eh...it is apartment living
I moved in while the complex was being finished and it was very nice that first year grounds were kept and the management company at the time (Alliance) at least tried to keep up the property. I renewed my lease since the location is great in terms of Arlington Sporting events, my work, shopping, airport, and ease of travel within the metroplex. The original management company was good not great but that is expected with most management companies. The second year many of the original tenets began to move out and it appeared that the original management company was struggling with managing this complex with the high turn over rate (people moving out every week), the insect infestation, and parking concerns. It would have been nice if they would have mentioned to us (the residents) that they were selling this place instead of making sure we were all locked into leases. For that I can never rent from Alliance again as the new management took over a week after I renewed. If I had know that they were going to sell I would not have renewed my lease and a little honesty on Alliance's side would have been appreciated. A new management company JRK bought the place and it has not been for the better. I can understand the first company just wanted to unload this place on someone but it is still no excuses since this new management company according to there website specializes in managing difficult properties. Their specialty lies in wasting money on upgrades that do not improve what is needed.....PARKING. The most important issue is insect infestation. From crickets to water bugs to ants, insects have infected entire buildings within this complex. From the kitchen to the bedroom (from my notebook as I type this I just killed two ants on my screen) they are everywhere I have thrown out hundreds of dollars of food from ants getting into it. My dog doesn't get to eat during the day because I can not leave out food. I store all of my food in the fridge now thank god they have not figured out how to get into that yet. I sprayed raid, traps, wrote letters to the office under Alliance's management to which they contracted a pest control to spray the base boards and seems to help a little now with JRK I have not seen a pest control personal or note in my unit AT ALL. (Damn ant on my computer again!!) The second major issue is parking. I have rented a garage so I am not out like some people. If you come at 2am you will see many cars parked outside around the complex. Their is tons of green space inside that could be made into parking. Alliance's remedy was colored stickers that didn't work...JRK's remedy is colored stickers that do not work I can say that at least JRK promises to increase parking 5% but also build a lake that is not needed. Renter beware!!! If you plan to get home after 11pm you will park outside the gate. The third issue is the trash originally there was not trash service until we complained enough which resulted in them giving you one bin big enough to fit one bag of trash 3 days a week and would fine you 100 dollars per bag outside the bin. Trash is collect within the hallways which might explain why we have ants. I can say at least JRK allows multiple bags of trash so that is a good thing. Fortunately, I know the company they outsource the trash service too so I often give them my extra bags of trash on my way to work so be nice to them so you don't have to haul it yourself. (Damn ant of my computer again!!). You will occasionally have to take your own trash to the one trash compactor which gets overfilled on the weekends. As far as maintenance get to know the maintenance staff they are cool just overworked. Their are 2.5 people for at least 18 buildings. If you can catch them it is easier to get them to take a look at things than going through the office, that wasn't the case when the previous management owned it. While it is true the walls are fairly thin that is the case with most complexes built since 2000 just hope you have quiet neighbors. The third floor has all wood floors so if you live on the second floor you hear everywhere that person is going especially if they are heavy walkers including their pets that run up and down all day long. Which is one of the reasons I will be moving out. Lastly when JRK took over the property they fired the groundskeepers and hired a cheaper company I guess to save money. You can see the don't water the grass anymore or take care of the bermuda grass by the garages(it is all brown)around the complex there are no flowers by the gate entrances like there used to be with Alliance I know that is not important but it is nice to see they are doing something with the hard earn money you pay instead of just pocketing it. Especially if guests come over it is the small things that count. To close rent starts about 860 dollars for a small one bedroom and with the renovations I am sure it will go up. For that money you can rent a single family home or townhouse nearyby. To those still inquiring about the place after reading do not be fooled by the sprucing up or the facade it is still your ordinary apartment. Damn ant again crawling across my screen....UGH!!!.

Apartment not ready as per lease contract...
I will spare you all of the long, drawn out details of the frustrating and unprofessional experience that occurred. In short, my fiance' and I had signed a lease about 1 1/2 months before JRK Management took over. I called the office several times before we were to pick up our keys AND the day of our move-in to ensure I had all of the pertinent move-in information: renter's policy, electric information and pro-rate rental amount. The day of our move I called and requested that the office would have a copy of our signed lease ready when we picked up the keys! I was assured there would be one ready. NO ONE EVER....EVER....stated there was or "might" be a problem with our move-in date! We went to pick up our keys as scheduled and shown on our lease contract (with our vehicles packed with our first load of belongings to move, pro-rate rent, renter's policy, and electric account information) and waited a good 20-25 minutes before we were told that there was a problem and our file must have "slipped through the cracks!" Yes, a member of the office staff stated our file had "slipped through the cracks!" We of course were beyond frustrated and they ended up cancelling our lease. We had to dish out a lot more money to find a new place. New deposit/app fees/administrative fees AND we're paying the "lovely and expensive" month to month rental rate at our current apartment, until our new apt is ready! Thankfully, we found a great new apartment home not too far from Broadstone! I know everyone makes mistakes, but JRK Management had several chances to double, triple check their make-ready and move-ins! Especially, after I called and spoke to management on the phone (even on the day of our "move-in!" They should be held responsible for their negligence and lack of professionalism. Oh, I forgot to mention we had our AT&T ready to be connected, our electricity already connected AND our mail already forwarded. So, there was more time and hassle having to get all of that cancelled, connected at the place we're at now AND connected at our new place! Just please be careful with this new management company: JRK.

