The office staff is awful. We tried renting there and kept getting mixed information from the staff. I require a service medical dog and also have a regular small dog. One staff member told us it was ok to have both and then the other claims either one or the other. Except as per the law , if a person has a documented disability that requires a medical service dog, Then pet laws/rules do not apply. Therefore my regular dog would be considered a pet and I pay a deposit of 600 for her. My service dog is not a pet and can not be charged a fee. Anyways after providing medical record info...which is illegal, letter from my doctor and service dog center. I was told even more info was needed. I was also sent several emails rushing me by a staff member because our apartment was going to be rented to someone else. I find it odd also that they tell several ppl that they require a double deposit but you apply elsewhere and that's not the case. Also they claim you can not see an apartment model until your move in date, they can't tell you apartment info until move in date either. In the end, we never moved there over discrimination over my service dog...totally illegal and one staff member sends an email to go pick up my 100 dollar holding fee money order. My husband goes to get it and they claim they don't have it to call corporate that it was not there. Very shady place.

To whom it My concern: 1) Parking spaces are worse every day, use by visitors or possible people who do not live here, they do not have the parking ticket permit. 2) We are paying for a fast internet and its constant stops working and there is no speed to watch a video and I have done multiples tests and I do NOT have the speed that I am paying for. I had made multiples phones calls to the company that offerrs the Internet service (Moombean) and still providing low quality service, the same thing happens with the cable provider. I like the apartments and the community, but I hope these problems can be solved sometime soon. Thank you.

I have lived here for about 2 years now. To say that this place is perfect, I would be lying. Then gain there is no perfect place. With that being send, I find the location to very convenient for shopping, eating out and entertainment. I find the staff professional and very helpful. There was a comment made in a recent review that the staff and maintenance crew is all Latinos and speak Spanish. This is true, however they also speak English. If someone has an problem the staff being Latino, they are the ones with the issues. In fact, stop spreading your negativity and move out. Anyway, this place is pretty good and the staff is wonderful. Oh, I almost forgot, the one bad thing about this place is the internet. It is upsetting when your working on a project, work or try to read your email and the internet goes out and unfortunately it happens too often.

I've lived here in 2007 and now in 2014 and I have to say that I just love this place! There is no other community other then the luxury communities that look as good as this one. The apartments itself is very spacious. The office staff is very friendly I don't seem to understand why people feel the need to say that they are Latino's why everything has to be racial? So what!! it's a convenience to everyone when you have people that speak more than one language. If you feel like someone is going to steal your money then get money orders and keep the receipt for every single time you make a payment. That way if something does get missed place you have prof that you paid it! it's that simple. To me as long as my work orders are getting done I don't care if they only speak Japanese I'm happy. The schools are very good centrally located to everything. Aside from all that when I rent a place I'm looking for something that I like to call my place from the moment I step in my door not from the outside on. I have never had any problems with the office staff they have always been friendly every time I've had to go in the office. I love to see how people complain so much about a certain place where they lay their head at night or even better where they have decided to raise their child! If you are looking for a nice community, Friendly service, and the perfect location then Summer Lakes is the place for you!!

Worst place I have EVER lived. Management is horrible, neighbors for the most part are just as bad, and to some unknown reason they seem to think its alright to keep raising prices on your CONTRACTED AMOUNTS. The gyms are run down and one of which has a prominent mold smell to it. I suggest living in a cardboard box behind the Walmart that its next to before moving into this hell hole. Worse than a ---- camp. I SUGGEST ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

Summer Lakes Big Fail
Big fail new management every year... the newest by far sit on there fat --- and do nothing about the complaints they recieve the community was nice but now looks like a land fill the residents do not take care of the property and are making it worse day by day they tried to go green well now it looks green (not in a good way)the stench coming from the supposed recycle bin which is being used as a garbage can that over flows into the street only gets picked up once a week.. oh yea i forgot the magets that are on the side walks while you walk your pets are disgusting. Also sit and wait for repairs. there allowing rif raf to move in and summer lakes is not a great place to live... try calling there phones no one ever seems to answer and the doors are always closed saying will be back in 10 but try more like closed all day.

