This is a very quiet community, everyone I've met thus far has been friendly. Location is perfect for shopping around and convenient as it is near a lot of Austin's attractions. Leasing office was very friendly and welcoming (you do not get that treatment everywhere). Very affordable place.

My experience at this community started out great. Since the transition of the Tipton group taking over, I've never had a worse experience. They are extremely difficult to work with and provide no upside of extending/renewing my lease.

June of 2022: After a 2.5 hour drive, I showed up to move in and was told by old management that I had to wait a day or put all of my belongings in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom so that the carpet in the bedroom and closet could be replaced the next day. My family had to leave & once the carpet was replaced it was up to my 5'4" self to move all of my massive pieces of furniture into place, alone. I was told the maintenance manager would help me put my bed frame together, but luckily I made a friend who was able to put it together for me a few weeks later, as old maintenance did not honor that. I dealt with a roach infestation for a few months, as old management would only treat single apartments, and there was a waiting list (up to 2 weeks) for treatment. I noticed mold and dog hair from the previous tenant had been painted over in the bathroom (still there), the dishwasher filter was full of old food (I had to clean it myself), and the clothes washer smelled of dog, was moldy, didn't drain because of dog hair, and I found a drug bag stuck to the door after the washer had been "cleaned" the first time. It took 4 more maintenance visits to "clean" the washer with chemicals, as they refused to replace the washer unit, and finally I gave up. 2023: 8 months later, I finally complained again and the wonderful new management/maintenance team was able to get me a replacement liner for the washer, and the crack in my freezer that existed upon move in is finally being taken care of as well. The new management is BY FAR better than the old, and they are doing their best to make up for the bad experiences I had with old management & improve the complex overall. This place is tucked away in a great location, and overall it's worth the price (Austin is crazy expensive, but try finding something more affordable/safe off South Congress). My unit faces the pool & have never had issues with late night noise, and all of my neighbors are great. During the freeze we lost power for 4 days, but I'll say my first floor unit stayed warm enough that all of my tropical plants survived in the bathroom. I've never had issues with cars or mailboxes being broken into, as I have in other areas of the city. If this new management company had been in charge when I first moved in, I know my initial experience would have been so much better, which is why I'd absolutely recommend RNB to anyone.

The office staff isn't horrible but their communication could be better. The neighbors are not all that great, there's a few that feed and breed stray cats and they are EVERYWHERE. It's disgusting! On top of that, people are very nosy and don't understand personal space and minding their own business. The parking spots are way too small and doesn't accommodate families especially with kids/babies. The gate probably only worked the first 2 months I lived there and I've had homeless people still from out my car a few times and even got a gun pulled on my family and I. So I think it's safe to say I wouldn't recommend nor come back to live here.

I love the community. People are nice and friendly, the staff is awesome ( kudos to Daysi in the lease office!), com?n areas are nice and clean. Very close to Downtown, and many restaurants close by.

The only major problem I have had at this apartment is my heating/cooling going out at least six times since I moved in, and I have lived here less than a year. It seems as though they have only provided temporary solutions, but nothing permanent or not willing to put in the money to resolve this issue. For the price that I pay to live here, it is very much not worth it to have to go through this multiple times throughout the year. Other than that, the area is nice, community is friendly, and my neighbors are cool. Price is too much for what you have to experience.

My experience at this community was great until Tipton took over. Maintenance calls were fast and efficient. Since the acquisition, I've gotten nothing resolved and still have a broken AC. It's absolutely absurd that this hasn't been fixed.

I've lived here for going on 4 years and I've never had any issues until the new management team came in. I don't plan to renew my lease and I would not recommend this apartment complex while the current management is in place. The leasing manager was rude to me when I followed up on a service request and I believe she lacks empathy. She was willing to do nothing for my service request because it wasn't considered an emergency. That's unprofessional and irresponsible to only take care of an issue when it becomes an emergency.

