Package handling here is horrible. They don't take responsibility for your packages and the delivery people just leave them and say they have been delivered. If they have been delivered. I lost a few packages this way. I can't really refer this place with a good conscience on this fact alone.

Bathroom

It took 3 work order request, but I am satisfied with the repairs. The sink had hot water but the bathtub did not. I put the repair request in three times before it was repaired. My tip, keep putting in request until the repair is done correctly.

Great location being close to city and suburbs. Friendly community with great amenities. Management strives for continuous improvement whether it's new activities, services or amenities being offered. I haven't had any major maintenance issues, and regular maintenance requests are handled promptly.

Beautiful grounds if you are not looking to own a home right now. It's like having your own big backyard. The patio can use some more TLC. The electronic database needs to be updated and dog poop needs to be patrolled.

The apartments in my building, Cambridge, are truly beautiful, and the architecture is historically significant. I can stand and stare out my 16 pairs of casement windows for hours if I don't stop myself... The grounds have steadily regressed since the last major renovation in 2017 -- big trees come down, and are not at all well husbanded. There are no landscapers -- only "mowers" who cut the grass on huge mowers way too often. Vulnerabilities in my building are (1) elevators and (2) plumbing.

I have been a resident here for a year and I have never seen any bugs in my apartment until recently. I put in a maintenance request for the exterminated to come out and I want to be home when the exterminator got there and I left that instruction in the notes when I made the request it took them a little over a week, but the exterminator finally came out on my schedule and did his ones in twos and then after that the head of maintenance I want to say I don’t know his name came to check and make sure that the service was really complete. That there was top-notch to me the extra personal touch.

I love Alden Park. I've been here for 20 years and sure there are things to complain about , but that's any large community. For the most part I find the staff , management , security and maintenance staff to be attentive and friendly. If I had to describe one frustration it would be that I wish the apartment transfer process was a bit more streamlined for long tenured tenants. I wish To be here for another 20 years hopefully.

Happy with My New Home at Alden Park

I just moved into my apartment at Alden Park this past weekend. I was very satisfied with the condition of the unit. Everything was clean, properly functioning, and I could tell the unit was freshly painted. My utilities were turned on before I even arrived. Super satisfied! The grounds of the property were very clean and well kept. It’s a beautiful location and serene environment to live in. You can open your windows at night and hear almost silence. Jamira was my Leasing Agent. She is fantastic and I highly recommend her! She answered all of my questions and held my hand through the application and leasing process. She was there on my move-in day to give me my keys and answer all my last minute questions. Can’t say enough great things about Jamira! So far so good at Alden Park. Overall I am happy. ?? Beautiful Property, Wonderful Staff

My Leasing Consultant, Jamira Carter, was extraordinary. She gave us the red carpet treatment as we toured the property. The application process was also a breeze, she answered all of our questions, and really made us feel like we were home the entire time.

It didn't work the problem is still the same

I am extremely frustrated with the hot tub being broken and also the heated pool being broken I moved here a couple of months ago specifically and only for those amenities and I have not been able to use them for months. The staff has been nice but the fact that I cannot use the amenities that I'm paying for is extremely frustrating

Hot water

The hot water was not fixed. No one came to my apartment to check to see how or if it was working or how long it took to heat up. My water usage bill is going to be sky high. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to warm up the water and I have to have the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and bath tub water all running at the same time before the water warms. Now my bath tub is getting clogged or stopped up as a result.

The perfect peaceful home in an underrated area

This place has character and the architecture and design and amenities are amazing. It feels like you’re on a college campus (I guess you kind of are) but in a VERY underrated area with some beautiful walking/hiking places around. Absolutely beautiful this time of year, the trees are gorgeous and it’s just a peaceful home and felt that way from day one. Moremi from the office was incredibly helpful and kind and I can’t speak highly enough of her in helping me find this place.

Great Apartment and Great Neighborhood

We love our apartment which is bright due to several walls of windows. ,The neighborhood, East Falls, is Philly’s best kept secret with good bars and restaurants. A special shoutout to Henry and the maintenance guys who are always there to assist.

Everything is perfectly aligned with my prerequisites. I am a disabled veteran and this location allows me to commute to and from the VA hospital much easier. After a tiring day of medical treatment and evaluations I can return home for rest and relaxation in a quiet, calm, and peaceful atmosphere with excellent neighbors and staff members. The First review I wrote 10 years ago no longer applies

That review of Alden Park I wrote TEN years ago JUST go a response from the current management - SOOOOOO TYPICAL of the Alden Park I moved out of IN HAST 4+ years later. Both the Managment and the Ownship has changed by that time and they both STINK! They LIED to the manager of the next place I wanted to move to and told them my rent was ALWAYS late - MY RENT HAD NEVER BEEN LATE!! They also cared nothing for the safety of the residents - they wanted to improve flashy, showy things - and better lighting in the parking lots (after they removed all the 24 hour attendants) was neither! So residents got attacked or robbed and then things got ugly on the side of the Management/Owners… And that is when I left - I wanted a nice place to live, not a cause to join. (And that nice man Andrew, I mentioned, left soon after I moved in…and I never got his kind of attention and helpfulness from any employee after he was gone. DONT MOVE IN TO ALDEN PARK!!