BEWARE
I will be honest!! I'm not a guy who cares about lawns, pools etc as I would imagine these basic things to be in good condition for the amount of rent this community is charging. Some buildings of this community have severe ant problem and when I say severe, I mean it. No matter what you do ants would still be there and everywhere. You would be frustrated on the response of pest control, management. The complaints no matter what or how you register are never heard. Funny thing is they note the complaints on a piece of paper and then forget. Yes, I'm talking about new management. Previous management was way better atleast at response and problem-handling. You register complaint and then its your duty to remind them regularly. Parking is a big time mess and yes you will have to park outside the community. The insulation/energy saving tag they claim is not actually that efficient, you would still hear sounds from guy walking upstairs or someone taking shower in your next apartment. The carpet they have is very bad and if you turn on your fan, you would actually see the carpet lint up on the walls and on your furniture- No matter if you vacuum your room once a week, it would still have carpet lint all over the place. There are areas where there is no regular cleaning, hence, mosquitoes etc is quite common. I regret my decision to move into this apartment thinking it would be giving me comfort according to its price but I'm highly disappointed. Unfortunately, I still have good number of months to live in this frustration. Please do not waste your time and money on this apartment. There are lots of other apartments which are way cheaper and yet best. Do not fall for gated-community, walled-community etc. Honestly, it does not help much.

Beware!!!!!
I have been a resident at this property for over 2 years. I have lived in two different apartments and have thoroughly enjoyed the apartments. The property has always been well cared for and residents have always been considerate and professionally minded and have taken pride in keeping the property nice. UNTIL new management popped up! Unfortunately I had just signed a new lease and was not informed of the change. (Something you want to make sure to ask about when signing a lease good to take note of this!!!) This property management JRK should stand for JERKS this people are completely unprofessional in every thing they do from their appearance to the way that they interact with residents. I verrrry rarely get them to answer my calls and when I do rarely finally after many attempts get a rare answer the person I need to speak with is always unavailable and messages are taken down and calls are never ever ever returned. I have gone in person several times in recent weeks spending great lengths of time to attempts to take care of simple concerns that were promised to be addressed. Mowing of the grass (not mowed for over a month!!!), upkeep of the grounds, broken business area equipment, unanswered calls, simple requests that former management would have quickly handled professionally are poorly documented on little spiral notebooks and issues are never resolved. I have had to return again and again, only to be treated with zero respect by upper management. The staff does not have a clue what they are doing and speak of adding gazebos and park benches...., I'd like the investment to go toward hiring a staff that has a clue what they are doing that can give decent customer service. I am disgusted by the excuses blamed on previous owners for everything. I get a gross feeling every time I walk in the office. The property is beautiful but don't be fooled it's over priced and going down hill fast, just look at the other properties they own..., yep it's headed in that direction and doing so quickly. Construction eye sores have emerged when it was promised to be a beautiful green community now it's being turned into a parking lot. I have never in my life been so irate with a company and to think I am living in the place they work and pay them money for my home makes me nauseous. Don't walk RUN away!!!!

Ouch!
I sure hope everyone reading this review understands the parking is terrible. No one can have a guest due to the shortage of space. God forbid if I were to have a boyfriend and invite him over. Geez!!!! The apartments are nice; they really are. The location makes it easy to get to Dallas and to Fort Worth. The airport is really close and I actually don't mind the planes. I travel so much and it makes it easy for me to commute. With the old staff I had no issues with Jonathan or Wesley. When I called them everything was taken care of promptly. They would notify me when I had packages, handle apartment issues and always give me a call back to make sure things were done. I appreciated their professionalism. I hope the new management staff will be so kind. The good points about my unit is as follows: I am by the canal and a nice grassy area is behind me. It looks like a small park. I have a wonderful garage and room for both vehicle that I own. I have very quiet neighbors and so thankful. The pool, trash and mailboxes are very close to my unit. Pet owners clean up after their pets! Rarely have I been in a complex where pet owners are so considerate. Yay! to all for being so responsible. Overall, my apartment is nice. I like it. The bad things about the complex are as follows: Terrible parking which has been addressed. Residents park in the Vistor spaces so there is no legal place for guests to park. Not fair to either party-resident or guest. The trash on the weekend is bad. With only one place for trash it gets stacked everywhere around the recepticle. Expensive for a small apartment. I never received a copy of my lease and asked for it. I did not ask Jonathan or Wesley so I knew it woud not be provided. Overall, it is not a bad place to live but for the money I can have a better place to live in the Spring when my lease is up. I will not renew my lease.

