Great location, beautiful landscapes outdoor, dog friendly complex. Only thing is the main side entrance of the garage needs to be really cleaned up of the cobwebs and dog urine smell. Some of the apt amenities should be updated as well. Especially since a lot of newer complexes are being built around the area.

Just moved into these amazing apartments. Great location. Great views of the city. Roof is available for get togethers and helps accentuate the city atmosphere. Korilynne the apartment manager was extremely helpful with all my questions and was well informed. You can tell she values her job as well as her staff. It makes me feel safe and valued as a customer to have such an asset in my building.

I have lived in Elizabeth Square apartments for 3 years.. I moved in May of 2014. I am moving out now bc I am leaving Charlotte, however if I were not leaving the city as soon as my lease is up I would be moving anyway. It is ironic bc when I moved in the apartments had so so reviews and it was fantastic, now the reviews are much better but it is going down hill rapidly. First, the positives: floor plan options are great, the gym is great and if partying by the pool is your thing its great for that as well. The neighborhood and walkability is fantastic. Megan at the office is stellar. She is super prompt, goes above and beyond and seems invested in the people that live there. Megan has been there for quite some time. Cons: The maintenance staff is lacking, normally they are relatively prompt but when they drop the ball, they drop it big time. The upkeep of the grounds has gone way down hill as have the upkeep of the hallways. I live on an area of my floor where people do walk by but at least 3 times a month I wake up in the morning and the welcome mats and garbage cans of mine and my neighbors are all moved around. i'm not sure if it is the new property manager or if it is the overall screening process but the quality of people they are letting live in the building are not good. The pest control has slowly become a problem. I got palmetto bugs last summer, I know for a fact my neighbor got them worse and we were told there is nothing they could do.. its hot out. The quality of the office staff used to be great, can't grab a package you need before the office closed, they'd drop it at your door.. you had a problem during nighttime hours they'd get it fixed and it is no longer the case anymore. For the amount of money you spend it is not worth it. I care more about the quality of the building then the resident events and that seems to be the primary focus.

Overall I've been very happy with Elizabeth Square. The maintenance people have come to my apartment in a timely manner and the staff in the office is always very nice (specifically Megan). They take all my packages, but leave the HelloFresh or Blue Apron at your door because they know its perishable. I can't hear my neighbors and there is always parking on my level in the garage (unless I come home at 11pm). The dog park is getting fixed so that has been my biggest complaint, they are putting in turf which is great but it did take awhile to get fixed. The gym is pretty decent and has everything you would need and doesn't get too crowded. The location is great and you can walk to so many places in Plaza.

Recently moved into Elizabeth Square from another Greystar property. So far, I have had a very positive experience living here. The location is hard to beat considering it is in walking distance to great bars and restaurants. The amenities here are awesome- the gym is equipped with many machines so you don't have to stand around waiting. The pool is well maintained and very popular among the residents. Megan in the leasing office is extremely informative and quick to respond to any questions or concerns I've had. She is an absolute pleasure! Elizabeth square is definitely worth checking out.

Do NOT live here if you can help it. - Try one of the many new, beautiful complexes around the area. 1. Parking - There's barely enough parking for residents as it is, so forget it when it comes to guest parking. The few spots are always taken and the street parking is limited. 2. Parking - You only get one spot per apartment, and have to pay an additional $30/spot per month. Doesn't matter if you have a 2 bedroom or even 3! 3. Noise - With Independence and the constant construction on 7th St., it is loud! 4. Crime - They refuse to put security camera in the garage so cars are constantly being broken into and stolen

Great location and choice of floor plans. Independence BLVD is way too loud to enjoy outdoor space however. Staff is great and invariably friendly. Great neighbors / people, all very friendly. Just writing enough for minimum required characters.

I have lived here since August 2015 and have loved it so much. The location is great and is surrounded by great places to eat and drink. The office staff is awesome (all new since move in except Ryan). Ryan remembers everyone, is very personable and is so nice to us and our sweet pup. She always wants to stop by the office to get a treat!

