Nice area, apartment is clean and well maintained. My first real apartment and it was a pleasant experience. The people in the office are friendly and helpful and the maintenance team is quick and efficient with any issues you might have. Thankfully I haven't had many but they were all sorted out within a few hours.

We moved here a few months ago from out of state. From the very first call, to moving in, to today, the staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly, and courteous. We knew exactly what we were getting and where we would be located. Yes, the apartments are a little older with a little wear to them. However, they are neat, clean, and working. Any issues we've had have been handled in a timely manner when possible. Thankfully any issues have been very minor, due to the upkeep and well maintained units. The location is perfect!

I lived here for exactly one year and promptly moved out. At one point I attempted to speak with -----, the manager, about a notice left on my door that my lanai was a mess. She absolutely refused to talk to me on the phone and I had to "stalk" her at the office to confront her. The only thing on my lanai was a plant and two chairs! She never apologized for how rude she was to me when I attempted to resolve the situation, which I thought was very unprofessional. The buildings are old and if you live on the first floor it sounds like a bowling alley. So many roaches, even though there was pest control and I sprayed. Annoying sugar ants, that migrate from room to room. It was freshly painted with new carpets, but after a year the carpet looked ten years old, even though we always took our shoes off. I did take advantage of the car detailing center one day and was pretty shocked at what looked to be nothing more than a landfill by the dumpster. I had to take my girlfriend by because she didn't believe me. It was there for months. I'll say this, they do address some problems, but it practically has to become your second job to bug them. Anything that may be to big of a task, they will blow you off and say corporate is sending someone out. I'm writing this review because my buddy had seen the recent "rash" of great reviews and knew what a nightmare it was to live here. It is very suspicious that so many people love living here, because I did not meet a single neighbor who would have said they loved it. Sure it's on the cheaper side but you get what you pay for. This is definitely no hidden gem. I suggest checking out Turnberry or Tradition if you like the area. For a little more money you will get a much nicer unit. It will probably be around the same price with utilities.

I lived at Timberlake for almost 4 years and had a great experience. Problems were always attended to in a prompt manner. The staff is friendly and helpful. Apartments are older and have some issues, but it's a beautiful setting. People will always have some problems, that's only natural when a lot of residents live in a confined area, but I found my neighbors to be friendly and quiet. I would recommend Timberlake to anyone looking for a place to live in the area. It's certainly close to lots of shopping, nice restaurants and other amenities.

I've lived here for about a year now and sadly have to move due to being relocated for work. When it was time to hand in my letter saying I was moving out the staff expressed how much they enjoyed me being there and hope that if I ever move back to the area that I come back to them. With the location the rent is very reasonable and yes the buildings are a little older but they are constantly doing renovation and upkeep. People are always going to find something to complain about but when this is a property with one of the highest ratings they must be doing something right.

My kids and I have been here for one year and we just renewed our lease because this is a great place in a great location. The schools are great and we are very close to all of the big box stores. The staff is very helpful and professional.

I have lived here since May 2011 and really have no complaints. The best part about this community is the staff. They are always very friendly. Also, every concern I have brought to their attention has been fixed without question. The rent paid is a great value and the location is great. I will be renewing my lease for another year.

I have only been here for 1 year, and now need to move into a 2 bedroom. I love it so much here, that I am moving into one of theirs!!! I love having a fireplace. I also enjoy the pool with the waterfall, the hot tub, and the deck on the lake. The location is awesome, being close to everything!!! I look forward to another year there in my new 2 bedroom!! :)

I love it here! The staff is friendly and is a key to the community feeling I get here. Maintenance is prompt and efficient. I've never had any issues that were not fixed right away. This Is my first apartment and it really feels like a home.

I have lived in this apartment complex for quite some time now(going on 3 years) and am very happy here and have referred my friends and family member to come check Timberlake Apartments when they are in search of residence. Suzy Jackson has always listened and attended any minor issues(I lost my house key once and locked my keys inside my apartment) which has always been an issue at other apartments I have lived at, no attitude or questioning here(Im so scatter brained sometimes). The landscape is well maintained and I have always felt welcome to talk with staff at Timberlake especially Suzy Jackson she is nice and professional and the neighbors have been quite polite.

I lived at Timberlake for almost 4 years and was always satisfied with almost all aspects of the community. The staff was always friendly, and willing to fix anything that needed repaired. I do think the lighting in some areas is not adequate, as it can be quite dark as you drive in. Also needs better lighting by entrance. The grounds, for the most part, are maintained. I know there have been more flowers, but they are often destroyed by vandals/residents. Apartment living is what you make it. It's not for everyone, and if you choose an apt, there are just some things you have to accept. I was satisfied and would recommend Timberlake.

