I have been living at tysons glen apartments for little over a year now, the apartment is renovated, clean, and the size is decent, the bathrooms are tiny though. The location is what you paying for, it's really amazing to be 15-20 away from DC and all the other major locations around DC.

It has been awful! From the back patio area reeking of dog urine and the dog poop all over the back, to the FOUR months it took for the office to clean it, then they told me the odor neutralization was my problem. It wasn't until I contacted corporate that anything was done. Then the dumpster area looks disgusting to the point where I am embarrassed if I have visitors that drive by it. The dumpsters regularly are overflowing and trash is sitting on the ground. The office management is not the most efficient (reference 4 months to resolve my issue that I took to corporate). The leasing consultants are fine. There was one maintenance request I put it that was marked "resolved" and I did not hear from anybody (and it was a pest issue). It was "resolved" and I never talked to anybody, I had to call the office to get that resolved. The residents frequently prop the front door of the building open (nothing like inviting in criminals to hide somewhere, and as a resident on the ground floor, someone could hide under the steps and then...use your imagination. So overall, my stay here has been a joke.If I could move NOW I would, GLADLY!!!!

It is good, quiet, nice, and the staff is very, very friendly towards the residents, something previous places of mine have not been. The place is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the interstate so noise is never a problem.

This neighborhood is great! Quiet and calm, but very close to the city and there's lots to do in town. The staff is kind and helpful, and the apartments are well maintained and very cute. I would definitely recommend

My experience has been mostly pleasant. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, and you get the impression that everyone is just genuinely trying to live their best lives. I have always felt safe here, and I get the impression that so has everyone else.

I am a huge customer service advocate. I have always admired the excellent customer service offered by the Tysons Glen office staff and facilities staff. In addition, all you need to do is look around, their concern for the residents is displayed by the impeccable appearance of the campus.

Dishonest, Rip Off
We were deceived to this place when we were in midwest. We were told the unit is quiet. But from the day we moved in, we had to deal with constant and high level of noise from hwy 495, 24/7, EVEN WHEN the windows are completely shut overnight when we slept. We complained to the landlord many times, and we notified them that we wanted to move out through an attorney's letter. The landlord insisted that we have to pay them about $6000 penalty if we move before the lease expires but we can move to a quieter unit free of transfer fee ($700 otherwise). When I finally found a quieter and same sized apartment in the same neighborhood, I called the staff who deceived us about the noise level of our current unit for a transfer. But, (1)She doesn't honor the renewal increase in our current unit (on the electronic lease) of about 6.5% rent increase for current tenants, and instead she wants us to pay about 21% increase for prospective tenants. (2) She doesn't honor upper management's offer of free transfer fee and insists that everyone has to pay $700 to transfer no matter what. (3) Moreover, she insists that every unit has to be painted all over though I request not to due to my pregnancy. Then, I immediately told her that it's impossible to work with them, I will not seek transfer anymore, and I will not renew the lease. But when I inquired about how to get the security deposit back at a later time point, they pretended that they never knew that we will not renew the lease, and they insisted that we owe them $5000/month for auto-renewal, which is twice as much as one month of renewal monthly rent. If you are lucky enough to find a quieter unit with them, be aware that their lease term may increase overtime. For our case, 13 months for the first year, 14 months for the renewal. Due to the recent significant rent hike for current tenants and even higher rent hike for prospective tenants, the vacancy rate in the neighborhood shoots up since May 2022. But even before that, the move-out rate seems really high. We moved in July 2021. There are four units on each floor and all three neighbors on our level moved out in 6 months or so after we moved in. When the power went out for two days in August 2021, we had to book hotel stays because there’s no lights in the hallway. The landlord calls the apartment complex luxury but they are too frugal to put emergency lights in the hallway at nights when power was out and it was completely dark.

