I have only lived at Centreport for a short while and in that time I have certainly had my share of ups and downs. First of all, when you first drive up it looks beautiful. When you tour the complex you see how beautiful the entire community is big spaces, nice pool, all that stuff and if you look past the occasional brown patch of grass or ignored dog poop its almost idyllic. Just like the last place I lived in all the negative sides of an apartment are only visible to the resident. Parking is not good, and if you are a visitor or work a night shift you are gonna be outta luck in the parking dept. Don't even test those parking signs you can barely see at night, trust me. It gets annoying having to tell friends they have to park next door or around the corner but you will get towed so it's the lesser of two evils I guess. Noise can be a problem cause the walls are on the thin side and I'm on the 3d floor with wood floors so my downstairs neighbors are constantly on me for being unreasonably loud but since I moved in they keep complaining and all I'm doing is walking around promise! No parties or nothing. I stopped wearing shoes inside recently and that seems to have helped but if they bring it up again I don t know what else I could do. I also think the maintenance staff is good. They can be slow to get to your request but it has always gotten done for me. If you can take a moment to get to know those guys they are really great and talking to them after you put in your request is the quickest way to make sure your request gets done once they know about it, trust me they will show up. Sometimes the requests get lost somewhere between my submitting one and the office staff taking care of it but that isn t the maintenance team's fault.

Beware of the FAKE REVIEWS! JRK is trying to up their ratings. Just look at the all of the number of reviews over the past few months. Be Careful!

Since the renovations, this place has done a complete 180 degrees in terms of grounds and community quality. I ve experienced a couple of minor issues - particularly with noise (neighbors and renovation related) and this summer I felt like a staff was on vacation. But recently, I ve seen a big improvement and the new manager already seems better. Hopefully this trend continues and my confidence in my decision remains.

NOW CALLED CENTREPORT LAKE APARTMENTS!!!!!We moved in September of last year just a few days before the new managment took over. Paid all of our deposits prior to moving in. Our lease ended 9/30/2012 just 3 weeks ago and our final bill was sent to collection on 9/30/12!!!! NO DEPOSITS WERE TRANSFERRED OVER!!!! Now the previous company has not knowledge that we ever even signed a lease or even paid a deposit.....the new company never made us sign a lease with them and now they are demanding we pay for all damages.....WITHOUT our deposits applied..........the office staff changed ever week and was never helpful in helping with any matter. When we tried to renew our lease for the second year, the monthly price went up from $1100.00 to almost $1600.00................really??????? Then they charged us to have all carpet replaced AND a pet treatment.....how does that work if it is new carpet?????????????

I ll admit the property photos suckered me in! No but really, I don t see what all the complaints are about! Maybe I been here long enough or maybe I m more hardback. But I have a beautiful apartment in a safe, well-kept community. Sure staff may be changing often recently, but it hasn t impacted me or my friends who also live here.

Since moving in june of last year, the place has def been improved in terms of complex amenities. I also appreciate that its safe and and less ------ than other spots nearby. Got some issues with maintenance and a couple work orders took a little longer. Still better than my last apartment!

It really is both comical and sad that most of the positive reviews on this property seem to be written by the staff. Really. I love the kitchen. I love that there is open grassy areas. I do not love the feeling that management cares nothing for me. More than once we've had to follow-up on maintenance requests to find they weren't even in the system, and we've waited weeks for both big and small maintenance items. Overall, as far as apartments go, they're beautiful, outwardly. I just wish that management would like to actually hear tenant feedback to make improvements. Instead, they put their time into writing positive comments to counteract a negative review on this and other sites. Oh, well. What a shame!

Please note that many of the concerns expressed by others about this property are true. Imagine how many other people feel this same way but have not expressed it on a site such as this. Please pay attention to the number of complaints; numbers are a great source of knowledge. I want to add my voice to the 'nay' sayers. Something is not right at this property, whether it be exactly what we talk about, or whether these concerns are mere symptoms of the problem. They are issues to be concerned about when renting from this property. Centreport Lake is a very nice property, but when time comes for maintenance repairs, the service is not so impressive. If you are okay with paying lots of money for rent and then feeling like you don't matter, please rent from this place. Please do yourself a favor though, don't get too frustrated and waste your time cussing out the office staff when something disagreeable happens. No one deserves to be treated that way, even if you don't agree with them. Take your losses and move on with life. Your time is more valuable than the time they will give you. I give this advise because most likely you will have the desire to act just like this if you rent from this property. Enjoy!