I am writing this rewiew in response to a review dated 1-26-2013 by anonyous. I have lived in three different units in Timberlake for the last three seasons as I go back north for the summer and rent for short time each year. Every unit that I have had has been gone over by the staff and any repairs needed were done or in some cases a stove was replaced in one unit and another after moving in found that the toliet wasn't working right. The maintance staff was out right away and replaced the toliet. As far as shady people I have not found one, their are a lot of long time residence that live here and if their was a problem they would not be here and even if their was why did anonyous stay for three years? The building's are older but they keep them up. I know for a fact that some of the staff live on the property if it wasn't right, you think they would live here. Their has only been two managers since I started renting here. All the staff is always ready help anyone out. You could not ask for a better staff. Snickers Dad 1209

I m not sure if some of these miserable tenants are used to living in 5-STAR apartment homes, but it s truly not as bad as they are giving off. I've lived here almost 3 years and have no issues that any other place wouldn't have. Yes, there are bugs from time to time. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA. GET USED TO IT. The maintenance is awesome. You call the office and they have Alden to your apartment within the same day. You get what you pay for. If you want shiny new knobs and brand new ovens and dishwashers, then you will probably have better luck living in brand new condos paying over a grand each month. Timberlake has been a great place to live. Shame on you people for being so downright MEAN in your comments about this place. I am 25, single, and live alone and I hardly face any issues whatsoever. If there is, they are happy to take care of it unless of course there is just nothing anybody on staff can do about it right then and there.

I have been at Timberlake Apartments for a year now and have had great service from the staff and management. Any problems I have had with maintenance, has been corrected with in 24 hours. It is the 1st apartment complex I have been at that the staff knows you by name and not by your apartment number. The landscaping is cover with beautiful oak trees which gives nice shade during the summer and cuts down on your power bill. I would recommend it to my family and friends.

I've read some of these revies and there are good and bad points to everything. I knew moving in to a place that has rent lower than any place else in the area and trying to offer the same deals there were going to be some catches. The day I moved in the apartment was still dirty in some places but I went right to the office and within minutes someone was there to take care of all of the issues I had mentioned. I've had a few spiders (we are surrounded by trees) and maybe 2 roaches in the almost year I have lived here but they happen it is a way of life sadly. My biggest issues is the grounds, there is an area in the front apartment complex in the back corner by Turnbury that has a fence next to the dumpster. If you look behind the fence, BAM you will find furniture, desks, boxes, and other such household items that no one wants to pay to get removed. I know another tenent had written to the home office and provided pictures and shortly after corporate was in town and all the furniture was removed. It has sadly made another appearance and we are all aware the staff knows it is there a)they built the fence to block it and b) they are seen throwing things back there. Also, the leaves that are falling are just blown around and then ran over with the lawn mower. It would be great if we could get new bushes, some flowers, and maybe start working the sprinkler system again to get the green a little fuller in some spots. Expect when it rains for parts of the parking lot to flood. I have seen the rat traps around the buildings but so far no droppings and no rat sounds in my apartment. For the price and location I can deal with some of the issues I have experienced but for the most part I plan on staying for at least another year as long as rent doesn't skyrocket for someone who lives on their own. It still shocks me every time I walk into the office they remember my name and what apartment I live in. I don't have any mold as far as I am aware but who knows what is living in my ceiling since I sadly have one of the units that have the A/C leak from time to time by the front entrance. I know the apartment reads this so if we could please just work on the grounds a bit and maybe pull out a rake for the leaves instead of an industrial sized blower that would be amazing!

