The worst place to live, apartments have cheap carpet, plastic and painted over counter tops. Small baby toilet. Pest infected. Drugs and crime is the every day news. Daily break in the apartments and vehicles. Management doesn't care at all of how bad this place has become. No consideration. If you are into drugs and crime this is the best place for you. Not kids friendly.

This is a transfer to another unit for me. The current management team, other than the young guy is not concerned about the residents or the appearance of the complex. There is no community feel extending from management. They need to have better systems in place for work orders, making sure they are completed appropriately. Trees are always in need of trimming, garbage is not maintained well, people are not picking up their dog poop. The main problem is that management feels they can sit behind desk and let the maintenance staff run the complex instead of fostering relationships with residents and being proactive about issues.

Just want to shout out to the Manager Jodi and of course the staff at Lakeshore. Everyone has been extremely helpful with all of our needs. My husband and I are very impressed with the professionalism the manager Jodi. We hope that others are impressed with this apartment complex and love it just as much as we have.

Absolutely a horrible place to live! I would not move back here even if someone paid me. The office staff is by far the worst thing about living there. When I moved in Debbie worked there and she was absolutely wonderful. Sometime around February or March she left. Jessica is now in the front office. She is one of the rudest people I've ever come in contact with. She will cut you off, rip pieces of paper out of your hand, and refuses to answer the phones. I called the office phone multiple times while in the car, no answer. I walked into the office not even a minute later and she's just standing around. When I confronted her about it she couldn't give me an answer as to why she ignores the phone. If you want anything, do not call!! You will not receive a callback. You will have to stop by the office to get anything done. Jodie, the property manager, is just extremely unpersonable. Do not expect a smile or "have a good day" from her. Well, either of them for that matter. The "upgrades" are extremely cheap and not well executed. Cheap vinyl stickers that go over the countertops. Cabinets had sawdust and nails in them when I moved in. Poor wall patching jobs. Paint drip marks on the walls. No effort at all went into these "upgrades". The ventilation system in the Tivoli is the worst design! There is one small vent for the entire upstairs. Needless to say it's unbearably hot up there 90% of the year. I had to buy a window AC unit. No vents in the bathroom so mold will definitely grow easily. They just hired a new maintenance guy who seems like he's trying to fix the place up. But honestly it's a lost cause. Where my unit was located there's enough parking. However, most of the complex does not have enough parking. I've had someone park by me around 8pm and ask if I had to make the trek back to the front too. Overall, it's been an extremely disappointing experience living there. I was overjoyed when I moved out. However, a month later and I'm still waiting for Greystar to refund me for the rent they overcharged me. Do not enroll in their autopay system!! Just do yourself a favor and don't move to Lakeshore period. Nothing there is luxury.

Not as advertised. No BBQ area. Pool area gate locked. Repairs done with cheap spray paint. Walls scuffed upon move in. Carpet so cheap you can see the underlayment. Very cheap renovations, counter tops painted as well as bathtub. No access to public lake. Management does not return calls about concerns.

If you want to live with cockroaches, or step on dog poop all over the grass, get bitten by mosquitoes, have knats flying around your front door, have your rent increase by over $100/mth at your lease renewal date and have MANDATORY "valet" pick up of a trashcan even if you live within steps of a trash compactor then this is the perfect home for you. I lived at Lakeshore for 3 years and my rent used to increase not much every year - maybe $50 or so. Now GREYSTAR has bought the property and my rent went up by $140 (approx) a month!!! I moved into a smaller apartment and now the new lease FORCES tenants to have "valet trash pickup" of a small trashcan that doesn't hold much trash anyway. BUT it is NOT free AND it is MANDATORY. They added $10/mth to our water bill. Did I just wake up in Russia? My apartment is steps from a trash compactor which I already pay for in my lease; now on top of that I have to pay $120/year for pickup of a small trashcan?! (see photos). Added to the MANDATORY "valet" pickup, the trashcans now attract KNATS that fly around your front door. Greystar didn't even OFFER tenants a CHOICE to have this service I DO NOT WANT. My daughter rented a Greystar apartment in another state and it was the same thing - take a service you don't want. They're reason for doing it: Management thought it was a good thing to do - Seriously? Management doesn't live here and tenants are their constituents. Whoever wants valet trash pickup can pay for it themselves. I DO NOT WANT IT. I've already signed my lease so it's too late for me but it's not too late for anyone reading this review. p.s. They have this....I don't even know what to call it....stagnant water area surrounded by trees that is unattractive, adds no beauty to the property and is a wonderful, massive breeding ground for mosquitoes. I have pics but they are just not uploading.

