Do You Like Airplane Noise? Ocean Walk is right next to the Key West Airport
Airplanes in and out all hours of the day or night. Hope you like the sounds of the engines while you sleep. Or step out onto the balcony and view incoming jets as they seem to come closer and closer to your apartment.

O.W.= We Rent To Anything
It is now 2010 and Lucia was FIRED. Hope she took BROOMBOY with her. Maybe Equity will wise up and fire Macia and Namrita. I mean how many leasing agents hand out the key to the apartment and never get the lease signed! If she (Namrita) would have returned just one of many phone messages left for her she could have figured it out, well maybe not, she is stupid. How many bottles of wine does it take to get a lease signed? How many bottles of wine does it take to learn to pick up after your dog? Get off the FACEBOOK! No one cares about your petty problems. The reason Ocean Walk will rent to anyone is because Equity will hire any one. Come on Equity. Get someone with a real life to run that office and let the last 2 of the stooges go. It's bad. No outside lighting. Three people in maintenance but only two work. Broom Boy just tries to sweep, boss women around and talk mean to small children. The GM's husband might wonder why his dogs don't bark when camel toes comes around. The office staff lie like a three rug circus. Forget your deposit. They charge damages that their own people cause. They don't even vacuum after a move out. Yet assure the new renter that the carpet is new. The non english speaking girl that cleans does not own a vacuum much less a rug shampoo machine. After you are gone they send a letter saying the blinds were broke and charge the $130.00 to your deposit. Easy to get in. Every one knows that they will rent to anything. A real challenge to get your deposit. Elevators never work. I mean never. If they do work some one has used them as a bathroom. If you see a body don't assume they are passed out. Dead is more like it. If you use the laundry room take a gun or a body guard. You will either be robbed or attacked. When they tell you they are getting your apartment in "tip top shape" look out. Some one just lost their deposit like you will lose yours when you move out. Don't dare call with a complaint. Over look the fact that your neighbor just let their dog take a dump outside your front door. Be glad that it was the dog this time and not her boyfriend taking a piss in the same spot the night before. You will see a lot of anatomy. Some real x-rated scenes. All the construction workers hang around at night shouting on their cell phones, beer bottles, cigg butts, urine, vomit, spit, blood, trash and don't forget the whores that roam the halls at night knocking on your door at 3 am looking for their brothers apartment. Oh! almost forgot. They do rent to convicted child molesters. Check the web site and see how many have Ocean Walk as their most recent address. We rent to anything is their motto.

THIS PLACE IS A DUMP and NO ONE CARES to do anything about it!
The worst place to live in Key West is Ocean Walk. The place is just trashy. It's old, it needs major maintenance, the staff doesn't care and the rents keep going up and up for something that resembles a trailer park. The police won't even venture here to check up on the latest break in or domestic dispute. And if you go out after dark, I hope you carry something for self defense. There have been numerous violations reported to Equity (the management company) including safety concerns (th elevators never work) to health issues (mold and water leakage into apartments). They would rather spend their money elsewhere and it shows because the lack of maintenance is astonishing. This is not a place to raise a family or to live alone - actually it isn't a place I would send my worst enemy to live. And the rent is way to high for these scuzzy units!

Seriously...
I've lived in Ocean Walk for 3 years, and you have to be kidding with all these reviews. If you dont like it, leave, no one wants you here anyway! I dont understand all the reviews, everyone complaining about Ocean Walk this Ocean Walk that, maybe if you cleaned up after your self it might be half decent! Maybe work orders may take a couple days to complete, but does anyone understand that we are 2 hours away from the mainland, and it might take some time to get things done around here. If you want to go shopping at a mall, how long does it take you to get there??? The same amount of time it takes truck loads of important merchandise to get here so things can get done. How about everyone works together, and this place wouldnt be so bad. Seriously if you want to leave, get out!!!!

