machine to let these backed up cars in. Another "luxury" feature that I always wondered about was the microwave did not come with a turn table, really Camden... no turn table in the microwave of a "luxury apartment"?? Gaines Ranch also offers a valet garbage service, or so they call it that. This service makes you basically groom your trash bags or they will not be picked up. They will only pick up bags that are tied, no boxes, no grocery bags, no bags with items sticking out of the top, no anything unless it is a tied up garbage bag. I once even offered to carry some boxes to the guys truck and he refused. The funny part is that he would take the time to write warnings to people about this when it would have been much faster to just take the items, after all we pay for the service, it is NOT FREE. Upon moving out is where things got pretty nasty, I was not only charged for the early termination fee, cleaning fee, and stripped of any $$ promotions I had been given during move in, but I was also charged for carpet that was not at all in need of replacement. In fact they did not even try to clean the carpet, they just assumed the carpet that was less than 1 year old had no life left in it. I presume this was because it comes at my expense and not Camdens. I told them that I would not have a problem with this except for they did not try to clean it, nothing was ever spilled on the carpet, no pets ever urinated or anything else on the carpet, only normal traffic for 8 months and WALAAA... I get my final bill and who would have thought Camden needs new carpet on my dime... I have lived in many complexes in my life and have had carpet that was in much worse condition with no charges for "carpet replacement" I also had a slight problem with the online bill pay system, for some reason my payment was not processed, and by the time I noticed, I had several late fees stacking up. Thankfully, I had actually discussed this payment beforehand with a staff member who vouched for me and got the fees removed. This was actually a gratifying moment due to the fact that certain other staff members would not listen to my explanation and just wanted me to pay the full amount. Don't leave any keys in the gym or laundry facility either, that's a $45 fine even if your key is returned to the office as lost-and-found, you will not get it back without paying $45. Same with the pool wrist-bands, the little rubber bracelets are worth their weight in gold.... I hope this review will let lease prospects know the truth about how you will be treated when you choose to move into this "luxury community".

Great location, nice...
Great location, nice ****pool. Wished the trail was more manicured and the pool cleaned more often. A business center would be a nice addition for an amenity. The quality does not match the price per month for sure. But because of the location is why rent is so high.

The staff is all polite...
The staff is all polite and nice, but being here is like living on a construction site. It's constant with the upgrades and renovation. For months and months, every apartment around us has been being renovated and they seem to be very slow about it so every day there are crews full of people running around with power tools making noise and taking up all of the parking lot. Parking was was okay when we moved in, but they moved these huge storage containers in to house all of the excess building supplies and tools they need and no only does it look trashy but it's taking up a bunch of needed parking spaces. I work nights a lot and it's hard to get any sleep here in the day with the work crews and their tools around here. I just got a call to let me know that they're going to be working on the roof all day so they need to come into my apartment. I worked all night out of town last night and I don't feel like its worth going to be because as soon as I fall asleep they're going to come in here and start banging around in my attic...and they didn't bother and let me know until today. When we moved in they made a big deal during the tour about how the walls are thick here and built to condo spec so they have very little noise complaints. A week later all my neighbors told me my TV was too loud and now I'm listening to construction workers all day. I'm moving out of here in a week and it can't come fast enough. I probably wouldn't have bothered leaving a review but they're relentless sending stupid emails all the time asking me to so here it is. I gave maintenance one star, not because they don't fix stuff, but because they're constantly doing stuff everywhere.

This is an amazing place...
This is an amazing place to live. The staff is exceptional, they do amazing things to make this a safe and great community to live at. Starting with knowing you as not just as apt number but an important person. They are very positive with coments and concerns. It's so nice when they do things like, a flower and cup of coffee at the gate on Valentines day. Tacos and coffee or even wine tasting. It is also nice to get an e-mail asking if there is anything that we need. This and anything else is always done with a smile. Having the green belt behind us is beautiful and the grounds and pool area are always matained. Great neighbors. What else can I say but that I think it is a great place to live. I do have a hard time understanding the rate increase when it is time for renewal. Would think that having such a high turn over of rate of people moving in and out would cost them more money than keeping good tenants.

The location is central...
The location is central to all of my needs. The area is beautiful and I love living among the trees. Some of the areas have ample parking; other areas are very crowded and hard to find a space near by at night.

I just resigned a 13...
I just resigned a 13 moths lease. this will be my fourth year here. I like the community a lot. The front office seems to change quite a bit, but the staff are always very courteous and helpful. The rent increase was way too much a year ago though.

The grounds are very...
The grounds are very nice. I miss walking around the parks and greenbelt nearby. But, otherwise, its very expensive for what you get and the location is far enough away that you will not be able to walk or ride a bike to anything nearby.

Up until I renewed my...
Up until I renewed my lease at Camden, I was very happy. However, having a 40% increase, forcing me to move to a new apartment (while I did stay with in the complex for an increased rate from what I was already paying) was not very appeasing. I cannot say that renewal at this place is a good idea, as they feel the need to up the rent by 40%. The day that my job offers me a 40% pay increase will be the day that this is not an issue. Other than this, the staff is very friendly, and I really like the complex, however I have not been very happy in my new apartment at Camden.

Good location to downton...
Good location to downton with access to Mopac and 290. Amenities are pretty good and gated as well. Staff is friendly and midful of my requests. Maintenance/service happens pretty quick upon service call and the rent is comparable to location.

This is a great place...
This is a great place to live -- quiet and well-kept with helpful office and maintenance staff. The rental increase on renewal seemed a little high, but we chose to stay to avoid the inconvenience of moving.