Do not rent from here! Avoid!
The only positive thing about these apartments are they are a decent size. The negatives? Plenty. The neighbors are all obnoxious. They raise your rent whenever they want. They force you to use their internet, which is awful and cuts out constantly, and since everyone is using it it's slow. My car was vandalized twice. My apartment was almost broken into while I was home, the cops had to come take the guy away. My upstairs neighbor has a huge rottweiler that growls and lunges at you and he lets it out without a leash, so if you have kids, be careful! The people who have dogs don't pick up after them. The people that work in the leasing office aren't friendly and they constantly make mistakes with your rent checks. No matter how nice you leave your apartment you will never get your security deposit back. Maintenance does not come fix things, ever, I had my closet door that wouldn't stop falling off, I had to end up just taking it off and leaning it against the wall because they never came to fix the track, after 2 months of continuously making a work request. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ELSEWHERE! ANYWHERE!

Summer Lakes The Worst Place to Live, if you care about where you live.
They are th laziest, nastiest leasing management team I've ever seen. I wish River Park was still open down town, I'd rather live there. Summer Lakes is infested with roaches! INFESTED!! crawling on you in your sleep, and no I'm not a dirty person, they are not from me. The day I got keys to my new apartment, I had to clean the apartment and rent a rug doctor to clean the carpet for my 6 month old son at the time. It was filthy and I killed 47 roaches that day. I repeatedly called and complained but the pest control came in, sprayed a couple cabnets in the kitchen and left. No hello, no goodbye. I called and complained about the pest control team, they never addressed the issue. Finally, when they raised the rent, that was the last straw. The apartment was not worth what I waas paying much less $50 more a month!!!! I moved out and shortly received a claim against my deposit, for carpet cleaning, apartment cleaning, etc. Mind you, I already paid out of my pocket to clean the carpets on move in. When I dod the walk through upon moving out, the stupid, incompetent management team did not even write anything on the damage/cleaning list. They're all morons. This place is Hell on earth. I'd rather take my son and live in my car. NOT EXAGGERATING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT SAFE!
Our lease is up in a month! we are so excited! The year we spent here with our NEWBORN (who is turning 1) was absolute hell. I do not feel safe in this place. I have the same complaints: Drug dealers, loud obnoxious people hanging outside and they're your neighbors and your neighbors friends, witnessing public pot use, group of people hanging out at the pool at night having sex, coke dealers, pot dealers, prescription pill dealers...roaches in microwave, kitchen, bathrooms... paper thin walls. Our neighbors would wake up our baby at night...you never heard silence...always stomping during all hours of the day and night. We called the cops, complained to the office, demanded they do something about it...and NOTHING...the people ended up not renewing their lease (thank God!) but the office had no intentions of doing anything after 7 months of complaints!!! This place seemed nice but turned out being a nightmare for us. Everyone we knew that lived here moved out, broke their leases, etc..they hated it too. Thats about 6 families we knew that left because it was horrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