Very disappointed to say the least. We went in on Tuesday to view an apartment. The only one available to view was the model. The other styles you have to decide on sight unseen. We were limited in choice because of the fact that there were few bottom floors and no handicapped parking in some of the areas. We went back on Wednesday to fill out an application. I stood outside for 25 minutes while the office was locked. The sign on the door said " we are showing apartments and will return at 11:30" I could see the office personnel sitting inside , and the maintenance man said they were in a meeting. at 11:50 someone finally came out and ask what I needed. I filled out the application and was told I would be called by the end of the day and could move in on the 18th after the walk through. While I sat there filling out the application fee's one of the leasing agents proceeded to call residents saying " The eviction process begins today and you need to call the office immediately" Very unprofessional to do with prospective new tenets in the building . Its now Thursday , no one has called at all and the walk through should have been this morning. I've called 7 times in two days and the phone always rolls to voice mail. No one has returned my calls. They did however manage to take the 60.00 out of our account for applications fee's. If this is any indication of how they do business and treat residents I would be afraid to know how you are treated once moved in. I will be writing the corporate office in regard to my 60.00 back as they didn't even call for the walk through today. Horrible service.

Not sure why this place has such high ratings. I waited months for a hole in my bathroom wall (from a water leak) to be repaired. And it was only repaired after multiple attempts to get this taken care of. Maintenance and repairs have taken weeks if not months for other issues. I had water flooding into my living room and all I was left with was a bucket to have the water drip into and they told me they couldn't do anything for another week. And this was during heavy rain season.

I absolutely love living at Lakeshore apartments. The office staff are so friendly and welcoming. The size and construction for the price is unbeatable. The recent upgrades to our apartment homes and the grounds have truly defined luxury. I am convinced you will not want to live anywhere else after visiting this property.

Save yourself the aggravation and hassle and find another place! I have lived here for 15 years. This is the absolute worst management company I have ever had to deal with. AWFUL customer service. This management company and staff could truly care less about the residents. Its obvious that its about the money and not the residents. Ridiculous policies that make NO sense and seem to be in place for no other reason then to make things more difficult for the resident. The "Beach" is a total gimmick. Maintenance and repairs always seem to be shotty and "make-shift" at best. You will have MASSIVE increases in rent every time you renew. I watched my rent go up OVER $100 a MONTH multiple times when I went to renew.

I have lived here for 1 year now and compared to other places I've lived, this place is one of the best! As I'm coming close to renewing my lease I ran into some financial difficulty and caused me to be behind on my rent. When leasing manager Jessica Martinez reached out to me to offer assistance, I couldn't believe it! She asked me to come into the office to discuss my situation. We then came up with a payment plan and to keep me in the place I love to be in! Jessica was positive while remaining professional and provided me with the steps I needed to take to ensure my longevity with Lakeshore! She is a pleasure to talk to and a great asset for Lakeshore! We need more friendly and inspiring people like Jessica!! Thank you for all your help and I can't wait to renew my lease!

Save yourself the headache and moves else where. You will have constant maintenance issues. Since we've lived here our unit has flooded twice. Our neighbor also had a pipe burst and flood her unit. Another resident had to be moved because they had to jackhammer a hole in her living room to repair plumbing problems. For a very brief moment there was a capable maintenance team that was working on bringing the community to par but he i.e. Chad, is no longer working at this community and his replacement isn't even close to filling his shoes. With Chad requests were fixed quickly and correctly, new guy, 3 days after the online request was submitted, "oh, it must not have been printed yet." Cheap updates to units. Vinyl flooring that looks like wood, the SS refrigerator is tiny, the tubs and sinks are not being replaced only the hardware. The cabinets are being refinished when they need to be replaced. There is not enough storage in the kitchen or anywhere else. Yes the community features are being updated but exterior features are secondary to my primary residence and as for the new sod and landscaping it was only in certain areas and there is dog poop everywhere. Giant piles, small piles, in the grass, along the walkways, driveways, on the tennis court, EVERYWHERE. Did I mention the community water bill, yup, you pay for everybody else. They take the community bill and charge according to the size of your unit and occupancy. So although my husband and I are 2 people in a 2 bedroom we pay far more than we should; while in another 2 bedroom unit there are 6 people using far more water and paying far less than they should since only 2 out of the 6 are actually on the lease. Cliff notes: Market rent, not comparable to what's on the market Slow maintenance, office staff is ok, don't expect a lot Grounds are nice but look closely, and watch your step there's dog poop Units have been updated not remodeled. Cheap updates to old everything. Once upon a time this was a great place to live, no longer. After 8 years we are done watching this community go down hill and we refuse to pay market rent for an apartment that doesn't offer anything close to what's available in other communities.

