I really love the dog park, pool, gym and the cleanliness of the community. We are only here temporarily but if I was here long term I would worry about the thin walls and sound you can hear from neighbors ( who are not being too noisy) intentionally.

I moved from a house to this community. I love the apartment and the amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the common hallways are in need of painting and the rugs are stained. My floors in the apartment are also discolored and the walls in some areas have writing that is bleeding through the wall. There seems to be a lot of low income families here which I didn't expect. I thought this was more of a young to middle aged professional community. People can be loud and dogs barking all hours of the night. There are lots of unattended young children outside in the court yard and common areas. Not quite what I expected community wise.

Management super nice, helpful. They listen to every concern and and try to solve it in a swift manner. Clear, easy communication. Speedy in any of their dealings. Place is quiet, clean, peaceful. Although it is pet friendly, still so clean and residents are friendly and respectful. S far loving my new home.

i can't complaint!!!!!
I have been living at Abington Woods for 6 months and I absolutely love it. When I came to take a look at the place, Allison, showed me around. She was very professional, pleasant and had a lot of knowledge of the area. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I went back home and couldn't wait to move in. I faxed my application right away before my lovely 3rd floor was taken. The apartment was delivered to me in a great condition. I have to say that I used to live in Braintree and the community I lived on was just terrible *(The worse kind). I stayed there for 6 years because of no specific reason other than being to busy to look around and the laziness of packing and moving. during all that tine I called the office and the police many times. Now I feel great knowing that I am coming HOME! I love my apartment. I love the way it's set up, I love the big windows and light that comes in, the 2 bed, 2 baths, the fire place, the tall ceiling, the island, the marble tops. ... The Maintenance staff is great. any time there's a problem I call, Luis, and he comes in, fixes the problem right there and it is done. I also trust them inside my apt even if I'm not there. The shared areas are kept clean and every neighbor does well in picking up after there pets. The gym is nice ( not that big but it's not like I have been there to exercise anyways) pool is great... I loved it the 2 times I jumped in the water. I haven't had any complaints and it doesn't seem like I will have any. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to move in into a quiet, clean and safe community. The apartments do look luxury and have been well kept by the previous residents and the maintenance staff do well fixing them to deliver to the coming ones. Hats of to the management for the great service. I am usually someone very hard to please and I always look for something to complaint and I haven't had any. GREAT JOB TO THE STAFF OF ABINGTON WOODS, MA.

Generally good, with some minor annoyances.
I live on the 3rd floor of one of the buildings at Abington Woods. I agree with some of the other comments that have been made regarding the construction of the units. While they are outwardly very attractive, they don't hold up well to scrutiny. Small things like wires being fed through cabinets, flooring ending in weird locations, and giant panel boxes on bedroom and hallway walls that really should have been inside closets are just a few of the things that keep the units from being the "luxury apartments" that the company claims they are. Also, while I never hear my neighbors through the walls, I can hear word for word conversations of people in the hallway while inside my apartment. Generally, we are happy living here. We have had no major problems. Minor problems have included a neighbor who parked in our spot repeatedly after being asked not to, and waiting over a week for a maintenance request to get filled. My only real complaint is that I think the community managers should set (and stick to!) some guidelines regarding what people can put on their balconies and patios. There are a few that are just covered in toys and bikes and car tires and all sorts of other junk. It looks awful. There is one first floor resident who has set up a dog pen on their patio and leaves two dogs out there much of the day. Aside from looking completely tacky, the unit is right near the community mail box and the dogs bark endlessly at anyone who walks to the mailbox with their own dog. Additionally, the rule about not parking against the curbs should be enforced. In the evening you have to slalom around all of the cars parked at the curbs to get to your own spot. Even the maintenance man parks his truck on the curb at night, so that doesn't set a very good example for others not to do the same.

Great Apartment Complex
Im not really sure what the other people are talking about in their reviews. My husband, daughter and I have been living here for about a month now, and we havent had any problems with this apartment complex. We have had 1-2 occurances with someone parking in our spot when we first moved in, but nothing since then. We have not had any problems with the office staff, but we also have not had to talk to them about much since we moved in. The maintenance people are always friendly and always knock on our door (they never just walk in), and they always get things fixed the day of, or the day after we put in a maintenance request. The grounds are always clean and the residents here are pretty good about cleaning up after their pets. We live in a top floor apartment so we dont hear anything from above us, but we also never hear a peep from anyone next to or across the hall from us.

