Clean and quiet community with great amenities in an unbeatable location. The staff is attentive and polite. Proximity to Rock Creek Park, metro, and downtown Silver Spring. Rent is more reasonable than other apartments in Silver Spring and you get more than what you pay for.

Great experience living here. I love my unit and the location. Although many of the residents that I have known throughout my time here have moved, I have elected to stay as long as I am able. I will miss the pool. The only negative is residents who let their dogs urinate, etc. on the G2 level even since the signs have been put up.

mixed experience.Its a clean community, looks safe. Too many pets. swimming pool non functional.Gym area small and usually full with people.Not many garbage cans. The dryer in the laundary room is non functional, has not been fixed despite repeated requests. Overall fine.

Closing 2 of the 3 dog parks, leaving only 1 tiny dog park. Initially did not have to pay electric, and after 6 months of living here, we now do. Took away the pool even though nearby construction hasn't started. Frequent water shut offs due to maintenance.

So far it has been great. Minor hiccup with malfunctioning fire alarms early one morning, and insects getting into the apartment, but other than that I have been extremeley satsified with the apartment complex. Mild noise issue because I am situated above the garage door but it only becomes a nuisance when I am in the restroom.

The Blairs has four buildings. Three of them are older, and one is new. Over the nine I've been in this building, I have met some wonderful people. However, the landlords have been neglecting the presence of guards. We used to have at least one in each building every day, but now, there is only one guard for the whole complex. It use to be that people who are moving in or out had to have a 4-hour during the day. Now, the Blairs allow people to move in the middle of the night. New pictures and tables in the lobby of the building doesn't meet the Blair that is used to be.

Excellent experience at Blairs East. Very well maintained. Responsive staff. Only thing I don't like is the noise of trains and metro nearby. Could use more parking, especially handicapped parking (visitor parking is insufficient and far away.)

Our experience has been just ok. I love that the community composts but the cost, coupled with poor administrative service and poor maintenance quality (primarily with our bathroom window and painting services) do not make the community great. I love the apartment and wish to stay but can't because of the previous reasons.

Moved in in September, 1996. Wish you master key opened my doors. Per retired plumber, it is an old old master key. Wish I did not have to pay for parking Wish I did not have to pay for Electric. Wish Dogs did not kill the plants. Wish rent structure was more consistent at 9-12 moths lease.

Do not believe the happy yoga dance they sell you in the leasing office. This place is a corporate money suck and you will wish you had gone elsewhere. The leasing office representative told me the wrong amount to pay when I picked up my keys. I don't mean it was off by 50 bucks, I mean it was off by more than $500. And this incorrect amount was in writing on corporate letterhead. But my belongings were on a truck by then, and even though it was in writing, I had to pony up the extra to get the keys. She also give me misinformation about parking availability availability. The business office does not appear to communicate to the leasing office. Be aware that you will be sold this place by one department and will actually have to answer to the rules of another one - one you won't meet until after you have signed the lease and that is only open during business hours. Only one elevator works and the G2 level smells like a rest home. The beautiful laundry room big screen TV does not work. One of the 3 dryers on my floor does not work. Someone was literally shot to death in this building last year, but you won't be told that during the tour. And beware of the online rent portal. There is no support for it - it's confusing and no one will answer questions with anything but "It's right. pay it." I cannot wait to move out of this place.

Where to start.... Well if you are a single person with no car and plans on never having anyone over, this place wouldn't be that bad. However, there is almost no guest parking so your friends have the risk of being towed by parking by the Giant next door. Don't trust the front desk for keeping your packages safe. They claim they have no responsibility for them after accepting them. I had one that magically "walked away" and when I tried to report it the first thing they said was "Although we have no responsibility for packages at the front desk we will ask the person who was on duty". This availed nothing. Sound is horrible. If you have neighbors that travel a lot this would probably be fine. However, your luck (if it is like mine) you'll be stuck with the right side having newborns and the others newlyweds.....I need not explain more. Laundry isn't in unit but is on the floor. Be forewarned: pet hair from every dog and cat on the floor will end up being on your clothes once you are done washing and drying them. Metro is close and great access, save the winters when it is below freezing, icy, and all you want is to with you lived in Florida. Staff is generally friendly but non-effective. I'd imagine its equivalent to having a conversation with a senior citizen Walmart greeter with hearing issues. They're great at their job of smiling and saying "Hi", but try to ask them a question or report a maintenance issue, all they say is look at you with a blank stare and say "Hi, good evening sir". Maintenance: If you want it done, you'll have to say its urgent. Otherwise, they will schedule it, show up a week or two later, not fix it, and you'll have to repeat the issue.

A great location in downtown Silver Spring and friendly staff make for a lovely experience. The building is only a block from the metro and there are lots of amenities near by. You are paying for it but it does make for a great quality of living.

I enjoy the neighborhood, the restaurants and accessibility to public transportation. The staff has been professional, extremely courteous, and friendly. The request for repairs has been done in a timely fashion and satisfactory. Overall I am very happy to live here.

Community is very accessible to a lot of things: public transport, public library, groceries, banks, affordable restaurants, theaters, dry cleaners, and a good neighborhood to walk around. The Blairs provide good maintenance and security.

Good location, sustainability initiatives are a big plus. Apartments are new-ish and nice, slightly overpriced for the market. Downtown Silver Spring is getting better, but it's not entirely safe/clean and on weekends there are always police present.

Overall, the experience at the Blairs has been good. Recently, the maintenance department has not been as responsive regarding work orders that have been placed. Also, no cart at Blair House for the last 6 months, need to buy a card that can stand the use. Also, elevators ALL need to work on the weekends especially when there are people moving in.

In general, the Blairs have been an excellent community, and they have certainly made efforts to be friendly and efficient. The staff have always been helpful, and the management has been quite reasonable in their efforts as well. Given the location, it is a great place to live.

I have been here just over a year and have so far enjoyed my stay. Management has been prompt, exceptional, professional, and courteous. Maintenance has been just as great. The Blairs apartments are great. Well located, clean, lighted, close-by shopping, etc. I would recommend it for a family. The life-style program is excellent. I cannot wait to use the pool, it seems very nice. Parking lots are clean and safe.

I like living at the Blairs. I have been in my current apartment 5 years. It's great. I hope everyone finds out about the Blairs. The area has stores nearby including CVS and Giant. I am glad the stores are so close to my apartment. it makes my life wonderful.
