I love living at the Aspen. It is generally a quiet, friendly, respectful community and the management is always available and responsive. They are very professional, courteous, considerate, and go out of their way to be helpful and to immediately attend to any issues that are brought to their attention.

I like the sense of community, the friendly staff, the prompt response to maintenance issues, the amenities, the location and the opportunity to meet pets and neighbors every day! The shuttle to the metro is a great plus.

Nice quite place. Staff is friendly and helpful, so are residents. The Aspen is a great place for me, close enough to "city" for work and utility, but far enough away that it's quite and I can enjoy the sunset from my balcony. Also, The Aspen is great for the budget!

The Aspen Apartments are beautiful. They have modern kitchens and nice large spaces. The staff was absolutely amazing!! Nora Nelson (Leasing Consultant) took her time with our tour and explained everything to me in great detail! She was very nice and answered all of my questions. Thank you, Nora!!

Great community in general. I value quiet and peaceful living. Occasional dog parking, but not a huge problem. Had a neighbor who'd party on the balcony into the wee hours--loud music and drunken laughter. Thankfully that person moved away after a lot of complaints from different neighbors..

I think the apartments a quiet, the maintenance staff is extremely prompt, usually anything that needs fixing gets fixed within 24 hrs. The concierge is friendly. The parking is included and even though there are not washer in unit there are 3 on each floor and they are very reasonably priced and new so your clothes don't get destroyed.

Apartments are a great size and the large windows are what sold me. Building and amenities are well maintained. The shuttle to the Metro is a great resource, but does not run on weekends. I have enjoyed living here

I was interested in the available studio and have not made my decision yet! However, had a great experience with Nora, the professional nice lady who showed me around. She really took her time to show and explain every single detail about the buliding to me. I wish I could take her with me to help me with other apartments where their rude and clueless staff don't even have manner to at least greet you because I believe the first impression is everything. I m not sure if I ll be one of the residents, but so far I m sure I dislike their flat utilities policy!

The place is great and affordable for the location and size. The leasing office isn't run well or professionally. They're pretty clueless and have rookies showing places and miscommunication is the norm.

I have been living at The Aspen for almost 6 months now, and so far I have no complaints. The complex is clean and quiet, concierges and management are professional, I have no complaints. There are security cameras, which the concierges can review live, the parking lot is well lit, and the neighborhood is safe. There are also a variety of grocery stores and entertainment places in the vicinity.

This is my second time staying at The Aspen. Overall for the area, it is a good value, in a safe location, and close to many fun things to do, such as Del Ray and Old Town. The shuttle is a great convenience, though it should leave on time instead of waiting for late riders, as this can make everyone else late to the metro and subsequently late for work. If I stay in the area I may continue on at the Aspen or find a rental in a single family home for a better price. I recommend the apartments overall.

The apartment was great my first year. At first I thought the new management company was doing a great job, but recently amenities have been going down and customer service hasn't been as great. All of a sudden they stopped offering to stow food deliveries in the fridge in the package room so you have to pick them up as soon as they're delivered otherwise they'll just sit out and spoil. A couple weeks ago, they decided to stop staffing the concierge/security desk 24/7 and not only staff it 7am-11pm, the cost savings of that position were not passed onto residents. They also recently completed some routine maintenance that required the electricity to be shut off for an extended period. It was originally scheduled for one date and canceled the night before. They rescheduled it for a new date, but never updated the residents. Therefore, it came as a complete surprise. Many residents were literally left in the dark as it went on for hours, unable to work from home, or make alternate plans as we were not properly notified.

Great building with up to date amenities. Offers both a gym and computer center as well as an outdoor pool. Staff are very friendly and quick to answer/help any questions or issues. Management is also very quick to notify residence of any work or issues in regards to the building.

I love the Aspen. All of the staff is helpful and friendly. Work gets done quickly and they always tell you when power shut-offs or other maintenance work is being done in multiple ways. This is very helpful for people on the go.

My overall experience has been positive. The biggest exception is the periodic backing up and flooding of my kitchen sinks drain, which causes flooding in my kitchen. Otherwise it has been as good as I've experienced at other apartment buildings where I have lived.

It is OK, but very quickly becoming overpriced for what is offered compared to other buildings in the area. My rent was raised significantly higher than the average cost of living this year, and I was given no opportunity whatsoever to negotiate. Expect broken plumbing, fire alarms at all hours of the night, and poor communication from management. Despite the price increase, they just reduced front desk staffing and removed overnight lock-out service. It will likely not be much longer before I decide it is no longer worth it to live at this property.

Lived here since 2014. Concierge, maintenance, office staff all responsive and friendly. Great pool in the summertime. Parking lots well lit. Never seen a roach or vermin and grounds are lovely. Unfortunately became a dog community so way too many dogs that s/b kept to certain floors. Also unfortunate number of fire alarms; since I moved in, probably 20. Yes, 20!

Over all I do not have a good experience since one year when new management took over to run this building. Poor communication and coordination with me. Gave me incorrect information. I can not plan living while living here. They don't care. They are not capable of running the service smoothly. You have to chase for work in the unit. Kitchen is old and have moulds around the sink. Management is rude. Not worth paying so much for bad service. The building manger dictates residents and completely unprofessional.

Love the Balcony and Location ... Absolutely hate the Parking situation! The security gates have not worked in the 3 years I e lived here. Random unstickered and abandoned vehicles continue to take up valuable residential parking spaces! Start enforcing the Aspen Tow policy's!

New management is doing great job. Keep up the good work. Guys are always prompt, courteous, and do outstanding work. I feel ew management has an open door policy that I really like. I feel I can comfortably go into management's office and discuss any issues that may come up. People in this community have always been very friendly and caring.

Older building with dated interiors for lower rent (remodeled units are available for more money). There are cockroaches even on the 9th floor and residents periodically set off the fire alarm due to burning food even at midnight.

This is the worst place I have ever lived, and I have never been so thankful in my life for a lease to end. It has been a complete waste of my money living here. The property manager is completely insincere, sarcastic, and unhelpful. The "concierge" leave the desk unstaffed at night halfway do their job or refuse outright to do it. I have dealt with pests, water temperature issues, rude staff, poor maintenace, a crappy apartment that I wasn't even supposed to live in because the leasing agent told me I would be in a different one, the list goes on. My friend who lives in Boston compared Van Metre to companies who manage properties in Southie.
