Beautiful Apartment, Great Community, Wonderful Staff

We’ve lived here for 3 years and have enjoyed every moment. The apartments are well kept and conveniently located near DC. The staff and maintenance workers, especially David, are always extremely kind and helpful. It’s also a really nice community to live in with the warmest neighbors.

Great Admin & Maintenance Support

I've been here for five years and have always had great responses from the front office staff and maintenance. I would like to call out David from the maintenance team today. Every time I see him working, he is doing it with his best efforts and always willing to help. He is a great asset to the Aspen Team!

Amazing Community

Best community I ever lived in. Not just because of the amenities it has to offer but because of the best on -time maintenance as well as management. Earl, he is one of the best managers we delt with. I referred this community to my family friends, and Earl helped them lease. We had some pipeline leak few days ago but it was fixed within hours. Unlike other communities, where we waited for days. It has amazing park nearby for my toddler. It's very safe, family oriented place !

Honestly if you live in the Del Ray area, you cannot beat the Aspen. The views are phenomenal for the pricing. The building has upgraded the amenities and the staff in the leasing office is always on top of things. Maintenance is top notch. You will not regret renting here! Thanks for all of your hard work.

Nice place, friendly staff

While I am still deciding on whether or not to move to be closer to my work, I was extremely impressed by your staff member that helped me. Earl was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He gave me a thorough tour of the property and answered all my questions. I appreciated the fact that he was patient and helpful but wasn’t pushy like the staff at other properties. I have a few more properties to look at but right now the Aspen is high on my list.

Friendly and Great Deal

I've lived at The Aspen almost 2 years. This is a fantastic building in a quiet neighborhood. The tenants are friendly. Being pet friendly is a bonus and the dogs are nice. I've had zero issues with moving in and getting settled. The office staff is friendly and informative of things coming up; especially shoutout to Earl Feaganes in the leasing office being friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The amenities are great and adequate. Best bang for your buck with parking included, the apartment size, location, shuttle, amenities, etc. I recommend The Aspen to anyone in their search.

Nice place to call home

We moved in right before the lockdown in 2020, and it turned out to be a lucky decision. Our fifth-floor, two bedroom apartment has a really nice northern view (Washington Monument, Capitol dome, Airforce memorial - all visible) and, even though we don't get direct sunlight, the big windows still make it so that we rarely use artificial lighting during the day. The building is definitely older and has its quirks, but maintenance requests are usually responded to in a timely fashion. Aleksandra, in the front office, has been our go-to-person since the beginning, as she is kind, quick, and accommodating. As long as we live in northern Virginia, I'm guessing this is where you'll find us. * PROs: unbeatable cost for the area, don't have to pay for parking, nice views, shuttle to metro is reliable, super-easy access to DCA, pet friendly * CONs: roaches (in the trash rooms) seem to be a perennial issue, front desk coverage can be spotty at times, no in-unit laundry

You will be satisfied with apartments and service

To move into Aspen Apartments was a good design. First of all I am satisfied with service. Alexandra Carteau is a professional who will assist you in every question quickly and with a high quality. Apartments by itself are nice and clean. They always upgrade it adding something new in order to make your living here as much good as possible! I love it and going to extand my rent agreement.

Great apartment home

I lived at The Aspen for six years and only left to move into a house. My apartment was more spacious than any I saw in the same price range. It had fantastic views, maintenance was top notch, and the staff (Earl and Aleksandra especially) very helpful. I could walk to Old Town, be part of the Del Ray community, and be close to DC. The daily shuttle to the metro was also super convenient. I will miss living there and highly recommend it for anyone looking for an apartment home in Alexandria.

Great Community in a heart of Del Ray

The Aspen is an amazing community to live in. Great amenities, attentive and quick responsive management. The location is perfect, very nice and quiet neighborhood yet with a short driving distance to DC, Arlington and Old Town of Alexandria.

Great place to live

I have been living at The Aspen for almost 2 months now and absolutely love it! I have had no maintenance issues at all, and the staff are all very nice and helpful. Parking is also always easy to find, even if you come back after midnight. It's a respectful community - never had any problems with noisy neighbors. Lots of animals in the building! Very pet friendly. Everything is well maintained and the lobby is always clean - it even has free tea and coffee! The apartment is also situated in the middle of a 'townhouse neighborhood' perfect for taking walks, and close proximity to Giant, Target, and coffee shops. This is the best apartment I have lived in in the DMV area in my 7 years being here!

Affordable, great location

I’ve been living here for about a 1 1/2 now, great location and affordable. My apartment overlooks the national harbor and friendly neighbors. My commute to work is little to nothing and the best thing is if there’s anything that is needed to be done maintenance is on it.

