My experience at Society Westshore has been terrible. I moved from out of state and picked it solely based on proximity to my office, but I really regret not doing more due diligence. My dishwasher has rust in it, my air conditioning has out for several days, I think there is a mold issue in my building, they never vacuums the hallways, unfortunately I could go on but I think you get the point. I asked to be released from the lease, but even despite all the issues, they said they would not release me and if I wanted to break my lease and move out it would cost me over $3000.

    Good pace to leave, near to the International Plaza and others stores. Good amenities. The maintenances is timely and good. Enjoy the internal activities of the community. Pet friendly and i love it. The security around is good

      Common areas are very well maintained and first rate. The gym equipment is all new as well as the pool chairs and cabanas it's almost like living in a 5 star resort. Parking is also easy and the location is perfect with access to all the major bridges interstate and airport within 5-10 min

        There are a lot of hidden fees required for this property. For example, a $50/month Smart Bundle is charged that is not possible to opt out of. There is also a $5 service fee added to every monthly bill, and you're charged relatively high rates for water and sewer use. To pay your bill online, you also have to pay a convenience fee.

          Well our motorcycle was stolen from the 4th floor parking garage a couple months ago. The parking garage gate hardly ever works. When we reported the incident the office let us know that their cameras don't work. Our air conditioning system has not been functioning properly for about a month now, still waiting for the issue to be resolved. Other than those two complaints, I enjoy the property as it is fairly clean and on a great location.

            I love this community! Amazing facilities, gym, pool, clubhouse. Neighbors are kind and friendly. The location is just perfect, in front of the international mall, airport, good restaurants nearby, 15 min from downtown

              The apartment is beautiful, the staff is nice, and maintenance problems are generally attended to quickly. I have never had any issue here, and would recommend this apartment to anyone interested in moving to the area.

                Move in was very easy and the apartment is very clean and up to date with all the latest appliances. Great community appearance. Maitanence isn't super helpful however and you have to submit multiple work orders for the same problem

                  I have just recently moved in, however, I feel like many of the reviews on here are accurate. The apartment layout is great and they look luxe but I do feel like when you dig deeper it is not that nice. Dogs poop in the hallway constantly. That is obviously a resident issue and not an apartment issue but I haven't seen anything done about it. Literally live on the second floor and people are still too lazy to take their dog outside. The apartment when I moved in was very dirty but they did offer a cleaner to come in. He did not clean it that much better than before and still required me to clean out the sink of hair, vacuum the hair, clean the syrup out of the cabinets etc. it has been pretty quiet which I wasn't expecting. I will say you can hear people walking and moving but I would say that is pretty typical of any apartment where you do not live on the top floor. Parking has been hard to find and the gate is broken which defeats any safety measures so anyone can get in the apartment hallways. Overall, it is about as mediocre as these reviews make it out to be but I do feel like my apartment at least looks nice and has a nice layout, appliances, balcony etc. I am still excited to live here and am curious to see how I feel at the end of my lease if any of these issues will be dealbreakers or not.

                    Great community. Surprisingly quiet and clean for so many young professionals all in one place. Parking garage is definitely for smaller vehicles but apartments and all amenities are top notch. Service is outstanding.

                      Just moved no experience. Residents seem very nice. Love all the pets in the complex. The staff is always helpful and informative. I haven't had the opportunity to really experience but am excited to see how great the community is.

                        Staff is rude and does not care about residents. Hallways are not clean, Outside doors are always unlocked with no security on site. Save yourself a headache, do not live here you will be disappointed.

                          First time living in an apartment in 20 plus years - I was a home owner. Cleanliness is not as I expect. Video cameras in the entrances make sense. the doors and and garage entrance to 2nd floor are frequently not working properly.

I am a student who was looking for a one-bedroom option that was as affordable as possible, without sacrificing design, safety, proximity and space. Society Westshore seems to fit all of my criteria so far!

                              Nice building with nice amenities. They need to clean the carpets in the hallways more often. Office needs more staff, not available to answer phones regularly and is closed on Sundays which is very inconvenient. Maintenance staff is great.

