It was the most amazing place to live until we got bought out by JVM and everything went down hill. The other Lincoln company was on top of everything! Everybody went above and beyond and I felt the money I was paying for rent was well worth it. Now, I'm eager to get out.

    When we moved in and Amli Rentals had the property is was a nice place to live No Problems, Aventine of Oakhurst bought had some getting use to (different ways) Then JVM took over and it all went down hill, (very bad first impression) Made big promises and all we saw was higher rent, seems like that's all they care about $$$ Since I had that bad first impression,, and at times seems like you get labeled as a trouble maker if you complain too much

      Everything is ok except the multiple issues with the new companies maintenance staff. They take too long to complete a request, never fixes the issue on the first attempt, have to submit several request. Should hire a more experienced staff.

        Decent community. The updates are nice and the maintenance is helpful. It is a bit expensive for the size but the location makes it worth it overall. The updated apartments look great. I don't have one but I wish I did!!

                    I have lived in these apartments for over 13 years since they were AMLI apartments. They have been sold twice in the past 3-4 years. This new company seems to want to make improvements, but the sales have been a pain. This last time I was told the lease contract was going to be the same as I signed it with the previous company, however, the building I live in was a no pet building when I signed the contract. The neighbors in the apartment next to mine have a dog, and when I called to ask about the no pet policy they said everyone likes dogs so now all buildings are pet friendly. I'm fine with people having dogs, but I prefer no dogs in my building. What I'm not fine with, is that they say one thing and do another. Also, the first service request I placed with this new company over the phone took almost a week to get done. When I went to ask about it, they said the request had never been placed. Another thing that changed right before the current owner bought the apartments was the water bill. There are 16 apartments in eachā€¦Ā See More>

The multi-family industry is trending this was for most communities. The water/sewer bill received each month is actually a flat rate system (fixed) based off average consumption per household. There are alternate billing systems that use the method you mention and the rate fluctuates each month. We value your feedback and appreciate your residency.                         value only if you wish to pay for it. rentals are getting too high for older adults and people on limited income. but that's all you can find. apartment to owners are just apartments same price no matter the area, the inconvience, noise, condition. some really rude people, some nice. not a community.

                            Overall the Aventine has been a nice place for me and my family to stay. However, I just truly wish that the office staff was more friendlier and accomodating to the residents needs. There are no events that the office staff schedule so the residents can meet other residents. If the water goes out at the complex, there are no emails that are sent out so residents are aware.

                              Do not move into the Aventine. Management is horrible. Always something wrong & they send you emails that the work is completed but when you get home it is not. I will be moving out when my lease is up in September. I've had a bucket in my bedroom for about 2 weeks now due to a leaking ceiling. I informed them back in March about the peeling paint. This is now May. Maintenance came over with a bucket. I was told the problem was fixed back in march but never was & still isn't.

                                    The apartment community is open, spacious, and looks nice. Outside, there is easy access to your mailbox, a central garbage and recycling location, pool, playground, dog park, etc. The interiors of the apartments are well-kept. When I moved in July 2016, there was brand new paint and carpeting. My dishwasher was rusted, so they gave us a brand new one almost immediately. I really like my open floorplan - there is a big "window" opening between the kitchen and living area which makes it feel more homey. The kitchen counters and backsplash are really nice. The kitchen is green, so the whole apartment isn't beige. We also have a washer and dryer in unit. Now that JVM owns the apartment community, they are renovating the clubhouse and fitness center and fixing many other things. Right now they are about to inspect all the roofing. I'm not sure if this will make the rent go up in the near future, so I'm not sure if I will be able to renew my lease for next year. It is a very nice community, and I hope you will consider living here!

                                          The Aventine has gone through a lot of changes. Some good some bad. While the new office staff are good I think the priorities of the complex are wrong. They are spending all this money on a new clubhouse when the buildings are falling apart. We can't wash our comforters because our washer is too small (1996) and we supposedly have an upgraded unit. All appliances are older and not efficient. They seem more concerned with having a more upscale clubhouse than taking care of residents that have been here for a while. Had to get the city of aurora involved at one point the get them to even listen to me and the violations they were doing nothing about. (Overcrowding is common). The people are 50/50. You have the nice ones who are respectful and the not so respectful. Major issues with parents controlling their children.

                                              Overall have enjoyed living here for 10 years. Good amenities. Parking usually ample, with decent lighting. Living space has great layout & suits our lifestyle but quite small, living room cramped for gatherings of 6-8 max. Bedrooms are good size, with walk-in closets. Architecturally interesting design, including loft with built-in desk & cabinets (unique to unit to my knowledge). Dining area is part of the living room in this unit, with no defined space but adjoins convenient kitchen pass-through. Appliances are older, need occasional maintenance. Countertops are smooth white plastic that stains easily - hard to keep clean. Really appreciate laundry room with door off kitchen, containing supplied washer & dryer, good for additional storage & pet area. Bathrooms are ample, with large spa tubs with showers. Water pressure isn't the best but usually gets the job done. We live in the back center of property, which overlooks a large field & small wetlands lake. It was once wooded between field & property, but management recently removed a number of trees, which landscapers butchered & left a lot of debris. It's usually quiet back here exceptā€¦Ā See More>

                                                It has been very positive other than the cost of living there. When we first moved in, it was reasonable. Service requests were always responded to within 24 hours and the staff is always super friendly. But the high and unpredictable rent is a deal breaker.