"Thank you for calling Summer Lakes Apartments, It's a terrible place to live, this is a tenant speaking..."
When looking for an affordable apartment one usually relies on the internet to assist in their search. They compile a list of promising places and make their calls. "Thank you for calling Summer Lakes, it's a great place to live..." is the greeting a prospective tenant receives when calling the main office. Friendly enough. My fiance and I were more than enthused to view this property with affordable housing, friendly management, and spacious apartments. We really should have researched the place more before we signed our lease. Looking back, I find it odd that we were not given a tour of the property; only the units. We were so excited after seeing the layout of the unit and were offered a $99 deposit so we signed ASAP. Our first week we realized that most of our neighbors were undesirable; loud, ignorant, rude, and untidy. We turned our cheeks and thought it was a small price to pay for living in such a nice and affordable unit. As time went on we noticed more and more undesirable qualities of the property such as deplorable and rancid pool conditions, roaches, and dangerous work out equipment in the fitness rooms. On the internet, Summer Lakes advertises "State of the art fitness equipment." In total (both fitness units) there are 4 treadmills; two that work and one with a frayed belt (very dangerous), one elliptical; that doesn't work, one bike; that doesn't work, and two all-in-one weight machines; all of which are broken and dangerous. The office has removed all of the safety pulls that require the machines to turn on, you need to get it from the front office which means you cannot workout after 5pm and can't workout at all on Sunday. There is a card to get you in the fitness room, too. We were told that if we use it before 6am and after 9pm then an alarm would be tripped and the police would come. Well, there goes my early morning workout (if I wanted to use their broken down machines, that is). We have never encountered any bugs of any type EVER in any home we have ever lived in but in the first month we were here we noticed a few roaches in our kitchen. We called the front office to complain and they had an exterminator come out to treat our kitchen. The apartment comes with a mounted microwave. We went through 4 of their microwaves before buying our own. There were roaches residing in the number display on the button pad. We asked for a brand new microwave and they kept giving us one from their infested storage unit. It only got worse from there until our kitchen and bathroom next to the kitchen became infested. Aside from all of that, we had issues with our neighbors selling drugs just underneath us on the sidewalk. This happens on a regular basis there. When we reported it to the office they suggested we move into their newer second phase, speaking as if it were some exclusive club. I think not. It's only a matter of time before that, too, is infested. Last month, there was a robbery across from our building where the tenant was beaten. There is ample parking, but many families have more than two cars and some apartments have up to 6 people with cars living in them (my neighbor) Good luck finding parking within reasonable distance. As far as rent payment, they prefer to be paid via check or money order. Be careful when paying in check. We were told upon signing our lease that the check is processed the day you pay with some machine that reads the magnetic account and routing number on the check. Untrue. One month, our rent check wasn't processed for two weeks after we delivered it ON TIME. We then inferred late fees which accrued more late fees because they hadn't notified us for TWO MONTHS. (total of 463.00 in fees) The office management is fully aware of all of the issues going on. Why nothing is done about it is beyond me. This is NOT a great place to live. It is overrun with hoodlums hanging outside being loud and smoking pot. The walls are extremely thin and you hear your neighbor's phone conversations. For a year we had to live with listening to our neighbors having sex and pounding the walls until our family photos fell off. And lastly, we decided not to renew our lease. Out of respect, we gave the office a two month notice at which point they said our 12 month lease was up by the end of the month. I reviewed my lease, which says it is a 12 month lease but dated for 10 months. This is how they get you to spend more money on renewing or prorating for another two months. We signed Nov. 1, 2009. It is now September and we have to scramble to get out of here, unprepared. On a positive note, the office staff IS very nice. The property manager is very understanding. I believe that many things that happen here are beyond her control and the company that owns the property doesn't provide enough money to make this place as safe and comfortable as it should be.

Summer Lakes is not a great place to live. They allow pretty much ANYBODY to live here so that means every peice of crap in naples lives here. they have no standards. The cops are here all the time, you hear people fighting and screaming in the parking lot, threatening each other, cussing each other out...even the little kids are fighting here. There are druggies everywhere...drug dealers etc... they had a freakin cop tower parked in front of the leasing office for about a month. Your neighbors are most likely going to be jerks-- partying all the time, stomping, yelling, and slamming doors... make sure you check out all your options...I agree with all the reviews so far. I've seen what a ------ is..this isn't a ------ but it definately is Naples' version of one. It's better than Tuscan Isle off Davis though. Prices are good but the people and environment sucks. We've been living here for 4 years and it used to be nice but unfortunately things have gotten pretty crappy.

Slum Lakes Apartments
Lived here for three years (unfortunately) and have seen the decline. I am surprised by not seeing a more recent review, good or bad. The "turn-over" rate this past year is astounding. Not knowing who your neighbor is from one day to the next, you'd think these apartments are rented by the day or hour. A lot of traffic and "trafficking" which keeps the Sheriff busy. The "amenities" advertised state they have "resort-like" pool's and "fitness centers" - LOL on that. Countless times have we seen algae growing to the point where there are dead frogs floating - no joke. The fitness rooms are not much bigger than a closet with broken equipment. They also have a constant problem with garbage, or with the tenants not being able to dispose of their garbage "IN" the dumpster, hence every day there is a pile of raw garbage in front of dumpster & parking area. The walls & floors are not sound proof adequately so there is a lot of noise from above or below, not to mention the wonderful bass kickers in the trunks of cars that have "22" rims and "Straight Pimp'n" logo's, that cruise the complex..Nice.. If your looking for that "Projects" or "Section 8" feel to a place. Want to feel like your part of the "Hood"...Welcome Home

Keep Looking...this place is horrible!!
My family and I lived there for 4 years. Once they cleared out MOST of the drugs and dealers, it was better. The management there were so helpful and cooperative. All of that changed once the new management came in, Claire and all of her assistants. It was almost impossible to actually speak with her. The entire staff, to include the property manager, talked to the tenents with such disrespect and disregard. We are the ones that were keeping their jobs going. They harassed tenents that had outstanding records with them and caused no problems whatsoever. I no longer live there because of how we were treated. They are very discriminating against people who are not their nationality. Lookers...beware.

