Time to Move on
I am a former tenant of CCT and I can tell you from a few years experience that I wish I hadn't moved in this place. The construction of the building itself isn't that bad, grounds are kept decent, the pool is nice, and the people that live here are decent, mostly friendly individuals. All of these things don't mean jack crap if the people managing the place are poor, and poor is a generous word given the fact that the manager of the entire place is LAZY AS HELL. I would recommend looking right across the street at the newer apartment buildings.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! If I would have read the ratings on this site before i moved here i would have changed my mind QUICKLY.Oh well, cant cry over spilled milk , like they say... Anyway, there are too many minuses and i agree with everyone about the POOR management , its not the fact that they dont give a damn! THEY ARE NEVER THERE IN THERE OFFICE! I saw one of them sleeping in her car in the parking garage for HOURS!!!!!!! what gives!!!!! and the elevator always smells terrible , same with the gym on the paring level SMELLS LIKE ---!!!!! and finally.... the head manager is so disrespectful..Country Club Towers does not deserve even a half a star

I love it or leave it!
CCT has had its ups and downs. I personally have had a great experience here with no problems from the staff at all. before moving here, I read all the reviews listed here and none of them said that it was dirty, had roaches or mice so I began to think, is the ratings so low because these people cant get their way? Your opinion is your opinion but dont write a review because you were late on your rent and is pissed off with the staff or they busted you on something! Get yourself together and stop venting on the internet! Lets talk about how clean this place is and roach free, also how the maintenance staff gets your request done within 24 hrs. Instead you want to talk about the staff being overweight and bipolar? What has your role in the situation? I have been a resident here for almost 10yrs and that in it self should say alot.In all, every apt building has it ups and downs as far as plumbing and so forth has has to maintain the plumbing ( water shut offs) but if you are having such a problem then why are you renting? Not only that but they give you plenty of notice about EVERYTHING and in writing under your door.

Miserable Management
There seems to be an issue with the overweight woman on the management team. I'm guessing she is bipolar or has some real mental issues that need to be addressed.

Farwell CCT!
I loved my studio Apt. the only reason im moving is because the rent hike. I live in a studio apt on the 6th floor. I have no idea what construction people are talking about but at the same time I am out of my house from 7a to 6p. The management staff are not the most welcoming people you have ever met but what management staff is? The apartment itself was is quiet and clean, keep in mind it is an old building so things happen however the problem is fixed quickly. I have seen not one bug (knock on wood) since Ive been here. I will be writing a follow up once i move at the end of Jan becasue I have heard there were some move out issues. Wish me luck!!! Farewell CCT you have been good to me. PS parking for vistor's ksucks because there is no space but i have never had a problem with parking no matter what time I got in.

"Construction Zone Towers"
If you don't mind living in a construction zone, this is the place for you. Management = semi---------, guy at front desk seems to conveniently "lose" packages, water is turned off completely at least three to four times monthly, air conditioner occasionally stops working, walls are thin making it difficult to sleep at night, construction begins at six AM every morning across the street and ends at 5:30 every night (MON-FRI), absolutely NO rent breaks, and I'm sure this list will grow. There is a least one friendly member of the management team.

Utter lack of professionalism
My experience with the leasing staff at CC is a bad one. I called in an hour earlier to get an appointment at 5.15 PM. I arrived exactly at 5.15; only to be asked to wait by the attendant in the lobby because the leasing agent was already 'showing someone around'. I waited for 30 minutes; and finally when she showed up; she said it would take another '15 minutes'. This was at 5.35 PM. At 6, she comes in and hands me a list of available apartments, and then disappears again. I wait until 6.15 PM, with just an information brochure, and no tour, no further information. After waiting for an hour PAST my appointment time; and with no more information than a plain brochure, I decided to leave. I would never bother again with a community with staff that does not respect people's time.

Not a bad "starter apartment"
Depending upon your price range, as well as commuting back and forth, you'll probably find this place comfortable, especially if you're relatively new to renting. I haven't had any problems as of yet (knock on wood). Management seems friendly - I haven't had any complaints so far. The only thing that somewhat annoys me is the noise coming from the elevator. I am no where near the elevator, yet I can hear a humming sound everytime the elevator is in use - yes, sounds somewhat not that important, but it becomes annoying at times. Overall, not a bad place.

