This place is now called Creekstone at RTP. This place is not good. The rent has increased and you could definitely find other comparable places nearby. The rent includes Internet and cable TV, but if you don't watch TV it's a waste of money. Let me list a few reasons why you shouldn't move in here: - the management is not friendly (or useful or knowledgeable, except the maintenance staff. They were exceptional) - you can hear your neighbors very easily - a lot of the people there are nosy (as another reviewer said) - even though the complex is relatively new, there are certain design flaws that you don't notice until you live there (the track lights burn out quickly and you have to pay to have them replaced, the coat closet literally doesn't fit hangers in it, the showers get mildewy extremely quickly, the apartment I was in had extremely little natural light in the kitchen...I don't know if it's that way for all units) - the whole way of managing tenants seems outdated- they leave notices (sometimes sensitive with personal information) in your door instead of e-mailing; they don't tell you if you receive a package - most units have views that are undesirable, something I thought I could live with but turned out to be rather creepy when at dusk you realized you could see straight into your neighbors apartment - even though it's a great location in the sense that it's at the heart of RTP, the complex is located right off of a major road. If you like fast food maybe this would be a dream, but I personally never eat that stuff and those are the buildings you have around you - and did I mention that management staff was just awful?

Living at Creekstone was one of the worst experiences I ever had. The brochures painted a different picture than the reality of the situation. From soup to nuts, there was not one positive thing to say about the place. The appliances were substandard, the carpet looked like it was purchased at a rummage sale, the noise level was unbearable and the worst thing was the management or should I say lack of management. The top personnel did absolutely nothing to resolve issues as well as be accessible. Statements made by them were often erroneous or false. Thank goodness I do not live in that substandard housing.

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. The last few reviews are from the staff, I know this almost with 100% certainty since one of my good friends is friends with some of the staff. They have had to do this because they suck so much! Ever since this new management company has taken over things have gone downhill so fast you would not believe it is the same place. I have never been treated worse in my life. I feel as though they are sooo nice before you move in and then everything changes. No matter what it is you would like to address with the staff, especially the main manager, who is the biggest snob of all, you will be sorry you did. NOISY NEIGHBORS. People are just horrible all around here. Doesn't matter what you say or do, no one will help you make it feel comfortable or like home. Just don't move here. I am so sorry that I didn't listen to the other positive reviews. Read some real ones here: http://www.apartments.com/North-Carolina/Durham/Creekstone-at-RTP/1223985?searchCriteria=8Y8eB4LFE%2ff4UnOR0bEjY5CINGWK1MbkV3ZB8Y48CWQeOgZHApNqVvh6yzY%2f4x2RDmp0cqL0NKoOlc23NlfKvW-%7cTLtw-%7c1lDqN4mKK-%7ci6PN9m95CwX4dgNh65OUrYqRjSk-%7cXlI0vTCabmWa62dpDTrwvgtX1mPIO0FO%2fuZObEkrCoOjRzOg6mhxM6MA6BbMognk51mIq19ZwPl0B7CWYasyi%2f34ldRF7Z&sid=94bafdd9-616d-40d6-b291-ac3224e8ae4b&stype=reviewsearch#overview-and-ratings-reviews

Creekstone at RTP is a great place to live. The entire staff is extremely professional, the maintenance crew does a great job with work orders and the property is very clean. I really don't notice the train noise because the train only come through once or twice a day, Creekstone is by far one of the safest place I have ever lived, any issues or concerns I have about my stay are handle immediately by the staff team. Simply put, Creekstone at RTP is number 1 in my book. Kudos to the staff!!!!

I moved in before Christmas and so far I love living here! The apartment is very well maintained and is in a very convienient location to my job. I've read alot of reviews before moving in and I haven't noticed any of the problems other residents have posted. The office staff has been really nice to me and helpful when needed. Of course I can hear the train's horn when it passes by but nowadays I don't even notice it. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and coworkers.