Need Information.
Does anyone have JRK's corporate office mailing address and contact numbers? I was to scheduled to move-in this past month and it didn't work out and I need to file a few complaints. I have requested this information the office staff at Broadstone. However, they have all told me they do not have this information. Any help would be appreciated. Just an FYI, be VERY cautious if looking to lease here. From what I have experienced JRK Management does not know how to take responsibility of their actions.

Noisy
My main reason for wanting to move is the noise...My neighbor on one side plays his music, (with abnoxious bass) everday. Last night, it was until midnight. ( I have complained twice already.) The neighbors above me are loud...and that may be just because the building is poorly built. If you move here, get the 3rd floor...because you can hear EVERYTHING if you are not on the top. You can hear the airplanes, but it's not that bad...The worst part, is that if someone is outside talking in the parking lot, you can hear their entire conversation inside your apartment. For being built two years ago, the construction is extremely poor. The parking is bad..but I have a garage, so I utilitize that and the space in front of it. This place is over-priced considering the location and the poorly insulated/built construction.

Totally Believed The Facade ...
First and foremost, we came to look at these apartments 3 months before we were ready to move (I'm a planner) and we were told by two different staff members, that we were "too early". Then, on move in day, they made us wait until noon when the office opened (Sunday) instead of giving us our keys the day before. Upon arrival to our apartment, we found it was not the pristine beauty that was advertised in the model. After complaining profusely, we've had a baseboard replaced and our faulty carbon monoxide alarms replaced. The former tenant had a huge dog who chewed up a lot of things, and all they did was paint over it. We still have a hole in our bathroom, and our cabinets are all different shades of brown. The excuses we were offered were "that it is a used apartment" and "somebody dropped the ball". Needless to say, not everything has been fixed and we've stopped bothering to call. The latest and greatest tragedy, is that the tenant whose balcony is above our garage likes to dump his dirty mop water on our car. It took 3 different incidences before someone took us seriously ... fingers crossed its been two weeks without a dirty car! Don't be naive ... they say you cant hear your neighbors, YOU CAN! They say you can't hear the airplanes ... YOU CAN! The maintenance team sucks, mainly because they are swamped, and just recently we were informed that Alliance Residential no longer owns the community. Lots of new faces/voices in the office after the change.

Not Worth It
Don't fall for the smiles of the staff. Once the lease is signed it goes down hill from there. They gym has poor upkeep, the pool has one side locked, pool by mailboxes is closed half the time, breakin to garage is commen, and when you have any issues the office doesn't have any sympthy. There is no sense of urgency by the staff. The place really is a dump. You are better off paying $200 to $300 less and move to Camden. They might not have the same gym or remote gate, but that place would treat you better and have things in order. Bottom line, don't move to Broadstone. You will live pissed off during your stay. Can't wait for lease to finish.

Parking is a turn off: Scratch this place
Please stay away from these unprofessional bunch. I thought the old management was bad, these people stink.Yes, from outside it looks good. The apartment itself is not too old I admit but everything else is bad: No parking except you're willing to pay for parking, dog poops all over, unprofessional staff with attitude, and now they are renting to hoodlums. Beware! Once you sign the lease, you are literally f&%ked.

