Living at Bella Springs takes me only two minutes to get to work on the Air Force Academy. Not only did I get a great deal on rent for my one bedroom with den but I save a lot of money on gas as well! I've enjoyed getting to know the staff and my neighbors.

No flexibility in Lease

I have visited my apartments over the city and this is the only one that would not work with me on a 15-16 month lease. If you don't have an issue with a 12 month lease not knowing what your renewal options will be it seemed like a nice place.

Thanks for the help during our move into Colorado Springs

I recently moved into Bella Springs from another state. The staff was very helpful in providing information for a long distance move. They recommended a local moving company that had me moved in within a few hours. I move often with my job and I have to admit this has been the easiest transition yet. I am looking forward to living here.

Not too bad...not too bad at all

We've lived here for over a year and are leaving in a few days only becuase a relocation to Denver is necessary for my husband's job. While here we have been treated with respect and our concerns have been met easily and efficiently. We had to call maintenence twice while here and both times the problems were fixed quickly. Safety has never been an issue and while others have complained about trash & dog messes, I haven't seen any myself so I don't really know. The noise level was low save for the usual apartment living noise. My only real complaints would be as follows: Parking sucks. If you are not willing to pay for parking, you will have problems finding a place anywhere near your building unless you are lucky enough to have uncovered parking by yours. We are not. Having guests come over was a pain. Also, the pool has gone downhill. We greatly enjoyed being able to swim in the outdoor heated pool & hot tub all winter and were disappointed with what seems to be happening now. The water is icy cold and usually dirty. Both the pools and hot tubs are being fed water by a garden hose and the hot tubs haven't been hot in weeks.

My Stay at Bella

The parking is so bad that you had to park in the fire lines. The Staff is okay, but can be improve. Some times you will get the feeling that the staff does not care about you. The trash pick up sucks. You only have three days to put out your trash and the trash poeple will come and pick it up. If it is windy the trash is all over, this is not the concrtion trash. The people that have pets do not pick up after their pets, so you may step in their stuff. You can hear people no matter what floor you are on and other peolpe play their music very loud that it shaks your glasses in your apartment. The last thing is their is nothing around there to do. If you want to do somthing you would have to drive to the Spring or Monument.

Clean, well-landscaped apartments, lovely location

Would I live there again? "No." The maintenance staff is a great group of hard-working "kids." Now, the problem falls somewhwere in management and beyond. Number one illustration is if given an answer by one person in management, it should be in writing, because there is a good chance the person working the next day will say that does not exist or is not possible. I am sixty-years old and I like rules -- that's what is necessary to maintain all establishments. My husband and I decided this group is trying to work on one "collective brain." They staff are cute, dressed well and they have the blankness of a Haldol psych unit. Only difference, psych units don't get to wear colored contacts. Staff have poor social skills; they are not trained on how to handle incoming and outgoing customers/renters/potential clients -- usually they prefer the 'ignore' approach, focusing on who might be a new renter [ca-ching] and can't find the skill to say, "Oh hi, will be with you in just a minute." When I was living there, one staff member was always rude. It was the classic R.U.D.E. that we use in psych and I'll give you a clue; one word is "dumb." Not that anyone should use such a derogatory term, but for the sake of posting, we'll go with that transparent modus operandi. (That is how one behaves to cover their inadequacis and propel their status.) Another vital improvement would be that rules are for all people; cliques associated with the front desks girls (and a couple of guys who usually used the weight room) should also be following rules. Many nights I saw a couple of girls swimming topless which is just fine with me -- I've lived several places in the world, but I also knew this was not OK at Bella Springs and let's face IT, probably no apartment in COLORADO! One night I had to do on-the-spot-counseling with two 9 yo girls because they wanted to go swimming, were upset about the nudity, were taking piccies and well, it wasn't working out well. So, I explained they needed to swim with an adult, as the rule says and went into different cultural norms. The rule book for living there would make ------ blush and probably upset, because he had not thought of so many tenets. Management and upper management would benefit from taking a class in Sociology of Community. Lastly, I hope they find one person with a strong, working brain to be divided upon the existing staff. This is no exaggeration . . . on Day 1 . . . my husband and I walked out of the office (we own 5 businesses between us) and both muttered, "What the ____ ?"

All of the women in the office are sooooooooooooo beautiful!

