The Blairs has been a convenient place to live during our first few years in the D.C. metro area. It's conveniently located near downtown Silver Spring, directly across from the metro station. Although the apartment buildings themselves are older, the lobbies and common areas are freshly renovated and apartments are well-maintained. For the price we pay for a studio, I would have expected a dishwasher and a better bathroom, but these are tradeoffs we made for a good location. The staff has been generally friendly and helpful, and all maintenance requests are completed quickly and professionally.

Location location location. And much more! This place wins the contest in location and affordability. The grocery store (Giant) is literally below our apartment. If you need anything, no need for a car! The shopping center with marshalls and tjmaxx and h&m is about a 10 minute walk from the place. The subway station is 3 minutes away (I timed myself!). The security is superb. There is 24 hr concierge.

I've enjoyed my experience living here and have no complaints. There was an extended period without a microwave but other than that no issues or complaints. Cost is high for me but that's more so on my end. the community has me leaning on stay.

It's a good place to live. The staff is friendly and happy to help. Not a very quiet place to live for sure. When I moved in my apartment was not ready to move in; so, I was very unhappy with the leasing office. When I complain they get it ready in two days. A few things took a little longer to get fixed. Over all it was an okish experience.

It's an okay apartment. The staff is very nice, but not really prompt. The building is located near the Silver Spring Metro station, which is very convenient. There is a grocery store and CVS pharmacy nearby. Noise from traffic, the Metro, and you can hear any person in the parking lot, which is right outside my window. The blinds don't really block any light and you are exposed to all the lights in the parking lot, which I really don't like. So transportation is great, but the noise (including barking dogs) and lighting conditions.

Overall good community with friendly people. Overall management could do a better job with communication and parking enforcement. The building is always clean and I do feel like it's a safe place to live in. I love the exercise classes offered. The instructors are excellent and probably better than any of the classes I've been to at a gym.

We are so grateful that the Blairs had space available on such short notice and that they accepted our pets! We feel very lucky to have met all our needs right here in one place. It is also a blessing to have the grocery store right next door, plus an office centre one block away. So many conveniences - not to mention the metro and the free Silver Spring circulator!

The blairs is a good community, well maintained and has good personable staff. They respond quick to any queries or requirements. One missing thing is a childern's playground or any kind of safe area for child to play, run around or ride a bike.

I am a new resident here for about just one week. The staff at lobby and leasing office are so nice. Although I have some heavy packages, they still have enough patient to deal with it and pay more attention to me because I have no idea about the neighbors and shopping centers in Silver Spring.

When I moved into Blair Plaza, I was told our apartment offered a swimming pool for the residence. But there's no pool since last year. We paid for the service but where it is? I hope the apartment can offer more services for its residences. Thanks!

No complaints. Staff is friendly, maintenance requests are taken care of quickly, it is very convenient being so close to the metro and downtown Silver Spring. The amenities are great, such as the free fitness classes, the only thing missing is a pool!

Beautiful apartment in tip top condition, huge open layout, beautiful windows and natural light. Fitness room, green initiatives, and classes are a nice bonus. I was specifically looking for pet friendly housing, so that narrowed the possibilities considerably, and it was great to find such a nice space that also welcomed pets!

I enjoy the Blairs. They are professional and extremely nice. I like the closeness of staying downtown, but I also feel that my apartment is a nice relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. I plan on renewing my lease next year.

I work in PG County, MD, but wanted to be close to friends and activities in DC. You really can't beat the location (metro literally across the street) and the grocery store downstairs is a bonus! I've had great experiences with the concierge staff and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Blairs to anyone in the area!

The community has gone down dramatically. Reliance on trying to make things look better but not making the buildings better. Windows are terrible. Better off spending money on the buildings vs ugly decorating in the lobby. Security staff has decreased. Air-conditioning no longer functions as it did previous summers.

Blair House is very nice, people are friendly. Great location to shops and Metro. Dog friendly. They just opened a dog park which is great. The park is also a nice addition to the community. I would recommend this property. It is pleasant and comfortable.

The sense of community at the Blairs is great. They really go out of their way to make me feel like I am part of the family and not just a renter. Issues are promptly fixed and I've always felt super safe and welcome. I wish I had moved here earlier!

Terrible, over-priced apartment compleX.Do not move here. YOU will be affected by the 25 yr Blairs redevelopment plan. You will experience health issues, disruptive noise, unresponsive management and an overall poor quality of life. No one cares here. Construction projects have ruined the complex, neighborhood, and traffic conditions. Dust, water sbut-offs, inadequate AC, broken equipment, you NAME it! Nowhere to walk dog, sit & get aome fresh air. Parking rules are not enforced despite costing $100/mo. Bogus security company and increasing crime.