Living in lack I have lived a Timberlake for about 3 years now, and I love it! I find it kind of insulting that someone who may have had a bad experience here feels the need to insult others who find it rather enjoyable. I do want to admit that the office staff did ask me to post a review, but after reading the posting that they were referring to, I am happy to do it. I have seen the same friendly faces of the Timberlake staff for about 2 years now with the exception of some new but old faces. The transition from Traditions did become nicer when I saw Dean, a very nice gentleman who makes sure all my needs are cared for. All of the maintenance staff here does that job well. I am also very impressed that the office staff, every time I walk through door greets me by name. Timberlake IS a very nice community and I am proud to call it my home. I have lived in other complexes around the area, and the all have had their good and bad points. But the location here is great and the price just can not be beat! The grounds are beautiful, with trees and wildlife galore. I love to watch the otters that sometimes play in the pond behind my apartment. As far as safety, I have never had a issue and I seem to usually get along with my neighbors. I have seen some come and go but for the most part everyone seems to be nice and respectful to the fact that hey this is apartment style living. Parking can get a little tricky by my building, but I think that might be because I live in the part of the apartments that has buildings right across the way. I am very sorry if anyone who has lived or lives here that has a negative opinion, everyone is entitled to one, but DO NOT knock others. I personally do not live in a crap hole! I want people to know that the office is posting most of these reviews and I would not go by all the excellent reviews! I have lived at timberlake for 2 years and I have seen the rats that are the size of cats. I had them in my ceiling office was called several times before anything was done. The person for pest control came set a trap and left it for days the smell was disgusting. I also spent alot of money on putting my own roach traps down. I am a clean person and kept apt very clean and no "DISHES" were left out! The people were nice in other apts except for the drug dealer above me and having all his buyers coming by all times of the night. The wash room area is creppy if your not on a day schedule. It was pitch black they made no effort to put a bulb in for safety. They blow leaves around the grounds are not clean.. Dog crap everywhere! I really think you people who gave these great reviews have lived in lack because you cant tell a great place from a crap hole. I also will add I have astma I had a mold spore count done so for all of you who think you know these apts so well.. know nothing they have a very high mold spore count and I was in the ER every couple of months. I moved out ASAP! I'm from new york city we dont live with roaches and mold. Low rent in a nasty complex does not make it nice because the surrounding area might be great! I have many people who have lived there who will back this up.. They also have new staff every couple years doesnt say much for the great office people. They yes people to death. Thats not being helpful! it doesnt get any better. People thinking about moving in please DONT! save yourself the grief.

I just signed a second lease with only a $10 increase. Me & my digs are VERY VERY happy here. The single only thing this complex is missing is landscaping. However, it is very neat & clean with no litter on the ground. Everything works in my apartment and the grounds are quiet with people who take pride in their community. The office staff know us all by name and I feel like I've made friendships with them. It feels wonderful to live here. It is not luxurious no but I moved here from Turnbury and my apartment is about 250 ft from my outrageously expensive apt in Turnbury for $200 less. I love this upscale area and have no plans to move. If I needed a larger place I would just move into a 2 bedroom here. Come visit our community. I live in phase 2 which I do think is nicer. It's a bit brighter. It's a wonderful cozy place in a beautiful area.

My Fiancee and I moved into this complex around two months ago. While we had a minor bug problem to start, the staff ensured it was taken care of immediately and we have not had one since. There is minimal noise, our neighbors are friendly, and the grounds are well-kept and beautiful. The area is surrounded by nice homes and country clubs, and the complex itself is surrounded by beautiful trees (with a road running along the back, but the noise is not bothersome--I live with my balcony facing the road and have ever been bothered by it). There area lot of stores and restaurants in the area, and the dollar theater is right down the road. The laundry facility is right next to the pool (kind of nice on laundry day), there are hookups in the apartments for your own machines, and the pool is well-maintained and beautiful. I can't speak for the gym because I haven't been there yet (maybe after the holidays, lol). The neighbors are friendly, and the staff is always ready and willing to help with any questions, complaints, or concerns. The maintenance staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that some people don't pick up after their dogs as well as they should. There are doggie doo bags at every dumpster, so the staff is already doing what they can for this one. Outside of that, regular mowing helps to keep this from really becoming an issue. All in all, I would recommend this complex. It is a great place to live!

We have called Timberlake our home for almost 9 years. This community is awesome. The staff always goes above and beyond for anything you need. We have never had any problems here. Neighbors our friendly. The grounds our well kept, pool areas are beautiful and relaxing. The maintenance staff is also the best in town. Aldon and Steve are always here when needed. Suzi and Jamie are the most helpful of all the management staff that we have had. We hit a rough patch last year, those two we're so understandin and caring. We love where we live because this is a quiet and beautiful area. We are close to restaurants, shopping, bus transportation, fitness. If your looking for a great place to live, come live here. You will fall in love with the place.

I moved in a cozy apartment here at lovely timberlake. The location is great to all the shopping, restaurants, beach and night life you need. The area is quiet, good neighbors and a wonderful staff on hand ready and more than willing to take care of anything Ive needed they have definately aceeded my expectations in resident satisfaction. I totally recomend this place if your looking for a nice place here in sarasota to live.

I have just moved into Timberlake last week in a beautiful 2 bedroom. It is very nice and comfortable. I have a five year old son who really enjoys the community. Timberlake is pet and children friendly. All the neighbors I have met thus far have been nothing but welcoming. The staff has been super friendly and efficient. The pool and courtyard make the community that much better, it is absolutely stunning. If you desire the warmth and love of a real community, I would always suggest Timberlake apartments here in sunny Palm Aire!!!!
