Fine apartment. Close to metro. 24 hour receptionist. Parking garage is available. I'm just completing this because I want to get a gift card but the place is fine. I wouldn't mind living in DC as opposed to living in the apartment. But if you don't want to get a bunch of roommates in some house in DC then this place is fine. I gave it 5 stars on all categories.

at the beginning it was all good then the quality went down, the staff started being rude, they are not responsible if you have any problem anymore, and the quality of amenities went down, they don't take care of them

The fact that a Giants, CVS and Whole Foods is within 5-10 minutes walking distance, makes the life of a single working professional like me really easy. The silver spring metro right accha the street helps too.

We have only been at The Blairs for a little under two weeks, but so far our experience at The Blairs has been great. The grounds are nice. The facilities are well maintained. The concierge is always helpful. Move in was smooth.

The Blairs is a community / family building. The front staff is very pleasant ,helpful, and knowledgeable about the services here. The office staff always greet you by name with a smile. They are helpful and ready to assist with your concerns. The maintenance staff go about their work and always clean up after completing the job. They seem to know the make up of the building.

The Blairs provided us everything we were looking for in a new home - space, value, community, and safety. It outpaced other living options in the area by far, and the choice to live here was a no-brainer.

I've resided in Blair House apartments since September 2016. I cannot say I have any complaints. The community and amenities are very welcoming and convenient, with the on-site 24-hour fitness center, marvelous club room to entertain guest or just relax you pretty much have everything you need within arms reach; including the shopping center, Silver Spring metro and downtown Silver Spring shops less than a 5-10 minute walk away.

Overall good. I like that they compost, recycling and have laundry on each floor. You can tell however that the apartments are in an old building. I have heard people have problems with bugs/ mice, which thankfully I haven't yet. If you live on an upper floor you'll stay warm in the winter but it will get hot in the summer !

The community is good. However, the noise (especially from the Zumba Class, downstairs from my apartment) destroys all my experience. The high bass music makes my room moving; sometimes, I feel like that I am in a small earthquake.

I really enjoy living at The Blairs. It's been really great because of the convenience to the metro, restaurants, grocery store, and downtown silver spring. I would recommend this building to others in a heartbeat.

I like the convenience and location. The maintenance staff is very responsive and get requests handled very quickly. We have gotten a few packages stolen from our front door and the security cameras never picked it up. That was frustrating

The Blairs are a great place to live. The concierge, business office, leasing office, and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly. Amenities are great. Grounds and buildings are well kept. Hard to beat the proximity to shopping and metro.

This place is conveniently located close to the metro. The noise level is very low in terms of neighbors or street traffic. Most people in the community are good. The classes offered in the gym are amazing too.

The Blairs has a great location. It is in the center of everything. The only downfall is that Pizza Hut does not deliver there. Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbvbbbbb

Great. Until the dogs came. Too much noise. Dog urine and droppings all over the front of the building/ lawn areas. Elevators always very slow and dogs and people have to use the same elevators. Need separate elevators for pets only. I cannot have the dogs and my food/ groceries in the same elevators

Living at the Blairs has been great. The maintenance staff respond very quickly to any requests, usually the same day. The buildings are very dog friendly and the dog park has been a great place for my dog and I to spend time and meet people. (Note: if you're looking for quiet, don't get a unit that faces the dog park.) The apartment units themselves are very quiet - even when something sounds loud in the hallway, as soon as I go inside and close my door I can't hear anything. The rent is very reasonable for the square-footage and proximity to the metro and downtown. The units don't have central AC or an in-unit washer/dryer but the luckily the first was only an issue for a couple of days (it got too warm for my dog to stay home alone and we went to stay somewhere else before the AC was turned on). There are washers and dryers on each floor, but I took my laundry to a friend's rather than pay to use the apartment units. All of the staff are great - the concierges are friendly and get to recognize you. The business office responds promptly to emails and has been pleasant when I've called with questions. The community at the Blairs is also great. There are all kinds of tenants, from single professionals to young families to residents who have been here for 15-20+ years. I would definitely recommend living here, if you don't mind the AC and washer/dryer status.

A decent choice given that it's relatively affordable as compared to similar apartments in DC. Nothing particularly impressive but during my brief 9-month stay, nothing really problematic came up either. I would recommend it if you are on a budget and are happy with a "good but not great" place to stay.

Fantastic place, top notch facility and apartments. Best price in the area also. The leasing staff is really friendly and available to answer any question. Concierge service is top notch and gym facility on site is a major win.

This is a great place to live. This place has some of the largest floor plans in the area with lots of space so I was able to move all of my furniture in with no major issues. It's usually pretty quiet and I can barely hear my neighbors, unless they're in the hallway. It's also great that there's onsite security available. It's a bit pricey to live here, in my opinion, especially when you consider it's an old building (from the 60s) requiring constant maintenance, and the price is what you'd pay at a new construction. The only difference is the space you get here. If it wasn't for all of the space compared to that of other complexes in the area, I'd probably go to a newer place that's at least already wired for cable TV and has central heating and air.

Persistent, long term maintenance issues with a minimum of urgency from management regarding getting them fixed. There are much better options in the area, and I can't recommend moving into the Blairs.

When apartment looking for an apartment, don't just stick with one complex, go by the community complex different times of the day, talk to residents of the complex, pay attention to the different reviews

We moved this location due to transportation accessibility. Great location and walkable distance to retails and entertainment. The apartment is secure and peaceful. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Everything so far so good.

The apartments are spacious, but everything is old. Layers and layers of paint on the walls. The tubs are worn and always look dirty. Maintenance half fixes things. I've had to call about the same issue more than once. I've giving up on the idea of having certain things work right. Apartment rental staff can be rude. I have experienced this and so has my friend that rented another unit.

As for the apartment itself, I like it. The layout is great; we reside in a three bedroom townhouse. However, the community is very sub-par. Our neighbors have filed numerous noise complaints against us for listening to music at an incredibly reasonable volume. It is nearly impossible to watch a movie at night without having the police or security intervene. When I have voiced my concern to management, they did not take my concerns into consideration.

Since we moved in two months ago, we have grown to love the place more and more. The common areas are always clean, the concierge staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and the apartment is so spacious!