I've been at Bella for 3 years now and really love the place. I moved from Houston to race at Pikes Peak and never went back. The management has always taken care of any issues in a timely matter and are always friendly and courteous. I rent covered parking for 25 a month and it's worth it. And did I mention that all of the women in the office are sooooooooooooo beautiful! I highly recommend Bella.

Bella: The Place Where Dreams Come True

Moving into the Bella Springs Apartment complex has been a great experience. The leasing process was quick and painless, with everything being explained in a straightforward manner. The rent is very reasonable. The staff is friendly, curteous, and always willing to help resolve any issues. The grounds are well kept, buildings well maintained, parking has been a non-issue for me, and the only complaint I have had is minimal noise problems, though they have never been during "quiet hours." The pool, hot tub, gym, and movie room are nice features that add to the fun atmosphere that Bella provides. The only maintanence request I have had was handled quickly. Overall, Bella: TPWDCT, is a place I would recommend to anyone looking for an appartment in the 80921 area.

Thanks for keeping both pools opened later in the season

We have really enjoyed the pool area staying opened so late this year. We actually had a group of out of town guest that came to colorado from texas and could not believe that the pools were still open and heated. It was really fun to set outside in the hot tub and swim with our guests when most pools are closed. Thanks we so enjoy living here!

Handbook out of date?

I like to read apartment reviews and laugh at the idiots who usually post on here. I have been in property management for 14 years, mostly in California, but this hand book issue stated by a lot of people here caught my eye and here is what I reccomend. Generally, first consultation with an attorney is free and I reccomend always ask one. I think every resident should understand tenant/landlord law. If they did, we would not have so many complaints on here and less in the office when they come in to gripe. On to the Handbook, normally a property can not change the rules on you without a proper notice, usually a 30 day notice posted on your door and in some states also mailed to you. They also can not usually change the rules while your on a lease. There are some exceptions to this, pool rules, office hours, parking policies etc,. can be changed while on a lease and usually a notification is still required. However, if a company changed a bunch of rules including an entire handbook with out proper notification and without providing you with a copy, I would say they were in the wrong and you need to seek legal representation for any and all lost damages. This could even be a class action suit. First though, check your newest lease and be sure you didnt agree to allnthe terms that are listed in the new hand book or that you signed or agreed to anything about the new handbook. I doubt it but check to see if there is a version number on the hand book and if it is put in the lease.. either way, it would be up to the management company to prove they provided you legally with the up to day hand book that would of course differ to the one you have and agreed to at lease signing.

I live here and I really cannot believe some of these reviews

My husband and I currently live here at Bella Springs and are getting transfered to another state with the military. One of our friends suggested that we go this site to check out apartment reviews to where we are moving, which made me think of looking at Bells Spring's ratings. We were both shocked to see the unhappy comments about the property and staff. We have nothing negative to say at all and in fact we have referred some of our friends to live here also who have also enjoyed living here. I guess this site proves that there are some really nasty people out there who are unhappy with themselves and want to try to make others unhappy too. So if you are someone who actually takes the time to read the ratings on this site we would like to say you would really enjoy living here at Bella. Sincerely A Happy Resident!

Filthy money hungry white trash apartments..

I've lived at Bella a miserable 15 months and can't wait for my lease to be up... Since I've lived there the management has absolutely ridiculous. We get charged for EVERYTHING. The management is never ever courteous enough to help or waive a fee. It's "out of their power." They will not accomodate anyone except themselves. For example: I was away on a business trip for a week and dropped off my rent check before I left and told the manager I was going out of town for a week. When I returned I had an eviction notice on my door saying I had 3 days to pay... It was already the second day. Their excuse was that I needed to pay with a money order and I paid with a check... I had to fight with them to get the fees waived even though they knew I would be out of town and didn't try to contact me at all. How ridiculous... I lost my pool key--it was only $25 to replace! For a key... are you kidding me? Hidden fees are ridiculous... I think the staff just pulls a new one out of nowhere anytime a given situation comes up and then claim "it's in the new handbook... the one you have is outdated." Umm... they shouldn't be giving out "outdated" handbooks in the first place! Seriously... these ladies make up a new rule for everything. You can only have 2 guests in the pool area at a time... otherwise it's a $250-500 fine or eviction. How nice... And the pool is supposed to be open till 11pm. I was there one night around 10pm and the maintenence guy came and kicked everyone out so he could have his own private party... The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. And parking... they have 50 thousand spots for people who are willing to pay (idiots) but for the rest of us and our guests, we have to park illegally (handicapped, fire lane...) or twelve blocks away and walk back! And just so you know... you pay double for your water here. Springs utilities and a different company. Probably paying for Bella to run their sprinklers. Seriously... if you're looking at these apartments DON'T. You'll regret it. Any of those "positive" posts seriously are fake. How real do they really sound? "I love these new changes!! I'm giving Bella a 10!" Bull. Or "I've lived here for two months and love it!!" just wait.... you won't love it by the time you leave. Just keep truckin to Grand River Canyon.

