I live in the Avana Abington complex with my husband our son and our cat. I find the apt to be perfect size living space wise, however if storage was an option that would make it perfect all around. We have had some wear and tear concerns that we have had maintenance help out. They were prompt and took care of everything to our expectations. Side walls are nicely insulated - however you can hear noise from above. We love being able to have a grill on our patio and plenty of grass for our son to play. The folks in the management office are extremely accommodating and willing to work with residents to help keep everyone happy. Overall, we love it here, however if we do decide to move on, it will be for extra space such as 3rd bedroom/shed/garage option for storage. The only negative to the complex is the lack of visitor parking. Certainly not a deal breaker though as everything else is going great.

I absolutely loved my apartment there. It was beautiful modern and quiet. The grounds were always kept nice. A perfect place to walk my dogs. The maintenance staff were always friendly and professional and repaired as quickly as possible. The office staff are exceptional. They were always kind and understanding of my needs. Avava is truly a great place to live and was more than just an apartment. It was home.

I wouldn't even want my worse enemy to live here! I wouldn't even give them 1 star! All they care about is their money! They do not care about their tenants or their families. The walls are paper thin, you are told you can paint as long as you put one coat of primer on before you leave and even if you put the primer on they still try to charge you (they even enter your apartment before you move out to take pictures so it looks like you never put the primer on). They charge some people for parking and some people they don't. They continue to up their prices for people that have lived there for more than 3 years. And when you ask what other people pay they tell you they pay the same as you and you say your friend told you they are paying less and the property manager says they are lying to you! Everyone has dogs that poops anywhere and no cleans it up (so you and if you have kids constantly step in it). No one has a nice dog, my father was attacked and bitten by 2 nasty hounds the day we moved in (obviously Avana's property manager did nothing about it) It takes months for the 2 maintenance men to come and fix things and they jimmy rig everything. They don't care how many people live in their 2 bedroom apartments (some 2 bedroom apartments have 6 people living in them). People constantly complain about each other and depending on who they like more they tend to that person. The officer manager is horrible and she does nothing by the books and once she makes a legal mistake she tries to go back and fix it by bribing you. They immediately turn their apartments over within the same month you move out (so you know nothing gets cleaned or repaired very well) this gives them double the rent in one month. They charge everyone the same amount for their water and sewer bill. And to top it off they charge you for the landscaping that happens once a week (but there's still dog poop left everywhere) and they charge you for the sprinkler system that literally runs 5 plus times a day (even at 2am the sprinklers turn on ). I could keep going....I mean if you want to be miserable day in and day out Avana is for sure the place of you but if you want to live in a place that is clean and well maintained don't even look at Avana! It is a waste of your time, money, and sanity. They are mean, money hungry people. They do not care about anything or anyone all they want is their money! The property manager is horrible and the worst of them all.

My house got hit by lightning and I needed a temporary place to stay. Avana Woods is very nice. Apartments are beautiful and modern. The biggest surprise to me was how quiet my apartment is. They built these buildings with sound proof walls and ceilings. Also the pool is awesome! You will definitely enjoy living here!

Noise through the floors is a definite problem, there aren't nearly enough trash, animal or smoking controls and it's much to expensive for value received. Staff is good and professional and strive to do the best they can with what they have to work with, but there's no way fr them to deal with the constant noise from overhead for anyone not on the top floor.

The apartment itself has an attractive layout. There is adequate closet space. The hallways are well lit. The grounds are well maintained. Snow removal has improved. Many upgrades have been made to the clubhouse and rental office area, while building facades have not. Since it is a pet friendly complex, if you are not a dog lover, you may want to look elsewhere. There is no guest parking readily available.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! The facilities and amenities are nice, don't get me wrong, its everything else that involves the quality of living that makes this place inhabitable for a family with young children. From the rudeness and disrespect from the management team to the paper thin walls and ceilings, you can hear everything.to the drug busts and other "riff-raff that goes on in the evening hours here at AVANA.

I have been here for about 2 years now and it was originally owned by another company which i would say defiantly slacked a little bit but since switching office staff and owners the complex has definitely improved. Snow removal has improved as well as grounds keeping. Office staff are helpful and pleasant to speak to where as the old staff you rarely wanted to deal with and i felt something was always wrong and the needed to come into the home often. They handle things to the best of the ability. There are many store for household needs very close. The only thing is there is no public transportation near to this and since moving in rent has increased and we now pay water and sewage which we did not previously pay. For the most part this place is great. It is peaceful and no one bothers or is to loud .

So far I have had a negative experience. Other properties promptly work to correct all "damaged" items immediately upon move in so that no one can indicate it wasn't made after move in. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've been very happy here so far. Moved here December 2012 and just renewed our lease. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and the grounds are kept very nicely. The only complaint is about the snow removal last year but they management has hired a new company for this year, so we'll see. The complex managers try to spread a sense of community and make it a friendly place to live. Not to mention that its 4 minutes from Walmart, Target, Stop & Shop and Trucci's. Close to everything!

The move in process was quick and painless. the staff was helpful and assisted us in anything we needed. Our neighbors were friendly as well and we felt right at home. Besides the odor in the hallway and keys not working too well but figured out it just needs a little jiggle we were 100% ok with the complex

Overall this complex is a nice community. They have added more visitor parking spaces. They have added even more amenities such as a fire pit and furniture so people can enjoy either cooking or just sitting by the fire. I guess it is worth the money... In my opinion having lived in Tennessee and Nevada; Massachusetts is very expensive no matter where you go. If you are going to pay over $1700.00 a month rent then you should have the amenities that we have.
