I have been a resident for 5 years and have had a safe/ peaceful feeling. The surrounding schools are great!! My immediate neighbors have been friendly and the office staff has been very accommodating.

The apartment ratings are necessary because when you visit it's a totally different thing. Check several websites and look at the pictures carefully. Always visit the site and ask to look not only at the building but the dumpster area as well. This will let you know how the apartments are kept.

The people are very friendly and overall nice. They sometimes have community functions, like Taco Tuesdays or Ice Cream Socials, and the office is always willing to work with you. Maintenance can take a minute to show up, but they always fix any problems you may have. Some minor details in the apartment could be improved, but it's pretty nice for right off of Old Canton Road.

The community is quiet. The ground area needs work done. The appliances needs to be uptodate. The rent is too expensive to be paying for the way it looks. I think there should be more things done in the area.

Very nice community to live in ,but Veronica that works in the front office is very unprofessional and she needs to learn how to talk to the residence better and she is very rude. The other staff and maintenance team is very friendly.

Overall, the apartments are OK. If you work overnight, these may not be at the top of your list. There have been time where I was asleep and was waken by the sounds of someone (maintenance or management) in my apt. doing some kind of inspection. If you come home before 7:00 am, you may have trouble getting a decent parking. As for the community, they do a GREAT job at keeping the grounds clean and the grass cut. The units are spacious and for the most part quiet.

For the price, you would better off somewhere else. There isn't a park for children, although Lexington advertises one. Pay attention to your bill, because I was overcharged multiple times for electrical services by Lexington. The apartments severly need to updated. Maintance is nice but, things are fixed half hazardly.

This place is awful. Nothing ever works. Been trying to get my tub fixed for over 3 months. They are so rude. Have zero regards for the military men who live here. It's loud. There are groups of small kids and teens that run around causing a nuisance. People who take up more than one space in the already low parking. It's just awful. Counting down the days till we are out of this hell hole.

Veronica Moore the office manager is the most ignorant, rude, and disrespectful person you will ever have to deal with. She acts like a child and does not know how to interact with tennants. I made a mistake in moving to these apartments. I would never advise anyone to move there.

The worst office staff ever! They never answer he phone and the office is always closed. Veronica is the worst office manager I have ever seen. She's very rude and needs to be fired. The apartments are decent. Rashunda is very nice and I feel that she should be the manager. If you are panning on moving here, I would second guess about it.

WARNING: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!! They will trick you into thinking that these apartments are super nice because of the location! But Management is the absolute worst! Veronica is the most rude person I have ever met. She shouldn't be working with the public and RAIT is foolish for allowing her to continue on there. I am getting a lawyer to get out of my lease! The gate hasn't worked but 2 months out of the 2 yrs I've been here. The pool is NEVER open which is horrible! It's Summer and the kids want to swim! Yet management continues to lie as usual and make up reasons that it's not opened. Office staff is MEAN and Veronica talks to tenants like they are children. I'm sick of it, and I refuse to take it lying down! I pay almost $900 for a 2 bedroom! It's NOT worth it!!!!! I have contacted my lawyer!!!! I encourage others To get involved! We shouldn't have to deal with issues such as these!

I loved living at the Lexington in Ridgeland, MS. I felt safe there because of the controlled access. Also, Carmen, the manager --- is very nice and always there for the tenants to do what she can. The assistant manager as well as the guy who works there are both very nice and professional. Maintenance is also very helpful. Overall, the staff at the Lexington is the absolute BEST!!! I would recommend the Lexington to anyone who is looking for a nice apartment. I stayed for almost three years and I totally enjoyed it. It felt like home.....and I hated to leave.

