Amazing and hassle free!
The staff at Avalon Apartments have been amazing! Mine and my husbands situation was somewhat difficult since we were selling our house so our move in date changed a couple of times. The staff were so nice and handled the changes so efficiently. They answered all of my 100 questions and tons of emails. The staff at Avalon really make the place feel like home. the grounds are gorgeous and the pool is pristine, even in the dead of winter. I would highly recommend this location!

Great experience at Avalon from Active Duty Military Member
I lived in Avalon from July 2011 to Feb 2012 and had a great experience. The gym has good cardio and weight machines and the pool is open year round. The staff responds to requests quickly. Also I locked myself out twice accidentally and the responded within 15 min with a maintenance person to unlock it. Also beautiful, well maintained grounds. The office staff were always very helpful and friendly. I also like the location right off of I-10 which makes everything close and accessible unlike a lot of other areas in Pensacola.

Avalon is screwing residents under the guise of contracting utility billing services from NWP. Review your bill and you will see the ridiculous service fees of NWP. See for your self all of the negative reviews posted online about NWS. Open your utility bill and you can see your water bill is higher than with APEX. If you ask Avalon, they will try to tell you this new implementaion is convenient and easy. That is total BS! This new method will cost you more and I can only hope every Avalon resident will inudate them and the brainiacs within the company who brought this on with complaints. You Avalon brainiacs do the right thing and get rid of this now or at least restore our choices. You never sent out a customer survey to see how residents would feel about this change of service. Who are you too say it is more convenient and easy when none of us told you it would be to consolidate if it means to pay more money. We are not stupid. You pad your pockets and take more money out of ours. Residents read the bad NWS reviews and see for yourself. This move is bad news. Bring back indivual billing from APEX.

Good experience.
I moved here a few months ago and so far everything has been nice. Parking isn't the best but the office staff is great! The maintenance guys have been great also when a couple of thing broke in my apartment they were quick to take care of us. :)

Pretty Good. An Active Duty Military Review
I lived at Avalon from June 2011 to October 2011. The drive to NAS Pensacola is 20 mins during the early hours, and 30 mins if you leave around 0730-0800. The staff were pretty helpful and friendly, but I never paid my rent late or anything like that. I didn't have to pay a security deposit. You can use the central laundry, or rent washer/dryer for your apartment. A washer and dryer in your apartment is an extra 50 dollars/month, so if you're here for a year or more it may be worth it to buy your own. The buildings are relatively new, and I had no problems that required maintenance. When I first moved in I noticed some ants on my bedroom carpet, but after I reported this to the office the exterminator came and took care of it within a few days. The exterminator regularly sprays the area, and there weren't any bug problems. The complex is very pet friendly. I lived on the 3rd floor, and while I could hear the barking dogs of my neighbor below during the day, there wasn't a real noise problem. You certainly couldn't hear people walking around or anything like that. I would recommend a third floor apartment to reduce potential noise, and a middle-of-building apartment to lower your cooling costs. I had my AC set to 75, and paid around 70 dollars a month during a very, very hot summer. They let me out of my lease early when I received orders to a new duty station. You have to give them 30-45 days warning to move out like that apparently, but I didn't have a problem with that. Overall, my experience there was pretty good. I paid a little more for this place, but I found it to be worth it.

DO NOT EVER MOVE IN TO THESE APARTMENTS!!!!!!
From day one we were lied to, about EVERYTHING! We were lied to about the hours the club house is open, the amount of rent and security deposit, the lease agreement, early termination policy...I could go on forever. The staff is extremely rude! Don't ever ask a question about your apartment or anything unless you want to be belittled by all the staff, including the maintenance guys. We moved out well over a year ago and are still battling with them over an early termination fee that we were told we didn't have to pay as long as the apartment was rented out by the beginning of the month following the month we moved out. Supposedly it is illegal in florida to charge the fee if the apartment is rented. That's what they told us anyway. Obviously that was a lie or we wouldn't be in this situation now. Point blank, I will do everything in my power to destroy their reputation and make sure no other person has to go through what we did!

Don't believe everything you hear.
We have only been in these apartments for a week and let me tell you that it hasn't been the most pleasant experience so far. We were given the normal tour before singing the lease. When we walked into the 3 bedroom apartment the space was nice and clean but as we got to the master bedroom I noticed that it was warmer that the rest of the rooms. I inquired about the temp difference and the lady said that hers was the same and the had to sleep with the fan on. I also asked about the noise level form our neighboring unit and I was informed that the walls were built to hold out noises because they were newer apartments. On our second day at the apartments the unit next to us was moving things to another unit that they were leasing. The door was open and I couldn't help but see that this unit was a health, fire and all around hazard. I notified the office staff and their response was we really can't to anything. The second evening at our apartment these same neighbors started a yelling match and who could slam the door the loudest around midnight. This happened again on our 5 night. So for noise, don't buy into what they tell you. Heat is an obvious problem if you have a bedroom facing the West side. There is a 3 degree difference form this room to all the others and we even put up blackout curtains. I'm hoping this stay gets better.

