I have lived here for 10 years; while there has been change in ownership and management during that time, I have NEVER had a problem. Fran and Debbie in the office are awesome and the maintenance staff is top-notch. I've been treated like family since day one, service calls are responded to and resolved very quickly and efficiently, rents are reasonable and the location is great. I love it here!

When it was time to move, I came to Lakeshore and that was it. I did not visit any other properties. I waited patiently 6 months to move in. The apartments are very spacious. Most importantly the property management and staff are phenomenal. The tenants are very friendly as well.

I've lived here 4 years. The ladies at the office are always very sweet and cordial. Any time I've needed anything they have been there for me. Maintenance is quick to respond to any issues in the apartment and they are very respectful and cordial as well. The property is pretty and the pool is always clean. I do highly recommend this place.

I have lived in this community for six years and love it! The staff is very professional and goes above the call of duty. If I leave for work or have an emergency the office staff is willing to help me keep an eye on my apartment. When I have needed maintenance they appear promptly. The items that have needed attention were fixed correctly the first time. The complex is always looking for ways to beautify the complex and make it a visually appealing place to live. The neighbors in the community look out for one another and safety is a community effort. I did see some negative reviews on this site but they appear to be personal in nature. Every time I go to the office, renters want to stay and talk to the staff. Tenants stay for a long time and I appreciate all the efforts made to accommodate my needs. I came to this complex from a neighboring place that was infested with roaches and been happy about my decision to move.

I have lived at Lakeshore,(formerly Archstone Altamonte Springs)almost 7 years now.I have found the staff to be pleasant and professional to me and my son. If I request service, it has been promptly taken care of. The location and convenience is above any other community I shopped before moving in here. I have been very satisfied with apartment, location, and staff.

I love this place, Sad that I'm Moving :( Unfortunately I now need 3 Bds and Lakeshore does not have any! They only have 1/1 and 2/2. I have lived here for 3 years and loved it, the community is very well kept and so are the apartments. Maintenance is very pleasant and quick to take care of any problem I had; the office staff is very friendly and they actually care for the residents! I love going to the office and having coffee and cookies, they even give out ice-pops on Fridays for the kids and they even have doggy treats!!! My dog loves going in there! :D It is a pet friendly place and they have dog stations around the community. I have really enjoyed living here and am deeply sad that I have to leave. I would recommend this place and would definitely be back if I could.

Like it here, quiet and convenient to all services. This is home to me and I feel that I can depend on help from staff and neighbors in an emergency and anytime I need help or assistance of any kind.

We have lived here for about a year. The management and staff totally spoil us. All our concerns have been more than promptly resolved. The people who live here are friendly and there is an extremely cohesive community atmosphere. This is more than an apartment complex, it is more like a large family that takes care of each other. We absolutely love it here.

I can't speak to some of the reviews I have read. My experiences living in Lakeshore apartments for two years have been absolutely pleasant. Fran and Debbie have always gone above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate me. Whenever there is a problem, it is taken care of immediately. They are two of the kindest and professional people I have ever met. The maintenance guys are very respectful as well as good at what they do. I love the area, it's very safe and quiet, as well as near everything one can imagine. It's right around the corner from Altamonte Mall, Publix, CVS, and a slew of various restaurants. It's also only a few blocks away from the interstate. I would recommend this apartment complex to any and everbody.

I moved in when it was Archstone Apaprtments. I was very happy there. Then new Management came in (Hannah)and she turned the office staff upside down. She was working on turning her staff to be like her, SNOOTY. As time went on Archstone Apartments at 210 Altamonte Bay Club Circle became Lakeshore Apartments. Fran Pucci was the on premises Office Manager. I noticed right away that things were going downhill in the complex. The roofs leaked and they did little patch jobs via a contractor. The porches had to be rebuilt yet again because of safety problems that were not done properly the first time around. When you reported a roof leak they would send a Maintenance Manager to view the damage to the ceiling as a result of the roof leak and that is where it sat. No repair was ever followed up by the office. They Power Washed the Breezeways without notifying the tenants. I fell due the fact that the water came in on my linoleum inside my doorway. i reported it to the office and Fran supposedly notified her boss Pat Fraza. I was not allowed to have a copy of the report. As time went on, the On Premises Manager and her Asst. Mgr. Debbie Parron harassed me for many weeks if not months regarding a matter that was none of their business and had nothing to do with me, or my son that lived at home with me. on March 5, of 2012 We (Me and my Son) were served a Seven Day Notice to Cure Non Compliance stating that the Altamonte Springs Police were called about loud noise coming from my apartment. I went to the Altamonte Springs Police Department to obtain the phone call made to the station. They were very nice and ran it 2 different ways. There was never any call made about a noise complaint to the Altamonte Springs Police Department for my address. I served a copy of those papers from the Police to Fran and Debbie and they were put in my file at Lakeshore Apartments. A lie made up by Fran Pucci. She (Fran) thought that she and Debbie could tell me who I could and could not have in my apartment stating that I have unauthorized occupants in my apartment, when in fact it is none of their business as long as there is nothing illegal going on in my apartment. This whole Notice made to look Legal was a threat made to me and my son who lived with me. Manager Fran lives a life of lies and her little Asst. Manager Debbie is no better than her. I STILL HAVE THE NOTICE AND PLAN TO EXPLOIT IT FOR MY OWN SATISFACTION!