I recently moved here in August on 2016 and love this apartment complex. The area is amazing with tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. I looked at many places in Charlotte including multiple apartments in the Plaza Midwood area and finally choose this place because of the cleanliness as well as the staff. Ryan Donnelly helped me with the move in and made me feel at home. He was very upfront and honest with all the questions that i had and did not try to sell me an apartment but instead told me about this amazing community with passion and it sold itself. It is a safe complex with a great parking garage. I have always had a spot and not driving around each level at night, which i know can happen in other apartments. I recommend this apartment to anyone and often tell my friends how fortunate i am to live here. Come in today and tour the place with the friendly staff.

I have lived at Elizabeth Square for over a year and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is convenient to surrounding areas and is close enough to walk to near by restaurants, bars and stores. Maintenance has always completed requests in a timely manner. Ryan D. in the leasing office was a great help in showing units and completing the lease once I moved it. He has consistently made it a priority to answer any questions or concerns I have had since. I would highly recommend Elizabeth Square to anyone looking for a new apartment.

This place is great for young professionals that are looking for a fun place to live without the dorm atmosphere of some apartments. It's conveniently located next to Plaza Midwood. The amenities you get are great for the cost. Clean and safe. Great place to live.

Very pleased to call Elizabeth Square my home. Throughout my search for an apartment within the community that was the right fit for me, the community manager, Jacqueline, was incredibly helpful and patient. Beautiful community with friendly staff and a fantastic community manager! And, such a prime location nestled near Plaza Midwood and Elizabeth. I definitely recommend Elizabeth Square to those looking for a new apartment home.

The staff is friendly, however I moved from out of star and was unaware that Independence Ave was actually a highway, so my apt is really noisey. They were were going to allow me to move apts, but I didn't want to move again.

From the first tour to signing the lease, Elizabeth Square has been incredibly helpful. The staff is always very timely with their response to emails. I live on the sidewalk, and people walking by at night can be a little uncomfortable, but it is also expected in the city. The location to downtown is excellent. The workout facility provides plenty of various equipment, and the in apartment features are nice.

Great location - chose it because I can walk to the free trolley (10 min) that goes uptown for work, as well as lots of great restaurants and bars. Staff is very helpful, friendly, and responsive. They have been great in working with me about a few issues that plenty of places would say we're technically my fault and not help me out. The construction everywhere is a bit annoying, but that's a sign of a growing, high demand area I suppose. Sometimes hard to find parking, especially for guests on weekends. No noise issues, clean and well maintained, nice gym, pool, and common areas (which I have not fully utilized). I find it a bit pricey and don't like the included trash fee, but both are standard for this type of apartment. If it is in your budget, I definitely recommend!

Overall I am satisfied with the community. Pet control needs to be better. The pool gets very noisy in the summer, need to enforce the pool hours and rowdiness. Seems like many that are there may not even live here.

I just moved in a couple months ago and wanted to say that I have found the best place in Plaza Midwood. From the day that I started my search and called the community, I was impressed! The location is walkable to so much and my pup loves the private bark park. I even got to take advantage of the monthly pet spa. The staff seems really caring and maintenance is always walking around with a smile. The Magnolia Courtyard with large firepit and soft seating is one of my favorite places to hang out. The Hammock Lounge is also a great spot! I would recommend Elizabeth Square hands down. I looked at over 10 communities between Uptown, Southend, Noda, and Plaza. Elizabeth Square is my home and many more years if my employment keeps me in Charlotte.

I wouldn't recommend this property. Too expensive for what you have to deal with. The staff doesn't genuinely care about solving your issues and they won't be flexible to meet your needs. Maintenance takes forever to solve issues. For example, our ice maker hasn't worked properly the last 11 months and they've come five times but haven't fixed it. Our apartment wasn't clean when we moved in and we've had several maintenance issues. People don't pick up their dog poop at all, so if you're walking outside, use caution. There's always people sneaking in the pool who don't live there and they're too loud! A few weeks ago, four guys were drunk and hopped the fence and we're very disturbing while I was trying to relax. One of the girls who works at the front was laying out by the pool as well and she didn't say anything to them about trespassing. Elizabeth Sqaure is a nice complex and it's an excellent location, but I believe that there's better properties for what you're paying. We aren't renewing our lease because it's not worth it.
