Do not move in this apartment complex
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. They do not maintain the apartments. They ignore you if you have a problem. The maintenance staff never lasts more than a couple of months. I have complainted about the RATS for months and now they are finally in my apartment. I have found RAT DROPPINGS near the doors INSIDE my apartment. When I first moved in it took them 1 year to fix the back bedroom heater. I did not use the back bedroom much so it did not matter but after I needed then it took them a long time to fix.

Stay away. If you do not believe me ask some of the tenants that have been there a while. Check out the garbage area, pool, look at the outside of the apartment good. Ask to look at an apartment. Do not get suckered at just looking at the model. The model looks nice (clean) compared to the one you will be moving in to. I have not moved since it is a big hastle to move and I wanted my kids to go to the school that they go to. I will be moving out soon. Please heed my words. Stay away.

Stay away!!!!
At first inspection this is not a bad apartment complex but....

They do not maintain the apartments. If something breaks you will wait MONTHS to get it fixed. They bait you by showing you a nice apartment then when you get sign they take you to the real apartment. Have them show you your apartment. Take a good look around the grounds. The garbase area usually is full of trash near and around the dumpsters (old washing machines, sofas, etc). The items will stay there for months. They never keep up the pools. They are usually covered in Mustard Algae, the outside of the buildings need painted and have caused the boards on the outside to be rotten. Don't think about hanging plants outside because the boards will fall apart.

Can't wait to move
When we first got to the apartment we thought it was a pretty good deal with the washer and dryer and all. Then things took a turn for the worst. We ended up with a hole in our ceiling, water leaking in when it rained, and brown water spots on the ceiling. Two months passed during which time we called maintenance, went in to the office, wrote a letter, called the health inspector, and sent a certified letter saying we wouldn't pay the rent the next month if the problem wasn't fixed. The certified letter got some action. Their response, send someone in to spray paint the water spots and instead of fixing the actual hole in the ceiling, just patch the part where it caved in. Judging from the look of the ceiling, it happened to the people before us too. I feel sorry for the next suckers.

Not too bad!!!
We lived here right after we got married in 1999. It was a great starting place for us!!! The location was great: right across the street from Winn-Dixie and Publix. Gas stations on every corner (literally!) Fast food places around, Blockbuster video kitty corner form the complex. It was an easy drive to Avenues Mall and that area . . . the only pain was driving the opposite way towards NAS Jacksonville in the morning over the Buckman Bridge (and then back in the evening!) Overall, our experience here was great!!!