The Manager lies, they charge for parking, trash on lawn all the time because they don't have dumpsters and we can only place our trash outside on Mon, Wed and Fridays and are expected to let it pile in our apartments the other days or set it on the balcony to get rats and flies! Unbelievable when we are charged for trash service and threatened if we leave trash out on wrong days will be fined $50 a day and lots of residents leave it out anyway. I was tricked into 1 month free and after my lease expired my rent went up $300!! Don't move here, the apartments are beautiful but the plumbing pounds all night and you can here thru the walls and smell cigarette smoke. After 2 requests have been made for spraying for spiders they have been ignored. Parking is a total nightmare. If you don't pay for a carport there is no place to park so people park in the middle and block eachother! They force you to pay for the carport and don't tell you until after you have your moving truck parked and are ready to move in! Construction going on starting early in the morning and through the weekends, extremely noisy.

TRASH

You know i've read all these reviews and it all seems like the main prob is the trash situation and the office staff. I've only lived at bella for a few months now, but i have lived in apts for the last four years. and all i gotta say is Hats off to Bella. Everyone here is whinning about trash. but who is the result of all this trash? THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE HERE. How can u expect the maint staff and office staff to pick up every little piece of trash that these disrespectful residents throw on the ground. And i'd have to take my hats off to them for having curb side pick-up. I dont think i've ever seen any apt community have that. So as far as the trash situation look at yourself and try and take pride in where u live. Dont throw your trash out from your car, and when u set ur trash bag out tie the damn thing up so it dont blow everywhere. And dont be so friggin LAZY WALK DOWN TO THE TRASH AREA AND PUT YOUR OWN TRASH IN THERE. As far as the office staff goes every property has that prob. Every time i would call and wanna speak to the manager she was also busy, i just got over it. I mean i just took a step back and looked at the situation, is it really needed that i talk to her? prolly not cause if everyone called and wanted to talk the manager bout stupid stuff then they would never get anything done. You cant expecet everything to be perfect in the apts, there APARTMENTS not million dollar homes, the people that are moving in there they dont give a crap what it looks like when they move out cause they dont have to clean or fix it. So all i gotta say is suck it and stop being such a whinny baby about the stupidest things.

Nasty manager/ NIGHTMARE LIVING!!

Bella springs are beautiful aparments HOWEVER ITS LOOKS ARE DECEVING!! there floor plans are great and the homes are nice! however there is a serious issue with managment/parking/dog poop. They have great extras but they are rude nosie and very very irrisponsable! the trash blows all over due to the fact they have no trash bins.they have a outragious pet deposit and no where for you to take them out to use the bathroom. There are about 5 avaiable parking spots around each building which are never open for people who live there and thre visitors!! They tow your car if you park curbside.They randomly leave notices on your door alerting you that they are going to enter your home NO QUESTIONS ASKED ...the day they decide to do it!!and last but far from least the managment has serious issues. they increase rent prices!! the hot tub is always off, MATIANCE NEVER FIXED MY SINK LEAK.. IT ROTTED THE WOOD AND I WAS CHARGED! After paying rent on time for 9 months and cleaning the apartment I was BILLED $700 on top of the $500 deposit!! OUTRAGIOUS THIS PLACE IS LIKE A SOAP OPERA!!

Management does not care about you AT ALL! Very poor customer service.