Lived through it all and sill here
I've read all the reviews and have agree with most of them. Having lived here for a few years, I've seen the good and the bad. Parking has certainly been HORRID at times, particularly during those "lovely" renovations. They actually had people pay for garage parking during that time (of headaches), instead of offering spaces for free or at least at a discount during the supposed few-week renovations that lasted for months at a time. At this very moment, it doesn't seem to be so bad, but I think it's only because so many people have moved out. I think most of us were hoping that they'd add some extra parking spaces, but instead, we got some useless landscaping (because THAT makes for a great living situation!). We now have fancy elevators. The problem is that they never seem to work all 3 at a time... Management is great UNTIL you have a problem. I've been too scared to talk to them, to be honest. Well, one of them in particular is the scariest and the rest are under her control. The one great thing about this place is the maintenance crew. They're great and helpful and will come through whenever they can. I've had great experience with them so far. I've thought about moving out many times, but the 2-month notice isn't exactly helpful. Feel stuck in many ways... Safety is so so. The neighborhood seems to be improving, but just down the street can seem pretty sketchy during late hours. You'll ALWAYS see a bunch of men just 'hanging around' at all hours and I too, have witnessed a hit and run that involved a parked car (smashed headlight), which took place in the Morning, right IN FRONT of me. The person actually looked me straight in the eye and drove off. At least I managed to memorize the licence plate number without getting a beat-down. So, take it or leave it. So far, I've witnessed a steady decline, so I don't recommend it, but if you're patient and don't complain about anything (EVER), feel free to ignore the warnings and move in. I'm sure they have plenty of apartments available.

The person down there is out of their mind.....
My husband and I have lived at Country Club towers going on 2 years now. It is VERY clean, very laid back and a good overall place to live. The management can get borderline irritating at times but the person who wrote the review below me is completely RIDICULOUS. I have NEVER felt unsafe in the neighborhood... much less has my car, my husbands car or anyone whos ever visited me's car been in jeopardy. There is a CHURCH across the street for pete's sake. And them saying that someone has gotten SHOT it completely a lie. Do not take any word that they are saying as true for they obviously don't know what theyre talking about.

If you read this and rent here your probably mildly retarted
This is by far the worst renting experience I could ever imagine. The best thing I can say about the place is that it is clean and the pool is nice. The staff is not helpful at all. The head manager will complain, lie, decieve and nickel and dime for extra B.S. every chance she gets. The other manager ladies are nice but are under her control. The nieghborhood is horrible and people get robbed and shot right where you have to park your car on the street when the lot is full. Construction noises will drive you insane. One of the door men is a creepy ------- kid who would probably rob your grandmother. So enjoy paying Arlington prices for the worst place in Arlington with the worst management.

Ewwww!
You'll be invisible to the rude management.
Parking is hell. Prepare to park outside in a bad neighborhood if you get home after 6pm. I was told by the polite management before signing the lease that parking was plenty and ample. But after I signed the lease, there was a document in the lease saying that parking was not guaranteed. When I complain about parking, the rude management people (the same people as the polite ones before I signed the lease) keep telling me to read that document.
Renovation takes forever. Is the apartment better? I doubt it. They renovate just to charge you more on the rent and utilities.

Security deposit
I second the review below this one... I moved out at the end of September and still had not received it by the end of Novemeber. When I called the manager's office, I was told that they had nothing to do with deposits and that I needed to take my concern up with WRIT. So, I called WRIT and (like the previous reviewer) was told that the check had been sent to my CC Towers address despite the fact that I had given them a forwarding address in writing (idiots!) I was told that my deposit check would be reissued and sent to me, but another month went by and... nothing. So, I called again. And again. And finally, over 4 months after moving out, I got the check in the mail. The moral of the story: keep on WRIT's --- about your deposit because given the mass exodus of people from CC Towers, I'm sure they are trying keep any penny that they can get their hands on! Good riddence.

Warning; Security Deposit not being returned......
in spite of all the renovation headaches and horrible living conditions that prompted me to move-out 3 months ago - the drama lives on - WRIT still hasn't returned my security deposit - they confirmed that I was receiving the refund - accounts payable sent the check back to the Country Club address-I did give them my forwarding address in my move out notice; instead of canceling and reissuing the check, they asked me to wait another week or so to see if it forwards to my new address - what a bunch of idiots - I've submitted a complaint with Virginia Tenant Commission -I suggest that you have a witness and/or take pictures of your unit when you vacate..just in case you need the backup - the are scam artists and I wouldn't trust them -

