VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT
Any words that comes to my mind about this apartment are all negative. Poor customer service, unprofessional management, nightmare! I lived here from 2007-2008, just for one dissapointment to another.

Watch out when you move out!
I could spend days writing about how horrible this place is to live there, except I am writing about how horrible it has been since I left. WATCH YOUR BACK!! After I moved out, I one day got a letter from a collection agency saying I owe $193.56 to Allure. First of all, this was the first I heard about it. Secondly, I left the place as nice as the day I moved in. Lastly, I am very responsible and would have NEVER left a bill unpaid. I am now working with the collection agency to fix Allure's screw up! Maddening! Don't go near this place! Anyone else have this same problem? What did you do?

Move anywhere but here!
The management staff really think people are dumb enough to fall for their SO OBVIOUS review? It looks like they copied and pasted their brochure to create that review titled "Strong Enthusiasm..."(the ONLY 5 star review). Don't be fooled by the outside appearance, it's all smoke and mirrors. The staff will make your experience hell because they don't do anything. They won't resolve any problems and you will have plenty of problems because the people there know they can do whatever they want with no repercussions. People are loud at all times of day and night. The walls and windows are so thin you won't have any peace and quiet. Parking is terrible and maintenance will never fix any problem you have with your apartment.Christe, the manager, is a rude, snob. I went in to follow up on a complaint and she purposely kept me waiting while she played on her computer. She is extremely lazy and a sorry excuse for a manager and it shows. That place is a nightmare!

Unprofessional... They have a shadow dancer at night!!! Really!
I visited this place TWICE, trying to give them a second chance. Nothing but a disappointment and a waste of time. First of all, at night, they have this shadow dancer projection that plays on the doors along Chapman Ave! It looks cheesy and not classy at all. The leasing office agent was completely unprofessional. She didn't greet us, we had to come to her. She didn't introduce herself, I still don't know her name. She didn't shake our hand(s) and she was walking 5 feet ahead of us the whole time without speaking/explaining the property as we were on a "tour" and this had nothing to do with our appearance or hygiene. It just seemed like she wanted to take her lunch break and rush us through. They never had a proper unit to show us. The business center smelled funny. The elevator was dirty. The walkways were uneven. They allow pets put there aren't any pet-friendly areas-- just one SMALL patch of grass near the parking. Empty businesses with "For Lease" signs on the bottom. The only pros... They have a built-in desk area in the units. The building looks nice when it's lit up at night... except for that stupid shadow dancer thing.

Honest Review
I will start off by saying my girlfriend moved in here a year ago, a few months after they built this place. it wasn't completely against my advice, but I wasn't as impressed with the "amenities" and everything else as she was. and the price was well above average. it's even somewhat high with the free rent specials. she moved in a 1br ground-floor apartment and had a few maintenance things, which they never really dealt with. parking and other issues were a big pain. the pool and other things like "business center" (haha) were never open, not even during the daytime. eventually, they straightened out the parking a bit, which took forever and some random car was always in our ONE space before that. but when I noticed a strange dark spot on her wall, which was apparently a slow drip from a pipe inside the wall. the maintenance came out to "take care" of it which the solution was basically knock a huge hole in it and then never come back to try to fix it for the next 2 months. we had a plastic bowl that would fill up with dripping water and have to be dumped out at least twice a day. when I moved in with her, we wanted a new apartment big enough for the both of us. the apartment they rented us was a 1br loft, but they never showed us the actual unit, just a model with the same layout. on move in day, it became clear the actual one they rented us was DISGUSTING! it was an improvement over the old unit in size only, since the first one was brand new when we moved in. three other people (this is a 1br loft, mind you) had lived there previous and left the place in disarray. management only saw fit to do a little touch-up paint job before we moved in. the entire bathroom was abysmal. we gave a laundry list of things to fix which of course they NEVER DID. they agreed to send a cleaning service to fix up the place since it was gross, but we had to beg and plead a few times, then they sent them to the wrong apartment! when we confronted the manager (yes manager, not some peon), they said "oh well I guess somebody got a free cleaning" and never did anything about it! worse, since we paid the full rent for the previous unit AND the new one which overlapped since we completed our move before the end of the month (as scheduled in our 30-day notice for the first), they never returned the 2 days back rent we were due even though their accounting person already figured the amount and told us to expect a check. it turns out they were holding a check for us, but never gave it, then something mysteriously happened to this check (it "expired" somehow, while they were twiddling their thumbs). the courtesy patrol walks the parking lot which is OK, but as far as noise they only help a little since most people don't know how to behave like adults. sound insulation is average but if we open the window there's a lot of freeway noise. we had loud neighbors above who would stomp around constantly and now on the top floor we have some jerk playing loud music downstairs when we're trying to sleep. I've contacted the patrol twice and it has yet to solve the problem. the ownership changed and new management came in but things are still rather disjointed, having only settled down a little. usually nobody knows what's going on. there's clearly nobody in charge that would ever take responsibility for problems or issues. even something simple like picking up a package from UPS or Fed Ex is something I dread. I also agree with the people that said the pool etc are not nearly adequate, though the gym is a small convenience. trust me, look elsewhere first. only move here if you really had your heart set on it, but keep your fingers crossed and be ready to be underwhelmed. especially when you think you are getting a "like new" unit and find out it is actually a dump!!! see the actual unit first, and find all the problems then make them fix it first. now we have to live with them, and they'll probably blame it on us!