Nice apartments, with a catch
Well, thought I'd chime in... I love my apartment. It's beautiful. The floor plan is perfect for me. (I have one of the larger one-bedrooms.) And that's saying a lot because I REALLY loved the place I moved from (Highlands of Valley Ranch, check 'em out!). It took a little while to feel like home, but it has really grown on me. The grounds are lovely as well. I have a nice view of the canal. Of course, living next to the airport, the airplane noise is a fact of life. I can sometimes hear my upstairs neighbor's heavy footsteps, but otherwise, its pretty quiet. I love my garage. If you read any of the other ratings, you understand why. Fortunately for me, I never have more than one person over at a time. (They can park in front of my garage.) However, I feel the need to put two cents in for "the parking issue" as well... Park on the street. There's only one street with posted "no parking" signs. There are a couple of pedestrian access gates. It sucks, but it's better than getting towed from the hotel. And if more than one car was parked out there, it wouldn't seem so dangerous from a through-traffic point of view. (Just sayin'.) Another nice thing... When I moved in, it was suggested that my electric bill would be dramatically smaller, due to the "being built green" thing. And I can confirm that it has been cut almost in half. Maintenance has had to come out for the faulty carbon monoxide alarms. Evidently the original ones are all bad. And the one in my garage is disconnected rather than being replaced. It doesn't bother me, but just adds a little to the poor customer service aspect also touched on in other reviews. I personally have had no issue with the management team. Fortunately, I haven't had much need to call them, but when I have, I've gotten a person who was able to answer my question. And the few individuals I have spoken to have been pleasant. Overall, I like living here. I definitely think that it takes a very specific type of living arrangement/type of person/mentality to enjoy it. I'm lucky that I have a good combo of no issues/one car/no friends. lol. I hope this helps temper some of the bad reviews. I don't think it's all that bad. :)

The staff clearly went through and wrote that rash of good ratings..seriously guys? Go check the reviews that weren't written from the end of September through the beginning of October..those are FAKE! They all look the same and don't give any reasons as to why this place is so "awesome." Take the 31% rating for what its worth..THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!

How Awful
This is the type of place that I wouldn't want to bring my mother to. It seems that the location is good and the place looks great from an outside perspective but as soon as you move in or spark up a conversation with your neighbors you will know the truth. Several garages were broken into the week we moved in and nothing was really done to stop it from happening again. Many other tenants that I spoke with were unhappy with the fact that they were told that certain things would change and nothing happened for example: 1. Overflowing garbage from trash compactor 2. People breaking in (garages, apartments etc.) 3. No parking (even after they started parking tickets and towing random cars) 4. Privacy will be an issue (Walls are paper thin) 5. When you get quoted an amount make sure you get them to write it down (because there is always an "error" made by one of the leasing agents which ends up in the tenant having to pay more) Long story short, I should have trusted my initial instincts that a place like this was "too good to be true."

I'm going to miss them!
I was a first renter when Broadstone was only a few buildings. We moved into building 3 in 2009. The office staff, maintenance, and neighbors are wonderful. I felt like I was in a house instead of just another apartment. It is well worth the cost and I really will miss living there. Family has caused me to move on.

Enjoying my stay!!
I came across these reviews and thought I would give my two cents. I have been living at Broadstone Centreport for over year now, and my overall impression of the community and apartment is in a sense above average. My only real concern was parking, I work at night and by the time I get home early in the morning there was never any parking in the property. I would either have to park in front of the office or on the street outside the community. Recently though the management issued parking stickers to residents and required everyone who had a garage on property to actually use their garage for parking. This seemed to help greatly. I have not had a problem finding a parking spot since this was required. Granted, there are times when I have to park a few feet away from my building because there isn t a spot right in front of my apartment, but it is a drastic improvement from before. Since I have lived here, I have only had a couple minor maintenance issues. My toilet broke a couple times, both of which were fixed the same day. And my water heater needed adjusting; this was done the same day. The noise is not a problem for me at all though. Maybe it is because I live on the 3rd floor, but I do not hear a peep; nothing from the neighbors beside me or below me. Every once in awhile my downstairs neighbor blares his music, but I only hear it if his patio door is open, otherwise, nothing. You do hear the planes, but it isn t substantial and I expected the plane noise from living so close to the airport. I was expecting for it to be more than it really is. Only having one compactor on property is troublesome. I don t live near enough to it so that I can smell it, but it looks, lack of a better word, trashy when the trash gets all piled up in front of the dumpster cause it is too full or because someone is too lazy to put the trash where it goes. I have seen the workers cleaning it up on weekends though, so I know they try to keep it neat. To rectify this problem, the management staff started a courtesy pickup, this has improved the piling up of the trash in front of the compactor greatly, and does a huge convenience have to not take it all the way to the back of the property. The advantages. I have never had such a low utility bill in my life. My highest bill was obviously over the summer and it did not go above $90. I have lived in smaller apartments and my electricity bill was twice that and not even in peak seasons! My bill now is on average $50. Cannot beat that. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help. They do get busy a lot so sometimes it is hard to get a hold of them if you try and call, but otherwise they are very willing to help with anything. The maintenance team seems to keep on top of things. I haven t had many maintenance issues but have also not heard or seen many complaints. They keep the community very clean and having all the green and landscape around is a nice thing to have, they do a great job at keeping it nice and clean. I love how open the apartment is. They have big windows throughout the apartment that let in a lot of light. The island kitchen is pretty cool too. They have very large closets, big bedroom, lots of cabinet space, and nice hardwood floors. All in all it is a very nice place to live, not the best apartment I have ever lived in, the community and the apartment still has its problems but it could be much worse. I would give the apartment and community a solid B .