                                  The word "luxury" should be taken very loosely. This place is disgusting. Besides the terrible management and rude office staff, the apartment is made to look expensive but really the only thing expensive about it is the price. My roommate and I were constantly getting sick, we came to realize that this was due to the BLACK MOLD growing from our vents and how much dust was constantly spewing out of the vents (photos attached). We cleaned our apartment very well and often. However maybe an hour after cleaning there would be a new later of dust covering everything again. Since we were on the first floor we had to call maintenance to come clean the vents. They changed 3/6 vents in the apartment which did not fix the problem. Thankfully, we moved out over a week ago now. We still have yet to hear anything about getting our security deposit back or the move out inspection. We had 4 people in there deep cleaning everything the day we moved out. I am convinced the staff does not do the move out inspection until at least a week after so dust has time to collect and we get charged for it. Other than the horrible living conditions, the walls are paper thin and you hear everything. The elevators never work. The key fab system has been broken for over a month now..super safe. The office rarely answers the phone and when they do they're rude and unhelpful. The valet trash is never collected on time then they try to charge you for having your trash out during the day when it was never even taken from the night before. Overall terrible place to live. Do NOT recommend.

                                  The side door on the first floor is broken and has been for 4 days. This should be remedied so that anyone coming from the parking garage can get in at the first floor. Someone from the sales office took my information 72 hours ago and said they would call me about this but never did.

                                    Apartments units are nice; however, management practices are terrible. Current management company has an F on Better Business Bureau!!! They have a no smoking policy for the entire complex however is it never enforced (includes people regularly smoking weed around kids). Not sure why a place would charge you $2200 a month for over a year, then charge you when you move out for minimal cleaning that will be done anyway for new tenants (attached photos came directly from management team to show why I was assessed cleaning fees). I was charged by this place for dust left in sink and on baseboards after I moved out 4 weeks before I turned in my keys (you are also apparently expected to thoroughly clean all the hard water stains left from using the building's water). No one lived in my apartment for the last 4 weeks on the lease but my water consumption bill was somehow half the normal amount when no water was used in the unit (not sure how that works). Elevators and garage gates are always breaking or out of service. I have moved across the country with my job living in premium apartments for the last 12 years and this is by far the most ridiculous property management. Though if you do decide to live here don't worry about the office staff being concerned about your concerns, they seem to be replaced/turnover every 3-4 months. Overall this is a great place to waste money with extra fees that you don't expect. After living here 14 months I am extremely happy to be out of my lease. I strongly suggest exploring other premium apartments that are close by before choosing this place.

                                    havent started living there yet! so far the community is nice. Some dog owners dont seem to clean up after their dogs which will make other dogs think its ok for them to use the inside as a bathroom as well. But i dont really mind because I have animals at my parents house as well. the facilities are great and so is the location!

                                        The building is nice on the inside and the outside. The staff is nice and friendly. The location is optimal. However, there is a lot of dog waste that people do not pick up. Sometimes valet trash does not come by to pick up on days when they are scheduled to. And maintenance takes FOREVER (11-14 days) even when it's an urgent maintenance request. You also cannot rely on them to get it done correctly the first time.

                                          Like any living experience, Society Westshore has it's pros and cons. I lived here for over 2 years and have seen many changes during that time but these comments are based on the most recent management company that has taken over (Matrix Residential). Pros: Office staff is very friendly and helpful. Recently they helped me figure out my living situation when things in my life changed and I was very appreciative of that. Amenities are well kept and clean with the exception of the gym. I do believe they just recently started having the gym cleaned more regularly though. The landscaping has been improved recently which looks great. Depending on where you live in the building you may hardly ever hear your neighbors. Neighbors are polite and friendly. Lots of cute dogs around all the time. The units themselves are beautiful and when I transferred to my new unit, it looked like no one had ever lived there. I was impressed! The events they put together a fun and usually involved food and booze - Always a plus! Cons: The pet waste bins are continuously overflowing. Over the last few months I noticed this happening every single week. Valet trash service has become unreliable. The office let me know they've talked to the valet trash company about this issue but why even force residents to use this service in the first place? I'd much rather not pay the $30/month and take my trash out myself. The online system where you can view your bills is somewhat confusing. When I was going through the process of transferring apartments, my amount due was constantly changing and I had no idea what I owed. The office staff cleared it up for me, I gave them a check, and the next day I had another amount due. I've heard billing issues from other residents as well where their amount due was much higher than what they were quoted. I'm sure all the other similar complexes in the area have their ups and downs so overall Society Westshore is a good choice.

                                            I have lived her for a year and I love it. Everyone is very nice. The maintenance requests are taken care Of very quickly. Great place to live and very dog friendly. The noise level from the garage can be a bit loud from time to time but other than that It's pretty quiet most of the time.

                                              I like it here! I have lived here for over year and so far it's been great. I love Tampa and this complex is in one of the best location wise. Super close to downtown, the mall and basically everything without having to be stuck in traffic