This is the first apartment that my boyfriend and I have lived in. We have a young daughter. Living here has been hell on earth for MANY reasons. 1. Management is a joke, and they do not give a damn about you unless you're trying to get a lease here. Once you're in, it's to hell with you. 2. The maintenance "workers" are the laziest most unprofessional people I've ever encountered. They half --- the job so when it breaks later on (like the AC is CURRENTLY as I type this review) we are screwed and get a call that the air was broken and they were going to fix it. Turns out they didn't and we called back to see what happens and the maintenance worker said that management was supposed to call us to move some stuff out the way so they could get in the laundry room. Okay. Now this is the laziest ---- I've ever heard of. We had a wooden slab light enough for a 5"3 woman such as myself to move laying against the door and the only reason they didn't repair was because of that and a laundry basket and clothes were also in the room. I'm speechless. I really am. So our daughter gets to be sweaty and hot all day and night we all practically slept naked to keep cool in this hot apartment. 3. The neighbors are the most loud and ------ people. They have parties and when they do their music rattles my windows and my walls. Since we share a balcony, whenever some of them get on the balcony it's as if they are right inside my damn apartment. Cussing, smoking, listening to distasteful rap music (think auto tuned thugs high in a music studio). And they also have a drum set that they kindly play at least once a week. They also ALWAYS slam the door whenever they go somewhere. Slam!!! My pictures on the walls rattle. Slam!!!! My daughter screams. Slam!!!! I think I'm going to lose my ---- if they slam another door. They run in and out of the apartment a lot and always SLAM that door as loud as ------- possible. I could go on and on about these neighbors... But then I would have to write a book. Oh, and the only decent neighbors we had have moved out (clearly going to have to do the same). 4. This place is not cheap. So someone please tell me why the so called "amenities" that they boast so proudly on their website are almost NEVER available to actually use. The AC stopped working in the fitness room and they don't even care to fix that. They lock the Pool up at any given time on sunny days for no apparent reason other than to keep "other kids off the street" out which locks everyone who pays almost a thousand dollars a month to use it. The tennis court is a joke, it's used as a daycare center for people's dogs (I've seen them leave them in there) and kids. 5. Back to the maintenance workers. Our main toilet has been broken for months now. During a routine walk in I told the man about the toilet having issues where after you flush, it continues to flush itself and make an annoying sound. He asks his accomplice for a screwdriver..... Yeah a screwdriver... And makes it look like he fixed it. Of course when he left and I tried the toilet out I found it was doing the same exact thing. Big surprise I knew he didn't even do anything to it. 6. The gates. They never work. It's a joke. This is something that makes our rent higher than say, Sunchase next door. Because we have a gate, right? Wrong. This thing is never working so they leave it open. They have more than enough money to fix the gate but they choose not to. So it's basically a decorative open fence. 7. Don't move here take your business somewhere else. I could go on and on here. The apartments themselves are not that bad. They're pretty small for a two bedroom and the closet space is the worst you could get. But management and the environment is just a bad trade off. If you don't believe me come see for yourself and live here. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The office worker by the name Will is one of the worst office people that I have ever come across at an apartment complex. He's extremely nonchalant, and cares nothing about the tenants of the apartment complex. I have gone to him with issues on a couple of occasions, and he has given me nothing but attitude. If he doesn't want to work here, I really suggest that he quit and find another place of employment. His attitude really makes me second guess my decision to even live at this complex. The maintenance department is very slow of course, but overall the apartment itself is ok. I will complain on Will as much as I need to until his attitude changes. People like him really shouldn't be in the field of dealing with people. He's too smart at the mouth, and he really shouldn't be working there. He's entirely to dry, and has no personality in this field. The first time I went into that office he was still on the phone and playing solitaire, while I was there inquiring about an apartment.

The apartments themselves are okay as long as you do not intend to use the swimming pool much and never need management or maintenance support after hours. On the weekends when I have the day off, the swimming pool is locked about half of the time because whoever is supposed to unlock it cannot drag their self out of bed to do their job. Calling them is useless because there is not way to get in touch with them outside of office hours. There is a way for you to leave a message in case of an emergency situation or a lock out. I have done so on a few occasions but did not get a response. In the case of a real emergency I recommend not wasting your time and calling someone else who will actually lend assistance.

I am a military wife and mother and had to move here alone while my Hun went to school for recruiting for a month in a half. The employees here are very kind but I did not appreciate being given a filthy apartment. When my son and I walked in the apartment right after a 8hr drive to these apartments. It smelled like straight bleach in our apartment. Carpet was not new or at least shampooed, plus just a day in that apartment, my neighbors had a flood and the carpet in my room got wet. maintenance never came to clean it. I called four weeks straight calling and complaining. My room smelled like a wet dog and moldy. I knew that carpet was disgusting. Walls was not freshly painted, they were dirty. You can see all the dirt, dust everything in the corner of the walls, above the doors, in the air vents of the ceiling, and on the bottom part of the wall, I forgot what you call it that goes around the walls in the whole apartment. In my room someone stabbed to ceiling. You can tell they picked at it with a knife. One whole was thick enough to put two quarters in it. I don't know why someone would do that to the ceiling. The white paper they have over the cabinets was dirty and peeling off. Inside cabinets and closets was dusty and had dead bugs in it. Kitchen floor was so dirty my son and I feet was literally black. My feet never get dirty because I keep them covered, and clean. I was just shocked and disappointed with how dirty this apartment was. And the fact it smelled like they just cleaned it with straight bleach. If I could I would have left but couldn't. Once paper work was done to transfer out of Florida to here in Mississippi to these apartments, I couldn't be like "oh, holdy stuff or something." I can't even do the papers to move. My husband had to. Once it's done it's done. Plus the movers were coming the next day. It's hard to explain how the military do everything when they transfer you. I just wish my husband could have been with me. But I would not recommend them at all. They are not worth the amount they charge monthly either. I hate it hear. And I hate how you can hear your neighbors loud and clear. Oh and their gate is always breaking. Worst apartments I ever lived in. Horrible experience here in MS, new with no family or friends.