My time at Archstone/Lakeshore/ (whatever they are calling themselves) was terrible. My apartment was flooded due to them drilling outside and the age of the building. The office staff is horrendous. My apartment had mold and mildew because of the water and they took months to finally get it fixed. Cell phone service sucked inside the old apartments. And the staff never answers the phone. I would not recommend this to anyone.

We moved into the complex in May into a one bedroom. May and June we had a lot of rain. The roof was leaking in our building, causing our bedroom to flood. The office was very responsive. Every time my apartment got wet during the month they would send a crew out to extract water and leave fans. After the roofers came a couple of times and could not find the leak, Fran moved us to a 2 bedroom. We have not had any problems at all since we moved into the 2 bedroom. The only complaint I have about this complex is the parking. If you get home from work late at night, parking can be difficult. I have not had any bug problems as some have stated, and not have heard or seen of any crime here. The office has always been professional, and taken care of any needs we have had.

Worst apartment we've ever lived in!
The end of our lease can't come SOON enough! We have never had more problems. I hate bugs, specifically roaches. We moved in and we literally had roaches on the counters, walls, ceiling...every time we would go in to a room we'd turn a light on first and stand back so we could see where they were running. We contacted the office, they did nothing. We contacted Corporate, they did nothing. They had "pest control" come out every time we were allowed and they sprayed under the sink in the kitchen and left. We ended up going and buying traps, spray and bombs and finally got rid of them ourselves. Every time you call "emergency maintenance" no one picks up and they conveniently (for them that is) never get the message you left them. Then you have to go to the office in person, pissed off, to get something done. I especially love when the Office manager and the young guy who works in the front laugh in your face when you go to tell them about something. The office manager hung-up on my sister one time so she went in the office and the young guy had the nerve to tell my sister she needed to learn respect. Right, because hanging up the phone while someone is talking is so respectful. Also, my neighbors on both sides apparently think it's a club and play their music so loud that the walls vibrate in the apartment. We called the office, why I don't even know, and of course it's still going on. The police are always here, there's always an incident in this complex somewhere. If it's not the horrible staff that keeps you away, crime should. The other people on here complaining about the bugs and noise are not lying, believe me. Lastly, there were squirrels in the roof. We literally complained for months before they came and stapled up this half-crap wire that they didn't even trim to try and make look decent. That was to cover the rotted out holes in the roof where they were getting in, no real fix. Do NOT move here. The city of Altamonte should shut this complex down, real talk.

Very disappointing.
Moving back to FL from CO, my wife and I chose Lakeshore (Altamonte Bay Club, Archstone) because of the proximity to things. We keep our apartment extremely clean due to the fact that we both hate roaches and other bugs and we've never seen a roach in the other places we've rented. Since we've moved here we have seen tons. Pest control is a joke. They come, they spray under the sinks, behind the toilets, and then BOOM, gone. Not the roaches, the 'exterminator'. There are constant power surges that are not due to storms. The water line to the building turns on and off all the time without notice. Very nice for when you get back from the 'gym' and are unable to shower. Gym equipment takes a good month and a half for them to fix. The neighbors are LOUD. I could go on and on. I'm very happy I'm on a short lease and only have to stick it out for a few more months, otherwise I would be looking for another place right now. Take note of when the good comments were posted, over a year ago. Apparently the place has gone downhill.

Great place to live!!!
I've lived here for 2 years and for one, the staff, including maintenance is amazing! They always fix any problems I have the same day, if not the next...And Debbie and the new girl they have, Kristine are the nicest people I have ever encountered as far as people working in an apt. community...they always work with me and give me their undivided attention. My lease is up for renewal in August and they have already told me I can keep my rent the same. I am definately staying and I have already and will continue to recommend Archstone to anyone looking to rent!

Great Place to Live !
I generally do not write reviews, however find it necessary this time. I have lived here almost 3 years now and totally disagree with some of the negative comments. I have rented several apartments and this is by far the best!! The maintenance and office staff is always quick to respond! I love the location and my apartment. My neighbors and staff are friendly and courteous. The bus stop at the end of the driveway is for all the surrounding communities, not just ours,as one reviewer had commented on. I am certain any intelligent person reading some of the negative comments would be able to quickly identify the reviews of people who possibly have been evicted or asked by management to leave.

YUCK
We went about 2.5 years ago to see these apt. I knew as soon as we drove up that we would not be renting there (ugly, old, dirty, bad element) but we looked anyway. The halls were filthy, the bad element kids were staring us down, the apts smelled like mold big time, yes they were big but I hated the whole place. It was crowded and noisy and we happened to see the school buses letting off the HUGE amount of kids and that turned me off right there! I know they were starting renovations and that is good but it doesn't help the yucky people that live there! We rented at the other Archstone on Central Pkwy, which was AWESOME. Nice clean quiet people!