The write greed into their contracts and mislead tenants.
Read their contracts carefully. You will notice that the terms are absurd and most likely based in greed (couldn't imagine what else it could be). They're so absurd that the contracts are surprising. For instance, they want to charge about as much as two months rent AFTER a lease is terminated (even if you need to move because you were lied to about the noise level in the first place), and would you even believe that? The lawyer we spoke to was amazed at the amount they wanted to charge, and he has decades of experience. Forget the responsibility to mitigate/find new tenants--they write greed into their contracts. And they basically pray on people who aren’t rich so A.J. Dwoskin and Associates can stay very rich. You might want to reevaluate whether you would want to sign a contract with such a company. I've been renting for decades, and I have never encountered such unreasonable contracts. Worse than their contracts are their observed business practices. As alluded to above, my wife was deceived before we moved here from the midwest. This was blatant and obvious deception, a material misstatement that influenced our decision to rent here. Moreover, although some of the staff are friendly, other staff and managers are callous and malicious. In fact, one manager expressed her callousness today and decided that it didn't matter if the floors in the building were slippery or that I had slipped and fallen on one occasion and almost fell on various occasions at the entrance or on the stairs. Now about the apartments: The pool is incredibly dirty. The power went off many times, sometimes for days at a time. (I had to rent a hotel on two separate occasions given the power outages.) They shut the water off several times for hours at a time, and in one instance, three days in a row. They also shut the water off for multiple hours without advanced notice in nonemergency situations. There are rats around the vicinities, and there was once a dead mouse decaying near the playground area for two weeks. They paint each unit before tenants move in, and the smell lasts for months and is incredibly noxious. And the floors and stairs are often very slippery and dangerous, especially after a rain or cleaning. There's a lot more to say about the apartment itself, but I'll stop here and recommend that you rent elsewhere.

Tysons Glen is a beautiful community located between Tysons Corner and Falls Church. It is very close to 66 and 495, as well as several grocery stores. The area is quite nice. The apartments are a bit dated and mine does let in bugs, which is not ideal. Generally, it is a pleasant place to live.

The staff in leasing office is very professional, efficient, and friendly. All of my concerns were addressed immediately. The community is beautiful and located in a great area nearby many shopping centers and restaurants. Residents are also friendly. My only issue with this property is that there are residents who do not clean up after their dogs. I just moved in not even a week ago and am already seeing that is a predominant issue in the community. Hoping they can work to fix that as it really makes such a great community look horrible.

I just moved in with my partner and every interaction we've had with the office staff has been phenomenal! They're kind, personable, and very knowledgeable. Regarding the actual unit, our renovated apartment looks amazing! There's a lot of great closet and floor space. If there was one thing I could change, I'd add more kitchen cabinet space. Community is also absolutely beautiful and quaint.

I just moved into the apartment a few days ago, so obviously I can't say anything about the long-term experience here. But I can say that so far, I've been perfectly happy with everything. The staff has been professional, helpful, and friendly. My apartment is clean and in excellent condition, and I haven't noticed any issues with pests (something I saw this apartment complex was rated badly for a few years back).

Very clean, well-maintained community. No roaches or vermin at all. Great place to live if you just want a place to mind your own business and live your life. Maintenance Supervisor is very good. Property Msnager and Assistant Property Manager are both very good.

I haven't been here too long yet, but so far the community is lovely. The neighbors are all super friendly and the office staff is so helpful. At no point during the leasing process did I feel like we weren't taken care of; the office staff was superb at answering our questions throughout the beginning of our stay here. The building itself feels secure and the space in the actual apartment is amazing.

Exploring the community. Neighborhood is very nice. Dog friendly. Lots of green areas to explore. Dog park is a plus but wish it were better maintained- there are wires n pipes jutting out of ground, low hanging branches of trees, wooden panels -ppl/dogs could get hurt or trip; a bit of grass cover would be nice. Maintenance staff is very professional and prompt. Office staff responds promptly. Some of our maintenance requested were not followed up on - wish that could be addressed too. Thanks

This community is silent and secure, so great, but the office staff should be more professional. The wrong directions that the staff offered to solve issues that I had before were time consuming to me.

Good experience over the 10 years to date, friendly neighbors, Office Staff and Maintenance staff have always been diligent!! Great to have flowers and trees in the environment and mostly well kept! Relatively Quiet and any noise, with children playing outside and vehicle noise is limited, so not much disturbance at all!!