Horrible, from the train noise to the rude office staff, don't rent here. You can find a comparable apartment for the same $ or less. Don't waste your money here. Brand new construction and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing, from walking, to going to the bathroom, stomping, doors slamming, pets running, appliances running, the list is endless. How can new construction be so shoddy? Horrible. Money could have been spent better on insulation and sound proofing then putting in cheaply made laminate/plastic hardwood floors and granite with huge seams. It's a joke. They sell you on granite and fake stainless appliances when there is poor insulation/sound proofing between floors and units. Noise from trains is another issue, we were told a train a day, it's like a train an hour and there is endless roadwork/construction behind the community. Only thing that separates the train tracks and the parking lot is wood fence. HORRIBLE Environmental nightmare. Such a shame considering it's a new community. You'd be crazy to move in here, we can't wait to get out, may even consult an attorney to know our rights within this lease. Leases only protect them not the little people like us. Good Luck.

As previous posters have indicated, the property was initially managed by Greystar and was sold to Trade Street Residential in May 2013. TSR took over the management as well and fired all of the office staff. This place went from being like a 5 star resort to a nanny state. The only positive was that they kept maintenance, who are a great group of guys (although for brand new apartments...this is not as relevant). The apartments interiors are nice- all brand new with granite counter tops. I like the layouts. Rent is a bit above market for the area. I did not mind paying above market when we had weekly resident socials, food trucks and yappy hours. The prior staff could not do enough for the residents- every single person knew my name & my dog's name and they were always looking for things to do - from arranging dry cleaning pickup to organizing food drives. They were terrific. My first run in with the new management was indirect. On the night they took over, it was a regularly scheduled "food truck' night. When I went to place my order, the owner of the truck told me that they would not be invited back. The new ladies were miffed she was even there. Mind you, hosting a food truck in which residents pay for their own meals costs these people nothing. A week later all of the residents received a nastygram alerting us that if we were to so much as hang a plant on our balconies (which are huge); it would basically be considered vandalism. No common sense was applied- and it set the tone for the new management. All resident socials and anything beyond the bare minimum stopped. In the last few weeks I was there, I saw some small signs of improvement, but I'm not sure it will be enough (there are a couple of ladies in the office who genuinely seem to try but I get the impression they are overruled by the powers that be). I feel like the parent company just doesn't do residential well- they don't even communicate with residents by email and they've stopped updating the Facebook page. The old owners were building a man made pond on the property. I guess the new owners decided that costs money so it now sits as a large swamp for the last year and a half. Also, there is a train track literally 10 feet from the property. By law, it has to blow it's horn at all hours. Not the owners fault, but certainly the renters problem. My rent was going to up by about $50 if I were to renew. Utilities were reasonable (about $60 for electric and $15 for water & sewer for a 1 bed). As I said, the apartments are nice but price is a tad bit high for the area. I highly recommend looking elsewhere with owners who don't run the property like a prison. I've moved out and everyone else I've met who lived here during the Greystar time is too. There are better companies to give your hard earned money to.

The NEW MANAGEMENT SUCKS. The -------- women is especially rude, ignorant, and lacks any customer service skills. I'm surprised she still has a job in an industry that requires some social skills. I hope she quits soon. The community itself is great and the apartments are new. The tenants keep to themselves, and seem friendly. I recommend the complex, but keep interactions with management few and far between.. you will not enjoy dealing with them otherwise.

The apartments themselves are very nice on the inside (considering it's a relatively new complex). I do love the apartment, and it's very spacious. I also like the location- halfway between Durham and Raleigh. However, there are a lot of flaws that aren't quickly apparent. I agree with the reviewers below about the change of management. The new management team is comprised of individuals who are rude and do not seem to care in the efficiency of their system. I have experienced oddities with my bills as well, incurring random fees that were not explained to me, and having to deal with the poorly designed website along with the unorganized bills that come by mail. If only they had a suggestion box, most tenants would be asking for and complaining about the same thing. They also charge about $60 for a "valet trash service." While it's nice to just stick your garbage outside of your door at night, they do not pick up recycling and if you happen to have more than one trash bag out they won't pick up any. Not only that, but there are sometimes trails of trash-juices down the stairs and in the hallways. It seems like I pay a steep price for a poorly designed, flawed, and environmentally unconscious system. Overall I love the apartment itself, but having to deal with the awful management for another year will definitely increase my chances of moving to a comparable location elsewhere.