I've lived at lake shore apartments for 8 years, I have seen a lot of different owners and I have to say the new owners are some of the best.We love what they are doing to the place, the new beach is going to be great and the grass they have put is making the place look great again. I had a maintenance issues and they send chad a new worker and he fixed the problem correctly the old maintenance men would do a patch up job. I have to say overall, we love living here and just renewed our lease. we can't wait to see how this new place turns out!.

We have been living at lakeshore for over 4 years and have had no complaints whatsoever. The apartments are huge for the price we pay and the office staff (particularly Debbie) are amazing. They recently came under new ownership and we've already begun to see positive changes. The grounds have been redone with all new grass and they have started the process of modernizing the apartments with new appliances, fixtures and flooring. The location is also excellent as it is close to the mall and uptown Altamonte. It's been a great place to live and I highly recommend.

2 Bedroom Townhouse "Trivoli" I have lived in Lakeshore Apartments for over 6 years. It is such a blessing. It is close to everything, the mall, Florida Hospital, I4 (highway), Sunrail, Lynx Bus and numerous restaurants and stores. You can walk to Cranes Roost Park which host many outdoor concerts and events. What I love best is the maintenance service they are very professional. The apartments are well kept and the grounds are well maintained. The entire staff is friendly and very attentive. Best place to rent for the price !!!

No longer worth the $$. My rent for 2 bedroom was $960, affordable & worth it for the area, even w/ the lousy landscaping & old appliances, shoddy painting inside unit & flooring in kitchens & baths. Tub in master bathroom feels like some flooring is missing underneath.. My Rent is jumping to $1159 IF I sign a new 12 month lease.. $1159 plus $50 more a month if I sign 7 month lease.. Month to Month, is $1119 plus $100 & only good for 3 months. VERY SAD to raise the rent this much.... As I really liked the community.. Neighbors are friendly... feels safe.. The property was recently sold and is now being managed by Greystar. The owner is working on cleaning the grounds and updating the interior of the units as you can see by the pictures they posted. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES. When you come in for a visit they will take you to the recently remodeled model unit. The floors look like wood in the pictures, NOT WOOD, NOT LAMINATE, ITS VINYL. What's worse is the flooring they use in the rented units is a lower grade than the one in the model. The KITCHEN CABINETS ARE FROM 1987, they have been REFINISHED NOT REPLACED, they painted them and replaced the hardware. The kitchens are SMALL with VERY LITTLE STORAGE. The BATHROOMS ARE TERRIBLE, the tubs are old and are NOT BEING REPLACED, they are doing minor updates to the bathroom only. IF YOU DECIDE TO LEASE HERE BE WARNED, INSIST ON SEEING YOUR UNIT FIRST. LOOK CLOSELY AT THE WALLS, FLOORS, FIXTURES, this community is now charging market rent, however they do not compare to what else is available in the market. What once made this place a great place to live is no longer. We were able to tolerate the old fixtures and finishes because the price per sq ft was reasonable and the location is great but now the rent is what you would pay anywhere else, but you will not get the same value for your $$. Cliff notes- High rent, low quality Great location, lack luster community Great office staff and maintenance man.

Everyone has a different experience and my experience here has been, in two words, Frustrating and Disappointing. Noise: There is no zero in the rating, so 1 star: Living in my building has reminded me why I don't like living in apartments - thin walls and noisy neighbors. And there is a $350 "fee" to transfer to a different apartment. Grounds: The grounds look beautiful but I have learned to stay off the grass because of the dog poop (HUGE to small)....maybe it is manure, I do not know. It's just plain disgusting. Safety - Outdoor lighting, clear visibility: Parking lot is dimly lit with dark corners, further darkened by shrubbery and trees. I don't go out at night by myself Neighborhood: Close to everything and I4 Maintenance: Service is fast and the crew are friendly and they get the job done. Word of Advice: ALWAYS find out (from a neighbor if you can) why the old tenants decided to move out. The end of my lease cannot come fast enough for me. -_-

I have lived here at Lakeshore for several years. My wife and I have enjoyed great customer service with the maintenance staff and office. It's a pleasure living here and the only reason I would ever leave would be to purchase my own home. I recommend Lakeshore to anyone who wants top service and a great place to call home. The truth is the staff really cares about you!
