just like my apartment

I must agree with some previous statements about the location, it is wonderful. There is shopping, restaraunts, and other enjoyable things to do just right across the street. I must disagree that the service is bad. I have lived here for over 2 years now and have never had any problems with the service or staff. The only complaint I do have is that the area seems to be fading fast. If you watch the news, there is constant criminal activity in west houston but, this is houston. I dont plan on moving anytime soon and I would definately recommend this community to anyone.

Good Apartment But Very Bad Service

I live in this apartment for 6 months. It is located in a good location. It is convenient. However, service of staff over there is not good at all. When you have something to ask the staff to take care of, just make sure she writes it down and does it correctly. My advice is to take note damages and dirty spots inside the apartment. When you need to return apartment, make sure to walk with the manager. Because they create many reasons to deduct your deposit money.

Just moved in

My husband and I just moved into Milano Apartments from an area apartment community and in comparison, we are so happy to have made the change. <br><br>We've lived in apartment homes for so many years now and know what to expect and what not to expect.<br><br>We can tell that we will be very happy here. Yes you can hear the neighbors sometimes and yes there are some tree roaches on an occasion (this is Houston), but for the most part there isnt anything out of the normal for a nice apartment home.

Love my apartment

My apartment faces a rose garden and I love sitting on my patio reading. It is very quiet. I love my apartment and the staff. All of my complaints and concerns have been dealt with in a professional and friendly manner. I have lived here for 6 months - I don't have bugs, I don't have the problems I have read about and I don't work for Milano. I am just a happy resident who just renewed for another 6 months.

If you aren't going to pay for a garage make sure your car has an alarm. There have been about 8 cars broken into in the last few months. Management says they will put up lights, start neighborhood watches, etc. but have so far nothing has been done. <br><br>I have lived there a year and still the problems I listed when I first moved in haven't been addressed or fixed. <br><br>I don't feel safe when I am there by myself. There have also been apartment burglaries and assults, some in broad daylight. The place looks nice but if you can afford it, move somewhere else.<br><br>The apartments are nice sized and it's great having your own washer and dryer. Not very much room to play with the dog outside.

nice thus far

Boy, this site is enough to scare you away (and it almost did), but we chose to move here anyways. We've only lived here about 3 months but it's been just fine so far. We recommend this complex.

They are cool.....

I have lived there for a year. I have had only small problems with things, such as problems with water pressure,pipe noise, and small bugs... <br>They are a lil pricey, but its worth it (to me). I take care of my business so i dont have to deal with management (not saying that they are bad....) It was a nice experience. Quiet, clean, well kept grounds. WONDERFUL<br><br>Just keep the "------" folks OUT and u will be fine! <br>PS - this is not a manager!!!!!<br>AKA= Amy

Very inadequate apartment complex

Noise outside and noise from internal plumbing is a nightmare. ventilation is bad; carpet is cheap and padding is way too thin; I had ants and roaches from day one; my apt. had a strong cigarette smoke odor that I could not get rid of; trash is allowed to sit out on front lawn on trash pick up days, which is UNSIGHTLY, SMELLS, and embarrassing for guests to see. Leasing staff is average to below averageg; I would NOT recommend Milano apartments to anyone.

How Sad

If anyone reads these reviews, most of them are from the management just to raise their rate! How sad is that?!? If you take off all the managments reviews they would have a score in the 30's!

Christmas Gathering

Parking isnt so great but...

I feel a bit frustrated because parking can be tight, it seems too many people have too many guests. On the other hand the grounds are well kept and the maintenance has always been prompt on my requests. The leasing office staff has always been nice but professional, I noticed some of the other reviews state unprofessionalism amongst the office, but I have never seen or heard anything of the sort. Other than the parking, I would recommend these apartment homes.

Unbelievably bad service!!

Don't rent here if you have another choice. I lived there for six months, and left as soon as I could. Admittedly, the area is nice...but the staff working the office is horrible (they CONSTANTLY screwed up my rent payments by claiming they were late when one of their employees FORGOT to enter them into the computer), and they will screw you on your deposit when you leave. Plus, they never fix the lights (even when you ask them to) so it's dark in the parking lot at night - not safe.

Not Happy

I have lived here for two years and have seen a dramatic decline in these apartments. I will agree with someone else who wrote a review, that they are not very selective about who they rent to here. It is not worth the high rent I am paying and I know for a fact that they are renting to people for alot less than I am paying. Another problem is the trash. Trash pick up is 3 days a week and people put trash outside all the time. This is a health hazard.

