San Marin is a wonderful apartment complex. The maintenance staff is very respectful of your time and is always quick to start and finish a job. The front office staff is friendly and genuinely invested in each tenants life. They greet you by name and always ask what better ways they can serve you. The apartment complex as a whole is always making new changes to accommodate the tenants. It has been a wonderful place to live!

community: residents...
community: residents are nice; staff is nice; management- could be a lot better; timeliness of maintenance requests could be better; overall approach to managing residents and their problems could be a lot better

I love my home. Management always polite and helpful. I can't wait for movie night at the pool. Everything here has been improved since new management and looks so much cleaner. I feel like they care for us residents. Keep up the great work guys.

I'm sorry but I strongly disagree, you folks have to be talking about a different complex. I used to live there, but got out I still have a cousin who lives there and shes had enough as well. You could get sooooooo much more for your money, and be in a safer, nicer area, just look around. San Marin is terrible, nasty, dirty and all around bad place in a bad area.

Wow ... after reading...
Wow ... after reading some of these reviews it seems like I live in a different community. From day one ( I've been here for a year and a half ) I have not had any of the issues that I read here. I was in a pre-upgraded apartment in the begining. I loved the location of my unit and had no issues with any neighbors. Recently I transfered aparments into an upgraded unit. My family loves the new place. It is bigger, nicer, and just all around great. The staff here is so helpful. Shea goes above and beyond what is needed to take care of everything. The new paint, rocks, and renovations of the gym and resident room look awesome. In the begining I was hesitant about paying the amount I did but with everything upgraded now... it seems like such a great deal. My transfer was to a bigger apartment with upgrades and an attached garage, all for less rent than I was originally paying. I would recommend this property to my friends and family any day. Whenever I have guests they always compliment… See More>4/15/2013

I moved in to San Marin...
I moved in to San Marin when it was still managed by Lincoln Properties. I was a little apprehensive when Berkshire took over, and progress has been slow, but it is finally happening. I just changed units, so my old apartment was pre-upgrade and my new apartment has all of the upgrades, and the difference is great. In my old (prepped under Lincoln management) apartment, my bathtub had been resurfaced with a terrible - quality enamel paint. Every shampoo bottle I set on it made a mark, and the bottom became porous and absorbed haircolor and absorbed it so well that copious amounts of bleach only faded it slightly. The paint was white and dingy, and the countertops were also quite porous and susceptible to marking. In contrast, the countertops in my new apartment are way-nicer looking and don't stain and discolor from something like a dribble of tomato sauce. They also look more expensive, sort of a faux marble in deep tans and browns. The paint is a nice dark beige color, and it doesn't look like a mental hospital like my previous unit. Maintenance has also been much quicker… See More>anonymous

The community used to he good. Then there was new management, and things has gone down pretty quickly. This management would rather worry about painting than having the trash picked up enough. The maintenance staff has also become terrible and lazy.

This is probably the...
This is probably the best apartment complex for employees of National Instruments. Virtually no commute, rent is decent, parking is good, and even though the apartments aren't the most updated, they're more than sufficient and I haven't had any major maintenance issues (nothing is falling apart or keeps breaking, etc). But the location is pretty close to anything else you might need; you can get downtown via Mopac in 15-20 min. The patios are nice and big - many apartments have two patios, so it's nice to have outside space to enjoy. People here mostly keep to themselves and are quiet. Office staff have always been cheerful and nice - Shea, Jessica and Sophia especially. The building exteriors just got repainted and the parking lot repaved, so that improves the look. Some apartments face a nice treed area but I would take the time to scout out the physical location of a unit you are interested in, since some apartments (in Phase II) are pretty close to the railroad tracks and some look like they'd bake in the hot summer sun. But overall a really nice place and hopefully a community I… See More>2/28/2013

We were very dissatisfied...
We were very dissatisfied with our stay at San Marin. Our apartment, which I shared with my husband and infant, was infested with roaches upon our move in date and the problem wasn't addressed throughly. The apartment manager, Eli, had pest control spray every week, but we explained to him on numerous occasions that if they didn't find the entry point or cause for the roaches that they would keep coming back, which they did. We told maintenance and Eli that the dishwasher needed to be replaced, since when maintenance pulled it out there were an entire COLONY of roaches behind the dishwasher and it was also not draining properly (puddle of water=roach heaven). It wasn't replaced for two and a half months. In these two in a half months we didn't have a working dishwasher, we couldn't eat or run the broken dishwasher unless we wanted to see 10-20 roaches. This apartment cost us more money than we could've forseen since we were forced to eat out almost every meal. I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone.

Bad move-in experience....
Bad move-in experience. My apartment wasn't move-in ready the day I got my keys. Several things in the apartment had to be fixed within the first 2 weeks of my moving in which leads me to believe they didn't do a thorough walk thru before I signed my lease. For the first few months maintenance requests were taking over a week to get processed. They have become much more efficient lately, however. The maintenance and office staff are very nice though. I am very happy with the layout of my apartment and the price I pay for the amount of space I have.
