Overall good, but needs to do more to make things better. No real amenities for all guest just some. Not enough activities and most of the staff only give lip service to complaints. More needs to be done all groups, young, older and disabled. You don't do much to enclude all of the for mentioned groups. No pets you don't care. Only young and pet owes do you do things for.

I've had a great time living at the Blairs. It's fun, community-oriented, and environmentally friendly. There are classes to take, events to participate in, and much more! I've made quite a few friends here now, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to live here! It's truly wonderful!

As new residents at The Blairs, we are very happy that we chose The Blairs for our new home. The building is well maintained, and the neighborhood allows us to walk to everything that we need; grocery store, restaurants, coffee, etc. The Community Room and Fitness Center are also wonderful amenities!

Overall, this is a decent place to live. It has the usual issues, but overall I've been happy here. I'm a little unhappy with the decision to charge for utilities, especially since the thermostats really aren't functional. Heat and air are either off or on.

As somebody who's studied the methodology of surveys, I find required answers like these disturbing. While I understand why you want this particular answer answered, forcing people to write 200 characters when in all actuality most people would skip this section is a foolhardy task. Most people would skew their answers because they're "forced" to answer something. Don't make this section mandatory and you will get fewer answers but they will be better.

I have been moved to this community for about a week. So far, everything is so convenient for me. It's close to the metro station since I do not have a car. It has a Giant supermarket downstairs which is one minute walk. Also, it's very easy to walk to downtown Silver Spring.

Looking forward to moving out. Lots of broken false promises, elevators never work hallways stink like trash no amenities changes in your lease contract to add cost after you've already signed it do yourself a favor skip this place on your search. Your time is better spent.

I used to love the Blairs. That was until they started raising the rent, charge for electricity, all while closing down our pool and decreasing business office hours. Feels like I keep paying more for less. My apartment, however, is nice...

The community is nice especially the location - close to everything. One of my concerns is the couple of trees in front of the building (Blair East). They impact the lighting in all the apartment in the lower levels and are also potential threats in days with extreme weather

Very organized community with great common spaces. The apartments are in very good conditions, the staff personnel is always willing to help. Some issues come perhaps from other residents that don't respect the community rules like, for example, smoking in their apartments when this is prohibited. To my opinion the Blairs offers the best cost/benefit in the area

This community is great for both singles and families to live in. the service is good and always in time. People living in the blairs are quite polite to each other. I feel happy to choose the blairs as my living place. Plus, the gym is good for us to do some exercises.

Friendly staff and concierge. I moved here because of the location to work and access to shopping, entertainment, restaurants and Metro. I do believe pricing is too much not to have parking, all utilities paid or washers and dryers in unit.

Living at the Blairs has been both fun and convenient. With amenities such as free gyms, concierge, and even free coffee, living here is truly like being at home. Also, being literally across the street from Washington DC, nearby shopping, and several transportation options, living here has made coming home from the daily 9-5 like coming home to my personal spa resort.

Moved in June 2014 and have enjoyed my experience so far. Our apartment was clean and identical to the model we were showed prior to signing the lease. Great community activities and location. Always feel safe on the premises. Only issue I can think of is occasional noise from the freight trains in the morning, but that isn't really an issue since I'm usually already up for work.

Our bedroom AC unit was blowing warm air. We put in a maintenance request that was completed in two days. The first time the maintenance person came to fix it, he turned the unit on and closed the ticket (we had turned the unit off to prevent a high electric bill from the unit running constantly while it wasn't working). We had to email the property manager to have the crew come back. The staff was responsive and courteous, save the initial issue.

Living at the Blair's has been a great experience. My kitchen has lots of cabinet space and the bedroom closet is huge. Also living next to Giant is extremely convenient. I could not ask for a better living situation. Only negative is that they are getting rid of the pool, but the other perks offered here make up for it.

I've lived here for about 4 months now and love it. I have one of the newer "eco-pads". The flooring and fixtures are gorgeous and super easy to maintain. Since it's an old building, the walls are solid. I have never heard a peep through the walls or from the neighbors above or below me. Never seen a single bug - everything is kept very clean by the cleaning staff. Maintenance requests are easy to make online and have always been taken care of the next day with a friendly note left by the staff to let me know it was done. The location is amazing - right next to grocery, drug store, restaurants, and the Metro. I can walk to just about everything. One two issues I've seen: 1) the elevators are frequently being worked on or held or somehow out of service so they are very slow and 2) the washers and dryers in the laundry room are poorly maintained by the third party vendor. In particular, I have only once been able to get a load of laundry dried in a single 45 minute/$1.75 cycle. Most of the time, I have to run it through at least twice to get the clothes dry. I really wish the vendor would fix this or that the apartment would find another vendor. Otherwise, this place is awesome and I'd highly recommend it!

Overall my experience has been good here. It's an older building so it comes with those problems but it's very convenient to the Metro, downtown SS and shops and restaurants. I've also lived here without a car which I have never done previously. The access to Zipcar, Metro, and things within walking distance is the biggest plus but don't expect perfection. Also, I'm a dog owner but this building has LOTS of dogs. If you are not a dog lover or that would be an issue for you, consider that in your search as well.

We love the "green" community. Additionally, the staff at Blair House (concierges, maintenance) have been wonderful. The convenience (to Metro and supermarket) was the clincher when deciding to lease our apartment, as they are within walking distance... no car required!

I'm happy living in Blair. Unfortunately a year ago, somebody stole my bicycle from covered parking. I not received a satisfactory answer to my request about What happened with the security system.I still waiting to know how the building is going to repair the damage that has caused me the loss of my bike.

I have enjoyed living in the Blairs community. The rent is comparable to the location, amenities, and furnishing of the apartments. The staff has been helpful and the residents have been courteous. I only wish we still had a pool and the parking wasn't as expensive.

It is very good community. People are friendly and support each other. The environment is clean, well organized and safe. I enjoy a lot activities and entertainment. Especially the computer club room, BBQ grills are very impressive. we like to spend some time there for studying, watch NBA with neighbors and have a small chat. All in all, We have a lot fun to stay here.