To give my honest opinion. I think it's a great complex overall, however, the walls are thin so you do hear a lot of noise. The charges/fees can be frustrating, but compared to any other complex around -- I feel safe. So if this the price you have to pay to reside in a safe neighborhood, then I don't mind paying. Again, the only thing that I would stress as a concern is the thin walls. If you don't mind hearing your neighbors conversation, or kids screaming, or dogs barking...as you're sitting in your living room trying to watch t.v. -- if you don't mind it-- then I say go for it. Otherwise, look elsewhere. The noise can be a bit much.

Ignore all the reviews from before May. The management was bought out and the new management is AWFUL. They are controlling, stubborn, inconsiderate, manipulative and unreasonable. The apartment itself is physically attractive and lures you in with its updated style and new construction, but the apartment layouts are completely clunky and awkward. A ton of space is wasted just because of the poor design. I wasn't told at all that the apartment is right on a train track. It typically comes every couple of hours, and often at 11pm or 1am depending on the day. Your balcony is basically useless now because of the management and their "approved list of items" that are allowed to be out there, which basically falls down to nothing but chairs or tables. That's square footage you're paying for that you will never use. Overall, I think the apartments are quite overpriced, and this was one of the most expensive I looked at when shopping around. Most other places are 200-300 less per month, and don't charge pet rent. The area is very new and there is not a lot within a short distance outside of the 3 fast food restaurants right next door. A decent restaurant is about 10-20 minutes away. Unless the management changes again I would not recommend this place to anyone. I'm planning to leave as soon as my lease expires.

I looked for quite a few apartments in RTP and woodfield creekstone is one of the best.We always looked for stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops and this is one of the reason we chose this. The apartment layout and amenities are really good. Above all the staff here is very friendly and caring. They take care of things and you with great respect. Especially Ashley , we knew her from our previous apt in Raleigh and she is the best at service that I have seen so far.I would definitely recommend to stay here.

We are disappointed by the noise level of these apartments. We were quite shocked by the loudness of the tenants above us, and the barking of a large breed of dog near us. It is not well insulated. The staff is not over friendly. They seem quite abrasive in all honesty. They don't go above and beyond by any measure of the imagination. As another tenant indicated they do overcharge you for everything. You can not opt out of the cable, nor trash. The apartments are overly expensive, and yes they do charge you an administrative fee on the water bill. Yes, it is over priced. I was alarmed that we could not have access to the theater room after hours. The car wash is not available. We pay for these services, but they are not available. The grounds maintenance is poor. There doesn't appear to be a restriction on breeds, nor size. People do not clean up after their pets. You better watch where you walk. We have already had someone bang their car door into ours. Upon move in we thought the quality of tenants would be exceptional ... not the case. We were misled as well regarding the train. Don't be fooled, the noise is loud and intrusive. Be aware. It is doubtful we will renew our lease once it expires. The price does not equate to quality.

