I love Blair East. The concierge people are always so friendly and helpful. I have only ever had one maintenance request and the staff took care of it very quickly. I have recommended the Blairs to many and will continue to do so because I really enjoy living here.

Great community, convenient location to metro, restaurants, grocery and drug store, cleaners and nail shop. Most of the neighbors are friendly. Not alot of activities for school age children at the Blairs now especially since they closed the pool.

The Blairs have been perfect for my husband and I. The apartments include plenty of amenities (gym, club room, computer access, free coffee in the morning, monthly free breakfast, exercise and crafting classes) and the common areas are always kept clean. It's a pet friendly building too! Some of the common areas for pets (dog parks) could be better maintained, but my experience with them has only been during the winter - maybe the summer months will mean cleaner dog parks! Convenient location with and everything at our finger tips: metro, groceries, restaurants, shops, outdoor markets, concert venue, movie theaters... we've been very happy with the quality of The Blairs.

The Blairs is a solid place to live. Great location. Very pet friendly. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally. The grounds are nice. I like that they're working on making things greener. My only complaints have to do with other residents. Many of the dogs we encounter are reactive, and their owners do not seem to be aware of that and certainly aren't doing anything about it. And many dog owners do not pick up after their dogs, which means you find lots of dog poop everywhere (despite there being freely available dog poop cleaning stations all over the place). As a dog owner, both of these issues are particularly frustrating for me. But despite those issues, the Blairs is still a really good place to live.

The Blairs has to be the first apartment in my 10 years of renting, that I have genuinely loved and called home. I love living here, and will recommend it to everyone I know! I have not had one unpleasant experience ever. The boyfriend & I love the Blairs!!

A lot of the reviews on here are not for Blair Towns, so please do not get confused. I have lived in Blair Towns for a year and a half and have really enjoyed my tenancy. Towns is LEED certified so my electricity bill has never been above $30, water stays around $20 and gas around $20 Parking: Is pretty bad. I have a parking garage so I have one "guest" space built in but otherwise your guests will be circling the block. Maintenance: Very responsive. A lot of times will handle issues the same day and will follow up with you to make sure things are to your liking. Concierge: 24-7 which is really nice. They are also very friendly Fitness Center: recently upgraded and is nice. You have to go to Blair House but its literally just across the parking lot. The Unit Itself: Not updated like the Ecopads in East, but the appliance are still new and nice and energy efficient. W/D in unit. Also, HUGE closet in the master which is such a big deal Noise: the only noise problems I've had is street traffic. After a week or so you don't notice it anymore Rent: wayyyy too expensive for me which is why I am moving. Rent plus parking is $3000, I may as well live in the City for that much!

nice apartment, but too expensive. not fair price for the value hardwood floors above make too much noise staff is quick to respond with requests (including maintenance) not fair that utilities were previously included in rent, but now each apartment is metered/billed individually, and rent price will not be lowered - residents are double paying, and this is unfair

I have been living in The Blairs for the last three years, 2014-2017 and they remove the pool in 2014 and not give any option but increasing rent yearly. That factor makes the Blair not offering the same amount of amenities that other communities with the same recant price has. One said that, The Blair are a nice place where to live, they have many activities and the maintenance team keep the spaces very clean and easy to use.

Not very pleasant with the leasing office service, sometimes the staff are not easy to communicate with. The common area amenities often broken, and no efficiency of fixing them at all. The sound insulation is not good, very disturbing...

I think overall the Blair's is a great place. I am, however, extremely dissatisfied with current residents not having access to a key amenity of the Blairs, which is the pool. Our rents have increased, as well as our parking rates, and we have lost a key driving force to live at the Blair's. The Blair's have not given options or compensation for not having a community feature that drove many to live at the Blair's. I enjoy living at the Blair's but I think it is unfair that you have taken away the pool (yes I understand its for construction) but also increase rent with less amenities, without giving resident's an option to use a local pool or other compensation. Also, I think there should be a trash can in the community garden (which I'm apart of) and on the 3rd floor entrance of the Blair Plaza.

The Blair House has been great. Parking and pets are an issue. I have two spaces I pay a lot of money for and at times others park in my paid spaces. No one ever really has helped with that. They don't tow anyone out of them and people park in them because they know nothing will happen. Instead we are inconvenienced. Never has anyone given us parking credit or made up for this to us. The animals smell and elevators smell of dirty dogs.

friendly, well decorated, lots of nice dogs! I like the sunny windows, the carpet is nice, it is just the size I wanted and have the furniture for so it is convenient and a place I am proud to have family & friends come to visit. that's all I can say, done

There have been a few hiccups regarding our unit, but usually the Blair's has been good about resolving. It's a little annoying how many issues we've had and the amount of money we pay for our unit...we have an Eco unit and pay one of the highest rent rates I. Plaza...so I just feel like our rent should not be increasing each year given fact we've lived here so many years...but overall we enjoy living here.

Overall it has been very positive for the first 1 1/2 months. Staff is very courteous, friendly and professional, especially at the front desk. We had 2 furniture deliveries plus the arrival of our stuff from our old residence - this all went smoothly because Blair East staff were very helpful. Our only negative experience has been with the noise -- beeping of trucks as they back up at the loading dock before sunrise; extreme rattling of windows when the winds are high velocity; and noise from other apartments (not music/TV, but sounds of running up above, or voices carrying through the bathroom vents). Speaking of vents, there is a vent in the hallway just above our entrance door. There often are nasty food odors blowing out of it, in your face as you unlock the door.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at the Blairs. With the exception of one or two of the concierge staff (who appear to have more interest in the computer than the resident), everyone has been so kind and helpful at all times. I am very pleased to live here.

In the three weeks that we have been here, I have been very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff--from the leasing office to maintenance. Very friendly community and the apartment amenities are nice. After dealing with unsavory landlords, it's a relief.

Great community to live in. Close to metro, Giants grocery, CVS and downtown silver spring. Apartments are clean and staff is helpful. Very highly recommended if you live in silver spring. The rent tends to be on the higher side compared to other apartments, but it is well worth it.

Over the years, the quality of life has declined significantly. Management added electricity payments monthly, increased the cost of parking, performing many construction projects, and removed a lovely outdoor pool that was shared by all of the buildings. There are many needed repairs in my building and mice have been identified.

My experience here has had ups and downs. They've done a lot of renovating, which is great, but it has come with a price - both in rent and inconvenience. Used to love the pool, but they're getting rid of it. Utilities are no longer included. Sad.

I only had a couple of issues. The first is not enough parking for guests. The second thing is I can hear my neighbors too clearly, and third is that I put in a maintenance request and when they couldn't get in, they never came back. Had to put in new request for them to come back.

Safe, modern, and convenient to shops and public transportation! I have lived year for 8 years now and the value, activities and amenities have increased. I am just disappointed the community pool was torn down and pool rights only afforded to the Pearl. Definitely and have and have not lifestyle at the Blairs...but the have nots still living in a nice atmosphere.

It was generally been a positive experience. The fact that my smoke detector goes off every time I use the oven and a lot of the time I use the stove is a serious issue that needs to be resolved or I will not be renewing my lease. The staff and employees are friendly and try to be helpful. The heat circulation is uneven. My unit is over someone's garage and the living room is much cooler than the second floor.

Fairly good space for the price but the rent goes up every year and, unless you're reliant on public transportation, it's not worth it. I've also had bad experiences with the business office so I don't recommend living here.