Don't Live Here!!!
My wife and I have been living here for 2 1/2 years. Like others have said when you see the place and move in, you think its the best apartment around. But then you pay over $1600 a month to live here and you wonder where all the money goes because the property is not well kept. Bushes are not replaced after they are dead or ripped up from their own snow plows. The snow removal was ridiculous. You expect the snow to be plowed when you get home from work, but of course it wasn't done. Being in the Heating and Air Conditioning Field, they DO NOT keep up their maintenance. The air filters are NEVER changed. Don't even get me started with management, because honestly the girl who works here and supposedly runs the place has NO CLUE what she is doing. We have received many letters from the office that does NOT match the paper work or anything that is written in our contract. For all this time we have been here we have ONE week to go (THANK GOD) and they try slapping us with a pet fee bill for this ridiculous amount of money.... they back charged 2 1/2 years when they knew we have had a dog and have been paying the pet fees. Since we have moved in this place has been getting worse and worse. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. They will lie to you to get in you here, and they lie about everything. They will lie to you to get you in the door and sign the contract. They NEED new management BAD!!! This place is falling through. This place is only 5 years old and it is going to get worse and worse. You should keep looking for a place... I wouldn't have moved in here if I knew how bad it was going to be.

i have to laugh when i read these reviews as they are so true....the bad ones that is...i lived there in 2007 and at first i was in love with the place...thought it was so beautiful...NOT>>>>the construction there is a nightmare everything falling apart..management is god awful...correct on saying keith doesnt care....he doesnt for real...i never had a parking spot...it was awful..i had one by the light post that attracted everyone to it...i never had a spot...i had people towed a few times....i never had anything plowed out..the side walks were a mess..and while i never personally had anyone walk in on me ie.maintenance..i heard my share of stories regarding that...it was all a big lie and yes...how do two bedrooms suffice 3-4 children..ill never understand that either...sometimes i get tempted to move back in but then i say"stop and think about it""...no way....and what a big joke that you have to make 50 grand year to move in..i know for a fact thats not true.....people...be safe and dont move in there....do yourself a big favor!!!! p.s.they say there are pet restrictions but trust me there arent...pit bulls...you name it is in there

Do You Get What You Pay For?
Regardless of who they are renting from, many renters ask themselves if the new apartment is really as good as it appears on the surface. My wife and I moved into an apartment at Abington Woods before they even finished construction on a couple of buildings. We were the first people to rent this particular apartment and we, like others, immediately noticed a lack of quality construction. The floor doesn't go all the way to the wall in closets, there's a hole about the size of a softball under the carpeting in one of the bedrooms, etc... However, none of this warranted an "oh my god, we can't live here" reaction, so we have made this our long-term temporary home. Why Abington Woods? Well, they accept pets and we have pets; the end. Our first winter here we had problems with maintenance clearing our assigned parking spots and sidewalk in a timely manner, so we bought a shovel and I was out there every storm shoveling. Our second winter here was a little better, I think, but I still spent a pretty good amount of time shoveling the sidewalk and parking spots. This is our third winter here... not good so far. Like the other two years, management sent out a letter before the first snow storm stating to please move vehicles within four hours of the end of any snow storm, so parking spots can be plowed. We only have one car and have two assigned spaces, so we park in one space leaving the other free for plowing. During the first snow storm for this winter, my wife and I went to my mom's house for about 4 hours to help her clear the foot of her driveway. After the snow storm my wife and I went to my mom's for about 6 hours so I could fix the snow blower. And again, the second day after the snow storm, my wife and I went to my mom's house to finish clearing her driveway. I have refrained from shoveling here more than what's absolutely necessary to get in and out of our parking spots. Maintenance has now plowed almost every parking spot but our two, including the spots directly beside ours. I won't even touch the sidewalks because clearly, they haven't. I'm not saying that they are being vengeful toward us or that we are isolated in this situation, but it would be nice if they would do their job well. We do pay quite a bit of money each month to live here and maintenance (including plowing) is supposed to be included in that rental fee. Earlier this year our two-year lease expired, so we renewed because we didn't have a better option for renting available to us. While renewing we were told that because we renewed we would receive a discounted price for the first month of the new lease. Yep, never happened. We've successfully contacted management by phone and email about it without any acknowledgment. Parking spaces have been mentioned several times by other residents in these reviews, so I should also address an opinion about them. Remember that first winter I told you about, well that same year our car was broken into. The passenger side window was smashed, so my mom loaned us her car while we waited for the repair guy to fix ours. She parked in a space that wasn't assigned to us and a couple of hours later, her car was towed by order of management. That was $250 to get back and her car was damaged in the process of getting towed, which my mom had to pay for. Why did she park in a space that wasn't assigned to us? Believe it or not, someone else was parked in our second assigned space. I could go on and on, but really what's the point? The fact is, I wouldn't recommend living here because in my opinion, management doesn't seem to take responsibility and maintenance rarely does a good job. However, I would recommend living here if none of that matters to you and you just want convenience to Route 18.