Don't rent here!
I moved in at the end of last year and at first, it was alright - no noise, okay parking, etc. Then it all went to hell. Construction has been going on here since the end of 2005 (over a year) and is a complete NIGHTMARE. I've had to endure garage renovation (the garages are under the building, so you hear and feel every jackhammer pulse), balcony renovations (imagine having a jackhammer three feet from your bedroom starting at 8:00am everyday), parking lot renovations (which completely eliminate all outside parking), pool renovations in the middle of summer, etc. They are currently still renovating the garage (they're doing the upper garage ceiling, and to do so, they had to tear out the inside lobby to get to it), upper parking lot renovations, renovating the front of the building, and renovating various apartments inside the building. The other morning, I woke up to surround sound construction - underneath me from the garage, to my left in the parking lot, and above and to my right with apartment renovations. My apartment was shaking so badly that I had pictures coming off the walls! I finally gave up and just left to get some peace and quiet! Management is terrible. When you first sign the lease, the manager (who's been here forever) is extremely nice and helpful... but just give it time. Once you're in, you're stuck. Not to mention that they sucker you in with leases that require you to pay fees to have the carpet cleaned and require more than two months notice to vacate instead of the standard (and more logical) 30 days. You can't make arrangements to have another place to live two months in advance when all other apartments only know of vacancies 30 days before apartments become available. I was told this change in lease terms was in response to the fact that so many people were moving out due to the construction - well, no wonder!!! But the fact that they're losing money because they're running people off is not a legitimate excuse for ripping people off!!! Parking is absolutely terrible. I originally opted for free outside parking, but when the construction began, it was a debacle. So I decided to bite the bullet and get a spot in the garage. Then, they started again with the garage construction and kicked newly reserved spaces out so they could accommodate the construction area. So, now I'm back to parking on the street or down the block and walking to the apartment in a really sketchy neighborhood. I'm leaving in a few months and CANNOT WAIT to get away from this horrible place! I see people coming in to talk with someone about renting here and I have to fight back the urge to scream at them, "STAY AWAY!!!" *** UPDATE *** I'm adding this to inform you that once you move out, you're going to play hell getting your security deposit back. I moved out of CCT in JANUARY and I received paperwork from the management clearly indicating that I was to receive the full refund... In APRIL, I was still waiting for my $200 back. I called repeatedly only to get the run-around for several weeks. A few weeks ago, I received a check for $156.75 - NOT the full $200. It's May 23rd, and I'm STILL battling with them to get the rest of my money. I haven't lived there for five months and they're still screwing me!!! Everything about this place is just horrible... beware!!!

Necessary but painful renovations underway
CCT is currently undergoing renovations. Everything is a mess, and it's generally not fit for man nor beast at the time of this writing. (24 Oct 06) It is to be hoped that all will be well when the construction has been completed, but until there is a major change in the office staff, it will not be a good place to call home.

Right now, it is simply unsafe, non-handicap-accessible, noisy, and dusty. There is very little parking, and no good way to ingress/egress from the outdoor lots. There are garages, which have assigned spots that may be rented, but they're under construction, so what few residents that were able to keep their indoor parking privileges must pay for the pleasure of a dusty and/or damaged car.

Jackhammers start between 8 and 8:15 every weekday morning.

If you have any difficulty with stairs or steep inclines, don't even bother to check the place out.

Balconies were closed for 9 months (instead of the projected 3 1/2) without so much as an update.

Another resident told me about being able to rate this place online, so I went in search of it to add my $.02. Really ridiculous.

Probably the worst place to live ever......
I moved in in late 05 things were fine. I seen no roaches or mice or other critters. I thought the place was ok. I then changed my work schedule. I didn't get home till 3am. I have had to park a block and a half away for the last year. I've gotten parking tickets and nasty letters from the people around the "hood".

I could't sleep the entire time when the garage construction and balcony remodeling was going on. They start at 8am and continue till 4pm. I would literaly leave town on my days off to get away from this place. I had constant headaches from the noise. During the day the "workers" park in your spots and leave you none even when there were a few spots left. They park equipment and large trash hoppers in your spots and leave them there for as long as they want.

I never had to really face the manager and nor do I want to. Scary, thats all I'll say about that.

The cleaning crew is very good. The desk people are very nice, exept the old guy.

The pool had to be shut down for repairs and they came out and started working on it for a week and then stopped. They came back about 1 1/2 months later to work again. So all that time lost to bad judgement.

The first 6 months were ok, no problems. Then it just went down hill from there. I'm ready to leave and move on. I WOULDN'T recommend this place. STAY AWAY!
