This community is fine, the location is handy for shopping and getting around but it's out of the way enough to enjoy some privacy. The on-site management is professional and responsive, the rents are comparable to other apts. in the area.

It's got some inconsistencies, but overall very pleased as a new Austin resident to have chosen this complex. Very large dog park, and the location to Austin is great without having the city issues (such as homelessness). It's tucked into a great location off the 35 and Congress/Stassney. Enough so that it's not audible most of the time but close enough where it takes no time to access them which is hard to find in this area. So far out of the 5 work orders I've placed they have been very responsive, but have yet to correct big problems (pro and con in the same sentence). Would have picked this location even after the fact.

Overall I had a very informative tour, David was more than helpful with educating me in the process and giving me a variety of options to fit my needs. It's in a prime location yet very quiet, I will definitely lease here.

It is a community where you can breathe harmony and a lot of tranquility. The neighbors are friendly as is the office staff who is always willing to help. I feel very good since I live in this apartment!!

I've been looking at other apartment complexes within South Austin and there are numerous complexes within a similar price point to The Retreat at North Bluff that are more upgraded/have been recently. The kitchens could do with some renovations ( new cabinets, appliances, flooring and countertops) and the same thing with the bathrooms. For my specific apartment I don't even have handles on the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen.

I am very happy with my experience in this community because it is close to everything.Quite central and above all very quiet.The bus stop is very close to the community.Is it central to go north or south?I love this place

Quality of rental space is great, and complex staff respond to any concerns or matters promptly. Pricing is competitive for other properties in the area so long as it stays similar I would recommend living at Retreat at North Bluff.

Community has been very nice, generally very quiet. Grounds are pretty well-kept. Rooms themselves and facilities are good value. Management seems to be struggling to maintain some basic infrastructure in regards to repairs and communication with residents, although they are doing markedly better than the previous management.

For the past 4 and a half years that we've lived here we have felt very happy and content. The tenants around here are very friendly and polite. We really like it here I would highly recommend my friends and family about moving here.

I like them. They are very quiet and accessible to everything. It's school. Tramsporte. I work. The people in the office are very friendly. They are always there to help you. Very clean. They make you feel like family. I recommend them

Nothing special to say here, there are no problems out of the ordinary, Staff is super friendly and problem solvers. Maintenance is knowledgable and quick. No complaints from my end. There are homeless folks in the area and the property never has issues with them.

Thus far, the community is nice and quiet. I haven't had any real issues here yet. The maintenance team has taken care of my microwave that was broken, but I'm still waiting for my ice machine to be fixed.

Very nice community to live in. Renewed my lease three times now and don't regret it one bit. Nice and quiet community with prompt response to service requests by the maintenance crew. Parking can be a bit difficult at times but nothing too bad

I do not recommend anyone rent at Retreat at North Bluff (or any Tipton property) unless you are okay with your maintenance requests being closed/cancelled by property management without being completed. Very unprofessional.

Pros: not far from downtown Austin, quiet community overall, plenty of celebrations of holidays and events / community get togethers Cons: Parking, when I first lived here the tenant below us owned 6-11 cars at any given time and took up almost all the parking around our unit with them. Plenty of compact parking no one can use because this is Texas, not Los Angeles or New York City. Most people drive full size cars, SUVs, trucks, etc. Lights are out in almost all the breezeways in my building, especially on the second floor. Pitch black at night besides the exit sign, and the breezeways haven't been pressure washed since Obama was president more than likely. Bugs. Our tenants below us were not the best - and being Texas I expect an OCCASIONAL cockroach - but ever since the tenants below us moved out I have to spray constantly for them. This still does nothing to alleviate it though, in fact they've migrated to only being in the kitchen to the bathroom and probably all the cracks between. It's tiring and nasty, especially considering my partner and I are extremely clean people and we cannot get rid of them. Pretty sure pest control is an addendum in the lease and something we pay for, but no one seems to be controlling them Maintenance. My A/C went out back in February and took about 2 weeks to be fixed. Being February I can excuse that a little more, but it is out again now. And with June in Texas that is NOT fun. The only reason I got this survey is because the service request was incorrectly marked as completed. Thank god for the surveys, not sure who sees them but the office is quick to take action when they're filled out. So fill out your survey folks! Gates. The front gates are always broken, but what's new there. Every complex's gate is broken so I'm not going to dwell on it.

I have gone through 3 different management companies while living here. It has only ever gone down hill the last few years. I love my neighbors, which was the main reason I have stayed as long as I have. But now I don't feel safe in the complex. Too many break-ins. Catalytic converters stolen. The dog park is ignored, so the residents have to take care of it. It's nothing but dirt now, with the fences about to fall.It took them 4 months to remove the trees that fell on the chain fence across a walkway. It was a hazard. The trees are gone, but the fence is still messed up.

Great community is safe for my kids and myself. Very close and central location to go anywhere.Really quiet at night? The dog park is perfect?.. maintenance always are on top on what you need, Ernesto and Harry are going beyond on my service request every time.

Good place to live closer to work and shopping and it is the first apartment I had rented sunce Thirty one years ago and this community is all new and different which I'm learning more about it...ok what else do ya want me say, i already said enough and thank you

Nice and quiet community! Property is kept clean and management/office staff is nice. Apartments are in good condition and rarely have issues with the unit. Decent patio space! Pool is kept clean, and there is a pretty large dog park on-site!

The community is like a diamond in the rough! I love this place! The dog park could really use some help but at least they have the space! I am disabled and on a walker and love to walk my dog and the way the sidewalk is just right for me and my dog to walk on! They have get togethers too! Many of the people have lived here for a very long time! That says something about the place!

It seems nice on the surface, but don't move here, seriously. The gates barely work and they don't even actually close them "after office hours" most of the time. The pedestrian gate code hasn't been changed for years (super unsafe). There is a lot of crime here! Car breakins, catalytic converter thefts, stalking, abs just an overall sense of having to constantly watch your back. There are also people who fed stray cats and will blatantly put the bowls all over the property and the cats destroy your things on your patios and crawl all over your car. Good luck if you're allergic! Management says they've talked to them, but they are still doing it, so?.. It takes FOREVER to get a simple maintenance request done and good luck getting any notification they will be coming, they'll just walk into your unit barely knocking. The office staff is nice, we understand they are trying hard, this is not about them at all. This is about Tipton management company not actually helping improve their property and leaving the office staff to take the blame. The people are somewhat nice, but doors slam all the time and you'll hear/feel it even if you're not connected to them. The walls are okay, but you can still definitely hear your neighbor, especially upstairs neighbors. If you're downstairs, you can hear anytime your upstairs neighbor and the neighbor you share a wall with flush, so that's fun. Haven't really had bugs, but they do come every now and then. Tipton really needs you do better and help this community and support their staff. Last thing, Gus the corporate manager (not office staff) is a complete -------, mysogenist, and condescending person who doesn't listen to the resident asking for help and talks over them and explains "how things work" if you're a woman. A VERY troubling thing he once said to me was "we can enter your unit whenever we want, we don't need to give any notice". That's super great to tell a woman who lives alone, it's also against the law Gus to enter a unit without giving 24-48 hours notice. That guy really needs to be fired not only for how he treats residents, but also the terrible way he treats the office staff.