My wife and I visited the building back in July. Lia gave us an excellent tour and details of what to expect. While applying, we ran into some issues, but she was swift in helping us resolve them. Being that we moved all the way from Louisiana to here, we were a bit nervous about finding the right place to live. I can honestly say that I’m glad we chose the Aspen.

I moved back to the Aspen Apartments after staying here a few years ago because my first experience was a good one BUT as the saying goes “lighting doesn’t strike the same location twice” I have been reminded of this fact for the past several months with the noise issues such as my neighbor moving items in his apartment late at night or extremely early in the morning and to top it off there is also a smoking issue from cigarettes around my apartment as well. The front office staff is very friendly and communication is good. However I have decided to write a review instead of sending them another email. It’s after 10pm when I drafted this review and as I type I can currently smell cigarette smoke in my apartment and hear the neighbors hitting something with a hammer which is very loud and happens often. I have decided not to send the front office another email because no matter how many times they have spoken with the neighbor next to me who seems to never sleep he is either knocking things against the walls, slamming drawers/cabinets, having mini frat parties at which he leaves his door open so the noise is even louder or the base of his television is always being heard. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to recommend anyone to this apartment because if I am having these issues I wouldn’t want to put someone else in this same situation.

Living here for 10 users, I find the staff to be very attentive. Aleksandra and Earl are exceptional and have always been able to assist me in an expedient fashion. I never have to worry . mMyquestions are answered in a straight manner, I'm kept current on all social events as well as maintenance issues. They are a big reason why remain at The Aspen.

We have been living in Aspen since November 2015. It's been great place for us. I like the location very much. I love my view - we are on the 15th floor. Love having the option to walk to Del Ray area, coffee shops and restaurants around. Aspen is close to several parks and trails including Mount Vernon Trail and Four Mile Run that makes it easier to exercise outside. The Aspen team are always welcoming and helpful. The Maintenance Team are quick and professional. We have recently transferred to a different apartment within the building and Aleksandra Carteau from the leasing office has been awesome during our transfer. She did go above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The Aspen team follows CDC guidance in the building. They communicate with residents very effectively to ensure things run smoothly in the building. They did such a great job securing life guard for the pool. I am so happy that our kids were able to enjoy the pool whole summer!

In my short time so far, Lia and Earl have been great! Nice community, fairly quiet, solid AC. Building is being updated. Gym, business center are well equipped. Make sure you get month to month Starry internet (coming late Sep) - don't let Xfinity lock you in for 2 years at a higher monthly rate to boot.

Aleksandra & Earl have made the move-in process very easy. As a team, they are friendly, professional, and dedicated to fulfill my needs and expectations. As a resident, I could not be happier as the Aspen is the perfect location to reside, close to the highway and close to the stores you need. Earl and Aleksandra are very caring and understanding, which shows in the way they follow up through in-person or email. If you are not sure whether you should move here or not, give the office a call or walk into the office. After talking to Aleksandra & Earl, you will have no further doubt.

I cannot think of a safer and more caring place to live than The Aspen. I am a single mother my only biological son went to visit friends in VA and fell in love with the state. He decided to stay. My heart was filled with worry since this would be his 1st time out on his own. He asked for me to help him look for a place and of course I would have to cosign for the apt. until he found a job and got settled. I began working with Aleksandra Carteau who was absolutely A God sent! She walked us through the whole process while trying to keep me calm about the distance since I live in CT. I had sooo many questions and concerns, anytime of the day this woman answered everyone. She has an unspeakable amount of patience and professionalism. The Aspen and Aleksandra was a God sent to my son and I. He loves it there!! If you are looking for a place especially if it is your first place. Hopefully, The Aspen will be a blessing to you as well. Also, if you get to work with Aleksandra consider yourself double blessed

I was looking for an apartment, had a lot of anxiety as I have recently moved to the US. When we came to the Aspen, Aleksandra gave us the tour of the facilities, everything looked great, the apartament is gorgeous, plenty of daylight and spacious. The application process went really smooth and it was extremely efficient we were approved in 24 hrs, which was crucial, otherwise my hotel bill would’ve gone sky high. Finding someone like Aleksandra who was so professional and patient enough to kindly guide me through the process in a system/country that is completely new to me was such a relief. I really appreciate all the help and expedited service that we’ve received since day 1.

I cannot say enough good things about the maintenance team here. Incredible service, quick response time, and the nicest guys! The hallways are very well lit and the common areas (laundry, trash room, lobby, gym, etc.) are always clean and well kept. I’ve really enjoyed the package service. Don’t have to worry about packages being taken from your front door.