Strong Enthusiasm for Allure with Suggestions/Dislikes
To prevent from sounding like a "brochure" as others claim, I want to say that I enjoy living at Allure and have broken down the reasons why, as it is the easiest way for me to write it. Some people do not believe my review, however, I had my heart set on this place, and with the open communications I have had with the office (communication is always key and in person here is absolutely best--I learned that early on), I have had an excellent experience... plus, I'm no longer far from Disneyland (annual passholder, thank you very much), and I'm near my Ducks!! Anyhow, this is my review, with some slight changes made since original posting--including my rating from 5 to 4. Since my review is going to be a bit long, it is separated as follows: Amenities, Likes, & Living Quarters Dislikes Review of Services / Management (and suggestions for those who've had a bad experience with them, since mine has been satisfactory, aside from one thing mentioned below) AMENITIES / LIKES / LIVING QUARTERS -------------------- Common area amenities: POOL FITNESS CENTER CLUB HOUSE/LOUNGE with TV, full kitchen & some game tables (great room for family/friend get-togethers, cooking near the pool) BUSINESS CENTER -- (Computers & desk areas to use) (only wishes for the Business Center is for a projector and projection screen -- then it would be excellent for business presentations) FIREWORKS shows from Disneyland &/or Angels Stadium (on the Rampart side, and always viewable from the roof) In the suites: A/C, Heater, Washer/Dryer, Dish Washer, Full kitchen (Fridge with ice-maker, Powerful 2-level microwave, all Whirlpool products), Alarm System (you can choose to activate service or not), and plenty of storage. All suites have lockable storage on the terrace, though which is excellent! There are also sound-proofed, insulated windows, which I very much appreciate. They don't cancel out everything of course, but they do a pretty good job. I enjoy living at Allure. The location is excellent. Very central to freeways and just one freeway exit or a short drive away from plenty of entertainment. Disneyland is one stop away, as is Honda Center (Go Ducks!). Just down the street is The Block, Angel Stadium (World Champion Way!), and, more importantly, the brand new UC Irvine Medical Center. Clearly from my enthusiasm, the location and amenities are what make this place rock. It's very calming and comfortable here and the suites are absolutely beautiful. I happen to view the courtyard, which is quite peaceful. DISLIKES------------------------------------------------ The fridges are not magnetic (yeah, seriously) but at least the front door is. Just as with any complex, the main unlikeable thing is: the other tenants, but my suggestion is to utilize the security that's on the grounds if they're doing anything stupid. I utilize them when necessary as it's best to have them go deal with any obnoxious neighbors to keep general anonymity (also because I can tend to have some anger management issues). Also, if they are breaking any of the rules that we all sign for when moving in, let management know. There are steps they take that they explained to me and should hopefully explain to you. Though I wouldn't see the large woman in the office (for a lack of a better description) about that, she appears unhelpful. The design of the garage could be a bit better. Turning corners in the garage can be a bit scary due to the above dislike (the other tenants). Some have trucks that are just WAY too big for almost any parking garage, so it makes it difficult to stay on your side of the drive. Otherwise, some people just drive too fast in too small of an area. Advice: Drive carefully and keep those eyes peeled. Traffic after an Angel's Game can be a pain down Rampart, just be sure to take Chapman Ave. to get home and if you're trying to leave home, go TOWARDS the stadium, because there are far too many cars leaving it, making it impossible to turn left out of the complex (luckily, I haven't been stuck in that situation, just seen it when driving in). I do agree with some of the other reviewers that my experience with the management was very poor in the first place (IE: I was told I would get a call in 3 days, but instead had to call the office myself MULTIPLE times). I don't necessarily think they've turned around, but my experience has gotten better. See below. Lastly, the new hotel across the street has some questionable customers. I'm starting to hear more noise from them than those living at Allure. (UPDATE: That's gotten better, thankfully, but now the courtyard here has someone leaving their whining dog out on the porch alot-- not cool for the dog or neighbors) SERVICES----------------------------------------------- The maintenance staff generally completes requests in a timely manner. I've made many small requests, and they've been attended to quite quickly. Only when it got further into summer was service a bit slow. As mentioned earlier, there is on-site Security that's available 24/7 and an in-suite alarm system--pretty cool. To current and future tenants: In terms of having a good experience with the management and maintenance, I would suggest establishing a relationship with at least one of the staff members in the leasing office and sticking with that person. I do agree that knowledge varies from one person to the next, and that happens in a lot of places, so just be sure to make that one important relationship down there! ...I'll keep this updated if my opinion changes, but for now, I enjoy Allure and would totally recommend living here.

