Over priced for the poor service you receive. The apt is nice and the grounds are nice. Thay allow dogs and have a nice dog park. The lighting at night by our building is pitch black in part and I have asked for this to be fixed and it has never been corrected.

Somewhat Overpriced for what you get. It is a nice community but getting responses in a timely manner from the office is difficult. Somewhat outdated interior. Parking is limited and only have one dumpster for the entire community.

The new staff from JVM was a huge help in taking care of us when we were displaced by a fire at a neighboring complex. We received a great value for one of the units, and combining that with their value on customer service throughout the process, I was convinced this was the right place for me.

Love the amenities and clubhouse activities. I like the Luxor mail service room for tents, we don't have to worry about stolen mail anymore. I enjoy the pool in the summer, people gather and have fun, very friendly community.

Management has changed many times! That's not a good sign! Also those long time residents are leaving due to many problems and complaints that are not being taken care of. Very frustrating!! Calls are not being returned.

New owners since November of 2016. Not impressed with them. Snow removal has been terrible now and to long for maintenance request to be done. They don't shovel the snow leading into your apartment and slow at getting the roads cleaned also

I didn't want to give this property only 1 star, because aesthetically it was very appealing. I have also never lived here, so I understand that might decrease my credibility on this review. In August 2014 my boyfriend and and I were apartment searching and the experience we had with the leasing consultant was awful. We are both in our younger twenties, and I felt like the guy who was showing us around did not take us seriously at all. Even in the office we were both very polite and professional, and the man was on his cell phone almost the entire time. At one point even we had to sit there in silence and wait while he finished his text. Needless to say, even though we like the look of the apartments, we did not choose to go with this property. We instead moved to Farmington Lakes in Oswego, and we love it there! We have been there since October, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Their loss I guess.

I've lived here for a year now and the property has gone downhill. Kids play in the streets constantly and throw things at cars as they drive by or use their bats on cars. Residents walk their dogs and don't clean up after them even though there are lots of doggie bags and trash cans nearby. The maintenance guys locked my dogs in my room while I was at work and then I guess forgot they did and they were there until I got home from work late that evening with no water. My toilet has broken 8 times in the year I've lived here and each call they come by and just rig a chain up that shouldn't even be in the toilet. The office staff are non responsive. There is trash littering the grounds and the group they use for grounds maintenance are terrible. My neighbors had to mulch their own bushes. Most plants have died and are left sitting there. Grass is not cut or maintained. The list goes on. Do not move here unless you enjoy a 3rd rate property.

This place is a gable. Pros The layout is nice. There is no fee for pets Cons The management is horrible. They are very short with you and I had to report the manager Erin three times. I consistently have to report something to maintenance. ie.. my outlets when went out, i had no telephone line, my air-conditioning went out three times in one summer, the water pressure and temperature is horrible and the list goes on. We were told six dates they would add new mulch but we never received any. You cant get U-verse They send very rude emails telling everyone what others are doing wrong on a consistent basis The kids in the area have no where to play so they play in parking lot have have damaged cars with their footballs and baseballs And again the staff is rude and not approachable. They seem to not like their jobs Its not worth staying here. they were owned by AMLI and it was allot better. But I am moving as soon as my lease is up. Im even contemplating paying the 1200 to break my lease early

I visited this place as a prospective tenant today to look at two 2 bedroom units. Be prepared- The actual units are much smaller than they appear on paper and on various websites. The 2 bedroom with one level is extremely small with a shoe box sized living room. The 2 bedroom with the master upstairs is a portrait of wasted space with no defined dining area. The only positive I could see is that the bathtubs are larger than normal and that you get a full size washer and dryer in the apartment. I was expecting great things from this place but was majorly disappointed. Be prepared to give up half of your furniture if you choose to move here.

I was skeptical moving into an apartment complex, but after 9 months no complaints. Staff has been way better than I expected, friendly and responsive. Beth is usually the person I see there and she had been great to deal with. I never hear the neighbors unless we have the windows open and the tv off during the day (2nd floor unit). Landscaping and grounds are always well kept. Only negative is no microwave in unit? The most impressive part has been their notices - letters on door for important items plus updates via email.

LOVE THIS PROPERTY!
We recently moved here from a neighboring community...I cannot believe how wonderfully maintained everything is here! The staff knows all the tenants, doesn't put up with any b.s. (many other reviews I've read of this property seem to be of people complaining that they are being held to the terms and conditions of the lease they signed...as it should be!) and does a great job at keeping this a safe and friendly community for everyone. I've looked all over at neighboring communities and this one is hands down the best choice. We are so pleased that we moved here and look forward to many years in our new apartment home.

Incompetent Staff
I lived at 2 AMLI locations over the course of a few years, and the intelligence of the staff at Oakhurst North, and even more so their community manager, will keep me from ever recommending them or living there again in the future. If you even think about trying to break your lease early, be prepared for them to screw you out of money that they say you don t owe, but then decide you do right when you move out. They also won t tell you when the next tenant will be moving in, thus relieving you of your monetary obligations you have to call and ask them. Also, if your toilet stops working, they will fix it right away if it s your only one, but if you have a second bathroom, they will wait OVER A WEEK to fix it. If you don t like dealing with incompetent management, I suggest you take your rent money elsewhere.

don't waste your time
nice apartment but save your money because looks can be deceiving. The office staff changes every month, and they do not handle your service request in a timely manner. It took them three months to repair my smoke detector and that is after I threaten to contact the city of Naperville and fire department. there has been a lot of break in's.. Last year there was a man stalking single women and breaking into their homes while they were sleeping I was afraid for my life, so I moved once my lease was up and they company robbed me of my deposit... Stay AWAY TRUST ME..

