Pretty Good

Well we have been at Lake Bradford for awhile. We like it alot.We lucked out with great neighbors and none of them smoke. I can't say that I hear everything my neighbors say. Don't know if they could say the same about us. We live in a great school district. I wish I had a dishwasher though.

Don't Move Here If You Have Children

I moved into these apartments in 2011. The 2 bedroom apartment is very nice and a good size for the price. The grounds are very well kept and maintenance staff is very friendly and pretty quick to respond to problems. BUT, a very big BUT if you have children, you are setting yourself up for failure. The apartment walls and floors are very thin, therefore you hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors. This wasn't an issue for us, because we have small children. But our neighbors, who are young and childless, expect children to not make noises in their own home. We hear everything they do, day and night, and don't complain. But they hear us, mainly our kids, and have complained. The manager of the complex is not understanding about this issue at all and will side with the complainers, to the point she evicts you for noise from children. Do not rent from here if you have children. This complex is very discriminating to renters with children. The manager isn't polite and doesn't care to try to understand that children make noises. I sure hope she's not a mother herself...I can only imagine what happens if they make a noise!

Love it here

I am a new resident. I have only been at Lake Bradford for a few weeks, but it has been great so far! The staff has been wonderful. I love my aparment. Very clean, super convenient to everything, neighbors are friendly. I had a few issues getting the power turned on, and cable hooked up, and the managegment went above and beyond call of duty to help me get things straightened out.

Okay, good.

I've been a resident here for a couple of months now and i'm pretty satisfied. My neighbors are friendly, well some of them. It's especially noisy when my upstairs neighbors invite like 10 people over and they go to the picnic area, get drunk at 2 or 3 am in the morning and you can hear them all talking or yelling loudly, throwing up by our vehicles and usually on a Saturday and Sunday night! Not every person is off on weekends! I haven't complained to the office yet because i'm going to deal with it until it happens again. The parking? well it okay. If your inspection sticker or car tags are expired, the next day they'll put a notice telling you, you're vehicle will be towed. Do you not see all of the cars that just sit there in spots, Taking up space? With no registration or inspection sticker whatsoever. The apartments are small, but liveable. I guess you get what you pay for. But on the other hand, you can find a cheaper apartment/townhome for the same price in a nice neighborhood for much bigger. My refrigerator is old and makes noises that are so loud especially at night time. They leave notices on your door letting you know that they are coming in and it's okay if you're not at home.. Really? it's our temporary residence, some people are comfortable with that. Also, when we moved in they told us the smoke smell would no longer be there, the apartment was clean. It just smelled like smoke, in the carpets especially. It took us two weeks of more cleaning and many candles just for it to go away. All in all, it's a safe neighborhood, the people are nice, for the most part but there's alot of things I'd change.

Good starter apartment

I lived at Lake Bradford for about 1 year. The staff was great, very friendly. The lawn was nice and well manicured. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for big families since the apartments are really small. I really enjoyed that they have a no pet policy, it was nice not dealing with animal feces and noise. The sister apartments seemed really nice too. It is very close to chicks beach and I like the seclusion like feel of where the apartment is located, felt very safe. I would definitely recommend. I'm moving back to the area if this apartment or it sister apartments offered 2 bed and 2 bath option I would be moving back but unfortunately they don't so I have to now look somewhere else.

Nice apt

Before you even get in the apt it is very clear that there is a bug problem. This is not the complexes fault but it does suck! There are more spiders here than you could imagine and tons of other bugs too but management puts some things in the apts to help keep bugs out. Maintenance and management are fantastic! They clean the laundry room and common areas constantly and take care of any complaints the day they are put in! I think that for the price it would be nice to have a dishwasher and/or washer and dryer in unit buuuuut I knew that they weren't here when I agreed to move in. I also think that they should maybe put a little playground in for kids. Children are not allowed to skate, ride bikes, or skateboard in the parking lot (safer, yes but thee kids need to have something to do) and kids are not allowed to colour with chalk? Also I can literally hear everything my neighbors say.

Top of the line Complex!!!

I have lived in Lake Bradford Apartments for six months now. The staff is incredible! Any maintenance issue that I have had has been fixed the same day that I have requested it. With that said, maintenance issues have been few and far between. The level of customer service is unbelievable! Parking is more than sufficient and residents are pleasent. The complex is constantly being upgraded! The outside appearance of the complex is phenominal. Landscape is constantly groomed and you literally see the extra effort to keep the grounds clean. I have not had one negative experience with anyone at Lake Bradford! Shaun Hamilton.