do not move here!
this apartment complex is an absolute NIGHTMARE! it seems that they are so desperate to rent these places that they will rent to any loser who just got out of jail. the noise is ridiculous, people partying at all hours of the night. trash and dog pee in the hallways. an endless stream of beer toting drunk college kids swarming the halls and pool area at all times of day. people skateboarding up and down the hallways. not to mention the fact that our neighbors think it is a great idea to toss fireworks into the hallways or to shoot paint guns at the neighboring building. do NOT move in here!

management.....terrible.
I've been a tenant since this Spring. Let me tell you!! Two people live here and work at the office. It seems that they work here to live cheaper at this Allure Apartment. If manager checks this, please answer the phone during your office hours. I didn't call duting lunch time! I called at 2:45PM and nobody answers the phone, so I went to the office right away, but there were two people in the office. Please be responsible for your job.

Does Allure Train Its Employees?
The leasing office is extremely unprofessional and does not show any concern for its residents. It takes them months to process maintenance requests and no one in the office has a clear understanding of the apartment's policies. Three different people working there told me different things and I was the one who took the burden due to their lack of communication. They will pin you for anything they possibly can. Half the apartments look over the trailer park and the other half face the noise and disruption caused by barking dogs and screaming children. It is far overpriced for what you get. Many of the outlets in both apartments I have lived do not work and require a whole reconstruction inside the wall in order to be fixed. I also have had problems with mice (coming in through the hole behind the stove) and have had minimal response from the leasing office. The service I have received there is just unacceptable. Also, a friend's dog was stolen off his balcony by the pool, and I've had my car broken into in the parking structure. The employees did not take any action. I highly recommend saving your money and moving to the Renaissance next door. This place is a huge disappointment!

This place sucks horribly. Don't waste your time.
My wife and I moved here three months ago and from the beginning this place has treated us horribly. They start of nice while your filing the paper work, but once they have you committed to rent your not a priority. Secondly our apartment walls were not painted when we moved in. They had smudge marks and holes still in them from the previous residences, and to make matters worse the bathroom wasn't cleaned and there was urine stains on and around the toilet. Lastly about two weeks ago at around 7:30 am on a Saturday, the maintenance man tried breaking through the door of our apartment. He had no work report and ruined my deadbolt. And what was so funny about this whole situation was that the apartment had no record of someone renting the place. Allure has a disorganized staff with a lack of experience sure to make your life stressful!