UNSAFE & Management Could Care Less!
After I called the cops, talked to the assistant manager ------ and manager ------- at Broadstone Centreport Apartments about a situation my wife had where a gentleman ran after her while she walked the dog & followed her to our door, we were told there would be a notice sent out about the incident to the whole apt complex........there was nothing done. We were told by ------- that they don't want to cause mass hysteria over one incident and would need the incident to happen a second time to send out notice. So you want more than one person to get HARRASED RAPED, MUGGED, OR HAVE A HOME INVASION at your apt. complex before you take action to inform other people' The staff that is on the front line is great but ultimately they can do nothing if the management says different! Final Warning: Stay Away!

Apartment complex to definitely avoid
Truly a sad experience. First time in an apartment in about 30 years. I expected much better. Beautiful place on the surface, but the problem lies a bit deeper. I could write a book, but will try to be fairly succint. The first and foremost thing that I would say is that I would have been willing to stay a couple of months past my 12 month lease on a 2 month lease or month to month, but they apparently aren't interested in retaining model tenants; they would rather run in some new "blood" every 12 months. My renewal was offered 9 days after the lease indicated that it should have been presented, for starters. It gave me the option of going up $100 in monthly rent for the next 12 months or I could go month to month at an "obscene" rate. The month to month rate was an additional #300 above what I am currently paying (supposedly the "market" rate) plus a "month to month premium" of an additional $200. And, when I inquired about a 2 month lease to avoid moving twice, they weren't interested. So, my only real choice was pay $500 more than current rate or move twice. Guess you can guess which I chose. So, if you make the mistake of renting here, beware of renewal time; they obviously prefer to turn their apartments over rather than take care of their good tenants. Now, that was my by far biggest complaint, but here are a few additional items to consider before renting here: - management is never seen and the office staff, though personable, have very high turnover rates (seems like a trend!) - gated community - big selling point, but worthless. people without proper access come and go, at will. And, with my apt being close to one of the gates, there is a horrific "clunk, clunk" sound that is clearly and loudly audible in my apartment on the 3rd floor. - speaking of noise - do you like to hear aircraft roaring in and out of DFW airport a couple of hundred times a day? hope so, if you plan to live here. again, clearly and loudly audible. Also, thought I wouldn't hear traffic on 360 - wrong again. - my detached garage (extra $85/month) was broken into 3 times, but never with any physical damage. guess the perpetrator had a key or remote - big marketing about "green" status - thought this would mean good heat/cold and noise insulation - wrong - kitchen looks good on surface, but don't be fooled by countertops - they are made to look like granite - NOT! and the appliances absolutely reek of cheap! worst dishwasher ever. refrigerator was marginal - safety issue - be very, very careful if you get snow or ice - they make little or no effort to remove it from walks and stairs. guess they have good liability insurance! - didn't even have a state-mandated door viewer (peep-hole) in my door for the first few weeks!! then, I ended up with 2 because they installed the first one with the assumption that I was 7 feet tall. - if you choose to live here, don't worry about rules that they tell you about - they don't enforce them anyway - valet trash was supposedly "imminent" when I moved in. finally got it about 9 1/2 months later Well, could go on forever, but don't really have the time, so be warned. Not a good choice.