Milano to the Rescue

My family and I are victims of Katrina. We found Milano and fell in love with the complex. The office staff was so warm and welcoming that it made it easy to move our home from New Orleans to Houston. We highly recommend Milano for a number of reasons.

not what you pay for

I lived in these apartments and yes previous reviewers are correct they are extremly nice when you go but once you move in everything is diffrent. We were paying 995.00 for a 2/2 the paint was peeling off the walls it took them a month and a half to fix a ceiling fan that went out the water pressure was terrible and they tell you it's to conserve water for a water bill that you pay we end up having to break our lease found a apartment for less and twice the size anyone looking into these apartments please do not be fooled.

Ridiculous

Do not bother stopping in to check out the Milano Apartments. It has been nothing but a headache since we moved in. First, after paying our deposit, we found out that the staff had canceled our apartment and leased it to someone else. Fortunately they had another available. Sometime after we moved in, we asked to see our lease, and the staff could not find it, however, eventually it turned up. The staff is completely unprofessional and speak to you as if you are a small child, or their personal friend. I'm sorry, but if you're paying several hundreds of dollars a month, I would think that you should be addressed as sir or ma'am, not 'hun. Also, don't have any packages shipped that won't fit in your mail box, because the staff gets flustered trying to find it. All of the soda machines on the complex were broken into. The printers in the computer room have never worked. We have been lucky when it comes to repairs, being that we have needed few. Our friends had to have the maintainance crew fix their disposal twice b/c the first time it wasn't fixed. Their a/c was out for several days. We did have a leak from our window that required us to contact the staff twice, b/c noone came to fix it the first time. All in all, you pay alot to get very little. I can't wait for my lease to be up.

Hard to satisfy, but Milano has suceeded

I work in a very high stressful career and tend to take out my frustrations on others at the end of the day. I have to say I have not been the most desirable resident to cater to, but Leslie and her staff have done a remarkable job! I admire her honesty and heartfelt concerns - as well as her ability to stand up for her staff and company when she sees fit. My lease will end next month, but I have signed a new one - for 12 months. If you want a nice place to call home, and strong people to take care of it for you - then lease at The Milano.<br><br>Mike

Message from the Non------- Rat Association

I find it humerous that anyone could take these complaints so seriously. This site mostly provides a hiding place for those to vent who are not happy with their own lives.<br><br>I was informed of this site, by the office staff, after sending a thank you card for their generous help during my move. Although these girls should not take any of these comments to heart, I can understand how some of these hateful words can be hard to ignore. <br><br>I would like to say that this has been the easiest move ever. Leslie the Manager, the other girls and the maintenance staff have gone way beyond the call of duty to help assist me and my family.<br><br>Again, I can only laugh when I read some of these immature insults and I hope the people who work at Milano can do the same. Absurd!!

It is quite clear that the office is writing certain reviews on here. The pattern of incorrect spelling, improper grammer and general lower class language points directly to them. Of course, since they let anything in now, it could be any number of exotic dancers(my downstairs neighbor), a transexual hooker(recently moved in) or perhaps just your run of the mill sex offender that is creepy and hangs around since they do not work. I will tell you, that dude can party! Many nights, the courtyards are packed with his people hanging out of their windows and blasting gangster rap out of boomboxes. It is truly a sight to behold. I would highly recommend the garages! I bought a new BMW before moving into the ------ and have not only had all 4 wheels stolen off of it, but woke up on a Saturday morning to find the drivers door had been pryed open with a crowbar! I promptly called the police and went to the office to get a garage. The girl could not figure out if any garages were available. It took 3 weeks for them to finally find me one. The good news is that it took 8 months for them to figure out that they had not billed me for it!! I love that aspect of the incompetent staff. The fitness center and computer room are a joke and am ashamed when one of my friends find's out I live at Milano. I am still shocked that I made a rash decision and went against all good sense and chose to live at this slum. I am seriously just waiting to have to wade through sewage to get to my car or walk across a dead body due to a drug deal gone bad in the parking lot. Afterall, this is "the hood" when darkness comes. All the neighbors I kind of liked and/or tolerated have since moved out to go to other apartment complexes. I now have like I said earlier, a dancer that lives below me, and across from me is a mentally handicapped person that starts yelling at things at any part of the day or night. He somehow opened the balcony door and started yelling at voices I would assume for over 3 hours a neighbor told me. I left on hour 1 since I was afraid of the loon. In closing, it is ------. I mean, really ------. The underbelly of society move's in since they do not get approved at decent places and the few remaining good people suffer and feel at times that they live in a mental ward/goverment housing. I implore you to do your homework and drive through the gates. You will find kids just everywhere and loads of 1970's automobiles with spinning ------ wheels. If you are lucky, this woman has a hatchback that is missing a door! It is a must see. If you are brave/have a death wish, drive through when it gets dark. Just don't say that you were not warned.