Management is the worst I have ever seen
We have lived at several luxury communities in over 17 years and several states, and we have never seen such rude, disorganized on-site management. When we refer to "on-site management" we are referring to the female community manager that recently took over for the male community manager that left to go back to Arizona. He made this community a liveable place and organized it better than it was prior to his arrival. Then "She" came on-site and started to bad mouth residents, vendors and staff to the point we did not want to walk in the office when she was there. The tension could be cut with a knife when she was around but the atmosphere in the office was calm, collected and enjoyable to stop by and pay a visit to the staff when "She" wasn't there. Shortly after her arrival we asked for a service call and the maintenance manager came by to assist us, took care of the issue in a timely professional manner and shortly after that was fired by the new community manager and replaced by "her" maintenance manager from her previous community she left. We were shocked, the maintenance manager that was here was getting things in order and taking care of issues in a timely manner based on our discussions with other residents nearby us. Apparently she does not know when she has talent and will continue to hurt the community, residents and staff at this community. The reason for us writing this is the assistant manager recently left also, so we are not sure how long the rest of the staff or residents will survive the new managers attitude.

DONT MOVE HERE THEY RAISE RENT RIGHT AWAY
my fiancee and our daughter were going to move here and then we decided not to move. They told us we would get our deposit back if we decided not to move within 2 days of signing the lease agreement. i called and told them we decided not to move in and so on and that i need my check back they said "ok we will call you when we find it" so i waited a day never got a call about my check. i finally went down there and they had "no idea" where my check was and blablabla. they were going to keep my money but im smart and called the bank and cancelled it. they are a bunch of stuck up people.

I hate Allure!!!
Wow!!! Instead of making improvements based on the complaints of tenants, Allure staff would rather make up fake reviews as they pretend to be tenants. This is another example of their unprofessionalism and their inability to be trusted because they lie to make themselves and the company look good. Who cares about the so called "amenities" when you hate to come home because you have to deal with noisy neighbors and barking dogs and management personnel that are clueless or just don't care? Christie is an awful manager. It is so clear that she doesn't care about the experience of the tenant. So instead of actually doing her job, she wants to make fake reviews. So not suprised Christie. Keep up the good work.

Don't be fooled!
Allure may look all nice and wonderful from the outside, but once you move in it is a complete nightmare. Of all the places I've been to, I have to say that Allure is one, if not, the dirtiest places I've lived at. Sadly, some of the tenants who live there are complete slobs. They leave their trash outside of the trash chute and expect that the trash will be dumped on its own; tenants allow their dogs to do their business all over the place and don't even pick up after them; a neighbor down the hall from me had 4 kids and they were always leaving dirty diapers and food in the hallway! When I finally did move out, my deposit was not retunred to me within the 21 days as stated in the contract. They expect us to pay rent on time and they can't even return my deposit on time! I did not receive my full deposit back so I asked that they send me an itemized list of what was taken out from my deposit. I left the apartment close to the way it was when I moved in "brand new" except for the usual wear and tear. It took them close to a week to return my phone call. They weren't helpful when I was a tenant and I shouldn't be expecting any change.