5 star price for 2 star living
When you are about to sign that lease to move in, everything is hunky dory and you are promised the moon. Of course, just like some Hollywood marriages, by the 2nd month the honeymoon is over. I figured with the price being higher than majority of Pensacola, that the service at Avalon would be of a better quality standard. I was wrong. Was told while touring the faulty that since the brand new apartments met cat 5 hurricanes standards, that the only way I could hear someone upstairs is if they were jumping up and down, so there should not be an issue. Ha! What a joke! The Clynesdale Horse couple above me both worked the 3rd shift-- so the days that both or one was off from work those were nights from hell. Nothing worse to be startled out of bed at 1am, from their return from grocery shopping and dropping bagged items throughout the apartment. I tried everything on my end before making a complaint. The women in the office, if taking a leadership course, would have failed miserably. Not only did they not want to deal with the issue at hand and but they kept making up new rules as they went. They told me that I wasnt the first one to make a complaint about these noisy neighbors. However, nothing was really ever done to solve this issue, except more promises. Just like the prior complaint on this site in regards to parking issues; parking was ferocious! If you returned to your apartment at 11pm-midnight during the weekend. There was no parking at all. SUV drivers double parking, moving vans and boats taking 4 or 5 spaces, which makes it impossible to find a parking spot. I can go on and on, but bottom line is there s better places for less the money.

scam artists?....maybe.
we were told that we would be required to pay a $200.00 "avalon" fee to even apply for an apartment. then they corrected that statement and said the $200.00 was a security deposit. then we got a call back and they said they were wrong again..and the $200.00 was required for some kind of "avalon fee" whether they gave us the apartment or not....hmmmmm...the whole experience was shady and questionable.

Fabulous!!!
I have lived in apartments in several different cities. I get transferred with my job all the time. I can honestly say that moving into Avalon was the most pleasant experience I have ever had. The office staff are so freindly to everyone. They seem genuinely sincere about helping you. They know everyone by name, dog's name, kid's name..... I had a flat tire one day and one of the girls in the office called me to let me know so that I would not be late for work. Then the maintenance guy came over and asked if he could help me change the tire. I did not have a spare so they offered to give me a ride to work. NOBODY else would have done that. They really care!

watch out for misinformation
We were told upon moving in some things about the Garbage pick up that did not hold true. We were told they would take the garbage from the down stairs area to the dumpsters. After our first week we received notice that they were not a valet service. Also they tried to chargeus a pet deposit when we had no pet. They put in shelves without our request then tried to charge us for them. They also have a 60 day policy to end the lease. Not 30 days. THIS MUST BE IN WRITING. Even if you sign a lease that you are only staying for a certain time and they know that upfront. You according to them must still fill out a form stating you are leaving. We told them the first day of the lease we were only staying through our lease. Be very aware as they are very freindly out of the gate but not very accomaditing as you leave the apartments. Now we have a bad credit report! Thanks for understanding all our

Paying for what??
Tenant pays all their own utilities so basicaly you are just paying for the apartment. There is no reserved paring so sometimes you have to park three buildings away from the one you live in, which is really nice when it is pouring. The office staff seems indifferent to any problems you bring to them. Overpriced for what you get!!

Wonderful!
Very nice and clean apartment complex! The complex is very new so the apartments are very clean. Appliances are great, carpet is so new, the building are kept up, pest control comes once a month. The club house is great for shooting pool and the laundry room was actually nice. One of the only apartment complexes with a gate and the lighting is nice at night. Staff is wonderful! I left messages on the answering machine during the night and my stuff was handled. We're great to us when we got military orders to move.

Nicest and Newest Place to Live
I have lived in Pensacola my entire life... My family is spread out all over Pensacola. I watched Avalon go up from the ground. I was looking for an apartment for my husband and myself as soon as Avalon began leasing. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and they were having a killer special. We moved in immediately and have loved EVERY second of it. The maintenance crew is AMAZING! I have never seen guys go out of their way like they do. The staff is also amazing. They will do any and everything for you. There was even a cute little gift for us when we moved into the apartment. We got a puppy not long after moving in and they were very accomodating with the pet fee also. The ammenities at Avalon far surpass any around. The pool area is amazing and is the best place for family get togethers and just relaxing pool side days! The gym is also so nice. The best part... they have a free tanning bed! You may pay a little more than other places monthly.. but for what you get, it is SOOOO worth it! The apartments have all designer touches and it makes you feel like you are at a beach house all the time. I would tell ANYONE looking for an apartment to look no further!!!!!! Probably one of the best parts of it... is location!!!! We are so close to everything!!!! There's a Publix, Walmart, Lowe's.... and everything else!

wouldnt live anywhere else in pensacola
I moved here from out of town without even looking at the apartments before I moved in. I was very pleased that the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the moving process because I ve never lived in an apartment before. When I walked into the apartment I was pleasantly surprised! Everything looked brand new just like the models. I have lived here now for almost a year and I m about to renew my contract. Parking is fine, neighbors are nice, and I always feel safe. Great service and contemporary apartments!