Not recommended at all.
The only reason I lived in the Lexington as long as I did is because I was stuck in a lease. The staff is rude and they do things to really "class up" the place. Such as putting signs at the gate stating that "rent is now due" and "rent is now late" every single month. Rent is due between the 1st and the 5th but god forbid you pay any later than the first. They will not hesitate to put an eviction warning on your door. Every single month. I always pay on the 2nd or 3rd and I always have an eviction notice. Also, don't expect to get any repairs done. I went almost 5 months with issues in my apartment that they refused to address. Parking is always an issue here and your car will get very pecked up. I bought a brand new vehicle while living there and ended up paying about 600 dollars to get scratches, dings, and pecks out of it. All suffered at this complex. The neighbors are loud, the parking is horrible, the staff is rude, and the apartments are not worth what they are asking. Do yourself a favor and move up the street instead.

We are happy here!
We moved into the Lexington Apartments July 2010. Raven, one of the leasing officers, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She makes you feel like you're a friend to her from the beginning. She even helped us find furniture stores and recommended restaurants that she likes! We live in a one bedroom apartment and are students (therefore we live off student loans). They were more than happy to work with us, and instead of making us show proof of income and such, they just allowed us to pay in advance for our year here. Anytime we had a problem, as far as something being broken, it was fixed right away. Maintenance are really on top of things. The pool has only been closed once since we have been here, and that was only so maintenance was able to replace the pool light bulb. I really do not understand all of the bad reviews! The only complaint I have about being here is the water. It smells like bleach when you turn on the tub faucet or sinks. At least there is fluoride in the water here! The more I think about the bleach smell, I understand why in a place such as Jackson/Ridgeland, MS. We probably want it in there! While the lexington apartments are close to Jackson, you feel rather safe due to it being gated. Gates are always closed when they tell you they will be. The fitness center is great also! I would recommend these apartments to anyone! We are very happy here, and I will hate to move when July comes around!

I like it
I have been in some bad apartments before, and these apartments are not like some of the residents have described. I think that the Management has been replaced and seem to be on top of everything. They have even asked me if a few descrepencies have been fixed. I reccommend this place to people that want to keep it nice. If the tenants show pride, then the community will show pride. I have no current issues for the complex and I will continue to live here with no problems.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Yes, THEY MADE THE NEWS WLBT "3 on your side" from PROBLMES!
This is by far the worst apartment complext that I have ever lived in, much less visited. Our carpet has never been cleaned, the City of Ridgeland had to shut down the pool bc it was highly unsanitary (was black bc of bacteria overgrowth). This apt complex made it on WLBT "3 on your side" bc the garbage was not picked up for weeks & the pool conditions. The office did NOT pay their bills so the whole complex was without WATER & there was nothing I could do. I had to miss work!! The office phone was also disconnected due to non payment. The security gates have only worked for about 2 months, the Gym equipment is broken, Tennis Court is overgrown with grass & net is broken. Children's playground is a HUGE safety hazard! Only 1 maintenance request for ever filled out of over 30 requests. Garbage disposal has never worked, dishwasher works half the time. Doorways & windows have gaps were cold/hot air comes in. Air condidtioner filters never offered. Over half of light bulbs were blown when we moved in, outlet covers missing, paint all over carpet, walls & floors. Blinds broken, TOO many problems to list. Water in sinks smell! Been through at least 4 managers in over a year. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! Over growth of algae & mold on sidewalks. The model apt is emaculate & great & with updated appliances & lighting. The actual apts do NOT EVEN COME CLOSE!! DO NOT MOVE HERE. Alot of the shingles are missing & some buildings in the back are uninhabitable as condemned by City of Ridgeland.