WHERE DO I START!!! Straight up though, these apartments SUCK! Like really really SUCK! I'd have to blame management for all of this! They are so unorganized. There has been two companies that have managed the place since I stayed here... The first was better (still sucked) and the second is just horrible. I swear the new management just made up some new rules around here that I get fined for which is some bullcrap lol. Also, parking is HORRIBLE, my cousins car got towed at 11pm? When there's only like 10 total visitors parking here lol. That's ridiculous lol and they build some stupid pond that they could've used for more parking lol. The have a park for dogs instead of kids??? Wth is up with that lol. I don't know what else to say. My cousin that stays in building 10 got robbed earlier this year and believe its some people that stay in the same apartment complex. Trash is ridiculous, you can't even put it out a night before which is so stupid. You have to walk far jus to throw away trash lol. They build a movie theater that you have to reserve -_- c'mon now lol maintenance is also horrible as well... The people are good except the --- that drives the mustang and motorcycle. Anyways there's no printer in the office room in the front lol cheap ol apartments lol. These apartments just suck.

RENT FROM BROADSTONE AVION NEXT DOOR. They are A management and in comparison to JRK there is no question. THIS IS NOT BROADSTONE CENTREPORT ANY MORE! It is now Centreport Lake and is managed by JRK, NOT Broadstone. Broadstone management was exceptional, JRK is horrible, it is a night and day difference. Under JRK management: - Incredibly disorganized office. Every time you call in you tell them what you want (service request, utilities payment amount inquiry, etc) you get put in silence for 5 minutes until they figure out what to do on the computer. Even after that, most of the time they will just write it down on paper. Guess what happens then? You call in two weeks later about the issue and they have lost the paper and just write it back down on a new sheet. - They will misquote your rent amount (since I call in to get my rent utilities total). This causes a nice note on your door for eviction if you dont pay by money order in 3 days. - I requested a quote on extending my lease 6 months rather than the year. I got a "sure we will send that to corporate". Two weeks later, oh we didnt get that and they send another. A week after that, oh we didnt send that...I then go directly to corporate myself and they are just dont respond for weeks. It is not just this local JRK management, its the entire company. - They rarely answer their phone and if they do, it is someone who has no clue on how to process your request. - They stopped taking packages. On the complex itself, it is nice and the apartments modern. Parking for visitors is a joke though, with only a few spots per row. Most of the time leading to parking on the street outside the complex. The brand new apartments at Broadstone Avion next door have the same exact layouts, but stainless, granite, etc, for a small increase in rent. The fact that it is managed by a good company rather than JRK is the seal on what your decision should be.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE! The property management is TERRIBLE! I have been here before the apartments became Centrepoint Lake and I love it management was terrific, but now my lease is up next month and IM SOOOOOO THANKFUL. My upstairs neighbor makes all the NOISE they want up until 2AM and the apartment will not do anything about it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!I have had it with these apartement and VERY upset RESIDENT at this point. I never wrote a review on apartments and this is a must.

I've lived here more than 2 years only because this was close to my work and that I'm too lazy to move! Decent place but I've had it with all this god damn noise! So here goes a review. Parking: Sucks, be prepared to walk a block with those heavy groceries People: Cold Walls: Thin, you better love the annoying sound of water rushing through the pipes Island kitchen: Ill-designed, no ventilation, better get used to fire alarms going off Gates: Always open and beeping, and slightly raised rails, so get used to loud thud sounds as cars enter and leave the block Pool: Mostly under maintenance Gym: Broken/missing equipment Pool table: Missing balls, broken cues Dropped calls: High (right down in the flight path) Welcome, you'll love it here!

