What a place. We went to office to talk about renting an apt. All was nice, They had a decent apartment(model)so we decided to sign lease.Well, management flew over it io get us signing and in our apt. We'll start with parking"you have to carry groceries for quarter mile sometimes. No assigned parking. Then the kids running through breezeways at all times yelling and carrying on. But Management talked me into signing 14 month lease, sounded like a good deal so I did. Paid my bills always on time, never late for any.10 months into my lease I lost my job (due to economy)and I did all I could do.Was struggling, but managed to make it through 12 months.Advised management well ahead of time what was going on.So now I had my 2 extra months left but couldnt afford to stah,Had to move out of state.Next thing I know I'm getting sued for 6,000 dollars.3,00 For discounted rent. Management has no heart for tennants, maintenance comes in your unit when you aren't home(caught them 3 times) but management lies and swears by them. All they do is ride in golf cart and pick up trash.I could go on forever but there is no use.Forgot to mention the mold which was unbearable.Really bad

Horrible Management
i was very excited to move in. everything seemed great at first. the staff was friendly and all the neighbors were nice. however; as soon as we had problems the maintenance man never watned to fix any of the problems. he would make excuses and even try to say the problem was because of something we were doing. he once even entered our home after we specifically told him and the management we wanted to be home while he was there. the office staff was very friendly as we were moving in. this quickly changed though as soon as we were settled in. the property manager is rude and snippy. when she talks to you she treats you like a child. she acts like your dumb and dont know what youre talking about. there never is any parking. and the management never does anything about people with trailers. or people who constantly have guests over. kids are always running around the parking lot. backing out is a nightmare when they are out. and there is never any parents around. i would not reccomend anyone living here. this has so far been an awful experience and i cant wait until my lease is up .

Not what they seem!
DO NOT rent here is you enjoy privacy and a good night's sleep. The walls are paper thin; although the management will tell you there is concrete between them. That is not true, only the floors are concrete. The entry doors are thin and every sound and foot print in the stair wells is as loud as if it were in your own foyer. The parking lot is always full of trash. There is garbage left in the stairwell and just yesterday I walked out the front door to find a beer bottle cap laying at my foot. I have also found condoms in the parking lot. Last week the manager wrote a letter to everyone in this building about the loud noise, late parties, late night coming and going. The parking lot is full of cars with loud mufflers and motorcycles with loud pipes. This week two cars had items stolen out of them and a young little girl was approached by 2 strange men in a pick up truck. Parking is also a nightmare. There are dozens of cars parked on the curbs every night. There is someone to paint and body work in their garage and others that are re-building motors and performing mechanical work on motorcycles and vehicles in their garages. I would not recommend living here under any circumstance!

I like it
Renting at Lyme Stone Ranch has been nothing but a positive experience for me. I have lived there a little over a year now. Management has been nothing but nice to me and always fixes anything I need very promptly and professionally. They always return my phone calls in a timely manner. I have yet to experience any mold problems, but, I also keep my apartment circulated. You do live in Florida so there is a possibility you can get mold either in a house or an apartment. So, as long has you keep your windows open, fans going, or air conditioner on there should be no problem. Now, if management tells children to go inside it is probably due to the parent s lack of supervision. I have called a few times because I was tired of hearing 11 and 12 year olds using profane language. I have come close to hitting a child on a skateboard. Yes, there is no playground, but the parking lot is not one either. If anything I think they parents should take more responsibility in controlling their kids and not management.

WATCH OUT!
Do NOT rent here-unless you enjoy mold, loud neighbors and unprofessional management. The manager has a drinking problem and has been seen after hours diving naked into the hot tub-nice family atmosphere. They change their minds daily and even though something is in the contract, they will still charge you for some uneccessary fee. They are unfair and unreasonable. The apartments themselves are newer, but have a huge mildew problem. Mold everywhere. Walls are paper thin. LSR seem to attract a not so nice crowd-lots of drug dealings in the parking lot. I have lived in apartments before and Florida and never seen a more unprofessional place. I would definetely stay far away from Lyme Stone Ranch.

NO!
Lyme Stone Ranch looks very upscale and nice from the outside..I have never lived in a more miserable place. They really need to be condemned. The mold is terrible, had mold growing on all walls, including the closet. Even had mold start growing up from the carpets. It made me, my husband and daughter very sick..daughter was put on an inhaler. We have since moved out and my daughter has not had one issue with her coughing. THe pool has been shut down at least twice by the health department. Forget living here if you have kids--you will be harrassed like you wouldn't believe. Neighbors yelling at the kids, the manager yelling at them-even telling them to play inside during the summer at 3pm. I wouldn't even take them to the pool anymore because they get yelled at for doing any little thing. Came home one time early only to find the maintenance man inside my apartment with no appointment. Claimed he was inspecting the patio. I would NEVER recommend these apartments to anyone--they are very overpriced and miserable.