I lived in the community in the past under a different management company, but things have changed drastically in the short time since Tipton Group took over. In short, I was moved into a cockroach infested unit that reeked of cigarette smoke, had no hot water, no blinds, and a variety of smaller maintenance issues that no one expects to be faced with on move-in day. The first two weeks the cockroach infestation was so severe that I couldn't stay in the unit. I've had to fight tooth and nail with nearly daily calls, emails, and in-person visits to the front office to even get these issues acknowledged, never mind resolved. I've been there a month and finally got the roach treatment but the management failed to schedule the follow up, so they are quickly returning. I still don't have the blinds that were promised to me "within a day" of move in and my service requests for something as simple as a running toilet are being marked done without the issues being fixed. The property manager Callie seems to want to genuinely fix things but is seriously deprived of competent help and resources. I've emailed the corporate office with no response and even spoke with the regional manager Gus in-person but have not received any tangible resolution for the cockroach infested dump that I was swindled into signing a lease for. Every time you speak to someone you get a different answer for the same question or just words with no actual meaning. I would not recommend this apartment community to my worst enemy.

I enjoy it here but with new management it's extremely disorganized and no one knows what's going on. I always get someone new on the phone who has no record of the issue I'm talking about. I don't know why there are security gates but they're always open

Exterior of buildings not being maintained. Roof damage not repaired, exterior lighting not repaired for over a year. Dying landscape being removed but not replaced. Management does not care about the property's appearance or safety of the residents.

the community is quiet and clean, the shareable spaces are very nice and the staff is really helpful. moving in took a while but it was worth it. the parking could pile up fast if it's unassigned parking otherwise it's relatively easy to park near your apartment.

Retreat at North Bluff is a fine and well-maintained apartment complex. The staff is friendly and helpful and with few exceptions the area is quiet and comfortable. Noise from adjoining units is less than I've experienced in other apartments but the front door slams and heavy walkers above are disconcerting. The rates are fair for the area as well.

Friendly staff, clean complex, easy to get to. I had a friend that lived here many years ago and I loved the apartment unit. Pool is clean. The leasing office takes packages during the day so that's a nice perk.

This is a very nice and quiet complex. It is a small complex and I never have any issues with parking or dealing with noise issues. Not your typical massive, party geared community. The location is extremely convenient.

Any time we have a maintenance request, it's completed quickly and accurately. The dog park here is AMAZING and is probably the reason we will never leave this community. Our dog has so much fun with all his friends in such a large space to run around.

Apartments are nice. Neighbors have been quiet and respectful. Good Amenities such as Pool, gym, media room, and walking paths. Quick access to Austin via IH 35 and South Congress. Close to several food and shopping locations.

I have lived at this apartment complex for six years, and it has been one thing after another. The only reason I stayed is because it was extremely close to the job that I had. The office staff is rude and are never concerned about any issue you have. They are slow to respond to maintenance issues and display a negative attitude. The pool is hardly ever accessible, and is drained often, so is unusable. Parking is a nightmare, and I have been towed despite having my parking pass clearly displayed in my vehicle. I would not recommend living here to anyone. There are much better options in Austin.

When I first moved in the staff was very helpful. There apparently was a mix up with my utility bill which they didn't make me aware of. The applied my utility bill to my rent which I didn't mind this continued for 3 months until they decided to stop doing so and told me that I would have to fix the problem and had "3 days to do so or face eviction"... according to the Texas Rental Property Code I should have been given 30 days notice. I feel that I could have resolved the problem with much less stress on my end if they just would have told me of the issue prior to moving in. The parking problems I understand is because of limited space but I think there is a better way to resolve this issue rather than just overlooking them. The fees that come with paying for rent online are getting out of hand. It's now a $38 processing fee to pay my rent... plus the service charges of which there are two the last time I checked, which don't have any description as to what they are billed for or applied to.

Renewed the lease multiple times. Nice quiet complex off the main thoroughfare. Not a huge complex which means the management seems to remember you. Never had any problems that were not resolved quickly.

This complex is a horrible place to live. The management staff does not care about the tenants and allows aggressive disturbances to go on. I would recommend looking elsewhere. There are many issues that go unaddressed

The maintenance staff is great but management is not. They refuse to help in serious situations and refuse to enforce their own policies. The location is good but there are too many other options in the neighborhood. I would not recommend anyone move into this complex