What a bunch of whiners
Ocean Walk is exactly what you would expect the cheapest apartments on the island to be like. However, I have not experienced anything terrible. Just a bunch of "Workin Folk". Anyone that doesn't like it, feel free to get a trailer on Stock Island. Maybe then you will have a true sense of the ------. :)

OCEAN WALK HAS GONE TO THE CONTRACT WORKERS
I moved here in 2005, and since then, and Hurricane Wilma, things have gone downhill. I hear numerous complaints about the staff and the maintenance, but my roommates and I treated them with great respect as people, and we had great results. We complained often, in fact, called the police about seven times in two months on ONE neighbor below, but nothing happened. Finally, my roommate had a nervous breakdown over loud music playing through the floor, that he decided to leave, which left all of us to leave as well. The place has become trashy. People are living way too high to fire marshall standards (8-10 a room) and the IDC employees (construction) people are all under contract to live there, and trash it with beer cans, bottles, vomit, and dirt, as well as break the laundry machines, and give the place a general loitering atmosphere. I have grown tired of feeling like this as well, and have decided to leave. Even the manager had her private parking place blocked, and every night expect to hear cars peeling out, as well as people playing with car alarms and blasting rap music. Choose Wisely, Grasshopper...

PEOPLE ARE KILLED AT OCEAN WALK!
I had lived in Ocean Walk for a number of years and every year I watched as things went down hill. Many of us know of the poor managment and the poor upkeep of the complex, but you really need to read the obituraries in the local paper!!! Three people have been attacked and killed in this complex. Is this really where you want to live???? Just recently a man was found dead up on the fourth floor near the entrance to the roof. You will pay well over $1600 a month for a place that resembles the MONROE COUNTY JAIL. My apartment was full of mold and half the time maintenance would never come to take care of it. My A/C froze up and when I called for service, well the guy came in and was more interested in my personal belongings then the problem with the A/C. Believe those comments that have been written before this one, this is not a place for you. If anything would be wished for it would be that a hurricane would wipe that dump off the island along with it's incompetant managment staff who will do nothing but smile to your face as they bleed you dry.

Unfit for living/slumlords
The only thing they do not do is slam the gate at night like some prison.

Crazy neighbor next door. We used to call it the junky pool because of the people it attracts. Carpets in hallways are disgusting and moldy. The office staff was a total nightmare. I worked long and hard to get the place back to better than when I entered it , they did me the luxury of keeping all but 150 dollars. No damage whatsoever, either.
The staff was inconsiderate and dowright rude half the time. Tom, the maintenance man is the most ungracious person I have ever met. The lawn is always soaked. Two people have died there in two years. One suicide, (I can see why!)
I would not recommend it to an enemy.

You can hear people using their toilets constantly. Absolutely the worst I have ever been involved with.

VOMIT IN HALLS, ILLEGALS IN UNITS. UNFIT FOR HUMANS TO LIVE!
I have had vomit in the halls and illegal alien painter and construction workers (I have been told they are --------) living 10 to a 2 bedroom unit in this ------. There is severe overcrowding, parking is a nightmare, the common areas are filthy, the tenants are loud and every night you will see at least 20 people on their balconies yelling into cell phones while using a charcol or gas grille, a strict violation of the rules. Very poorly managed - they even fired one manager for opening up mail of the tenants including a police officer! They have no committment to the property or the tenants. Maintenance is a joke and management is useless. I have reported numerous violations to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations, the Monroe County Health Department and to our local newspaper, The Key West Citizen. I hope they fined and that managment is fired for incompetance.

My friend was attacked in her apt
My friend and co worker was attacked by some crack crazy mexican guy who is in the USA illegally Oct 2006 and these clowns rented to him and about a hundred others. The manangement did not even care! She opened the front door of her apt and he attacked her - bit her 2x's and slammed her against the wall! Now he is serving 2 years in prison at the taxpayers expense! Thanks Ocean Walk - you suck! I am MOVING OUT!

Having alot of problems
Im living in Ocean Walk right now, and I have to say DONT LIVE HERE. Im even on the smaller side by the pool. I keep reading about the head office women, and you all are right she is #@*^!!!! She honestly just doesnt care about us. Our carpet needed to be redone ever since you have moved in here and that was 4 months ago!!! Then about 3 weeks ago our hot water heater broke, it was leaking water into our closest. They cut a hole in the wall to try top fix it and still havent come to fix the hole or clean the carpet in the closet of the mildew. This place is a dump. I hope that you consider all of these comments on this trashy place and DONT rent from here!

Dont live here
I know many of you reviewing this are probably like myself. It is hard to see a place until you actually get there but please go somewhere else. This place is very trashed out. The overall appearance of the place is trashy. All the buildings are old and very unkept. The concrete in the buildings are always dirty and not maintained. There are numerous occasions where the maintanence work never gets completed satisfactory. The insides of the apartments are old and dirty as well. For the money you are paying do some extra research and find a cheap house up the keys a little ways or maybe even around the center of the island. I would not want anyone who is new here to have to go through what I did.