I'm here a few months (12 month lease) and I have to say I'm disappointed. The positives are the apartments are nice, finishes are okay, apartments are new. The gym is nice (for now). I now believe it's way overpriced though. I did research other communities but being on a time crunch, settled on Woodfield Creekstone. I'm also from out of state. The negatives, dog poop everywhere, I have witnessed people with large dogs not cleaning up their dog waste. I see many people with tiny dogs cleaning up but the people with these huge dogs, just make the dog squat, crap and walk away. GROSS! The staff doesn't seem concerned because there is dog waste all over. Where are the maint. people???? The noise is an issue as well, can hear neighors talking, fighting, and among other things ;) nasty! Parking is becoming an issue for the section I'm in as the other buildings are finished, so parking will become a bigger issue as more people rent, also the staff/maintenance people park in prime spots, which is ridiculous; as well as workmen who visit the community. The staff and workmen need to park in designated spaces by the office. The train tracks literally run 30 feet from the rear of this community. The staff said "oh the train comes through once a day", totally misrepresented. The train comes hourly if not 2x hourly...train comes through late at night after 11pm and before 5am...it's LOUD! The grounds are unkept, beside dog poop everywhere, there is garbage, overflowing garbage cans and pet waste areas. The stairwells are dirty. Don't ask me what the maint. staff does all day, considering this is a new community, what repairs could there be, as all units are new? They need to keep the community more clean. A broom and dustpan could go a long way on the sidewalks and stairwells. Water bills seem high and you're hit with a genearl/basic $6.00 fee on top of your usage? Why should we be paying an admin fee because the community doesn't want direct bill to the renter? Total ripoff in my eyes. You're forced to pay $20.00 a month for valet garbage service whether you use it or not. This may be good for a family of 4, but single or couples, how much garbage can we generate? You are also forced to have TWC at a $70.00 built in fee. No option to stop service and save on botht these service which add $90.00 monthly to your rent. Another catch for this community. Overall, disappointed. I most likely will not renew if I decide to stay in NC with my work/school program. They can improve this community, afterall it's only a few months old. I can imagine what it will be like in a year if these issues are what they are now. Sad. Thank you, ncisok

I recently moved to the area from out of state and selected Woodfield Creekstone purely online after looking at many different communities. The determining factors for me were: Large dogs allowed, layout / space, ammenities, new construction and location. I was understandably nervous picking after only viewing online but I can say that not only is the apartment EXACTLY as represented as on the website but actually better and the office staff is truly amazing. They made the process very easy, and virtually everything can be done online which was also key for me. They are also very responsive and proactively communicate via email to keep the residents up to date, which I really appreciate. The rooms are spacious and the layouts are excellent. The windows are very large and there is a lot of natural light. I also like the extra details such as the archway between the living and dining area, patio size and the finishes. Being new construction all of the appliances are new and having the ice and water dispenser in the fridge was a real winner for me. I find the kitchen to have very ample storage and prep area and in addition there is a pantry area as well. The ammenities are also excellent. I assumed the dog park would just be a grassy area with a fence but I was wrong, there are some agility toys there and a gazebo as well and my dog absolutely loves it. Valet trash service was new to me but now I wonder how I lived without it before. There is a car wash area I have not yet used an amazing clubhouse and a pool area with an outstanding patio with BBQ area that I chose to be near and am glad that I did. What isn't really covered on the website are these little pocket areas and courtyards all throughout the property - they are such a nice touch. The one near me is rock with some small trees, a water feature in the middle and some chairs around it and since it is an interor courtyard no windows face it so you only see people when they are coming or leaving their homes and I have already utilized it. Also need to mention the great garden soaking tub and that the basic cable and internet are included with rent and you end up getting a bulk discount when you add additional services (I liked being eligible for the discount!) Now for one of the most important things - construction quality! I am always a little wary of new construction because of a bad experience in NY where I could tell what the neighbors were having for dinner because I could smell it and knew who they were talking to on the phone. That has not been a concern here. I do have neighbors not only next to me but also above me and I have been suprised at the quiet, I hadn't even relaized I had neighbors until a few days ago and that was amazing. The only thing I hear is occasional muffled footsteps and when someone flushes upstairs I can hear water movement but it is an apartment and this is nothing as far as I am concerned. Parking is designed such that you can easily access your apartment from most areas, again, this goes back to the excellent planning and layout. With all of the walkways, etc even if there is not parking immediately in front of your building you are still close to your apartment. New construction ensures that things are well maintained right now but the finishes, construction quality, property layout and staff really made me want to make a post for others who might be considering choosing these apartments - I selected my unit site unseen and have been exremely happy being here.