Read before considering.... Nothing alluring about the management
Been living here since early 2007. The leasing agent who helped with the contract was nice but haven't seen him since the day I signed - high turnover rate with the staff. Have many things to complain about this property, but will list the most significant that will affect prospective residents. And my complaints do not revolve around just a single isolated incident... (1) The only thing the management cares about is leasing out the units to new tenants; THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT RESIDENTS ONCE THE CONTRACTS ARE SIGNED. Case in point -- each time a request or a complaint is made, no one provides a courtesy call or even bothers to contact you to advise if the problem has been addressed/resolved. (2) Parking - Even though the management "promised" an orderly, assigned parking. The parking remains haphazard. People/guests park all over the place, often forcing the residents to find a space, which then turns out to be someone else's assigned space. (3) Maintenance - Good luck getting someone to resolve it within a "reasonable" time. Unless it's a dire emergency, the staff will not even contact you to advise you of when they could come. (4) Noise Level - The sound insulation is adequate when it comes to neighbors adjacent to you. The sound insulation from the floor above you, is non-existent. Aside froom hearing the footsteps of the resident(s) above, if the resident has a speaker or god-forbid, a subwoofer, good luck getting any kind of peace and quiet. (5) "On-site security patrol". The so-called security patrol is practically a scarecrow. Has no enforcement power whatsoever (used him on few occasions to notify of the noise complaint upstairs) and worse, cannot even be contacted. All you get is a lousy voicemail - leave a message and maybe they will contact you if they feel like it. The management's response to complaints---DISMAL! They don't even acknowledge your complaint, moreover, they try to avoid you when you see them. Many more complaints, but if you're a prospective tenant attracted by the external (and perhaps the internal) appearance of the units, be aware of the pitfalls of living in a poorly managed facility. Believe me you just pray for your lease to be over.

Honest Opinion
My fiance and I have lived here for a little over six months and it's one of the better apts we've lived in. As with all rental housing, there are pros and cons. Management is slowly improving from when we first moved in, and the ammenities are not bad. The location is GREAT! There are major freeways and lots of shopping centers close by. Overall, I would say that this place is one of the few places worth renting.

Horrible Staff, very un-professional and incompetent
Oh they tell you how many things there gonna do like clean the exterior pool windows for the view you paid for or leave the clubhouse open past 6 when normal people get off work but really all Allure is a place where every leasing agent who moved me in 4 months ago quit because of horrible management. This place is nice only to the untrained eyes, the experience with the staff and maintenance have been a nightmare and I'm telling you, don't rent here

Management from top down totally screwed me over.
I went through very long application process, only to be declined, despite jumping through many hoops. I even went through the trouble of getting an excellent co-signer, and documentation which the agents said they needed. I had utilities turned on in my name, but they day I was told I could move in, the agent said that my application was declined. Utilities stayed in my name for another two weeks, trying to resolve the situation, which included corporate management. All to no avail. So, I wasted time off work, driving, gas, phone, calls, and I need to pay an electric bill, even though I never moved there. All of this could have been avoided if they would have told me that a credit issue I had over 6 1/2 years ago would stop me from getting approved. They should have told me their policy up-front, then I would not have wasted my time, and made plans to move there.

Crappy A** Management
For one thing, they do not train their leasing agents well. When I went to view the place the agent forgot the keys THREE TIMES. Right when we would get to the model he'd realize he didn't have the right key!! Another thing, I really liked the apartment itself...aside from the crappy agent. It was more the place that sold itself rather than the people. Well, I put a hold on it and all that stuff. Nobody gets back to me...to give me a courtesy call or to tell me the results. I call requesting the manager...Only to ask questions on the process, but they put me on hold for over 5 minutes thinking that I was going to complain since I requested to speak with the manager. For one thing they were idiots to assume that. I was on hold so long that I had to hang up and call back. Initially, for new tenants...their customer service is the crappiest I have experienced. I ended up getting a place way better, better priced and larger than their apartments. And their leasing agents are EXPERIENCED and not quick to judge or discriminate on your appearance.

Allure does not allure!!
the building has an exclusive contract with att for cable, internet and phone service. this is has been nothing but a nightmare for us from day one. installation requires you call a special number to get the service set up. att customer service will do nothing but confuse you further and make the process even more painful. you will be forced to get a land line and you will have to wait two weeks for att to come out and install the service. 90% percent of the time the cable guy will show up and drive away since he has no way of getting into the complex. the service is day today will go out forcing to pick up the phone and deal with at&t. right now our HD channels are out and the cable guy has been their once already this week but he drove away becuase he couldnt get into the building. this place needs to get rid of att.