Indicative of Richman Property
Wow, my fiance and I were considering moving to one of their properties in Pinellas Park, Fl. Were, being the operative word. I was skeptical at first when I read some of the ratings for their sister property, Belleair Place in Clearwater, Fl. I thought maybe they were written by some disgruntled tenants. Well, to ease my mind I drove to Belleair Place and checked it out for myself. Well, the pool was the color of Pea Soup. And closed. I know they operate "affordable" communities, but when did "affordable" mean that you are forced to live in deplorable conditions? I think I will keep looking.

THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE, ITS LIKE A PRISON
I have been living here 6 month and i can tell you the management here are the most uncaring and cold people i think naples have, first of all they all think they are HOTSHIT because they come from HIALEAH.. and they all got a case of "i got a little authority" kinda syndrom going on... they find as MANY ways to FINE YOU as POssible.... You have no boundaries of personal space because they want to know why you have guests at you house, why do you have all these people helping you to move, and if youeven put your shoes outside you dorr if they get wet..to dry they go in the garbage... If you like to "hate" you living situation, please come on in,,,,,i should have known better when i saw all those people moving out when we came to view the property!!!RENT 855 for a two bedroom washer/dryer 40 bucka a month cable 40 bucks internet 40 buckas a month...your better off living in FOREST GLENN county club for 1000 a month w a Nice washer/dryer, free cable , a golf view and 1400 square feet of space!!!!! Oh and the picture dont show you the glass and cigarette butss in the playground!!!!

Rather sleep in my car...
C.A. is the worst manager, she thinks she owns the building complex. treats all the residents poorly. constantly spying, and repremanding and overbombrding with rules and regulations. a very disrespectful woman and discriminatory. A lot of suspitious doings in the way she runs her own office. Someone needs to look into this. a lot of people are not renewing and will not rent. if it weren't for the management, then it would be a better place to live in.OH I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS IS SUMMER LAKES (2)IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE YOUR IN A PRISON GO AHEAD AND MOVE THERE WITH C.A MANAGMENT YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!! WORST MANAGER EVER!!!! (SUMMER LAKES 2)
ITS A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE, IF YOU LIKE TO LIVE IN A PRISON. THE MANAGER RIGHT NOW (C.A.) TREATS YOU LIKE A PRISONER. FOR EXAMPLE YOU CANT BE OUTSIDE IN THE HALLWAYS TALKING ON YOUR CELL PHONE AFTER 9PM AND YOU CANT DRIVE IN AND OUT OF THE COMPLEX A LOT AT NIGHT BECAUSE YOUR "TRAFFICKING"(ACCORDING TO HER) SO ITS KIND OF LIKE SHES GIVING YOU A CURFEW AND YOU CANT DO THIS AND YOU CANT DO THAT AND I COULD GO ON AND ON ALL DAY ABOUT THE THINGS SHE HAS PROBLEMS WITH. SHE IS A VERY RUDE PERSON AND VERY DISCRIMINATING (RACIST). SHE HAS A PROBLEM WITH EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING. SHE THINKS SHE OWNS THE PLACE. NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE THERE BECAUSE OF HER. THANK GOD I AM MOVING VERY VERY SOON AND I DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER EVER AGAIN. BUT BESIDES ALL THAT, THE APARTMENTS ARE NICE AND NON-EXPENSIVE. THE ONLY THING IS THAT AFTER 9PM THE PARKING LOT GETS FULL AND YOU HAVE TO PARK VERY VERY FAR FROM YOUR BUILDING.OTHER THAN THAT, ITS A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD TO RAISE YOUR CHILDREN IN, BUT AS LONG AS THAT LADY IS THERE I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE INTO SUMMER LAKES BECAUSE SHE WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL. TRUST ME.
