Indifferent... love some things and frustrated about others
I moved into 1701 not too long after it opened. Overall I'm happy, but I don't think I'll be staying. The office staff is warm, however maintance is not the quickest to respond. My biggest issue though is 1701's lack of amenties and the fact I have to go next door for a decent pool, etc.... 1701 and Colonial Apartments are directly across from each other.... they're pretty much the same place, 1701 just has better finishes in its apartments and is alittle more expensive. Any way, both are managed by the same staff and we share certain amenities. What really gets me though is that although we pay more money than the people at Colonial Park, all the amentities are at that community! 1701 only has a pool... if you even want to call it that, it's barely big enough for 6 people. The large pool, business center, and fitness center are all over at Colonial! Even the office staff spends all their time in the Colonial leasing office so if I ever need to talk to them I have to leave my community and go across the street. It just doesn't make since for it to be that way when I'm the one paying more money. News flash to the office staff... you are sweet girls but you need to spend more time in 1701's leasing office as well. Right now we feel like the step child....

good price, middling management
I've lived at Park Garden (actually, now named Park Lane) for nearly two years. The price is great and the apartments are okay (need more closet space, but good size bathrooms). The maintenance is sometimes slow, and the management can seem, at times, indifferent. Still, you get what you pay for. My biggest complaint, I wish the mgt. would do more to police the common areas; some nice people live here, some trashy. I'd just as soon not see the filled ashtrays and empty beer bottles left behind by the latter.
