this is the greatest place ever.
I tell you, i really love this place and the people. It's like a little world away from reality. Everyone know each other, every one is so nice to each other here. I really think that it has too do with the staff we have in the office. We just got two new leasing agents. They are great they make you feel like your family and not residents. I mean like my mom got real sick and was in the hospital and i had just gotten in to an accident two weeks befor, so i had no car. Well, I asked one of the leaseing girls in the office to call me cab to go see my mom. Well insted of calling a cab she drove me her self. I mean where are you going to go to get treated better than that? The office is always happy and willing to help in anything. I recomend this place to everyone.

Single women-- LOOK ELSEWHERE!
I have lived in the Milano Apartments for almost three years as they have done a steady decline. Safety is the main issue I have with the complex-- in three years security codes have never been updated, the complex is poorly lit, in fact there were no hallway lights what so ever for a period of three days making the outside hallways and stairwells a pitch black tunnel. Management has always been cordial, but too often throw up their hands in an "I don't know what to do!" attitude towards concerns. Basically, I look forward to move out day. Renters beware-- I would look elsewhere.

I love this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's really funny that the managment for this property takes this web site very seriously. when we complained about the staff and they replaced the whole staff. the new staff is great. they are the nicest people i have ever meet. I hate the fact that i bought a house, and that i wont have them to do everything for me. If your looking for the perfect place to live, it's here. I would recomend this property to everyone who wants to live with no worries.

THIS PLACE IS REALLY LUXURY
I really want to start off by saying that I am so happy with the work that Adriana at the leasing office has given us. She has gone beyond the call of duty to make sure our move from Kansas City goes well. She picked us a great apartment. And not only that but she has never been fake or rude. She has been the best leasing agent ive ever meet. She is so real and sweet. But when I moved in we didnt have a phone and she ran thru the rain to bring a phone to speak to my wife. She didnt have to do that but that had to be the nicest thing anyone has ever done, that didnt have too. this place is amazing and this office is great. hey if you have the money you can live like your rich.

It's not that bad!
I moved in despite of the bad reviews and I do not regret it. I thought the parking would be terrible, but fortunately I always mananage to get a spot right infront of my apt- so I always feel safe. Management is great, they have always been kind to me. The maintenance guys are also very polite. My only complaint is that I had a faulty air conditioner that constantly leaked. I have lived in many apartments, and although it's not perfect, it's probably the best.

Awful Management = Awful Tenants
I would completely agree with everyone disliking this place! I've been living here for three years and have seen it slowly deteriorating. Basically, the place is becoming a ------ - at every level. This means that the qualities of tenants who use to be professionals are now being replaced by urban trash. I hear load music at all hours of the day now; from cars passing through (OPEN gates) or just from someone else's apt. Come on, who really wants to hear -----'s and ho's at 3am on a Tuesday morning or anytime if that matters?! Not only the music is getting loud, even the conversations. People are just out there hanging about talking loudly with no considerations what-so-ever. In addition to the noises, there are trashes everywhere - empty beer cans and cigarette butts all around. I have taken many of these things up to management multiple times but as one expected - they just turn a deaf ear.

Luckily, I will be moving soon.

Oh, did I forget to tell you about the rules of breaking a lease? Take it from my experience, I just purchase a house and wanted to move out 1 month prior to the end of my lease. Though there are no laws preventing Milano from doing so, most apartments will work with you knowing that your reason to move is a purchased house and not because you are moving to a new apt. However, you can forget about Milano! They don't give a rat's ---. They will make you pay the full rent until the end of your lease. They will also add-on $$ for breaking the lease and on top of that penalize you for a certain $$ amount until they can find someone to rent your unit. (*If you want a good laugh, please call for details yourself)

So, please heed the warnings before renting from this god awful ---- hole.

I guess we should have read the fine prints before renting:

*Government housing Available
These reviews saved me!
I am thankful to this website for sharing honest reviews instead of the fluff on the apartment management websites. I went to Milano to look a couple of months ago and the office people were trying too hard to be nice and you can tell when you sign up for the apartment, their attitudes will change. I noticed when I toured the property that things are run down like so many other reviews say. The leasing girl was nice enough and tried to convince me that things are great at Milano. If things are so great, why are there so many bad reviews by people that are ready to leave? I cannot speak of the previous staff that people speak of but it seems that from other reviews that the office does not have their stuff together and that can definitely sour a living experience. The apartment I toured was in my opinion completely overboard with inexpensive looking tacky furnishings that I assume is meant to hide the cheap and run down interiors of the apartments. If for some reason you choose to look here, notice that the appliances are very dated along with the mirrors in the kitchen. The only other bad thing I noticed actually was the outside of the apartment buildings are horribly messy, smelly, and stained. When I brought this to the attention of the leasing girl, she said that this is already scheduled to be done. Hopefully things look better outside by now. In apartments, it is really buyer beware. If they would put a little money into them and bring them up to date, they might be competative with the area. But in my opinion, I agree with all the previous reviews that this is a dated and dirty complex with rude office help.

We see a big diffrence with the new manager!!!!!
I am very sad to see all these bad reviews! My family has called Milano our home for the past 4 years. I feel that this is a wonderful place to call home and to raise my family. We have seen great improvements with the new manager and we seem to like her warm smile and attitude.

Thanks,
happy tenant

Hate the Management
I agree with my previous neighbors, the management is awful! They never, never, never call you back after leaving message after message. I also am not impressed with the "renovations" they have made e.g.the outside painting. What was frustrating was that they actually thought it was a good idea to have your door open for over two hours while it dried while a member of the staff would stand in the hallway. It is crazy! I moved this past weekend and am glad to be out of there!