Hi, my name is Federico and I am a tenant at Lake Bradford Apartments. I've been renting apartments from Miami to Texas and back for the last 16 years. And I have to say that Lake Bradford Apartments is where its at. There are pros and cons to everything so let me get the con out of the way first, I don't own my unit!! Pros---> We're a little bike ride or walk from one of the most beautiful semi-secluded beaches in town, Chicks Beach. All the shops are in walking distance,ie. Wawa, Walgreens, the best sushi bar in town and Tropical Smoothie to name a few.. Again with the location. We're located near 2 of what I consider the most important roads to get around Va. Beach, Shore Dr. and Independance Road. It doesn't get any more convenient than that. The staff at the leasing office are the most professional, most courteous people I've ever met and dealt with, led by their manager Josephine. Although trouble calls are few and in between, the maintenance crew are the most knowledgable and will respond even over the weekends. One last thing, the appearance of our community is immaculate. The staff ensures that our landscaping and overall appearance of our complex matches the quality of living that I enjoy every day. I couldn't be any happier =)

Still Thrilled!

I've lived here for 7 months now and I am still extremely happy. I recently went on travel for a few weeks and the staff supported me in every way. My mail hold executed by the post office so they got my mail and compiled it until I returned. Hurricane Irene came through while I was gone and they contacted me prior to the storm to make sure they could check things in my apartment while I was gone. They also check on my car and recovered it after the winds blew it off. After the storms passed, they gave me an update on things back in VA. This peace of mind was priceless and it shows they truly care about their residents! The maintenance staff is friendly and responsive. I have no problem with bugs at all in my building. There were little gnats earlier in the summer but those seemed to be everywhere in VA Beach. I truly do enjoy living here and I was so happy to get back from overseas to my comfortable and enjoyable residence.

What a great place to live.

I moved in a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised to find fresh paint on the walls, clean carpet and everything was sparkleing. Lots of natural light in the kitchen and living area and i'm loving having a dinning room as well a breakfast bar. And guess what I found on my breakfast bar when I moved in, A huge welcome basket. WoW!!! I've never had that before any place I've lived. The staff are friendly and very helpfull, they even care enough about my opinion to have a survey about smoking. How great is that!!! I'm close to work at Little Creek and close to the beach too. It's great. I feel I really lucked out on this one.

GREAT

Moved in a month ago and loving it so far. I told them I was picky with cleanliness and my apartment was perfectly clean on inspection. They are dated apartments but well worth the money. PROS: Quiet - Bike ride to the beach - Nice view - Management is great - Maintenance is pretty good - Good location - and because it's so important I'm going to mention QUIET again - Huge master bedroom - Huge closets CONS: No washer/dryer in unit - No Garbage disposal - No dishwasher - Refrigerator is very small - Bathroom is TINY very tiny - They allow smoking in the buildings and that can get annoying. I would definitely recommend to anyone, great place and by far the best apartments I've lived in since California 15 years ago.

Amazing location

Only been here a month but I'm already in love with this place. I wasn't able to travel with my husband when he came to Va.Beach to look for an apartment. When he told how great this place was and how the management made him feel welcomed I kind of had my concerns. Well 2 weeks after his visit we finally moved in and I see what he was talking about. I was amazed on how we were treated by the Management never have I had someone explain the lease, walk us through our apartment to make sure everything was up to our standards and tell us of all the things to do around the area. I was really amazed of how close we were to the beach (the husband and I walked)and our rent being as low as it is. The isn't a new complex but it is well taken care of and looks a lot better and some of the new places that I've seen.

great place

I have lived here for several years.The apartments are very well keep.Being a single person it is very inportant that the place is quiet and and the grounds well keep.~As far as mantiance goes I couldn't ask for anything better.All I do is call and they come as soon as possible [mostly the same day].I have no trouble with the staff[very friendly].They will call every few months to make sure everything is working right plus they come out every six months to check smoke alarms and clean a/c filters.Don't think you can go wrong.

Life close to the beach

I moved into Lake Bradford a few months ago and I have yet to find any faults with this place. The office staff is very pleasent and professional. The maintenance of the apartments are well maintained and any/all issues are addressed immediately.When I moved in the Manager walked through the apartment with me to make sure everything was acceptable to me and wanted to know if I had any concerns. I have lived in various apartments throughout the USA and I have never received the Presidential treatment like I have here. I will make this my home until I'm assigned my next duty station. This place is very close to one of the most popular beaches in VA and I can get there in 5 minutes on my bicycle. Being in the service I can get to work in 5 minutes and on most days I come home for lunch so I don't have to eat the chow on the mess deck. If you are looking for a great place to live and want to be treated well from the management then you need to make Lake Bradford home.