the Good and the Bad
We moved in to our apartment in May of 2009. We were one of the first tenants in our building. We too fell in love with the appearance of the apartment. We decided that the detached garage was a great option for us, we would find out later that was a big mistake. Our first year was fairly peaceful with no major problems, so we decided to renew our lease. The second year our list of complaints started. Our detached garage was broken into three times. Each time we reported to the police and to the leasing office. We asked to have the door changed because the successful break-ins had left the metal door frame bent and susceptible to future break-ins...The door still has not been replaced. We even asked the last time to have a second deadbolt added to the door...The second deadbolt has not been added. Parking became a serious issue. The leasing office sent out a letter stating that they would be inspecting all the garages to determine if tenants were using them for parking or solely for storage and that tenants found using their garages solely for storage would be cited for a lease violation . After the inspection we received a letter and a $100 fine for lease violation. The lease violation was unfounded and the fine was dropped by management. Trash is an issue here. The single trash compactor fills quickly leaving an unsightly pile of trash close to the rear entrance it is especially unkept on the weekends. The compactor has broken at least three times each time the complex installed a temporary dumpster that took up four parking spaces. Which compounds the parking problem. The Valet trash pick up just started in February 2011. Two years after the complex first opened and it was orginally promised once all buildings were finished, that was in early 2010. Valet trash pick up started on Feb. 15th which was a Tuesday. The letter about picking up your bin was sent out a month earlier. We put our trash out on Feb. 15th, it was picked up. Two weeks later we put it out again on a Tuesday. We got a very condescending phone call from a new employee (staff does turn over very fast) stating that we must bring our trash back in to our apartment because we were violating our lease agreement and that if it happened again we would be fined for a lease violation. Trash pick-up is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. An honest mistake that was met with an over zealous threat of lease violation. It gets better. This past December...Rent check was stolen out of the rent check drop box. Our check and the checks of ten other tenants were stolen. We found this out because they called to ask why we had not paid our rent for the month of December. Now mind you we pay on time or even early. They have no problem processing your money as soon as they get it...usually same day or 24 hours later. So we had to go thru the hassle of cancelling the check. The biggest issue that really made us hit our boiling point was when we received a phone call while at work that maintenance personnel were going to be entering our garage to inspect for leaking water pipes. We did not receive a phone call from the complex for the rest of the day and assumed that there were no problems with the garage. When we arrived home we entered our garage to find that a water pipe for the sprinkler system had frozen and burst from the cold weather. The burst water line had partially flooded our garage. our stuff was moved around there was now a hole in the ceiling and wet drywall material on our items. When asked as to why we were never called that our garage was flooding we got a canned reply of "Oh, we are really sorry about that." When your garage is flooding and your personal effects are being damaged that warrants a phone call! Then we asked how long the until the job would be finished in the garage, she replied "It is done." Our response "so you are going to leave the gaping hole in our garage ceiling and sheet-rock material leaning on our stuff?" The question was answered with a lot of back paddling . Management then got involved and informed us that they not aware that our garage was among those affected by the flooding. Our garage was one of over 60 apartment/garages affected. People were put up in hotels because they were unable to stay in their apartments. At this point we were not able to park in our garage due to the on going construction. The renovations have been going on for over two weeks now. The garage is still not completed. They ended up stripping the sheet-rock off 2/3 of the ceiling and replaced it after the areas dried out. Yesterday we were notified that the renovation crew would be entering the garage to hang the new sheet rock. Interested in the progress made on the garage we entered the checked in after work. It was apparent that our items were not handled with great care and the garage door was left UNLOCKED! Because the garage was unusable for parking we parked our first vehicle in front of the garage and our second vehicle wherever parking was available (not in handicapped or visitor parking)We were told that the towing was suspended while they addressed the issues with garages. So, when we had to bring a company vehicle home for the night we were not concerned that the vehicle did not have a parking sticker because "Towing was suspended" per management. Unbeknown to us towing was only suspended for any vehicle WITH a parking sticker, the truck was towed that night. We both lost a total of six hours of work trying to rectify the situation. When we phoned the office once they opened, we got another canned response, "Unfortunately if you did have your parking sticker there is nothing we can do, you will have to pay to have your vehicle released." Tempers flared at that point. The property manager was asked to step in and she corrected the situation. The truck ended up being released without charge and towed back to the complex. There have also been a main water line burst during December that left us with out water. Also, sprinklers going off at 1am causing the smoke alarms to go off as well for no reason. We encounter doors slamming all the time, noise in the hallways due to echos. We are dog lovers but not dog owners right now because it is not fair to the dog to have such limited space and no true yard to run in. One thing I can say is that if we had a dog we would surely pick up its droppings when it goes. There are alot of irresponsible dog owners in this complex that do not clean up after their dogs. Have to be very careful where you step if you wander off the cement sidewalks. Also see lots of dogs that are on the breed restriction list or over the weight limit too. The property manager is the only one that seems to address individuals issues in a timely and courteous manner. Some of the bigger issues are beyond her control. The leasing agents are not so helpful and treat you like you would expect a used car salesman to. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Over RATED and OVER PRICED.

Great place to live!
My husband and I moved here in July 2010. We love it here and we feel safe. I come and go without feeling uneasy and to me that is a great quality when choosing a place to call home. We have a little one and one on the way and I feel like the staff and maintenance crew have done a fantastic job. I've never had a problem with them responding to a phone call or a problem in the apartment. My neighbors across the way are a little noisy every now and then but we live in an apartment so what do you expect? I'm sure we would put up with the same issues if we lived in a home or condo. The parking was an issue for awhile until the office staff started issuing mandatory parking stickers and enforcing the use of one's garage. My only real complaint is that the trash compactor tends to back up because people throw ridiculous things in it. And they also don't know how to operate it as well. However, my husband found out that in a few weeks we will be receiving trash bins and will be having assigned trash pick up(convenient)! Other than that my husband I love our brand new apartment :) not many can say that they live somewhere as nice as here even my brother-in-law who lives in SD, Ca said that our place is awesome!