Keep Looking
I have a corporate Apartment at Broadstone now known as Centreport Lake. Beautiful property. Unfortunately, they have had 2 Management Companies in the Complex in the 18 months I have been there. The 1st was downright rude, dishonest, incompetent and arrogant about it. The second is just incompetent and I am not sure who is in charge? It is obvious the Owners are a problem here and just put up a front of a nice place. They don't care. I am a big boy that is armed and I have an alarm. I would NOT put my family here. They rent to anybody and they invite thier friends. This company will keep this cash cow full, extract every last penny at all costs and will only spend money back into the problem when thier back is against the wall. I have not re-newed my lease and am looking for another apartment. Really a shame. It is a beautiful place, with the right owners group and a management crew with a clue, it would be the best in the area.

DO NOT MOVE THERE!!!
Although this is a beautiful complex and I love my APARTMENT, the management SUCKS!! We have a neighbor that plays loud music every night and we have complained over and over. Have called police many times. Nothing done. Parking is horrible. They SAY people will be towed that don't have stickers, DON'T believe it. I have parked 4 buildings away and had to walk in the rain to get to my place!!! Also, if you have a maintenance issue, forget it. Have called three times to have a light fixed. Still waiting months later. They recently started valet trash service and guess what...the sidewalks and stairwells now look like we live in the slums of a drug house!! Complaining about this is pointless as well. Management doesn't care!! I went to turn in our lease termination and they just didn't care. Most places would beg you to stay. Its a horrible shame because I LOVE the apartment. IF you can deal with all the other issues, its a great place, but chances are you can't.

Broadstone Ghettoport!
Believe all of the bad reviews! Last month management stopped accepting packages for their tenants. Any tenant shopping online is out of luck if the package has to be delivered while the tenant is at work (which is most of the time). The office no longer has room for the packages because they are building a movie theater. How many people in a complex actually use a movie theater vs. having the front office accept package deliveries when the tenant is at work? On top of that, they decide to stop accepting packages right before Christmas! Then there are the arbors, the pond (excuse me... lake), and brick driveway. Management can afford to have a pond, arbors, and a brick driveway built, but they can't treat the ants! I wonder how much they will try to raise everyone's rent to pay for all of this useless crap. The last management company tried to raise my rent $105/mo when I renewed. I talked them down to raising it $75/mo. I'll be moving when my lease is up anyway. The parking is bad. Management sent out a flier telling everyone that the hotel across the street will allow tenants to park in their parking lot. I blame the parking issue on management. They allow 4-5 people (all with vehicles) to move into a an apartment, then wonder how to fix the parking problem. Well.... stop allowing that many people to be on a lease! The architect designed the complex and parking to allow a certain number of vehicles for each apartment. I can say that current management is in the process of adding additional parking. I just hope they don't spend all of their funds on the other crap before finishing the parking lot project. In addition to management, is the buildings. If the Dollar General store was a construction company, I would swear they built these apartments. My apartment is not level at all. If I put a ball on the floor in the hall, it rolls to one side. If the bedroom door is left slightly open, it slowly swings all the way open till it bumps the wall. If I decide to fry something, I have to set up a fan to blow toward the smoke detector in the kitchen so the smoke detector won't go off. There is no vent over the stove. The stove/oven is built into an island that sits in the middle of the kitchen. The vent is built into the microwave, which is on the side wall of the kitchen. The smoke detector is closer to the stove than the microwave with the vent. There is a sprinkler over the stove. Perfect for grease fires! I don't see how this passes the fire code. Last but not least is some of the tenants that management allowed to move in. I don't know if it was current management or previous management, but they allowed a group of thugs to move in. They look like drug dealers. My wife don't feel safe walking anymore. The last two times she walked, a couple of thugs started yelling obscenities to her. That's when I nicknamed these apartments "Broadstone at Ghettoport". As far as hearing noise in the apartments, I have good neighbors and rarely hear any noise from them. I hear the person that lives upstairs walking, but that is with almost any apartment you rent now days. Occasionally, I'll hear someone drive by with a radio turned up loud. I haven't had any maintenance issues, so I don't about maintenance. When my lease up, I'm video taping my apartment like one of the previous tenants mentioned on this site, and finding a better place.