Major Mold Problem!
Don't let this place fool you...I've been living here for almost a year now. I couldn't wait to move in to this place and now I can't wait to move out. First I noticed the parking problem. If you are out past 6:00 you can forget finding a parking spot anywhere close to your apartment. You might get lucky to find one on a Friday night...when most people are out. Next, kids are consantly playing in the parking lots dangerously close to the cars. The kids run through the halls and all you can hear is loud voices echoing througout the building. Also, when the school bus drops the kids off in the afternoon...the kids will linger infront of your vehicle while cars are backed up trying to get into the complex. They even turn around and look and laugh why you are waiting for them to move. Some of this is a parental issue I'm sure but some is due to the lack of planning that came with building this apartmet complex. They need a playground and some sidewalks to eliminate some of these issues. Next, the walls seem paper thin. I can hear my neighbor opening and shutting her kitchen cabinets next door. I can hear the toilet being flushed above me and people walking around. I also constantly hear someone outside shutting their door but it sounds like they're slammng the door. Most importantly, the past few months we have had a major mold problem in both bedrooms...and it was attributed to the dew on the windows but it poors through like a waterfall...and now we have mold all around the windows and down the wall and it even grew all the way back into the closet. We called the manager in to take a look and the only thing she said was we needed to wipe the windows down every day and keep the air and fans on. They came in and painted over the mold. I can't even go in the spare bedroom anymore...it gives me such a headache! Now I've noticed the same issue in my bedroom and I'm having major allergy problems. Keeping the air on and wiping down isn't enough. Lot's of people have complained about the mold issue and nothing is being done about it. They just cover it up and we shouldn't have to use our towels every day to wipe down the windows...that's a job in itself and leaves the towels soaked. We pay way too much rent to put up with this and noone should live this way. We are moving out soon.

Been there for year and love it
I was one of the first residents to move in when the apartments opened and lived here for the past 4 years. I have found that staff to be very responsive to problems - including problems regarding out of control kids destroying the landscaping and playing dangerously close to cars. Parking is a bit of a problem but all that means is that people will have to walk a few extra feet to get to their apartment.

FAMILY FRIENDLY! WHAT A JOKE
We moved there from another state, told it was family friendly. Constant complaints about the kids, and yet their is no playgroud or any space for the kids to play. Kids need to be kids, All of the children managed to get along and play together its to bad that the residents and the staff couldnt do the same.

PARKING AND KIDS PLAYING IN PARKING LOT INSTEAD OF PLAYGROUND
I WORK NIGHTS SO THE PARKING DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A PROBLEM BECAUSE I COME HOME IN THE MORNING WHEN EVERYONE IS LEAVING. BUT DEAR MOVE YOUR CAR FOR FIVE MINUTES AND YOU WILL COME HOME AND THERE WILL BE NO WHERE TO PARK. ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKENDS THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK AT ALL. ALSO PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE WHO VISIT THE POOL DRINK BEER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY WHILE OTHER TENENTS ARE TRYING TO SUN BATH. THE OFFICE STAFF DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE BECAUSE THEY ARE AOUT THERE FOR LUNCH EVERYDAY AT 1:00 AND SEE THIS GOING ON. ALSO KIDS DO PLAY IN PARKING LOT WITH BASKET BALLS AND REMOTE CONTROL CARS IN STEAD OF PLAYING NEAR THE PLAYGOUND. SO WHEN YOU DO COME OR GO YOU HAVE TO WATCH YOU DON'T RUN THEIR CARS OVER AND A BASKET BALL DOES NOT HIT YOUR CAR.

I would not do it again.
I have lived in Lyme Stone since March and will not renew my lease. The rent is outrageous an there is NEVER ANY PLACE TO PARK. This is because they built garages over all the spaces and want to charge an additional $100. Nobody rents them. Lyme Stone SUCKS>

Mold and Mildew All over Walls
While these are new apartments, mildew and mold grows rampantly on the walls. Calls to the office only yields them coming by with a spray bottle of bleach and wiping down the walls. No measures have been taken to determine why this is happening or to seek a permanent solution. If you value your health, seek housing elsewhere

I have lived in many different apartment communities and can say living here has been the best experience ever. Beautiful apartments, great pool and Jacuzzi and the staff is always willing to help with whatever they can. Lyme Stone makes living and coming home a pleasure.