I would rather leave in a box.
First, there are so many things; I don't know where to start. The kitchen--- really?? Painted counter tops, a disgusting stove and fridge that you feel disgusted having your food be around. The dishwasher that can't clean a glass even if you just drank water out of it. So many layers of cheap linoleum it's like walking on a spring board. The connected laundry area that spits lint and dust into the kitchen The washer and dryer that don t clean your cloths; just damages them. The leaking water heater that is fine , even though mold is growing around it. The water-based heating system that doesn't work, so you have to use the wall installed electric heater by the door; that way your gas and electric bills are high. There is wind chill factor in the unit; drafts everywhere. The swamp in the back of the complex they do nothing about, so it smells like death and the bugs are the size of birds---you better be in before night fall, in the summer. One garbage area for the entire place! Don't even think of dumping your garbage on the weekend! You will need a shoe-horn and gas mask to get inā¦Ā See More>Izabella81

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!
We have lived here for almost 2 years and are literally counting down the days til our lease is up! If we could we would break it and move somewhere else but knowing this place they would probably charge us 20 grand extra. This place is nothing but appearances, it's a facade. Everything may look nice, but once you see what's really going on, everything is cheap crap that breaks every other day, and of course no one is available for days or hours to fix it! The managers are blatantly rude and will belittle you if you try to tell them what's wrong with your own place or their policies. Seriously the only nice thing about this place is the location, but to be honest if the rent here was a dollar it would still not be worth the B.S. we've had to put up with! Once again I stress, DO NOT live here!

Extreme Disappointment - Miserable Tenant
I moved in to Amli at Oakhurst North in October 2010 and have had a miserable 7 months of living here. I made 3 visits to the community and 2 of those were spent viewing the model unit, so I tried to complete due process before deciding to move here. Everything seemed great at the beginning, but it was all a show. First, I take major issue with the concept of signing a lease before viewing the actual unit that you will be moving into. I was not happy about this and tried to work around it, but they would not allow that. So, as a heads up, you are required to sign the lease, generally while the unit is occupied by a current tenant, before you ever see the unit you are renting. On moving day, I was given 2 apartment keys, one of which did not work. Two mailbox keys, both of which did not work. A garage door opener and a keypad code, which did not work. It took 3 maintenance tickets just to get all of my keys and codes working correctly (2 attempts for the mailbox). Soon, I noticed that the hot water takes at least 3-4ā¦Ā See More>anonymous

No emotions, Only Facts
I live here almost 4 month and would like to provide review with facts only and leaving decision making for you, reader. please find video and photo report: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeRVpt5Hwvo https://picasaweb.google.com/toporovd/HiddenSideOfAMLIAtOakhurstNorthLuxuryApartments?feat=directlink Low quality materials used: windows are very old, with permanent drafts during winter (you will have to insulate this by yourself, since AMLI personnel state this is OK) en=trance and balcony doors, even insulated with new weatherstrips has big holes for cold drafts (the same story like with windows) Since moved I insisted on exchange of the Range (one of the burners was broken, but Amli was saying - its OK, so it took around 1 month to exchange it) Since moved I insisted on exchange of the Washing machine, old one was ripping the clothes (this exchange was done only after report to main amli management) Air heater is hot water based thus depends on hot water. Thermostat is placed on heater wall and measure temperature of warm wall instead of environment air. All issues was reported to amli several times, and most of them still left unresolved. I changed strategy to request service via email to track whatr was reported and then. Now amli stop responding to my emails, next step I will send certified mail toā¦Ā See More>anonymous

High prices, Rats and service is not that great
I've lived here for almost 2 years and will be moving after this lease is up. I have enjoyed my apartment for what it is worth, however I've lived in many places - but this is the first time that I've had rats in my kitchen (rats as in plural and more than one time). I've asked them to take care of this and they have told me that they cannot catch them - but would call an exterminator a few days later. I never saw this exterminator and only handed a few glue traps to "take care of my problem." I was also told when my rent shot up $60 a month that it's "a good thing" because the market is coming back. Yeah, good for them. Seriously, the woman fed me this line of crap. Overall, it is a nice place - but expensive! 1 bedroom apartment is around $869 and you pay everything (plus the service fees/water/sewage that they don't tell you about) so add another $20 per month! However, I don't want to make it sound like his place is horrible, it's not. I've lived her forā¦Ā See More>chufferd

Nice, but plan ahead
I moved in last year with a "standard rate" - this year I was faced with a shocking 10% increase in rent for renewal, another "standard rate" - or move out. With all the economic factors considered - all surveys showing Chicago-land rent is anywhere from stable to down 3% - it was extortion. I was not a new tenant just moving in. Pay us, or pay movers, and the all the hassle of moving again. It should be illegal for companies to to this. Why is it that the 100ft within the entrance way has a sprinkler system? And the rest of the property doesn't? Just for appearances for passers-by? I give maintenance a 50/50 chance of fixing things. Fix it, or not, I always get an email that my maintenance request has been "completed"