Ok, come on! All these new reviews are ridiculous, and CLEARLY written by the staff or the management company! Who would call a standard apartment fitness center "epic"? I mean, really?!?! We have lived here 3 years, in 2 different units. This place isn't horrible but it's not great. It's terribly mis-managed. The front office staff are young, rude, and underqualified. Get everything you're told in writing. Typically they won't write down anything, and I've seen them "text" the maintenance man, so good luck believing that a work order will even be done. There are regular power outages, unannounced water outages, and NO ONE seems to pick up after their dogs. There are numerous "Large Breed" dogs which are unleashed. It's the typical crap you deal with at most apartment complexes...but the front office is rude and understaffed (only one girl working the last Saturday, who wouldn't even answer the phone since she was selling an apartment.) Don't bother to leave a message, they will NOT call you back. Oh, yea, parking is STILL and will forever be a problem. There are NUMEROUS lights out throughout the property, and although I've complained numerous times, they are NEVER fixed.

Safe and nice apts
I've lived in other apts in the area and can say that Broadstone surpasses all of them. I like the fact that they are a "Green" built property. If you like a safe and clean place to live I recommend this complex for you.

Masters of Deception.
When my boyfriend and I decided to move in together we needed a place close to the airport since we both work for airlines, one of my coworkers recommended this place to us because he had just moved in and raved about how nice it was, new amenities, and it was true, the complex had just been built and I had even seen it under construction. When we got to see the apartments, we fell in love instantly, it was nice for the price, being able to have such a spacious, new apartment, never lived-in, so close to work, etc. After moving in, things seemed alright, when we first opened our windows, half of them broke, since apparently, they had been done incorrectly and won't stay up at all, the maintenance staff did NOTHING to fix them and they are still broken since it was the contractor's problems and fixing them would mean removing them completely, something they would not be able to do. We did the usual walk around and noted some stuff that was not right, and they did not fix any of it, water stains in the bathroom they just painted over. We were told that we had to get a breed check for our dog because we didn't know exactly what breed she is, and we had to jump through hoops to get her accepted due to "breed restrictions", paying $50 to get a test done on her, then a month later I see a pitbull walking around with his owner... when I complained about the breed restriction they acted as if I were crazy and mean for complaining about someone's pet. There has been a black widow spider on a light fixture in the hallway for 2 and 1/2 months, I have complained consistently as have my neighbors and nothing has been done about her. The parking situation, as can be seen by pretty much every review here, is TERRIBLE! We live on the 3rd floor with no garage and can NEVER find a spot, forget going out on Friday or Saturday night, you might as well stay out and not return because if you come back after 8 pm the parking is gone, even the handicapped spots, and the apartment complex just suggested we park outside on the street or in the hotel across the street from us!!! Several residents, including my boyfriend, got ticketed for parking in the handicapped spot one night when police came through and the complex said it was not their issue because the spots were decided by the city of Fort Worth due to us being declared a "green complex". There's a ton of empty fields all over the complex that do nothing but take up valuable parking space. The trash compactor is always FULL as they have only 1 for the entire complex, and they had promised us when we moved in that there would be a garbage pick up service and that has never come into fruition. Our neighbors listen to loud music, on weekdays, at 2 am and the only way we could resolve the issue was to call the cops on them continuously until they finally stopped as management didn't do anything about and didn't even have record of our countless complaints, I could see "right on it" the persons who answered got after my complaint. This place seemed like heaven on the first day, but it is in fact hell. The staff are lazy and do not do anything they are asked to do, and one of them passed himself off as a manager when he wasn't the day we came in to complain about the ticket. For $1100 a month, this place is not worth the time, we have decided enough is enough, and you will, too. You don't have to trust my review if you don't want to, but I suggested you heed my warning, or... sign the lease and experience it for yourself.