Let’s start from my day I actually moved everything I owned out of this apartment building I was escorted to my door because I no longer had a key nor was renewing my lease or paying them another single dollar to only go into my apartment to see I had been robbed smh prior to this day I had not been there for about 3 weeks prior when I left my belongings was all there in tact the only ppl who had access to my door is staff when I walked in to see I had been robbed of all my TVs and kid PlayStation and a few other items that I noticed right away when I notified staff they assured me I was lying and never had TVs but yet & probly til this day the robbers left my wall mounts so I just had mounts and no TVs I have been emailing calling doing everything so that my items can be replaced and I can leave this place in the in past it’s been literally a nightmare on Wissahickon smh since I lived there smh. So now I’m told it’s out of there hand because they don’t see a key pulled why would yours staff the only ppl that knew this apartment was not occupied but off limits would pull a key it was forced entry ! Plenty of time I have been locked Alden park staff has open my door without a pulled key and this is a fact & absurd that this situation was handled so careless with no compassion as if they provided these items with the apartment but that’s 1 of many’s problems let’s go to the parking lot there is never ever no parking unless your are just a stay at home person and yet it’s coming out of your rent my car had been broke in twice there where the new staff that is there now the one who sits on the far right near the steps told me “Well this isn’t a gated community where they can stop this. “This is the same staff member who called me a liar about my apartment being robbed smh if only they can feel how it feels for someone to play wit your hard earned money . As long as I lived live my hvac in my rooms NEVER WORKED (air not heat smh ! We went through a whole court process did this in which when I actually moved out it still was molded and not working so if u move in MAA401 please make them replace the hvac in which they was suppose to do years ago ! I actually don’t know why I didn’t been sue them for the negligence, stress and ignorance the staff has no regard to your feelings what do ever if you don’t believe me just move there you’ll regret it me getting robbed there was actually my last straw to write a review because they sweep everything under the rug there security doesn’t secure the place what do ever you can find them sleep or in the back smoking it’s just a nightmare & that you are paying for . I have pictures receipts videos etc to back my issues when the times come but this is the list overrated stressing place I ever lived and to have to endure these issues with kids is crazy my infant and I was sleeping in a molded room for the blackouts are frequently and the elevator is down every 3 weeks get ready to use the trash transport elevator often . Only good thing is the outside ground are actually nice but to live there and really get into the detail of it will stress you out literally ! They actually should close manor side down and do a lot of renovations is sad if I was only handled with care this review would not have been done even after all the mess but sometime you can’t keep sweeping things under the rug as if it will disappear as the staff and management at Alden park does .

you get what you pay for

I’ve lived in Manor building for 2.5 years. I LOVE my apt, it’s super light filled and I will miss that. In Fall 2022, Alden Park administration and there have been significant improvements – increased communication, packages are MUCH easier to collect (shout out to the wonderful Package Room Concierge!), scheduled food trucks and an email is sent when the fire alarm goes off. The new cleaning company is working hard. Unfortunately, parking isn’t easy with many cars parked illegally and hard to find parking after 8 pm. Most importantly, the parking lots does not currently have lighting. Security also has to be addressed as the front gates are usually open and the door to my building is not locked. Work orders are processed quickly. My recommendation is to walk around the grounds (day and evening), walk from the parking lot to your entrance, check out the stairwell, laundry room and hallways before moving in. My neighbor smokes cigarette and the smell is terrible. During COVID I was mask-shamed numerous times and because of this I did not use the additional amenities. When I renewed my lease, there were additional charges added.

I really appreciate it, Alden Park is a great place to live, amazing nature, love the year round pool and great large gym. The apartment is clean and nice. The buildings are so well built that we almost never hear our neighbors. This is also at a good location. Recommended for those looking.

Kudos to the Maintenance Staff

Alden Park is a massive apartment complex built in the 1920s with over 700 units and 2,000 residents, including families with children, dog owners, college and med school students, and seniors who have downsized. Maintaining such a large, old property is challenging, but I've always found the maintenance staff to be responsive when I had issues with our apartment. I had an especially good experience recently when all of the flooring in the living areas had to be replaced. The work was done to a high standard by a reputable company during one very long day, and we are pleased with the result. Overall we are pleased with our experience here. The buildings are so well built that we almost never hear our neighbors (10-inch thick plaster walls!), we have a working fireplace, and a bank of beautiful new windows.