STAY AWAY
These are the worst apartments ever. The management sucks and the rent goes up every six months. If you want to be happy and comfortable, the lexington is not for you. The gate has not worked for almost a year now and the new management Jupiter is no better than the last. The have yet to repair the gate....RUN FROM THESE APARTMENTS!! All the 3 chicks do that work in the office are sit around and come and go as they please. If you report a repair to them I promise it will not get done, its like talking to 3 dumb blondes!! I advise all to stay away from the lexington. The maintenance me are purverts and instead of doing their jobs they walk around being fresh with the women. City of Ridgeland, please shut this down.

Don't move to the Lexington
Please whatever you do don t move here. The management is the worst and they are never in the office. The gate has only worked for one out of the several months that I have lived here. Trash gets pilled up and the lights in front of your apartment door do not work. The property does not pay their bills on more than one occasion the office phone was disconnected, and the water was turned off also. Looks great at first glance, but this is the worst apartment that I have ever lived in. I regret moving here. I can not wait to move. Once again don t move to the Lexington Apartments. Pipes get backed up and I have had toilets overflow in my apartment. Can t stress enough that you will regret it if you move here. Please don t waist your money.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT STAFF
This is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in! When i signed my lease i was shown the apartment where i would be living. I noticed several things that needed to be done and made mention of these things and was told it would be taken care of before i moved in. On the day of my move in I arrived at my new apartment with a UHaul and moving crew ready to move in. The apartment manager was one hour and fifteen minutes late arriving to work that day and i was told by the maintence staff that they were all getting used to being back at work from the holiday. when she finally arrived and i went into my apartment i noticed nothing had been done. I called her over and over requesting she do a walk through with me before i moved my things in she simply stated for me to write these things down that she was busy. "These things" included a broken dishwaher with molded water standing the bottom, a broken celing fan, broken blinds, scuffed walls, dirty and torn carpet, washer and dryer that were placed in my unit weren't moved into the slot nor plugged up and they were very dirty, the back porch had a hug black stain, and the entire apartment was nasty dirty from top to bottom. It took three weeks to get some of these things fixed and others well i'm still waiting. When i signed my lease the leasing agent told me that I could leave the lights on in the complex's name to avoid paying a turn on fee. This sounded great to me since i was being transfered and had many expenses. That was a mistake on my part I will admit. After three months i came home from a business trip to a dark apartment. I called the power company to inquire about this and they told me due to lack of payment and no permit for my apartment (the apartment had never been inspected by the city) that the power was out. I called the apartment manager and this lady could have cared less. She told me she would call the city and line up for them to come and get the power turned on in my name. She also told me she would call me back before she left for the day. 6:00pm rolled around and no call and no lights. I called the office to find out she had left for the day. I called the power company again to request information they told me no permit had been recieved and no information had been sent from the complex. I then took it upon myself to give all my information and went to check into a hotel. I called the next day three times and each time was told by the manager that she was taking care of it today she promised and that she was busy and passed me along to her assistant. The poor little assistant was lovely and listend to be loose my cool about three times that day. After no response and checking with the power company i went to get fact to face with the "manager" she was of course out of the office and again i voiced my concerns to the assistant. Again, i slept in a hotel. The next day i called over and over again and was told that yes the city inspector did infact come today and that it would take at least one more day for the process to be complete. The next day when i still had no power I had had enough. I went above the "manager's" head to her boss. This is clearly what it took to get a response from the "manager" of the complex who called be just after ending her conversation with her boss to YELL at me for talking to her boss. Long story short i checked into a hotel on Monday night and now it is Sunday of the next week and i'm still in a hotel. I have finally resolved the situation myself with the power company and have paid now twice for my electric bills ranging for three months and past due notices from before i've even moved in. If i could stand on the side of the road with a banner that read "Do NOT live at The Lexington" i would just so no one would make the same mistake as I did. The space is lovely and the comunity is very nice the neighbors are all very close due to the fact that everyone thinks management is a joke but i hate to even wonder what will happen next! This is by far the worst management, communication, customer service skills that I have ever seen in a staff I don't know where they got their experience but it seems it was from a clown school. I couldn't stress further to look else where for a place to live. The apartments across the road are lovely and i have a co worker who lives there they are a bit more expensive but worth the price this is where i will be moving as soon as my lease is up at this joke of an apartment community!

Very Poor Workmanship, bad management
For the 1st 6th month I didnot face any problem. Later ther was a service issue, I complaint several times but no one could bother about it. What else I could say, I regret moving here. Its not at all worth 800$ a month.
