The office and Maint Ena ce staff working profesional and responsibly. The place is fine except that we have neighbour who are somewhat boisterous on Friday, Saturday or sunday afternoom.Including barbecue in área not allowed.

I moved here four years ago and the property was very nice Im currently still in the community and the change of management has made my living experience much more enjoyable everyone works together to make it more enjoyable by taking care of the property as well as the tenants I would recommend this to anyone in need of a rental this is a wonderful place to live.

Temporary until my spouse moves up and we can move to a house. Meets my needs so far and it is close to where I work, easy commute. No real issues at this time. Only issue is parking is chaotic and parking spaces are not uniform in size making it difficult at times to park my pickup truck.

As a stickler for good customer service, I can honestly say the staff at Northlake is quite pleasant and helpful. Often times, you can hear personable staff members greeting residents on a first-name basis. Maintenance also deserves acknowledgement, as they tend to issues with quick and efficiently. Overall, Northlake is a great community. Unfortuantely, my job required me to relocate to Tennessee. So, I had to leave. =(

The community was much better during the late 2009 into 2013. Then the thugs came in of course due to the common greed for money by Equity Residential who had no intentions of upgrading the place. Deteriorating structures when compared to similar communities in the area. The tiny few decent tenants are outnumbered by the undesirables, no need to smoke weed to get high because the scent is rampant at times especially in the summer evenings. The different styles of men underwear is a daily feature that hits you when you come out of your place. The few decent tenants has to contend with the undesirables garbage that is piled up the night before. To the maintenance crews credit, they only walk the grounds in the morning to pick up the garbage, unfortunately any garbage that greets you on the stairways and hallways are left to the few clean tenants to move it out of their way. Upon entering Northlake via Great Seneca, most of the time the undesirable hang outs and liquor bottles usually sets the tone for whats inside. Floors squeak like hell, the complex needs upgrading in all aspects and if you are planning to visit NL to rent an apartment, dont let the great upgraded leasing office fool you, pay close attention to the finer details then ask your tour guide if there are any plans in place to upgrade the complex. Look at the stairwells how rusty and dilapidated they are, look at the cleanliness of the hallways, look at the type of tenants and how much of them is home during the day. If you can get pass the upgraded leasing office and follow my advice then you will definitely NOT consider Northlake. If you prefer living among undesirables, then NL is for you.

At first sight this complex seems like it is a good deal for the cost. Give it three to six months and you will start to see that while the apartments are spacious and the grounds are cleaned most of the time there are several issues... 1. parking is limited and you have to get home by 5pm to hope for a space that doesn't require you to walk across an entire parking lot in the dark. 2. you pay $50 to reserve a space that other people will use some days and the main office will tell you to call them about it between business hours, which leaves you struggling to find an empty space. To add to the issue the contracted tow truck company will not remove cars without the permission from the leasing office which is not open after 6pm. 3. the noise from the tenants above feels like you are right there in the room with the person. 4. the breezeways are garden style so a. friends with wheelchairs cannot visit b. other tenants who speak loudly or speak in the breezeway (which happens periodically) are quite loud 5. expect the leasing office to listen to your concerns and DO NOTHING ABOUT IT in addition to refuse to return your calls. 6. feel free to enjoy the small gym, pool, and free dog treats in the leasing office. while I can tolerate living here, had i known about the lack of tenant support and issues with other tenants respecting space and noise levels I would have chosen another location.

Comfortable apartments in terms of layout and amenities. Sunny and spacious apartments. The ceilings are too thin. Footsteps from upstairs are amplified in the downstairs apartment. The train noise is annoying at 2:00 am in the morning. Technical staff is outstanding. They take care of issues in timely and professional manner. Courteous and efficient. They have good experience and expertise. The front office staff is incompetent and shows lack of initiative or any problem solving skills. The current manager doesn't even the proper etiquette of talking with tenents. The previous staff members under the old company were great in terms of knowledge, competency, efficiency and management.

I have been increasingly displeased with my experience in this community since Bainbridge took over Northlake Apartments. The management/leasing office staff have been uncordial and downright rude, at times. They have also engaged in sneaky tactics such as that used to cheat my family out of our $500 referral reward. Further, the current leasing office staff has proven extremely inept in their handling of mail/UPS/FedEx deliveries in that I have had packages just waiting in the office without having been notified of such, and I have learned of other tenants experiencing the same problem.

I have had no problems in the year I have lived here. For the most part the community is quiet and feels safe, and the staff are all friendly. The floors are a little creaky, but otherwise my unit was in great shape. None of the issues with insects or appliances that I have had in other places.

Good Big turnover at office but mostly very responsive have a paid parking space and not all residents are very respectful of that . Many times have had to leave notes that it is a reserved spot.Have requested the reserve sign be painted again as it has become faded-has yet to be done!

Peaceful. Could use some upgrades to appliances. Apartments are smaller than usual. However, it's a comfortable space. The pets here are a bit too much. Lots of barking at times and no way to figure out where it's coming from.

I would not recommend these apartments to anyone. The neighbors below us constantly complain about us walking "too loud" when there are only two adults and a newborn baby living here.You're in an apartment what do you expect!! Either get a top floor or don't live in an apartment at all. The same neighbors also complain about us smoking when neither one of us smoke. Staff is not very responsive. Packages are sent to my house and I am not notified when they are taken to the leasing office. I was pregnant so I was getting gifts sent from my registry and had no idea I was receiving anything. Lastly there are ROACHES despite the fact that we clean constantly. The exterminator came and sprayed but this did nothing. The apartments are priced good for the amount of space but it's not worth it !!!