Take Care Of Your Own Home
OceanWalk is like anywhere else - just what you make of it. 3920, the larger of the two buildings, tends to get dirty (saliva on the floor, beer bottles in the elevator, trash blowing around) primarily because some of the people living there treat it like a ------. My guess is they don't pay full rent - it's "limited income". My wife & I lived there for a year; maintenance requests were slowly answered, mainly, we were told, because the two (only two!) guys working on it were too busy cleaning up every day.)
3910, the smaller building, is much nicer. Only 2 stories - so less people - and larger apartments, so more families.
The office staff is pleasant enough - like anyone else, they don't respond well to continual complaints about high rent and noise. (Welcome to Key West! -Everywhere- is expensive.)
Our place is right at the end of the airport runway, so it's noisy sometimes during the day. But the pool is close, the view is great, and everything works for us.

guys save your money. the worst i`ve ever seen
the worst i`ve ever seen in my life. very dirty and noisy. management doesn`t take any care of the place. woman working in the office is such a b#$@*. it is a real dump. people save your money. i signed the lease for a year and couldn`t take it. had to leave earlier. pool is a whole different story. people sleep there during the night and a few times i saw them having sex right in the pool. do u really wanna swim there after! there are 10 people staying in a 2 bedroom apartment. very noisy. u just can`t relax after a day at work.
go to las salinas, they do take care of the place and it is right across the street. they have a security guard, very clean and nice place. the pool is very nice and clean and they don`t let anyone stay there past 10 pm.

------, not maintained, loud, very poorly managed
This place would have sooooooo much more to offer if it was kept. I have lived here for over two years and yes it's the cheapest place to move into but after the first months rent you will clearly see that it's over priced. Trash clean up is not something these people believe in.... barking dogs.... kids peeing in the pool the list goes on! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is a DUMP
They never fix anything!! this place stinks really bad. They say that they will evict you if your dog poops everywhere but they never do. There is no parking the arpartments are way small for the price. It is a gross place to live I would not tell a friend to live here. I would rather pay and extra 300 to live some where else.

SUPER PLACE TO LIVE
If you must live in Key West you must live here. Housing prices are astronomical so if you don't make at least $100,000 you must live in an apt. A one bedroom condo sells for over $500,000 (or $3000/month) yet you can live in Ocean Walk for less than half that price. Its clean and safe.

BEST PLACE IN KEY WEST!
The staff is good but the maintenance guys are fantastic! I got new appliances, floor tile & grout. They are always there asap! Needs to have more parking or at least see that parking laws are enforced. How to make it better? Ban ALL dogs - they are a nusiance and no one should own one in an apt complex. Also need to patrol more and have a better screening process to eliminate the riff-raff and the obnoxious military scum. Otherwise very safe and love the staff!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!
I have an ocean view, spacious closets, quiet neighbors, friendly staff and great COVERED parking - all of which you can't get at my old address at West Isle. They really are terrible so if you plan amove to Key West, pice OCEAN WALK and NOT WEST ISLE!

EVERY SINGLE REVIEW HERE SAYS STAY AWAY! FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T MOVE HERE!
Not every reviewer can be wrong and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I am leaving after living here for a number of years because I just can't take it anymore! I am tired of the constant partying, the trash, the noise, the uncleanliness and the overall slum conditions that Ocean Walk has become. It is the laughing joke of the island - NO ONE WILL ADMIT TO LIVING AT OCEAN WALK! Unless you want to be ridiculed. Even employers won't let their valued employees like here unless, of couse, you are illegal and want to live 12 to a room. Just like all the contractors, this place is terrible. The worst trailer park is a step up from this hell hole and I am sorry to say it isn't going to change soon. I only wish management would do something but they don't care. The office is run by incompetant young kids who don't know how to do their jobs or care in the least except to get their paychecks. Really sad. I only hope the rumour is true and this place will go condo in a year and that will kick out everyone and let a better class of people come in and redo the whole place. That or just knock it down and start over. I can only hope!

You gotta be kidding
I just moved out of Ocean Walk almost 2 mos ago and all I can say is whoever said it is the best in key west must be F^%$% nuts! That place smelled bad, no working elevators and talk about illegals - they were full to the brim - no one on my floor spoke English and the pool was a mess and the parking lot is a dumping ground. I think anyone who moves in that place must be the most desperate lowlife. Live anywhere but Ocean Walk - you have been warned!