I agree that the management is aweful now
I agree with the previous posting! Nothing works in the fitness center and the business center is a joke! It is a shame and a disgrace because when I moved in 2 years ago, things were much much better. I have also recieved a notice to move in 3 days even after my check cleared the bank!! The girl in the office actually argued with me until I came in with the documentation that it indeed cleared. To say I was offended was an understatement. It shows me what trash they bring in to run the office. I do not even try to call the office anymore because during the day, nobody will even answer the phone. If you are lucky enough to get someone, they rush you off the phone because they are only interested in getting new people to move in to this slum. All of my neighbors that I have talked to are ready to move as soon as possible. It is beyond me how this place could have gotten this bad within the last few months. I have heard that the new people that move in do not have any background check done because their are so many empty apartments that they need to fill. I can only image how many people with felonies are living around me. That explains why there is pure trash roaming the grounds during the day. It seems to me at times that I live in goverment assisted housing. I hope that you will not make the mistake I made by moving here. There are SO MANY better places to live in West Houston.

Can't wait to MOVE out.
The Milano Apartments have poor management. The rent is a premium for what the tenant gets. Grills don't work. Exercise equipment is broken. You call and are promised follow-up and the call back never comes.

I cannot wait to move out. After paying my rent on time today I received a notice to vacate? I am so offended. After 3 years of loyalty they treat long-time tenants with no regard whatsoever.

Now It's A Resort
I moved into the Milano last year, and had regrets concerning the staff until the new office staff came in. My neighbors and I talk often and we joke about it now being a beautiful resort!!!! We appreciate everything they are doing and are proud when our friends and family come over.

It surprises me that the someone would write such a review as on 9/17 because I have had a wonderful experience at Milano not only with my neighbors, but with the staff, as well. Leslie, the new manager has been a joy to deal with, as have the other girls in the office. I will continue to recommend Milano to friends and coworkers.

Shoddy apartments and horrid management!!
I have lived at Milano since 2000 and while it is better than some apartments, it is nothing special by any means. While I have never really delt with management in my time here(which I see as a good thing), I always paid my rent and for the longest time I saw the same staff and while I did not adore Frannie like many of my neighbors, she was always helpful and would accomidate me as she could. Well, Tipton Group saw fit to bring in a new manager with blonde straw like hair. She is totally snobby and always unhelpful. I am also ready to bid her new staff farewell also. When you put a ticket in for work in your apartment, it takes 5-7 times for the maintance people to get it. I also know for a fact that Ernesto is an amazing maintance person and it has to be that the staff is not giving him the tickets. Lastly, the general attitude of the office is very defensive and they are generally a huge pain to deal with. I can finally understand the 4-5 people moving out every weekend. What I do not understand is that while the paint is peeling off and the landscaping is untouched for weeks at a time, how they find people to move in. I looked down the street and found lower rent and a friendly staff of workers!!

Feels like home
Certainly the best place I lived in (out of 5 all over the US). There was a bad thing - garbage collectors for the restraunts nearby were coming like 3 a.m. waking me up. Fortunately, they have changed the schedule. Watch out for A/C outside - they can be pretty loud. I have had some problems with the neighbour upstairs having a party mid-week at 1 a.m. One call to Milano's nightly answering service cooled them down. Have to admit that gates do get broken and stay that way for the whole night (pretty rare case though).

Westchase´s best keep secret
I love it here. I have a 2 bedroom apt. I have just renewed for another year. This is quiet, clean, nice landscaping. Terrific maintence service. Attentive leasing staff. Great neighbors. parking can be a bit dicey after 8pm. All is lit well, though. People look out for one another here. Beautiful, crystal clean pool. Nice park like arbors to chill out in. Hey, we have a nice putting green too. I can paint my walls here if I want. This is the most satisfied apartment living I have ever experienced. I like the fact that the gates work 95% of the time and when there is a malfunction they jump on it. This place also boasts three courtesy officers (only needed once superbowl party til 4am, neighbor felt terrible and apologized and sent flowers) unreal I know, but very, very true. I am a very satisfied renter. We do not have any of the problems that seem to affect the other "Westchase" apartments. I feel bad for my friends that live at the other places. They are slowly seeing the error of their ways. Great quality for a good price Thank you to my milano community.

Dear Fran (manager)
Have visited your complex and admired its looks and had basically a positive impression of it. Am looking for an apartment now.

However, am very concerned that you felt the need to respond so aggressively to a single negative posting amid other glowing reviews. That posting only reflected negatively on you - not the rest of your management group.

Hmmmmm. . . . Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. Perhaps there is truth in the writer´s opinion of your witchiness.

Further, it makes me concerned a bout choosing Milano if I would have your apparently cranky self to contend with.

Believe a bit of introspection is in order for you Miss Fran. Your ego is definitely overriding your judgment.

the best I´ve lived at.....
Great staff, great maintence, great grounds, great pool, great, friendly neighbors. parking at little dicey. secure mail facility. very clean. no bugs. Nice constuction. Very quiet. My son actually sleeps at night. The maintence staff helped with safety items for our young son. No secuirity problems experienced. Gates always work. THe grounds are beautiful. This is the best place I have live at in Texas, since 1992. They understand the ideal of luxury living and I always feel like I am at a resort. plus it is less expensive than other luxury apartments with better quality.

very nice
I have had a few minor problems, ie... water heater, etc... Maint. will show up any time of the day or night from my experience. They leave notes, thanked us for our hospitality, were clean and professional... left me shocked to say the least.
I have never really "liked" any complex I´ve lived at. This one is simply amazing. The office staff is beyond compare, and wandering around the facility is a hobby for many of us who live here. It´s so beautiful you won´t believe it!