Just moved out

I just moved out and decided to write to let people know. I lived there for three years and honestly would not be moving out if I didnt have to relocate. The community is very quiet, everyone is pretty nice. During my stay I had normal things happen but if I ever needed something I would let the office know and it would get done. I have to say out of everywhere I lived this place was the most on their stuff. Guest parking is all over so you really dont have to find some where for your people to park. You are right down from the beach so not bad at all. I would have to say I would recommend this to anyone.

Very quiet!

When my husband first got orders to VA beach we heard about this apartment from a shipmate of his. While they were deployed I went out and made all the arrangements to live there. People mainly keep to themselves there which is a good thing but if youre looking for friends its not the greatest. The staff were great and the maintenance guy Ray was always quick & efficient and super friendly. The only one issue we had there was our neighbors. They would make noise complaints for the smallest of things such as my son putting his cartoons on a bit "loud" during the day or us playing video games "loud" on the weekends. It was ridiculous what they considered noisy to be considering it was just my husband son and myself living there and we never had friends or anything over any parties nothing. Other than uptight neighbors it was a great place to live I felt safe there when hubs would deploy.I'd recommend it to the older crowd.

I have been a resident of Lake Bradford since 2005. During my 5 year stay here I cannot find one negative thing to complain about. I moved to Lake Bradford after having a horrible experience with another apartment complex. I was having so many problems at my current place and they were letting me out of my lease and I needed to get moved in somewhere right away. As soon as I drove to Lake Bradford I knew it was the place for me. Getting is was a breeze, they were able to move me in that day! Everything was perfect! Now to get to the good stuff... There is always ample parking here. No matter what time I leave or come home I can always find a place to park and my guests never have a problem either and the parking lot is always well lit. Noise is never really an issue. I very rarely hear any of my neighbors. The apartment grounds are immaculate! I see landscapers here once a week taking care of the property as well as the apartment staff members picking up the property and keeping it very manicured. Maintenance here is the best maintenance I have ever experienced. I can always expect them to fix whatever problem I am having usually the same day I call the office to put a maintenance request it. And the office staf....If you want to live in a place where you know the office staff genuinely cares about you, Lake Bradford is the place to be. There is never a time where they aren't friendly, courteous, and professional and they always ask how everything is and if there is anything they can do to make your stay at Lake Bradford better. All in all, Lake Bradford is the place to be and I would reccommend to anyone. Keep up the good work Lake Bradford!

The best move I ever made site unseen

I recently moved to Lake Bradford about 2 months ago. I was moving from another state and was a little worried because I never got to actually got to see the property or even an apartment before I moved in. No need to worry though because the office staff was absolutely amazing in answering all of my questions and making sure everything was perfect when I got there. There were a few minor things that needed to be taken care of by maintenance and they took care of it the same day I moved in! There was even a welcome home basket on the counter when I got there. So far I have no complaints and I would definately reccommend Lake Bradford to anyone who is looking for an apartment in Virginia Beach.

love living at the beautiful lake bradford apartments.

I have been living at Lake Bradford for 5 years and the apartments are well maintained. The office staff is very friendly and always takes care of anything that breaks in my apartment. I love that in the summer time I can walk down to the bay. The grounds here are beautifully landscaped. In July my lease will be up, but no worries, I will be renewing it and for many more years to come. I grew up in VA Beach and this is the place to live at. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the beach and friendly people.

Yes there are more yes reviews than no but the way the mangement handles the complaints here is ruthless. You point out the rules you want your residents to follow so they will be happy living in a place paying more than the sq footage but what about your rules you have as property management you seem immature and unprofessional.

My girlfriend and I lived there over 3 and a half years. First in a quaint one bedroom apartment on the east side then we moved to a two bedroom on the west side. The entire complex is incredibly manicured and the grounds are expertly well-kept. The staff are very friendly and engaging and treated us like we were family. They always listened to our situations and then promptly corrected them. A big selling feature was the close proximity to the bay and beach and riding our bicycles around the area. Also they have a wonderful newsletter and would leave gift baskets when you moved in and during the holidays, a very nice touch! The yearly birthday cards were a pleasant surprise and I would highly recommend this apartment complex as a wonderful place to live.