Please save yourself the trouble!
I honestly don't know where to begin with this nightmare. We moved in here 10 months ago thinking it was an amazing deal and the best move of our life! Sooo not the case! As soon as we moved in we began noticing the horrible workmanship done in the apartment (paint drips, crown molding coming away from the ceiling, holes in the cabinets, etc.) The first impression of this complex is wonderful but look deeper, this place is weak. The floors and walls are so thin I can literally hear the man downstairs snoring! As far as the staff here what a joke!!!!! The maintenance men are clearly illegal and some don't even speak English. They are useless, not even knowing how to fix minor issues...that is when they even bother to respond to maintenance calls. I have been calling for months trying to get quite a few things fixed with absolutely NO response! The worst part about them is they don't knock and walk in unexpectedly ALL THE TIME! One time they actually came in while I was getting dressed and caught me in my bra and underwear, seriously who the heck does that?? Parking is God awful. People steal your assigned spots leaving you no where to park. I believe guest parking has about 7 spots, with a complex this size that's not enough. The people living in this place a garbage plain and simple! Drug dealers, unemployed and illegals. The residents will screw with you for the pure joy of it. Management sucks, they are liars and cheats!! We make about $5,000 less a year than the required $50,000 to move in and the manager straight up told us to lie! Who else is she telling to lie, maybe people making drug money? She will do anything to fill apartments. She lied right to my face saying "all the crap is gone now that I'm here." Everything about this place is hell! It has been nothing but aggravation and tears over the drama here. We are thinking about paying off the next few months in advance just to get out of here early. Please I am begging you not to believe the lies, don't be stupid like us!!! If you love yourself and your family keep them away from here.

The best place to live!
I just would like to say management is amazing. They have hired new people and anyone with complaints or problems, their issues are addressed. I have never had a problem living here and I feel good knowing that if I need someone they are there. Also to those postings about parking and what not I feel that it is silly to complain just go to management and get it taken care of. I would not go anywhere else....abington woods is the place for me and my family.

Worst Place To Live
I just moved out and I swear on all I love, this was the WORST place to live ever! They promise whatever you want to get you in and then BAM you don't exist. If you live on the first or second floor the noise from above is horrible. And don't bother to complain to Keith about it. He doesn't care. They let people rent the clubhouse and have very loud parties until the wee hours of the morning. The guests park wherever they want including MY PARKING SPACE! Try coming home at 11:00 at night and not having anywhere to park. Sure you could have them towed but you take the chance of retribution. And believe me, from the looks of the people partying at the clubhouse, they wouldn't think twice about vandalizing your car. I wish I could make anyone reading this understand how horrible it is there. In the year I lived there I never met anyone who liked it. The turnover rate must be close to 100%. Save yourself the nightmare.

Unsafe?
I agree entirely with the new review. I am thinking about moving my family out asap as we simply don't feel safe here anymore. It has gone downhill faster than anyone could have imagined. The open drug-dealing. The doors slamming, the parties all hours throughout the night. Every aspect that targets safety is just short of meaningless and shotty.......(I.E. the flimsy ------ locks, lots of people having codes)it's just not worth living in fear....and living with that feeling of vulnerability and the move-in move-out proves this 100%. I will add pics soon!

Do not rent here!!!!
At first glance these apts look great but look deeper and you'll see the mold, inferior craftmanship and shortcuts taken to save money. The only thing worse is the management who lie to your face and inconsistently inforce guidelines so you'll find yourself living in a community where you won't feel safe. No visitor parking so everyone parks in your reserved space leaving you with no where to park.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have lived there for 7 months now and greatly looking to move out when my lease is up. The place looked beautiful when i first looked at it but the poor craftmanship is horrible. For those living on the 2nd and 1st floor they are really having a uncomfortable stable due to the noise from the the people living above them due to the hard wood floors that were poor done. One can hear people going up the stair if your rooom is near the stairs. You can actually hear people walking with their shoes on the hard wood floors as well as having breakfast as they pull their seat at their dinning tables. I must laos say that the management there is very disorganized.
