The community is okay, parking isn't that great but doable. The trash service isn't as convenient as i would like. Staff is hard to reach unless you physically walk in the office. Very dog friendly here

I've lived here a couple weeks so far. Maintenance issues were handled after 2 attempts. But was don't great once completed. Main office personnel are amazing and on top of helping. I do wish they were in the office more. This would be easier for communication. But so far the community is great. The inside facilities are maintained and clean. However outside sidewalks are not.

Horrible, there is no sound barrier between downstairs and upstairs apartment. I do not sleep well due to loud noises, kids screams, dogs running. And now my ceiling leaks from "spills from upstairs apartments" and no one has gotten back to me about questions or concerns I have regarding it.

I've lived in multiple apartment complexes in Richmond. This place is the worst I have ever lived in. You can hear everything from other apartments (I know more personal information about my neighbors than anyone should have a right including their private information because you hear it all). You also live in a constant pile of dog poop. Sidewalks, parking lots, elevators, stairwells, and hallways which management somehow blames on other complexes in the area. Windows are not energy efficient. If you live on the west side of the building you never have to use the heater in winter, but in the summer you will pay 200 or 300 a month just to keep the apartment below 78 in the summer. If you leave the blinds up it will get over 90 even with AC. I will say that most of the older apartment staff are amazing, but this property has been bought and sold at least 3 times since it was made into apartments and has declined each time.

I have been in South Banks apartments for the past year and I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the apartment and location. The new dog park addition that was added on to the building is wonderful, lots of great places around the building for a student to study as well.

Don’t move here

I’ve been a residential for the last three years unfortunately the community has gone downhill recently and I will be moving. Some of the residents have no respect for anyone else examples include bringing their newborn baby to the community gym, unsupervised children playing in the halls, dogs are constantly peeing in the elevator and the surrounding area is disgusting there is trash and dog poop everywhere. One resident went rouge and started breaking the glass in the clubhouse area, residents have been know to steal DoorDash orders and act aggressively, my car has been hit multiple times in the parking lot. Overall I would suggest avoiding this place if you can it comes with a low price tag for reason

I appreciate how quiet things can be. My neighbors aren't very loud. The outdoor experience is a bit rough. I have to tell my kids to watch out for poop every time we leave the building. Meeting neighbors can be pretty tough, so I kinda wish there were more apartment events worth going to like, salsa dance classes or happy hour stuff idk

First week toilet was broken and over flowing and ac did not work sink over fills and laundry shelf is broken. Along with water leaking through to the building the elevator was out of service my first couple of days because it flooded.

Never in my life have I had roaches ??. This apartment complex is disgusting. Then when I address the issue, it's my fault I have roaches, even though I reached out 3 times. This beyond nasty and I pay too much money to live like this

The facility was managed well at one point but unfortunately they have trouble maintaining the staff. Issues never get resolved and they punish the residents for community issue because of the lack to security.

South Bank Apartments responds very promptly to work order requests! Any issues, such as broken ice maker or non-cooling AC has been corrected in literally 1-3 days. They never leave a trace of their presence except for a confirmation that they have found the problem and have fixed it. The AC ran out of coolant, and now it works perfectly and the apartment is the exact temperature we want.

The move in was easy, I was able park the uhaul truck right out front of the building no problem! Resident parking is on the side of the building and guest parking is street parking (which there's usually plenty of). However, after being here for only 2 days, I'm already regretting moving in simply because of the fact that there is no buffer between my upstairs neighbors floor and me. I hear their conversations, every step they take and their dog running around which is probably the loudest thing. I can even hear what they are watching on tv.

The entire South Bank Team is truly awesome . The office staff has always been attentive to my needs, the apartment was turned beautifully. The maintenance team is truly hardworking and dedicated to making the community look beautiful.

The appearance is mostly kept clean. Very seldom issues with appearances except for the occasional dog poop found in some areas. A cleaning person is here daily to clean the hallways and common areas.

Great apartment facility! Office staff is very friendly and punctual. I have a two bed room and there is plenty of space, awesome building amenities, and location. Most pet breeds are accepted even if "labeled aggressive breed."

My experience in the community has been great so far. I'm enjoying my living space and all the amenities. I would definitely recommend this community to others. Management is time efficient with handling the needs of the residents and communicate in a timely manner.

It has been nice. People do have animal so beware if you hear them running and playing. Besides that the community is very nice. I even have fellow peers I know who moved in after asking me my experience.

I am a new resident moved in here. Overall and so far every thing is good. The room space is impressive and clean. Parking is not an issue. I can find a spot in the parking lot every time. However, the room is not such quiet, I can hear clearly what my neighbor is talking. Maybe the wall is too thick. But I am satisfied so far.

This property is nice however I'm not a fan of the spiders and lack of sound proof spaces. I can hear everything my neighbor does. From sneezing to playing a video game at 3am. Overall I would rate this complex 6/10.

I would never move to this building again: once my lease is up i am Leaving. The management is horrible and they are rude/ they never get anything done and are not helpful. They are actually disrespectful to us

The walls really are thin and some residents are -------s with stereo systems so as long as you're prepared to be annoyed on a daily basis it's all good. Also even though they allow pets, it would be better to keep pets to the first level. I'm tired of dogs tap dancing above my head

First of all, when you first see the apartment they are amazing and beautiful. Then stuff will start breaking on you. When you ask them to come to fix it they blame you or they take their time. The dishwasher dryer the a/c. You name it! Second, they are never in the office. You can call or text them it will take them days or weeks to get back to you… they change the portal up all the time… people steal! Your car can get broken into. They put furniture in the hallway. Before Dodson took over this property it was great. I feel that they don’t care about the residents… dogs piss in the elevator. It’s feces on the sidewalk. You can hear the people upstairs. It’s ridiculous!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Apartments are not sound proof and neighbors are not considerate regarding noise levels. A lot of maintenance issues and poor communication with main office staff. Often would send emails and would not receive a response, when I would walk by the office I'd see office staff on their cellphones instead.

A nice place. Residents respect your space and generally follow quiet times. The professionals in the office are always happy when I say hello or stop by with a question. Maintenance is alway prompt and professional if an issue is needing attention.
