I have been living at The Blairs since Sept 2015 and now I have again chosen this for next 1 year. Its a great community with great facilities. Included utilities and close to metro station and Giant are the most likable things for me.

I really love the community at the Blairs. It's been incredibly nice and very enjoyable. The people who work for the Blairs are very nice and helpful. It's located in a great area, close to great restaurants, the metro, and downtown without all the noise of being downtown.

The Blairs is a great place to live. The lobby and common spaces are all incredibly well maintained and clean. It's generally a quiet building and the apartments are spacious (even my studio has a large walk in closet). I love that the building runs on wind power!

This apartment was introduced by our friends. They lived here for two years. The staffs in the Blairs are very friendly. It has beautiful landscapes. Sometimes, the price her often changes, even though the changes are small.

Our experience living in the Blair Towns has been very positive. The property is generally well-maintained, the location is great and they offer a lot of extras and amenities like free yoga and kickboxing as well as happy hours (though no pool :-( ). The gym is pretty nice as well compared to some of the tiny gyms in other complexes I've lived in. We have had some communication issues with property staff, but overall our interactions have been positive and professional.

Office lacked to address problems. Never called back on their own and I had to continously reach out to them months on end. Finally got a response after 2 months of me calling them and leaving messages and going into the office to speak to them. They were never available.

Leasing staff was very friendly, and helpful. Love the lifestyles program and the other various activities they have in the community. So far I am very impressed. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to others. Kid friendly.

The location is very convenient to the Metro and grocery store with a dry cleaner and multiple restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The building puts many events together to encourage meeting your neighbors and socializing, if you're into that sort of thing.

I made the decision to move to this community because I wanted to remain in my current neighborhood and The Blairs offers several different apartment choices and a variety of price points. The Blairs is a community with a lot of character - business office staff are great and the neighbors are friendly. The space is clean and well maintained and the amenities are a great value (free exercise classes, recycling and composting, gym, community room, social events). The rates are very competitive too.

The Blairs are located in the heart of exciting downtown Silver Spring with easy access to the WMTA metro and bus depot. The buildings and grounds are very neat and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We love living at the Blairs!

I am so pleased with our maintenance man, Jerry. Out of the four years I have lived at the Blair's, I can honestly say he is the most friendly, helpful staff that I have met. He addresses every maintenance request in a very timely manner and brings a great attitude along in the process. I wanted to put in a good word for him because I really appreciate his help these last few years at the Blair's and he deserves recognition as well as a raise. His people skills and hard work don't go unnoticed.

Overall the Blairs is really great - close to downtown Silver Spring, DC, and public transportation options. The buildings and amenities are very nice and the apartments are a good value, especially if you're a student with the 5% discount. However, I have had countless problems with management since I moved in last September. Our neighbors are frequent illegal drug users whose excessive smoking comes straight into the bedroom and disrupts our ability to sleep. This was brought to the attention of management with minimal response. Their elevators are not functioning properly; I ended up in the Emergency Room several weeks ago due to my arm getting crushed by the door, and management/security hardly batted an eye. And please keep in mind if you are interested in using the student discount, that it DOES NOT renew with subsequent lease terms regardless of your status as a student. In conclusion, I've made my home at the Blairs and will most likely stay for as long as I live in the DC area, barring any more ridiculous increases in rent. I just wish management gave half a crap about their residents and their general health, happiness, and well-being.

Pretty good so far, the leasing office was very helpful. The only issues I ran into was that it took a long time to get my keys and sign my new lease since management took a while to approve but my leasing agent was able to push that through. Gym could be cleaned more often.

The Blairs have been the best "home away from home". It offers every amenities that anyone would need and I love the various activities that are held, its adds that extra "touch". Since living at the Blairs for the past 5 months, all of my Guests have commented on how much they love the Blairs and my only regrets is that I wish I had signed the 24-months agreement.

The sustainability initiatives are great and the location is very convenient. Management supports recycling and compost, and they even have receptacles for scrap metal and old appliances. For convenience, the location is hard to beat (for the suburbs). There's a 24-hr CVS (although the pharmacy is not 24 hrs) and a Giant grocery store in the same complex. The noise from construction makes it really unpleasant (Mon-Sat, from 7am), and they plan to continue it for several years. This may be better in other parts of the complex, but in my unit (Blair Plaza, west-facing windows) we are basically right next to it, and we hear everything (even with windows closed, heavy curtains, and radio/TV on at mid to high volume levels). Also, the windows are paper thin. They don't insulate, and in the summer it gets insanely hot (we have insulating blackout curtains, and the AC still can't keep it below 80F on sunny afternoons). In the winter, the heat works pretty well in the apartment, but the areas by the windows are freezing cold. We've had frost build up on the inside before. I don't have a dog, but a lot of people in the complex do. I think this is one of the only places that doesn't have a size restriction? I'm not sure about breed restrictions. Overall, the "bang for your buck" is decent but not great. Management also raises the rent above the County's recommended limit every year; long-term renters pay very similar prices to the rates listed online for new tenants. I will say that there are relatively few hidden costs: aside from the cost of using the laundry machines (two on each floor), we pay about $20-25/mo for electric, and all other utilities (including heat/AC) are included in the rent. I suspect if you get a unit in a different building in the complex, it might not be that bad.

Everyone on the staff has been extremely friendly and out-going. Each person has been helpful and anxious to make living here a positive experience. The few times I have had minor repairs, the staff has been prompt and helpful in addressing the problem. I also appreciate the focus on the community focus on being "green."

It is changing. Now the surrounding Silver Spring has more and more rough looking folk ( homeless, panhandlers, and teenage packs) hanging out because of easy Metro access. More of these people are finding their way to the Blairs than before to beg, sleep, and hang around

Great experience, good value for my rent, and great amenities such as a fitness center, workout classes, and a door person. Also my 2 bedroom apartment is quite spacious and well-kept. The few times I've needed repairs- the service was quickly rendered. So happy here