Welcomed Improvement !
My friend and I have lived in this community for almost five years. We finally bought a house this year. We both had lived in several apartment communities in the past and found this to have the most spacious one bedroom floorplans. I do know when Archstone started manageing this community, improvements began right away. Alot of new items and upgrades had been added while we were there, with little inconvenience to us. We loved all of the improvements. We renewed with them knowing our service request would be taken care of quickly and efficiently. The Archstone office and maintenance staff were always friendly and professional. They always went out of their way to handle our needs promptly and make our stay their VERY PLEASANT. A BIG THANK YOU TO THEM! We would, and have recommended Archsone Altamonte Springs to anyone looking for a nice place to live and be appreciated by the entire staff.

Quite and Nicely Kept
We are tucked away on Lake Orienta away from all the noise from 436. We are walking distance to Downtown Altamonte, Crains Rooste, as well as the mall. I love my apartment- its HUGE and if I ever need anything the office is always very responsive. Archstone is a great company with high standards and I love it here!

Not worth the price at all!!!
I regret moving in here for various reasons. Where to begin... roaches, sugar ants that never seem to go away regardless of how many times i'm put on the list to have my apartment sprayed, lack of parking space after 6pm-- i literally have to park allll the way around the corner. For paying close to $950 a month, it's not worth having to deal with the lack of pest control. i've complained so many times to the office, and they just keep telling me i have to give the chemicals time to kill the bugs... but how much time does it take??? I've been here 7 months already and this is unbearable. Not only that, sinks and drains are seeming to always get clogged, some days the outlets don't even work for unknown reasons, and the neighbors above me sound like bigfoots. It was a nice place looking in from the outside, but living here has put it all into true perspective. It's not worth it at all and i'm dying for my lease to be up!!!!

STAY AWAY!!!
I moved out of there 2 months ago and now I have a collection company calling me saying I owe Archstone. Archstone never sent any notice to my roommates or myself. When I moved they said PAID IN FULL. I double checked to make sure. Now they won't even return my calls. Parking sucks there not enough spaces what so ever. Putting a fresh coat of paint on the building doesn't make it look any better. I moved out because the drug activity was so bad and management didn't care because they were getting their rent.

Okay to live here for 1 year!
Rent: This is a note on Archstone's web-site - "availability and pricing is in real-time and can change daily." YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Can you say, LOTTERY?!! During the 60 to 90 day period when available units are posted on the Archstone web-site, the prices may fluctuate from $5 up to $100 dollars. Units on the 1st floor are typically about $10 lesser than units of the same size on the 2nd floor. Prices for Units of the same size in different buildings with a couple of days difference in availability dates may be posted with different amounts. March & April seem to be the best times to move in. Poor Retention Track Record: Buildings with the highest turnover - Bldg. 311, 219, 236, 256 and 207. People have various reasons for leaving however, the former community manager even sited the majority of the reasons within the past year were due to financial issues. The bursting of the real estate bubble hit Florida hard. The drop in home values and the reversal of the apartments going condo caused most apartments to make fire-sale type offers to get people to rent with them. When folks started leaving Archstone at a higher rate then usual to take advantage of the lower prices in other apartment communities, Archstone had no chose but to lower prices. However, most incumbent residents did not realize they were being asked to pay more to stay. In some cases, the reduction in price ranged from $60 - $120/month for incoming residents verses what existing residents have to pay for the same size unit. Utilities: There is no metering system in place to measure your actual water and sewage usage; they rely on an industry accepted standard called RUG to calculate your fair share. A formula is used, which among other factors, includes the total consumption increases and/or decreases for the community. So, the company that issues the water, sewage & trash bill is not a utility company. It is simply a vendor responsible for calculating your contribution. The buildings are not well insulated. Although the air handlers were replaced in 2006, the outside air conditioning units and related plumbing are old and inefficient. If you have an issue regarding your electric bill even when you believe the increased consumption is a direct result of the malfunctioning HVAC system, the office staff becomes defensive and tries to make you believe it must be something you are doing to cause the problem. Visitors/Guests: In the lease agreement, it clearly states that guests should not stay longer than 7 days, yet people moved in and stayed for however long they desired. In many cases, office management was aware of these "live-ins" because these people had the audacity to call or walk into the office to complain and transact other business. Why should you care? These additional people inflate the overall cost of the water bills and they exacerbate an already overcrowded parking condition. Parking is the big HOTBED issue for the buildings (i.e., Bldgs. 311, 219, 312, and 207) with assigned parking. Some residents have two vehicles. There is only one assigned space per unit. Visitors just park wherever disregarding the assigned numbers on the stumps. Some real heated words have been exchanged; nasty angry notes placed on cars and door-to-door knocking to hunt down the culprit who parked in an assigned space! The most extreme action taken was a resident had a visitor's car towed off the parking lot! If you are seriously considering moving here, hopefully my review will help you make a more informed decision. I also wanted to avoid the commonplace issues, such as, loud neighbors, roaches, and staff personality issues, etc. I would not recommend Archstone Altamonte Springs as a place to call home for more than one year.