Win/Lose Situation
When I first saw this complex being built, I had the good fortunate to visit their one existing available building, viewed the floor plan, and fell in love. I waited another 8 months until my building was built to move into what I thought was my dream apartment. I searched apartment ratings out of pure curiosity, and was shocked to find this complex had such a low rating. NOISE: I was lucky enough to get a apartment on the end of a building, so I share no walls with anyone, have only garage beneath me, and only one usually quiet neighbor above me. Conversations had be neighbors in the walkways do echo, and you can hear whats being said clearly, but they dont last long. I only ever hear one argument taking place out in the parking lot, and I always hear this same kid crying as its leaving. I assume the parents are seperated. PARKING: There was only one other tenant in my entire building for months when I first moved in, and parking was never a issue, but I am patting myself on the back now for having the good sense to make sure I got a floor plan with a attached garage, and over the months I have seen how bad the parking can get. People who have garages, do not always use them. Tenants who have multiple cars, do not utilize the driveway parking spot behind their garage door, which I can understand if your work schedules differ, it can be a hassle playing musical cars - but in respect to my own neighbors who do not have garages, I keep both my vehicles in 'my area', one in the garage, one behind it in the driveway, and I just use the first available vehicle if I need to go anywhere. I noticed some people using their garages entirely as storage units, and couldn't fit a car in there. A letter went out recently saying they would inspect garages and basically fine anyone they found not using them properly - but I still see the same garages full of pack rat crap. They must like paying fines. DOG PARK: I once thought this was a beautiful convenience. I have a dog, and it was nice to be able to walk across the street and let her run around in a enclosed area and stretch her legs. However, it floods constantly, stagnant water breeds mosquitoes, and my dog ended up with some irritation and infection on her belly and inside her legs from some bacteria in the water that just sits stagnant there. Many tenants do not pick up after their animals, even though there is always a supply of scent-free doggie bags. I now avoid the park mostly, and just walk my dog on the path and carry a dog bag with me in case she goes. I have met many friendly neighbors there, though some people do have some over-aggressive dogs that are not taught any better. I have even seen some breeds out there that are on the apartments Breed Restriction list. STAFF: When I first moved in, the staff was friendly, helpful, and gave off a good vibe that made me want to live here. I wish they had kept those original people. I have never had to go in the office until recently, as I paid my rent online, and called in when I had a garbage disposal issue once, but when I was ready to transfer to a bigger apartment, I found entirely new staff who were rude, impatient, and unwilling to deal with me. Every time I tried to go in the office and pin someone down to sit with me, let me know my options of the coming available units and find one in a good spot, no one would give me the time of day. Their entire body language and tone said " Dear God, get this person away from me." One of the managers there (a skinny girl who ALWAYS has a sour look on her face and slouchy walk that reeks of poor customer-relationship skills), frequently has a habit of looking me up and down when I come in as if my professional business attire offended her. I thought this was a slip up once, but it happened 5 more times and I could no longer write it off as 'this persons having a bad day'. They said there weren't any available, and had no 'wait list', and suggested I call weekly to see if anyone turned in a vacate notice for a bigger unit to become available. After several calls that scripted with ' Who is this? Oh its you? No, nothings available. ' conversations, I just gave up. If they don't want to take the time to deal with me, I wont go out of my way to point out their lack of customer service skills. CRIME: I have not heard of any break ins or robberies. After reading all the other reviews, I'm a little disappointed the management didn't make an effort to send out a notice making its tenants aware of the crime going on in the complex. There was one notice, which referenced complexes in the area, but not specifically ours. I have not yet had any case of robbery, vandalism, or theft, but now that makes me worry. Again though, I have a garage, which I keep my vehicle in at all times and the door closed out of habit. I pray I continue to have no issues. NEIGHBORS: I havent gone out of my way to meet any, but the few that I have met, were friendly and we are on a first-name basis and are cordial when we see each other. CONSTRUCTION: Other then my cabinets falling off on my head due to stripped screws, and having to have them come fix the 2 inch gap of missing weather striping in my front door, despite the fake granite countertop and fake wooden floors, the apartment is very attractive with its brand new appliances, paint and carpet. I am very happy with it, and it is what attracted me to this place to begin with. This certainly is not a 40 year old complex. My electric was high at first, but by the 2nd and 3rd month, it lowered and has never been above $120, and as low as $45 in the winter. My water has never been above $28 for the month. The only thing id complain about is you cant get DSL here with At&t, only Uverse, which is definetly a bit more bite with the extra buck but I have never had issues with service or lost power. I have never had any water issues either. COST: Honestly, for $1070, anyone can get a house with 3 times the square footage, a two car garage, a fenced in backyard, and no neighbor above your head. If you can afford to rent/lease a home, I would suggest that to get the most out of your money. Living here is beautiful and was once peaceful, but now that they are at 98% capacity, they seem to have no time to dedicate to their current tenants and are focused only on keeping apartments occupied. I am still undecided at this time if I will renew my lease or not at the end of the year as I have not had any of the bad experiences anyone else has had...yet.

Parking
I live in Broadstone too....and I've read the reviews and although I haven't had all the other experiences I do know for a fact parking is horrible!!! I have a small vehicle (Toyota) and it doesnt matter if you have a truck or not, its horrible!!! My friends always have to park far too, and all my neighbors have also complained about the parking but the office says nothing we can do basically....It's up to you if you rent here, just know that you will have a hard time finding parking!!! Come through here at night and watch the same cars drive around time and again looking for a parking space!! Seeing is believing, just see for yourself.