I have lived at Bella for 3 years, and during my last month here I decided that I would need to go month to month, due to timing issues with the people moving out of my new place. I contacted ----- (property manager) in writing, personally and over the phone about this, and everything seemed to be fine. Just the other day I called with a question about my apartment next month and to my astonishment the girl acted like I was crazy and told me that my apartment had already been rented and that I needed to be out by April 30th! I have given them god knows how much money during a 3 year period and have never been short or late with rent, and they treat their residents like this!!!!???? Not to mention, every time I try to call and talk to -----, she is either on the phone or with someone else or out of the office and one of the other dumb blondes tells me she will call me back asap, and guess what? She hasnt returned ANY of my calls. NOT ONE. EVER. Talk about being blonde (all of them are) or really really lazy and not giving a ----. Thanks for leaving me with 2-3 weeks of no home, Bella. I would never live in another one of these properties and if you expect to be treated with respect, Bella Springs is NOT the place to live.

We just moved out and wanted to say how nice it was living at Bella Springs. Normally apartment living can have its draw backs but we really didn't experience any during our stay there. We wanted to say a special thank you to the maintenance team who actually helped us move some of our furniture down the stairs to the garage until the moving van came. We will miss all of you!

Glad I left

We moved out last month after 6 months at thsi place. Trash blowing down the sidewalk, dog crap everywhere, keggers next door. Not family friendly, worse than some apartments on the south side.

I will NEVER live in another Griffis Blessing!!!

We were instantly sold on the nice amenities and the price we got for the apartment, but we quickly learned the true nature of this place. We had maintenance come out numerous times to fix a bad leak (our kitchen was flooded) and when the couldn't fix it, they wouldn't let us move into a different place. When maintenance can't fix something, they like to blame it on you (oh, it's you're washing machine, not the ceiling). There is never any parking. The office is filled with complete idiots. The manager is the worst; she is incapable of performing the most basic skills, such as adding. They always have some new bimbo working in the office so you can never speak to the same person. They also like to try and change the leasing policies by claiming that the policies in the handbook are out of date. Basically, they suck!

outdoor hot tub in winter can't be beat

We really enjoy using the outdoor hot tub especially during the snow storms. We normally use the indoor and just recently started taking advantage of the out door one since the temp is so hot, feels great in the cold weather. Thanks.

We would recommend Bella Springs

I am so surprised when I read pervious reviews that are just written out of pure meanness. Sounds like someone is jealous of all the really nice girls in the office. Both my roommate and myself were treated very kind and everyone in the office were so professional, so not sure why anyone would want to say such silly stuff, anyhow my main point is that Bella is really a great place! Our apartment has a killer view and the fact that one of the pools and the outdoor hot tub is heated and opened all winter is really cool. Well just wanted to say we really enjoy it here and sorry to the great office staff for anyone who wants to go around being ugly in life. We love it here!

Staff likes to swim in your money

The cosmetics of this place are quite nice but dont be fooled by this book cover, its just to lure you in. I have lived here for almost a year and I wont be coming back. This corperate apartment has so many maintenance problems that the fact it hasnt been set on fire is amazing. I have had them come in for a broken fridge, leaky sinks, flooded closet, busted water main, bad electrical, mold removal, and the lovely hole in the patio that they said they would fix promptly but yet its still there. I figure all this must have been just my room but talking to nieghbors it is not. Compensation for half these problems was resolved but the other half is "tough luck." Worst of all there internet system is flaud and they dont tell you if your late on bills untell its time to charge you extra. Than they say you have to pay, you will not recieve your origanal rent price for their mistake, and if you dont pay their fee you have to leave in 3 days! Thats bull but in the long run they will go under because you are smart enough not to deal with it, right? Good Luck P.S. trash pickup is when they feal like it and if its not on the curb even if its one foor away they WILL NOT touch it.

Very Poor Place to Live

Bella Springs was only a temporary moving solution thank goodness but I would not repeat the journey. We had to call maintenance 6 times over 7 week period to deal with leaking under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Two of those times we had come back from several days away and there was water all over the kitchen floor despite our putting a large pan under the sink and once the bedroom carpet was completely soaked. We had to kindly suggest to the office that after this many calls without the items being fixed and us paying for all the water that was leaking they might want to call an actual plumber. At the time for move out of course we were responsible for the cost of cleaning the bedroom carpet even though their poor maintenance team was responsible for the water damage and it was logged into the maintenance system that the incident had happened. Don't bother with this place.
